How Taro and Osoro got together

This story explores the concept of Taro suffering sever mental trauma and personality change, because his childhood friend Osana and four other girls he liked died. As a result of the personality change he is attractive to Osoro, and they fall in love.

The violence at the end serves to demonstrate just how broken Taro really is, and how much he hates the killer of his friends.

The characters problematic attitudes towards murder show that they are considerably flawed. But flawed characters can also be very interesting.

This story is also loosely inspired by the YanSim Stories found here ( u/5512865/pumpkin-archive) but I could not help but throw poor Taro a bone and let him get back at the killer and get the rest he direly needs.

When the 7 weeks of suspension are over, Osoro Shidesu returns to Akademi. However things have changed in the meantime. There was a series of deaths, so called "accidents", in the span of 5 weeks 5 people died in suspicious circumstances, all of them on Fridays. The cooking, drama and occult club were shut down. The following two weeks there have not been any deaths, but the people at Akademi are still very paranoid and the atmosphere is very low.

Osoro Shidesu went to her protégées - the "delinquents", and they greeted her warmly…but they were also still terrified because of the series of murders and stayed together as to not be picked off one by one.

However what stuck out to Osoro Shidesu the most was that plain, black haired guy.

Had she ever seen him? He wasn't a new student, but looked unfamiliar.

The way he was sitting at the fountain, hunched over and how he stared about grimly with dull unhappy eyes, …and when she approached him, he suddenly looked very hostile, stood up abruptly and glared at her.

So much rage…but it did not appear to be directed directly at her…and she could sense that he wasn´t planning on attacking her, unless she got too pushy with him.

"STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" he roared at her and ran away.

What. Just who is that boy?

She pursued him out of interest.

She finally cornered him and pressured him to explain himself to her.

He screamed incoherent things at her at first. He claimed that he was cursed and that every girl that approached him at Akademi died, and that she must have a death wish if she approached him. Was she crazy or what, he even threatened to push her away if she did not leave him, he did not want anyone else to die because of him.

She told him matter-of-factly that she wasn´t exactly weak, in fact she is one of the strongest people at Akademi, and that she was not afraid, which was the truth. She also told him that he had intrigued her, also true.

He is really Taro Yamada …he? This wild and broken guy with messy hair does not look like him…but on a closer look you can recognize that it is still him…he does not look like the smiling boy who sat at the fountain with a book at all anymore…

Taro Yamada then tearfully apologized to her over and over and cried. He rambled that he was sorry for allowing her to stay near him and that he was too weak and selfish for not pushing her away like the others…

Oh, the people who died were all those people that got too close to him.

Well, he had piqued her interest, and she even liked him, and was not afraid to be near him, and he did not push her away anymore now. He was unusual and exciting to her.

He was in the martial arts club for several weeks , and had become quite proficient at martial arts in those few weeks. At an unusual rate.

She introduced him to her protegees, and he could hold his own against them, he was nearly as good at fighting as them, that is extraordinary.

He also fought with nearly unmatched ferocity, this was fascinating to watch. Osoro could not help to blush at that.

She asked him how he had learned so fast and he told her that he trained every day and even with his sister too. The time she found him at the fountain he just had nobody to train with at the moment, as everyone else he could train with was occupied.

Over the next few days he opened up , and she understood very well why he was not the old Taro anymore.

It was very hard for him to open up to her, and he struggled with tears and overflowing emotions frequently while telling her.

She felt very sad, knowing how much he had suffered and despite being tough and used to the harshness of life, she could not help but be unusually horrified.

His childhood friend Osana Najimi had been found drowned in a toilet and it was very likely murder. She wanted to confess her love to him , but now she could never ever do this. Not only he, but also his sister was devastated. The just could not believe that it happened, on moment she was still alive, well and smiling and the next one she was found dead. Both grieved for most of the weekend and then his sister, usually quite clingy and dependent on him, suddenly took the initiative and held ad an angry and fiery rousing speech and proclaimed that they should learn martial arts to protect each other and their loved ones, and that was when Taro joined the martial arts club and taught her to fight as well. The martial arts club leader was happy to have a new pupil and was impressed by the speed he leaned to defend himself.

The second week he was offered a muffin by Amai Odayaka, the leader of the cooking club, and he warned her, that he might be cursed because his girlfriend had died, but he failed to push her away and was still angry and upset for failing to do so and felt intense guilt. She died of poisoned food at the end of the week.

When Kizana Sunobu, leader of the drama club approached him in the third week, he pushed her away rudely, to protect her, but he faltered and she spent time with him nonetheless, and she died of electrocution at stage.

By now Taro was no long the same person at all.

Even Oka Ruto, leader of the occult club, got together with him, despite how much he tried to push her way, he still faltered in the end and let her be near him. She tied to find out what kind of curse it was that he had, and if she could counter it this way she could be near him nonetheless, at least she thought this. But she could not find it out, and she was killed by a falling bookshelf…

Taro pushed away Asu Rito, leader of the sport club with all his might, but even she managed to get together with him, despite his heavy protests. He taught her martial arts, so she could defend herself, but to no avail -here Taro could not tell her any further and got crazy(a crying and shaking fit) , and Osoro shidesu hat to calm him down.

Asu Rito was found dead as well, there were several severed pieces of her put into trash bags. The Murderer was never found so far.

Taro vomited out his bento and clutched his stomach afterwards.

She consoled him, she would not die by the murderer. He did not believe her and told her that she got into this herself and that he failed to protect her form the murderer and apologized to her again…

After Asu´s death, Taro managed to successful push away Muja Kina, the substitute nurse, and at least she is still alive, he told to Osoro bleakly, and Mida Rana is alive too, but arrested for sexually harassing students. This is thanks to the help of the photography club, they collected the evidence to arrest Mida Rana and showed it to the guidance counsellor. Not taro himself did that, he would not go near women, If he could help it.

Taro also considered ending it all, he had failed to find the killer, but he would never try to do it, because his sister needs him, and he does not want her to suffer the same pain he has.

No only he had opened up to Osoro, she opened up to him about her own story…but without the nastiest parts, it was certainly not a nice one either…

And they fell in love, and he hung out with her and her protegees.

She also found out that he did not call her by her first name because it reminded him too much of Osana.

On Friday, he was unusually on edge, and stared everywhere angrily.

They spent their time at the incinerator area, like usual.

And then the killer appeared, at first a weight dropped which was meant to crush Osoro, but she dodged it. Ominous. The a bucket of water was emptied to the ground, but she avoided it with her quick reflexes.

And then the killer appeared.

She tried to stab Osoro from behind to kill her, and then probably dispose of her corpse in the incinerator.

Not today, bitch, Osoro though and threw off the opponent. It was an otherwise inconspicuous raven haired girl, but her skin was unusually pale, and her eyes glinted crazily, telling Osoro that this girl would be willing to do anything. In shot a dangerous opponent, like a rabid wild animal. The girl charged at her with a knife, but Osoro was stronger than her, and fought her off. The girl suddenly dropped to her knees and said "Senpai ...no…", but then she charged with feral abandon at Osoro. Osoro tried to fight her off, but this time her assault was much stronger, because this time she fought will all her strength with reckless abandon, completely uncaring of the risk of getting injured, not just like a feral beast, but an injured feral beast. The knife almost reached Osoro, as she failed to push it back, but then she hear a feral battle cry as Taro Yamada came to her rescue and used his bare fists to beat the assailant.

"IT WAS YOU! YOU BITCH! DIE! DIE! DIE!"

But she would not die yet and attacked him. But he could hold the knife back long enough for Osoro to intervene and distract her and rip out the knife from her hands to prevent her from stabbing him, saving his life.

When the assailant was distanced again, Taro hit her with his fists again, rapidly and fiercely, and after beating her to the ground he yelled things between every hit.

„YOU KILLED OSANA!"

The killer screamed in agony as she was decimated. Taro´s face had contorted in utter and insane rage.

„YOU KILLED AMAI!"

„YOU KILLED KIZANA!"

„YOU KILLED OKA!"

„AND YOU KILLED ASU!"

"ROT IN HELL!" And Taro was smiling while he was beating her further and further, …but it wasn't the same smile he smiled several weeks ago, no, by far not… it was that kind of smile that Osoro Shidesu herself was all too familiar with, and which scared even her herself.

He had beaten the assailant to a lifeless bloody pulp , with a crazed emery that matched the energy of said assailant.

Then he stared at the bloodied corpse that was disfigured to a degree it was almost unrecognizable, and he started laughing crazily…

"Taro-kun CALM DOWN! NOW!"

She screamed at him, she needed to stop him, this had gone on for far too long. He blinked and looked at her dazedly. The he looked at the corpse and his hands, at the corpse again and then at his hands gain and was shocked…

"…My god…what have I done! I … killed someone! What have I … done? WHAT HAVE I DONE!"

Taro kun had saved her life, but he had snapped and killed the assailant in a brutal fashion , and now he was going into a state of shock, as the adrenaline was wearing off.

Her protégées came running towards her (why were they even away in the first place?) , and she knew that the wanted to apprehend taro for understandable reasons.

"STOP! He saved my life from the murderer!" she screamed at the them and they listened.

Now they had to act quickly. Taro was retching and crying. They had to erase the traces of what had happened, and quickly, before anybody else noticed!

First Osoro told Taro that he could not tell anyone what had happened, or he would land in prison.

Then they dumped the mangled corpse of the raven haired girls into the incinerator , and then Osoro´s protégés brought buckets, and mops and other cleaning equipment to clean up the blood and vomit. Osoro dragged Taro to the entrance of the men's showers quickly and told him to shower and then change to his sports clothing. Tao went inside and luckily he did so quickly because now people were walking past them.

Then Taro came out in his sportwear. His bloodied school uniform was then dumped into the incinerator too, no need to take risks. He had more of them at home by the way.

However his fists were badly bruised, but this could be excused by telling that he had fallen and scraped his hands badly on the hard ground.

People were confused, she had told her protégées to join in with the cleaning, because usually they would not participate, and she told them to clan other areas too, so they would play with the expectations people had and lowered the chance of the murder getting detected.

Murder…she had to kill too, it was the hardest the first time you had to, and while it got easier, it never felt any better. She winced at the memories..

Now Taro had is first kill to.

She had to be there for him, he looked so shaken.

He could not believe what he did, and that he was a murderer now, and that he was free of his tormentor…

She told him, the world is a harsh place, and that you don't always get the luxury to not bloody your hand to survive…It's not like you can choose what you have to do in order to survive…

She told him what exactly she hat to do to survive…

He did not like this, but accepted her nonetheless, now he was like her too. It made sense to him, what she did, even if he hated how much sense to made to him.

He then told her that he never ever thought, that he would be free of the curse… or rather killer, and thanked her for helping him.

Osoro then was there for Taro, he needed this. Tato is also still afraid that this is just a dream and doe not dare to hope that he is free just yet...poor him..

Then they joined in on with the cleaning, this would serve do distract taro a bit to help him calm down, and in the evening Osoro confessed to Taro, and he did accept her, but he was clearly still in disbelief, that this was happening, that he had a girlfriend again.

They kissed under the cherry tree and were together comfortably until the evening.

Then they went to Taro´s house together. Taro did not want her to go alone and she understood why. Her father did not like her anyways, and so she was happy to be invited to Taro´s house.

There, Taro´s sister greeted them ,and she was happy that Taro had a girlfriend now.

However she look very conflicted. She was still afraid that he would neglect her once he had his girlfriend, but she wanted the best for him.

Taro introduced Osoro to his sister. And told his sister what had happened today.

Taro was also sad and felt guilty, and confessed that he was not he same brother that Hanako chan loved so dearly anymore, but then his sister just told him to look at her.

And he saw what Osoro had understood from looking at old photographs of the Yamada family that were scattered inside the house.

Just like his brother, she did not look like her past self anymore either. Instead of twin tails she had a simple bob cut, and she no long had a heart shaped pin in her hair. And she was no longer smiling childishly , but looked serious and mature.

Osana was her childhood friend too, this explains things.

Osoro then thanked Hanako chan for motivating her brother to learn martial arts, because this saved her life today.

Then Hanako chan smiled at her. "It's no problem, I so glad I could help, so that the Killer of Osana is finally dead!"

"Big brother, did you really beat her to a bloody pulp? Did you make her suffer?!

SHE DESERVED EVERY SINGLE HIT!"

"Sister, not you too…"

Taro - the same person who beat his tormentor to death with bare fists - was upset that his sister suddenly acted so bloodthirsty.

She was very sweet and innocent once, but now not so much anymore.

It is unfortunate, but unfortunate events do change people.

But we all have to live with it.

But even if Taro kun has not really grasped that he is free of the killer now, and will not be the same anymore, just like his sister, the future for him doesn't look as bleak as before anymore.

Of course Taro´s sister will not tell anyone that he killed the attacker.

Then Taro´s parents came home ,and they disapproved of Taro´s girlfriend, and Taro got very angry out of a sudden and lashed out at them, but was immediately horrified at his outburst and apologized profusely to them. They let Osoro stay with them, and she behaved herself well.

Osoro and Taro walked to school together with Hanako the next week. Only now did Taro feel hope again, and he was very afraid that it would be crushed. Taro was understandably afraid that not only Osoro would be killed, but also his Sister. However they both consoled him that they are safe now. Taro and his sister then hugged each other very tightly, and Taro and Osoro kissed each other. He also finally called her by her first name!

And then Taro smiled a small smile at them, not a forced one, but a real one, it was tentative yet hopeful. It was the first genuine smile he must have had in weeks. Taro is slowly understanding that he is safe now, Osoro understood well, why it took so long for him to do so.

Hanako had impressive fighting skills for her age and considering that she had trained only for barely tow months too, just like her brother. Osana´s murder had made her very determined to get stronger for revenge.

Hanako chan could fight her protégés and hold her own against them for a time. Of course Osoro made sure they were not too rough with her, but still, an impressive feat.

Because of the deaths, Taro kun had tried to get people to stay away from him, but this was the very reason Osoro got attracted to him it the first place. And this worked out in the end for both of them.

In the next two weeks, the learned that their group, the "delinquents" as everyone called them, faced the threat of expulsion, if they did not behave well and stop being "delinquents".

They had to budge and start behaving like normal student again.

But it doesn´t matter to Osoro, because Taro is recovering from his horrible past ordeal, if ever so slowly, and it is not only him, but also his sister, they both show some of their lost warmth again.

Life was still grim, but facing it together is easier than facing it alone.

They had each other and would be there for each other untill the very end.
