Chapter 1480

Knew Before We Did

'This isn't real.' John's mind told him.

John opened his eyes and sat bolt upright in bed and looked around. He took in a big gasp of air.

He'd been dreaming.

He was alone.

He quickly looked on both sides of the bed to make sure he was really alone. The dream was too intense. Maybe it bothered him because it was who he'd dreamt about. It wasn't Riley, it was Future Riley. She was dead.

There was no one there.

Wait.

Maybe they were hiding.

He bent further over and looked over the side of the bed and underneath it.

What's that?

He could see two feet and a pair of legs on the other side. There was nothing there three seconds ago.

What the Hell?

"Did you lose something?"

John toppled all the way over the side of the bed and landed on the floor.

He slowly lifted his head back up to see if anyone was really there.

There was.

Now what?

"Hi, Claire." John said.

Claire looked at John sprawled on the floor.

"Do I even want to know?" Claire asked.

John was embarrassed.

"I think I experienced a bad dream." John said.

Claire smiled.

"It happens." Claire said.

John noticed Claire held a coffee mug.

"What's that?" John asked.

Claire held it out for him.

"It's for you." Claire said. "Cameron told me to bring it when I went 'back'. I guess she knew I would. She said you'd need an espresso to get back 'up to speed'. I can see it's the case. You need a jolt of caffeine to get back in the game."

John stood up. He realized he was naked. He'd forgotten in all the excitement. He felt a little embarrassed since Claire was clothed.

Claire could see John was uneasy. She actually wanted to see him in his unaroused state. It would give her a better idea of how things expanded. She noticed it was quite a bit.

"Relax." Claire said. "It's nothing I haven't seen before."

She'd already experienced it in several places.

John walked around the bed and took the drink. He looked around for the hot chocolate chaser. He didn't spot it. He saw Claire take her shoes off. He quickly drank the hot liquid. It still tasted like battery acid, but he didn't comment. He didn't want to seem like a sissy in front of Claire. He knew his mouth would soon find more pleasant things to occupy his mind. It was clear Claire wanted him to undress her again.

Claire reached out and touched him.

"I see why Cameron referred to it as 'Little Willie'." Claire said. "It's kind of cute when it's sleeping."

John took her top off. The simple act alone gave him some extra blood flow.

"Oh, my. That's a big one." Claire said. "The espresso works wonders."

The manual stimulation helped.

"I think it's because you're touching it." John said as he slipped her pants off.

Claire was ready to make it a two way street.

"Well in that case, fair is fair." Claire said. "I guess you'll just have to touch mine."

John quickly pulled her underwear down and she stepped out of them.

They stood naked before each other.

Claire wanted to reassure John of her personal commitment.

"I'm here because I want to be with you." Claire whispered.

John carefully picked her up and gently laid her in the bed.

His simple act really excited her. It made her feel special.

He got in bed next to her.

They kissed and touched each other.

John kissed her again and started to work his way down. The 'special espresso' would be in effect by the time he returned back to the top.

Claire was antsy with anticipation. She was already about half of the way there when he started in. The first finish was almost immediately as her back arched up and she gasped for breath.

John was excited by her response to him. The response of all the girls was different from Cameron's responses. He could tell they all could feel more and enjoyed things more. Their response made his response more exciting. It seemed the neural network on cyborgs was designed to simulate human responses more than replicate them in their entirety. Cameron told him the Restorator's neural network was much better designed than a Terminator's neural network was.

After her third finish, Claire wanted to make sure John was good to go.

She was also able to tell the last person he was with was Jesse. She was afraid it was going to be Riley since she'd heard John say her name when she prepared the espresso like Cameron told her to do. She wasn't sure what the powder was mixed in with it. There was a slight blue color to it. It seemed bitter when she tasted a few grains. Maybe it was additional caffeine. She didn't know it was some 'special medicine' from the Captain's private stock on the ship. There were a lot of people to 'entertain' as part of his duties, most of them were females.

Summer followed her mother once she left the Command Center. She already knew which room she was going to go into. She noticed the last minute hesitation but her mother went into John's room like she knew she would.

She was aware of what was happening in Sarah's room as well.

Jan was going to go there in a minute. It was going to be a surprise to her when she did.

Sure enough Jan came out of the rec room.

"There's a new operation developing." Summer said.

Jan looked down towards her room. She then looked at Summer.

"It sounds like more fun." Jan said.

Summer wanted to make clear the seriousness of what was about to happen.

"It won't be fun what happens." Summer said. "This is all big girl stuff."

Jan knew a lot of big girl stuff already happened to her body.

"I'm a big girl." Jan said.

Summer looked her over. It seemed to be more so every day. It was the same for her. She wanted to make it clear.

"The Metal girls are going after sex traffickers." Summer said.

Jan already had several eye opening conversations with her mother about the future going forward. She'd also been very direct about males in her current time line.

"I know what happens." Jan said. "My mom said it's what she'll do to anyone who touches me."

Summer didn't doubt it. Sarah expressed strong convictions. Some of those changed earlier today. Go figure.

Jan and Summer entered the Command Center.

John Henry greeted them. He'd listened to Summer warn Jan of the nature of the operation. He didn't want to comment further.

He got Summer up to speed. He also pointed out an added 'problem' which developed. The girls from the ship went too far this time.

Summer saw it differently. It was an opportunity to 'feel out' the new girls, in a different way.

"Now is our chance to 'test' them." Summer said.

It sounded like a really bad idea to John Henry. He thought they should be dissuaded, not encouraged. Anything to bring them closer to the Resistance orbit was going to endanger their lives. He knew the current operation the Metal girls were on technically wasn't a Resistance operation. He really didn't think there was a distinction between Resistance operations and Cameron's 'off the books' operations. He really thought it was a matter of interpretation. It used the same personnel against a similar goal. They were both about protecting the future. One was just a little more direct than the other.

Samantha waited until Jesse seemed occupied again with Precious. She headed back out. It took a lot longer than she'd anticipated. She went straight to John's room and listened. It was as she suspected.

John was in there with 'Riley' all right. She could hear two people in there. They were definitely going at it.

She thought about going in there and getting her 'one time' with John. She could also be with Riley too. It was what she wanted more anyway.

She reached for the door handle. She decided she was about to lose her virginity, even if her chassis already had. Cameron owed her for what she'd taken from her when she 'borrowed' her chassis.

Riley and Sarah shared wildly in the dark. It was the second time they were together. This time they knew who they were really with.

The wild sex was over.

Sarah was thrilled with everything. Now she was ready for a little more. She would like to have a little visual stimulus to go along with the physical stimulus.

"Can we turn on the light?" Sarah asked.

The thought really excited Riley. It was something she wanted as well.

"I hoped you'd suggest it." Riley said.

It was clear they both wanted to 'see' each other. There was always a lot of excitement to actually look at someone new. Everyone was different, even if they were the same. They were all beautiful. Some were just more beautiful than others.

Sarah and Riley both started in wildly on each other once the lights were on. It was very exciting for them to actually experience each other in a new way, even if it was the same way. They were both able to finish very quickly.

It was time for some love now.

The kisses were slow and gentle. They worked on each other until they were both where they wanted to be. New excitement flooded them both as they made love to each other in every way they could.

Neither one of them thought about Derek or Kyle coming back and finding them. It didn't matter right now. They were both blinded by lust.

Sarah was with more than one man at a time in the camps in the jungle. She might even go for a 'four way'. She was very wound up right now.

The thought alone sent her over the top again.

Cam and Holly told Allison and Vanna they would need to ride in an SUV and be the backup team only. They wouldn't be allowed in the van for the operation. If they didn't agree to it, they would delay the entire operation and everyone would go back to the base.

Vanna felt they still could exert some leverage.

"We'll only do it if both of you go and assist with the operation." Vanna said.

Cam received some new information from John Henry in her com. There were some more assets in play.

"Deal." Cam said. "You and Allison will remain in this SUV."

Allison wanted to make her point clear.

"We worry about everyone too." Allison said.

Cam and Holly got out.

Another SUV pulled up.

As soon as Cam cleared the door Bob sat down in the driver's seat.

"Hey!" Allison said.

Vanna thought they'd just got played.

"You tricked us." Vanna said.

Bob knew they weren't referring to him specifically. He did want to comment on it though.

"Hello, to both of you too." Bob said. "I feel unwanted now."

Vanna didn't want to make Bob feel 'bad'. She still felt Cam 'played' them.

"It isn't you." Vanna said.

Bob wanted to set the parameters right from the beginning. He wanted to let them know who else was on the scene and what their limitations might be.

"We're going to remain one block out. Jim will stay with Derek and Kyle. They're going to be one block out on the other side. In order to be here, they need to operate under the same restrictions both of you do." Bob said. "We don't know what will happen. They may have reinforcements. We're in the city, so our response needs to be moderated."

The girls thought it sounded fair. They knew Derek and Kyle would feel the same way they did. At least they were there. The Metal girls knew they were there and wanted to do more.

Derek and Kyle could see the girls were even unhappier than they were. They were used to being sidelined. The girls weren't. Cameron usually kept them very isolated.

Jim took off to take up their position on the other side of the location.

The girls watched them go.

They saw Gail and Holly get in the front of the van. Sheila, Ally, Hanna, Cammy and Cam were all in the back. They would be the assault force. They planned to go in and 'clean house' at the janitorial front location, and any other location they uncovered. It included the florist shop. They were both 'fronts' for the sex trade.

Mary regained her composure once the skull and crossbones disappeared from her old phone. She wanted to push forward.

"Let's go." Mary said. "I saw the address on the florist van."

Laura and Leticia looked at her.

"Are you nuts?" Laura asked. "You saw the warning."

Leticia looked very upset.

"We're all gonna die." Leticia said.

Mary wasn't so sure. 'Sue' could have killed them when she put the phone in the car. They'd wondered where she went earlier. Now they knew. Nobody touched them.

"If we're going to die, let's go see what we're dying for." Mary said. "We earned this."

Leticia wondered why they were even still alive. All three of them could be dead on the ground now. She saw how things played out in the movies.

"Sue could have shot us all in the back with her silenced gun." Leticia said. "She didn't."

Mary knew something could have happened behind them since they didn't see what happened. She did have one question for Leticia.

"How do you know she carries a silenced gun?" Mary asked.

Leticia knew what the movies showed.

"All spies and secret agents do." Leticia said. "Everyone knows it."

Laura thought things would end badly too. They were warned but not stopped. None of them were dead.

"Let's just go and see what they do." Laura said. "I want to see what I'm dying for."

It seemed all the girls thought the same thing more or less.

"Sue must want us to see. She also warned us indirectly it was dangerous." Leticia said. "She didn't disable the car. She could have used her silenced pistol on the tires."

Mary remembered 'Sue' wasn't gone for very long when she'd left the group earlier.

"Maybe she didn't have time." Mary said.

Laura saw some keys on the seat.

"Where were your keys at?" Laura asked.

Mary spotted them earlier.

"They were on the seat next to the phone." Mary said.

Laura thought it was a strange place to leave them.

"Is it where you left them?" Laura asked.

Mary caught her drift. She wouldn't have put them on the seat. She'd only turned the car off when they got out.

"I left them in the ignition." Mary said.

Leticia understood it for what it was.

"Sue showed you she could have taken them." Leticia said. "Do you have a spare set?"

Mary wasn't sure why she would have two sets of keys with her. It didn't seem like something very many people would do.

"I don't have them with me, they're at home." Mary said. "They're for my backup in case I lose these."

Mary looked closer at her keys.

Laura could see Mary looked a little more ashen.

"What's wrong?" Laura asked.

Mary noticed something now. The keys were different.

"My spare set is on the ring now." Mary said. "It was like that when I picked them up right now. I didn't notice it at first."

Leticia saw 'Sue' was several steps ahead of them.

"Sue is slick." Leticia said. "She anticipated we were going to do this. She knew before we did."

Mary needed to think about it. There was no other explanation.

"I think you're right." Mary said.

Leticia felt a sense of excitement mixed with fear. She began to realize it wasn't a warning. It was a test. They were being tested. There could only be one reason why they would be tested.

"Sue is trying to recruit us to be secret agents too." Leticia said. "She wants to see if we will fold or shine."

Leticia pictured herself needing to sleep with unknown men, and women, to obtain information on a secret mission. She could do it. She was sort of 'trained' for it already. It wouldn't bother her. She figured if anything, it would actually stimulate her further to do what she was doing, if it was part of a secret operation. The mission might depend upon her ability and skill.

Laura saw it as a probe a little deeper into their character. She agreed with Leticia.

"Sue wants to see if we cut and run or show some backbone." Laura said.

Mary thought it over. They'd been groomed for recruitment since the first day on the ship. Maybe there was a spy agency behind it. There were like seventeen different spy agencies in the USA alone. Those were just the ones the public knew about. She figured it was probably twice that number. They're probably secret groups, within secret groups, within secret groups. It was a little mind boggling. There was also a deeper undertone.

"I knew it was too good to be true." Mary said.

Leticia knew what she referred to. She'd acquired plenty of first hand experience over the years.

"Everything in life has a price." Leticia said. "We don't always know when we need to pay the toll."

Laura wondered how they were supposed to fit in. She felt they were 'under dressed'. She'd watched the special girls put on protective gear.

"What are we supposed to do?" Laura asked. "Those girls were all armored up with vests and stuff."

The three girls were really worried about what they were mixed up in. They were all a little terrified and intrigued about everything happening around them and to them.

Leticia noticed someone she knew about who wasn't there. There were actually a couple of them.

"I didn't see either one of Sue's sisters. There was like another one of everyone one else." Leticia said. "I know there are two of Sue plus her younger sister."

Laura wondered where 'Sue's' sister was. It could be what the whole operation was about. She didn't even show up until the last night as it was.

"Maybe they were captured." Laura said. "They're probably going to spring them."

Mary knew none of it was fact. It was all speculation.

"You're getting ahead of yourself." Mary said.

Leticia spun some more intrigue and mystery into it.

"It's why Tony 'popped' Stephany." Leticia said. "They knew she was on a dangerous mission once the ship docked. Stephany didn't want a stranger to have her first. It was probably part of her training."

Laura swallowed hard. Her girlfriend's vibrator took her cherry, but a stranger took her virginity with an act of abuse in a park. She didn't want Stephany to have to deal with it. She was glad Stephany's first experience wasn't forced upon her. She didn't think any sexual experience should be forced on anyone. She wanted to do more.

"We have to help them." Laura said.

Leticia thought they should have weapons of some kind.

"Did they leave guns for us or anything?" Leticia asked.

Leticia looked around in the back seat.

Mary got out and checked the trunk. It was empty.

Laura and Leticia were there now too.

"At least there wasn't a dead body in there." Leticia said.

Somehow Mary could picture it. The cops would show up and they'd get busted for killing someone.

"It sounds really encouraging." Mary said sarcastically.

Leticia remembered how she saw 'Sue' manhandle the Crazy Bitch and Tracy. They were like rag dolls to 'Sue'.

"Sue is super strong." Leticia said. "I saw her pick two different females up off the ground by their neck with one hand while she choked them."

Laura wondered if they were genetically modified or enhanced females. Mary told her 'Sue' carried her back to their cabin from the elevator.

"I didn't really believe you before it was true." Laura said. "I might now."

Leticia could see the 'killer instinct' on Sue's face.

"I saw it." Leticia said. "She was going to mutilate them too. I could see she was going to do it."

Mary figured 'Sue' possessed some experience in mutilation.

"It means she's done it before." Mary said.

Leticia wondered if they would train her to do the same thing. She was up to it. There was more than one person she would've liked to have done it too, both male and female. She always treated them nice and some people were mean for no reason. Why did they need to slap her around? She'd done everything they'd asked, no matter what it was.

"Secret agents don't fool around." Leticia said. "Sometimes they need answers."

Laura thought about 'Sue's' offer to give her a 'trim'. Maybe she wouldn't just stop there. She said she was 'experienced'. Maybe she was in a different way. It was probably better not to find out.

The three girls got back in Mary's car.

"Where are we off to?" Mary asked.

Laura thought the answer was obvious.

"Where Sue wants us to go." Laura said.

Mary thought about it. The van was parked angled enough, just so she could see the name on the side of it. If it would have been headed straight in, she wouldn't have been able to view what it said from their position.

"I think you're right about them wanting to test us." Mary said.

Leticia wondered if their lives were on a time clock. If hers was, she was ready. Her love for 'Sue' was strong enough to die for. She was sure it would happen.

"We're all gonna die." Leticia said. "I'll tell both of you right now. If Sue gets in a jam, I'm going to help her."

Mary would have questioned what she said a half hour ago. It was no longer a half hour ago.

"I'd ask if you're insane, but I think we all are." Mary said.

Leticia loved 'Sue'. She would do anything for her. She believed the special girls would do the same thing.

"She'd come for me." Leticia said. "They'd come for any of us."

Now Laura couldn't help but think about what could be done to them. They would be mutilated, abused and killed.

"Let's hope it doesn't go quite so far." Laura said.

Mary looked up the address of the florist shop on her phone. She headed in the direction of it. She wasn't sure they were actually supposed to get involved. Maybe it was more of a training exercise.

"I think we're just supposed to watch this time." Mary said.

Laura was curious to see exactly what was going to happen.

"Let's do it." Laura said.

Leticia was sure things weren't going to end well for someone. She just hoped it wasn't them.

"We're all gonna die." Leticia said again. "I'm in. Besides, how long do you want to live anyway?"

It was a question Leticia had asked herself on many different occasions. She really didn't have an answer. She hoped it wouldn't be too soon. Maybe when she was old, it wouldn't be so bad to hang it up. Right now she was vibrant and full of life. She wanted to enjoy it as much as she could. She thought she'd actually enjoyed more than most.

She looked at Mary and Laura as they drove. If 'Sue' needed her assistance, she was going to render it. Mary and Laura didn't have to help. It was a personal decision on her part. It was something she felt very strongly about.

The B-25 was about to pass over Fresno.

Young Jesse couldn't help but think Fresno looked like a moderate sized city in the absolute middle of nowhere. She knew there were a lot of places in the States which were the same way. Two other examples which she read about were Las Vegas and Phoenix. She really wondered why people would want to live in the middle of nowhere, even if it was a city. To her it would be like living out in the Outback.

Savannah gave Cameron a firm hug and another kiss on the cheek.

Cameron felt as content as if she'd been with John without the 'captain's little helper'. The medicine upped his game quite a bit. She hoped Claire followed her advice for the second round. She was sure she would go back for more. Jesse would too. She didn't have a problem with it. She wanted John protected. It was her primary function. It wasn't her function to become his wife. She believed she'd actually stifled his personal development.

It was one of the reasons why she didn't terminate Future Riley either. She knew how lonely Future John was before she'd arrived. She didn't like the way John rubbed her face in it with Future Riley. She wanted him to develop his personal life for his own benefit. If Claire wanted to move in with him, she would allow it. It applied to any of the girls. Jesse, Vanna and Allison were all free to become his partner most of the time. It would give her more time to conduct Resistance operations and not feel guilty about leaving John alone. It would be good for one of the human girls to actually be there at night for him. It was incredibly boring for her to lie next to him and hear him snore.

She looked over at Savannah. She wasn't going to force Savannah to step up. In fact, she wasn't sure if she wanted her to step up at all anymore. She wanted Savannah's love. She'd never seen love as strong from anyone before as Savannah's love was for her. So far they'd never actually done anything sexual. It was a much deeper love. Savannah never gave up on her, and she always believed in her. She didn't want to push Young Allison either. She knew Savannah and Young Allison were destined to be with each other. She hoped to be able to share a little of their time.

Savannah thought she'd been able to prevent Cameron from having an 'episode'. Maybe Cameron prevented her from having one. Either way, life went on. Life moved forward not backward. She went through the short tunnel from the nose into the area behind the cockpit.

Cameron followed her out. She really liked the view of being behind Savannah. She was the perfect shape.

Anna took one more look around from up in the top turret. It was clear around them.

She dropped back down and touched Young Allison's arm

Young Allison looked at Cameron and Savannah. She unstrapped and followed Anna over the crawlway over the bomb bay.

There was nothing to say.

As soon as she was on top of the bomb bay she felt someone touch her ankle and gently stop her.

Young Allison turned back.

"Your place is next to Savannah." Cameron said.

Cameron's offer and statement filled Young Allison with a lot of feelings. She also understood sacrifice was the true test of love. Cameron was willing to sacrifice. So was she.

"Not today." Young Allison said. "Savannah's place is next to you."

Cameron smiled.

"Thank you." Cameron said.

Young Allison continued her journey over the bomb bay into the aft fuselage.

Anna noted the giant smile on Young Allison's face.

"You look really happy." Anna said.

Anna and Young Allison strapped in at the waist gun positions.

"I am." Young Allison said. "I understand now. We're all the same."

Anna knew what she referred to.

"Just don't forget me." Anna said.

Young Allison smiled and kissed Anna on the cheek.

"I haven't and I won't." Young Allison said. "It's a promise."

Young Allison also knew Anna wasn't part of the 'Natural Order'.

Camille checked the wind speed and the direction. It was almost zero. It was a calm, clear day.

Camille looked at Savannah.

"Do you want my position?" Camille asked.

Cameron touched Savannah's inner thigh high up.

"Savannah is my copilot." Cameron said. "You land it once with Young Jesse on the controls with you. She can take off and do a few 'touch and go' procedures before she lands."

Camille nodded. She felt Young Jesse was more than ready.

Cameron looked at Savannah and smiled.

It was clear she'd just laid claim to Savannah.

Young Jesse heard everything. She looked back at Cameron and Savannah. They were lost in each other's eyes right now. They were clearly in love. She looked over at Camille and shrugged.

"It looks like we will all get to try a new cockpit today." Young Jesse said.

Camille tilted her head slightly. She quickly understood the reference.

"Apparently…." Camille said.

Young Jesse overflew the Madera airport once.

"It's a cute little place." Young Jesse said.

Camille played on Young Jesse's earlier statement.

"I know a few places like that." Camille said.

Young Jesse laughed.

"I do too." Young Jesse said.

Camille tightened her belts.

Young Jesse did as well.

"You got it?" Young Jesse asked.

Camille glanced over.

"I got it." Camille said. "Stay on the controls with me and tell me everything I need to do. You can do everything on your side. Call it out."

Young Jesse wanted to make sure she didn't make a mistake. She didn't think she would. She wanted to cover all the bases anyway.

"If I forget anything, tell me and fix it right away." Young Jesse said. "We have some precious cargo onboard."

Camille looked at Savannah and Cameron. It was clear they needed a room.

"Yes we do." Camille said. "Yes we do."

From the drone footage, Lena and Tina watched as the six bikers closed in on the Gray. The bikers approached the Gray in the same way as they'd done the female Fanatic. The first two pulled into the oncoming lane and passed him by. They moved in front of him. The second two moved into the oncoming lane and took some time to look him over. They pulled ahead and followed behind the first two. The third two did the same thing. They looked him over, and moved in front of him. All six bikers accelerated away from the Gray.

"I think they're a scouting force." Lena said.

Tina didn't think it mattered too much.

"They're future Scavengers if they live." Tina said.

Lena knew the bikers would be up to them in a short time.

"Depending upon what they do when they reach us, they may not live." Lena said.

Both of the female Terminators checked their weapons. They figured it was probably the same thing the female Fanatic did earlier. It wasn't long before the bikers were a few hundred feet behind them.

Temporal Mission:

Past Timeline:

November 22 1963

XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Cameron wanted to get Young Allison to one of the pre-arranged safe houses. She really wanted to get to California.

She also needed to get to the bank in Los Angeles so she could see herself there in 1963. It was when the TDE in the bank vault was constructed. She wanted to ask herself if Future John and her were intimate. She wanted to know if those were some of the files which were erased before she was sent into the past the next time. She wasn't really sure she wanted to know the answer anymore. There was a good chance her other self would see her as a threat. She might try to terminate her. She didn't have any record of her contacting herself so she must not do it.

Snap. Snap. Snap.

Cameron blinked her eyes.

Young Allison lowered her hand.

"You're not going to turn into 'Future Allison' on me are you?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron needed to collect her thoughts. She didn't want to think about the past, even if it was still in the future. She understood what it was like to go back to the future. She'd done it on more than one occasion.

"I think we could have a really good time if I did." Cameron said.

Young Allison giggled.

"Maybe we would." Young Allison said. "It's not going to be today though."

Cameron wanted to get out of the Dallas area. She was aware there were a few roadblocks set up at various locations. They didn't have any identification with them.

Young Allison looked around as they walked.

"I don't think this is the best part of town." Young Allison said. "I really wish I had my Model 66 with me."

Cameron knew Young Allison was out of luck as far as a Model 66 went. It wouldn't be available for over half a decade.

"Maybe we can get our hands on a Model 19." Cameron said. "It'll only be blue steel or nickel plated."

Young Allison thought maybe they should do something to push the creation of stainless steel firearms a little sooner than they'd occurred. Then again, maybe they did. She thought she better not mention it to Cameron. She was pretty sure anything she told Cameron to change, she probably would.

It really made her wonder about what some of the things Cammy and Sheila did in the past. She was aware various stocks were purchased at different times by them. When they returned from their eight year adventure in the past, Cameron was the owner of billions more dollars.

"I don't think there's any need to push it." Young Allison said. "Right now we're just two females in Texas."

Cameron was aware at best, females were second class citizens in Texas, as well as most states in 1963. Things were a little more relaxed in California. It was where she wanted to go as soon as possible.

Two men stepped out in front of Young Allison and Cameron from a doorway in a building. Both of the men radiated a shabby appearance.

"Nice day for a walk." The first man said.

There was an evil leer on his face.

"We don't usually meet such fine looking ladies." The second man said. "I guess school got out early today."

Both of the men laughed.

Cameron immediately moved in front of Young Allison. She looked behind her quickly. She sprang forward and grabbed both of the men by their neck. She carried them back in through the doorway they'd come out of. She slammed their heads together and dropped their bodies to the floor.

Young Allison followed her in. She took a position just inside the doorway. She closed the door most of the way. She only left it open a crack. She watched the room and the street as Cameron acted.

There were two other men in the room. They both appeared to be semi incapacitated already. There were a series of bottles of various types of liquor around the room. One of the men had some surgical tubing tied around his upper arm. He held a hypodermic needle in his hand. He was about to inject a drug into his arm. It was most likely heroin.

Cameron punched both men hard in the chest. They both collapsed where they sat.

Young Allison glanced back.

"Did you kill any of them?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron quickly checked the four men over. It was very difficult for her not to use lethal force. All of them were still alive. She untied the surgical tubing from around the one man's arm. She remembered when John asked her a similar question before under different circumstances.

"Apparently not." Cameron said.

Young Allison could see a vehicle approaching.

"There's one car moving slowly down the street." Young Allison said. "It may pull over."

Cameron searched the men and began to search the room.

"The men appeared to be low level drug dealers." Cameron said. "Normally I would terminate them because they would become future Scavengers. Based upon where we are in the timeline, it won't be necessary this time. They'll all be dead before Judgment Day."

Young Allison could see the car pull over to the curb.

"The car is going to stop." Young Allison said. "It's right outside the door."

So far Cameron found seventy three dollars in cash and one firearm. It was a very beat up looking 1911-A1 Government Model. She checked the magazine. There were only five rounds in it. There were also several packages of a white powder. There were a number of smaller packets. She touched some of it and determined it was heroin.

Young Allison watched as two men got out of the car. One of them wore a suit and tie.

"I think we either have a 'well to do' customer, or one of their superiors." Young Allison said.

She watched as the man adjusted his coat. She could see he was carrying a firearm of some type in a shoulder holster. It briefly occurred to her it could be a detective as well. He didn't look like it though. He looked more like a thug.

Cameron quickly moved up to the door and looked out. She silently closed it all of the way.

"Go into the bathroom." Cameron said. "Take the 'junk' with you."

Young Allison moved away from Cameron. She went over to where the packets of heroin were. She quickly collected them and took them to the restroom. She flushed them down the toilet. She actually liked the way the toilet worked. It had a full five gallon tank of water. It wasn't like some of the newer toilets which only had a gallon or two at the most. A flush here took care of everything with one flush. It reminded her something newer, wasn't always better.

There was a knock at the door.

"Take it easy." Cameron said in the voice of the man she'd first heard. "I'll be there in a second."

She could hear the men grumbling outside.

"I want to make sure we score some 'horse'." The first man said.

Cameron open the door and moved behind it.

The man with the suit walked into the room followed by the other man. They both paused in their tracks when they spotted the other four men lying on the floor. It took a moment for their brains to process what was actually happening.

Cameron looked through the gap where the hinges were on the door. She didn't see anyone else outside. She slammed the door closed. Both of the men turned around and looked at her. She saw the man with the suit attempt to reach inside of it. He was too slow. She grabbed both of them and slammed their heads together. They both fell to the ground like rag dolls. She quickly searched both of them. The man with the suit carried a revolver. The other man carried a switchblade and some brass knuckles. She took all the weapons and relieved them of their cash. The man with the suit had several hundred dollars. The other man only had eleven dollars on him.

Young Allison came out of the bathroom.

"Let's take their car and go." Young Allison said.

One of the men near Young Allison began to stir. He started to lift his head. She turned in his direction and kicked him hard in the head. It dropped down like a rock.

Cameron handed Young Allison the revolver.

"You got what you wanted, almost." Cameron said. "It's a Model 19."

Young Allison opened the cylinder and checked the load. She pulled one of the rounds out and looked at it. It contained a lead projectile. She saw all six cartridges were marked as .38 Special. None of them were the more powerful .357 Magnum rounds the revolver was designed to take. She went back to the door and opened it a couple of inches to keep watch on the street.

Cameron wanted to terminate all six of the men. She needed to restrain herself from doing what she wanted to do. She tied them up instead. She put the Government Model in her purse.

Young Allison did the same with her Model 19.

"I guess we have 'ID' now in case anyone asks for it." Young Allison said. "The street is clear."

Cameron took one more look around the room.

"Let's go." Cameron said.

They exited the building and closed the door. They made sure it was locked.

Young Allison looked over the car. She could tell it was a Thunderbird.

"This is a nice T-bird." Young Allison said.

Cameron climbed in behind the wheel and started it. The car had a nice throaty roar to it.

Young Allison climbed into the passenger seat.

"Under different circumstances, we could have some fun, fun, fun in this thing." Young Allison said.

Cameron was aware Young Allison studied the events of the Sixties thoroughly. She'd done as well. She didn't want to change what already happened.

"You're going to have to wait three more months to hear the song." Cameron said. "It won't be recorded until January of 1964. It will be released the next month."

Cameron pulled away from the curb in the T-Bird. She wanted to put some distance between them and Dallas.

Knew Before We Did

There's no order to disorder
Life can't be laid out like a grid
Everyone wants to do things
What others have staunchly forbid

To hit the brakes in life
Will cause one to slide and skid
They can't see the peril
Until off the edge they've slid

Some like to hold back
They play it cold and frigid
Others go for broke
Everything they do is sordid

No one moves forward
If all they've done is hid
The pot will always boil faster
When it's covered by a lid

The future is quite ugly
The truth is always candid
Nothing remains a secret
When they knew before we did

Nobody
