"Dorthy, watch out!" said West as the two flew through a park on a broom.
"Sorry, I'm still getting the hang of this," said Dorothy.
"Let's just try landing for now," said West. Dorthy did as suggested and the first thing West did after touching the ground was fall on her butt.
"How did witches fly like that back in the day?" asked the teen witch.
"No clue, but it was kind of fun," said Dorothy as she sat down next to the other girl.
"Of course you think that was fun," said West while laughing.
"At least magic is starting to return to Oz, it'll change so much from now on," said Dorothy before laying back and looking up at the sky.
"A lot has already changed," said West while looking down at the human with a smile.
"What did you say?" asked Dorothy who was not fully listening.
"Nothing," said West as she looked away.
"And we should get back soon before it gets too dark out," she said while noticing the setting sun.
"Then we had better take the fastest way home," said Dorothy while grabbing the flying groom.
"I hate that you have a point about that being the fastest way," said West with a regretful expression. That evening, West was laying in her bed just looking up at the ceiling.
"Can't believe I'm such a coward," said West before using a hand to cover her face.
"Dorothy has already been here for over a year and I still can't tell her the truth," she said while rolling over.
"West dear, are you still up?" asked Cyra as she knocked on the door.
"Yes mom," said West.
"What's bothering you dear?" asked Cyra while walking into her daughter's room and over to sit by her.
"I have a crush on someone," said West as she moved to sit up.
"Who is it?" asked a surprised Cyra.
"Dorothy," said West in low tone at the same time she looked away from her mother.
