Chapter 1506

I Aim To Please

Samantha was surprised to receive instructions over her com from CamNet. She made sure Precious was good and told Riley she needed to take care of a few things with Hanna.

Riley was with Hanna once years ago. It was her only encounter with a female Terminator sexually, until Samantha earlier in the day. She would love to repeat the earlier experience again with Hanna. Right now she was a little worried about what Samantha needed to do.

"Is it dangerous?" Riley asked.

Samantha didn't think so.

"I need to go to the airport." Samantha said. "I think we need to pick up Camille and Young Jesse."

Hanna arrived naked outside the door.

Samantha went out.

Riley got a good look at Hanna. What she remembered the most about their single encounter was how super pink everything was….

Kyle and Sarah return to their room with Jan.

Sarah hoped Kyle would ask her about what everyone noticed in the commissary. It was Samantha's new rings.

Jan went to her room and collected some books and some artwork.

"I'm going to go hang out with Summer for a little bit." Jan said.

Jan opened the door and went out. The door closed behind her.

Sarah looked at Kyle. She pulled her top tighter to make her breasts more prominent.

"Well, it looks like we're all alone now." Sarah said.

Kyle looked at the closed door Jan just went out of.

"I guess we are." Kyle said.

Kyle noticed she hadn't worn her bra earlier.

Sarah stripped off her top. She hoped Kyle would say something about the rings now since he could see her exposed breasts. She decided to push the issue a little bit. She wanted to start out subtly.

"I guess I don't look as Hot as Samantha did." Sarah said. "Her rings really made a statement."

Kyle felt a sudden 'surge' in his 'private area'. The reminder was enough to stimulate him. He looked at Sarah's topless figure.

"I think you'd look as Hot as Samantha did with a set." Kyle said.

Sarah touched herself. She wanted a more definitive statement.

"Do you think so?" Sarah asked.

Kyle smiled as he reached out and touched her. It was an idea which came up from time to time over the years. It never seemed to go anywhere.

"I do." Kyle said. "I know we've talked about it before. It's your choice. I'm fine with your decision."

Sarah wanted to do it.

"I could try one and see how it goes." Sarah said.

Kyle laughed. He really didn't think it would happen.

"You're funny." Kyle said.

Sarah hoped for something a little more concrete.

"That's me, funny Sarah." Sarah said.

Kyle knew Sarah wanted to be with one of the females. He wasn't sure which one it was. He wanted her to find some happiness and joy in her life. He didn't have a clue she'd already been with Claire, Riley, Jesse, Young Jesse and Samantha. It all happened in the last few days. He didn't really know if Sarah could still expand herself or not. He didn't think it would hurt anything for her to try. The only qualifier he wanted to remind her of was himself.

"You're free to try what you want…." Kyle said. "Just don't forget me."

Sarah almost felt guilty for a fraction of a second. She was very pleased at what she'd done. It didn't hurt anything. She quickly kicked off her shoes. She slipped off her pants and underwear. Right now she wanted a little more. No, she needed a little more.

"Why don't you refresh my memory right now?" Sarah asked. "If you do, I can't forget."

Kyle stripped with Sarah's help. He planned to do what she wanted. It was what he wanted as well. He also fantasized about her earlier proposal…. He planned to bring it up right as Sarah was about to finish. He'd bet it would increase the intensity for her. He was pretty sure it would for him as well.

John was on his way to the Command Center. He was surprised to find Vanna waiting for him.

"Can we talk for a little while?" Vanna asked.

John looked towards the Command Center and then back at Vanna. The last time he'd checked, Cameron wasn't going to be back for a few more hours at the earliest. He smiled at Vanna.

"I have some free time right now." John said.

Vanna took John's arm and led him to his room.

John wasn't sure what was up, but he thought he knew. When they reached his room he opened the door for Vanna to enter.

Vanna wasn't sure what she was about to do or why. It was just something she felt compelled to do. She was pleased John opened the door for her. She hesitated. She wanted a little more. She wanted to feel special.

John saw Vanna was hesitant to go into his room. He looked around and then he picked her up in his arms. He was pleased to see the smile appear on her face and she put her arm around him.

"It's what I wanted." Vanna whispered in his ear. "I want to be special."

John carried her through the open door.

Vanna leaned over some and pushed it closed behind them.

John didn't want to seem presumptuous or pushy. He wanted Vanna to tell him what it was she actually wanted.

"Do you want to go to the couch or to the other room?" John asked.

The 'other room' was the bedroom.

Vanna knew what she wanted, but she didn't want to say it.

"I want to go where you take me." Vanna said. "I want to feel special."

John looked at the couch and then at the look of love in Vanna's eyes. He smiled at her and carried her to the bedroom. He could see the serious look on her face and feel the love of her heart. She moistened her lips lightly.

He went to set her on her feet next to the bed. They were both still fully clothed.

Vanna felt very excited.

"Lay me on the bed." Vanna said and then giggled. "I mean set me on the bed."

John carefully laid her down on the bed. They were both still dressed.

Vanna moved over and patted the cover. There was plenty of room for John now.

"Will you join me?" Vanna asked.

John noticed Vanna must have kicked her shoes off before he set her down. He did the same. He lay down next to her. He wasn't really sure where this was going or even what would happen at this point.

Vanna was glad they'd gotten the initial 'interaction' out of the way on the ship. It made everything a little less anxious now.

"Hold me." Vanna said. "I want to start out slow. We've already shared a few times so there's no need to hurry this time. We know what everyone's got."

John already knew what she did 'have' before their first encounter. When Cameron borrowed Hanna's chassis, he saw it all. He knew exactly what both Vanna and Savannah looked like everywhere. The real difference was in Vanna's response to him. It was much more intense than it was with Cameron in control of Hanna's chassis.

They talked and they kissed for a while. They started to remove each other's clothing a piece at a time every now and then. They were both down to their underwear.

Vanna wanted to be 'loved'. She wanted her time to be more than sex with John. She wanted to feel his love for her and share hers with him.

John was very excited by this point. Vanna was beautiful. It was very exciting to slowly work up to their union. He really hoped there would be one. He was good if there wasn't. He wanted Vanna to be comfortable with herself, more than with him. He was aware of the past weighed heavily on her.

They shared a long slow kiss as John touched her almost nude body.

"Take me." Vanna whispered in his ear.

John slid off her underwear. He worked his way down from her beautiful face. He really liked what he saw before he moved in to pleasure her. He could tell she was 'ready' right now, but he continued what he was about to do anyway. It excited both of them even more.

It was what Vanna wanted. She wanted to be wanted. She wanted to be treated like she was special. John made her feel like it. She really thought she'd never be able to be with a man by choice. What they did right now was her choice all the way. John treated her with the respect and dignity she wanted. She didn't feel the obligation or pressure Cameron exerted on her before. She was pleased he was the first one to truly 'have' her. There were many others who'd taken her. John was the first one she'd given herself to.

Their current encounter reaffirmed her choice. He was in no hurry to 'use' her and be done with her. He'd always gone the extra mile for her. They'd only been together a few times and this was like the first time again. She really understood now why Cameron always 'relived' her wedding night.

John could tell Vanna wanted to be loved, slow and sweet. It was like their first time again, but she wasn't as tense. He'd been really worried on their first encounter. He didn't want to make her relive any 'bad experiences'. She 'took' him the first time. He could tell it was something she needed to do. She needed to be the one in control for once, and she was. Now she wanted him to 'take' her.

Vanna was pleased at how John 'worked' on her. She was right at the edge now. It looked like he was going to take her over the top before he got started himself. He did and stayed with it a little longer and she made it again. John slid up next to her and they kissed. It always excited her to experience herself in a kiss.

They shared a long look.

John wanted to make sure it was what she wanted.

"Please…." Vanna whispered.

He carefully moved on top of her. He felt like he was going to melt in her arms. He tried to keep his weight off of her as much as possible. She sucked in her breath slightly as he made his move. She was very excited and stimulated already. He was surprised she made it again even before he started to move. When he did move. It was slow and tender. Everything was gentle and smooth.

John could feel how different and special this time was. He wasn't sure what she wanted. It was to be loved. It was to share loving touches. He'd experienced the same thing with Jesse and Claire so far. It was more than sex with Allison and Young Jesse too. They weren't experienced with a male. He looked forward to this same experience when he was with them again. They would be ready for more the next time too.

There was one thing he knew for sure. Cameron was the best in bed for sexual pleasure. The human girls could reach him on a deeper level. They could offer him more than Cameron could emotionally. It was what she'd tried to tell him for so many years. She knew what Future John needed to function to his fullest. This was what Future John wanted for him too. It was part of Cameron's function to make it happen. It looked like her mission was almost complete. Savannah and Young Allison were ripe for the picking. At least Savannah was ripe. It was 'Savannah' in his arms right now, even if it was Vanna.

Those thoughts flashed through his mind in an instant. He refocused back on Vanna. They kissed and held the kiss as he brought Vanna to heaven one more time.

"Finish…." Vanna gasped as she tried to hold the kiss.

It was all he needed to hear to send him over the top.

Vanna held him firmly in place with her arms.

It dawned on him it wasn't just Young Jesse who wanted to get pregnant. It was all of them! They all wanted to create a child out of love…. It was something special in its own way. Maybe it was what Vanna tried to tell him about feeling special.

Young Jesse piloted the B-25 back towards Castle. They'd flown around the entire peninsula San Francisco was located on. They'd overflown all the bridges and landmarks around the Bay Area.

In the aft fuselage, Cameron held Savannah in her arms as she sat on her lap. She'd made up her mind that she wanted to be with Savannah. She wanted it to be today. Savannah told her it wasn't the right time with Young Jesse and Young Allison with them. Savannah wanted to be alone with her.

Joe moved out of the nose and turned it over to Ted once they'd passed the USS Hornet docked at Alameda. Anna let him look out of the top turret when he didn't look out the windows past the pilots.

They were back to Castle in no time.

Young Jesse lined up with the runway at Castle after she'd received clearance from the tower. It was a really long runway. She set it down smoothly and taxied back to where the small electric truck was parked.

Camille called up from the tail gun position and asked them to shut it down. They needed to wait a little bit at Castle. She didn't elaborate why. They figured they would find out soon enough.

Young Jesse and Young Allison shut the Mitchell down. Everyone exited the plane. The girls looked the plane over to make sure everything was fine. It was.

Joe and Ted expressed their appreciation.

"I don't think anyone is going to believe this." Joe said.

Cameron didn't want any problems.

"Maybe it's best to just keep the details to yourselves." Cameron said. "This was just to show our appreciation to both of you personally. We thought it would be a little more meaningful than just a monetary tip."

Ted couldn't think of a better flight possible.

"It was the best flight I've ever been on. Both of those girls are excellent pilots." Ted said.

Ted took out his phone.

Savannah thought he was about to take a photo. She wanted to let him know there were a few restrictions.

"You can only photograph the plane." Savannah said.

Ted wanted to reassure her. It was an innocent gesture.

"I was just going to call home and tell them I'd be there in thirty minutes." Ted said. "I'd like to photograph the plane though if I could."

Joe and Ted both took a photo of the B-25, and one of each other standing in front of it. Savannah took one of both of them together with each of their phones.

"I noticed there is no 'name' on it yet." Joe said.

Young Allison glanced over at Savannah. She thought of the earlier time she'd originally named 'Colton Overcast' as 'Pink Butterfly'. Savannah objected for 'personal reasons'. She didn't think it would hurt to throw the name out there again.

"I thought about the name 'Pink Butterfly'." Young Allison said.

Young Jesse giggled. She knew what Young Allison meant. She pictured the outline of hourglass female figures lined up like bombing missions alongside of the name.

Young Allison pictured a detailed image of what she'd referred to.

Joe and Ted looked at each other but didn't comment. They did steal a couple of extra glances at Savannah and Anna.

The awkward silence was disturbed by the ever nearing sound of a high performance piston engine running at full throttle.

Joe looked back towards the runway.

"It's a P-51 Mustang." Joe said. "I'd recognize the sound of a Merlin anywhere."

In seconds, a P-51 overflew the runway at about four hundred miles an hour as it came out of a shallow dive.

Ted and Joe watched it streak down the runway.

"That was fast." Joe said.

Savannah recognized it as Cameron's TF-51. It was the 'two place' modified P-51 Mustang.

Leticia was still really thrilled 'Sue' told her what her name really was. She thought Sheila was a beautiful name.

Cammy and Ally didn't think it was a good idea for Sheila to do it. They realized it didn't really matter. None of them had last names anyway. It wasn't like they were real people, even if they were real.

It gave Cammy some pause. What would her last name be if she had one? Would it be 'Young' since she shared Allison's DNA? Should it be 'Weaver' since she was 'associated' with Savannah? Should it be 'Phillips' since it was the last name Cameron used in New Mexico? Maybe it should be 'Connor' since Cameron allowed John to break her chassis in….

Mary and Laura swam a few more laps. They wanted some more of their Tiki drinks. Leticia cautioned them about drinking too much and swimming.

After what happened at the beach, maybe they all needed a few tall stiff drinks.

Sheila worked on Leticia for about ten minutes underwater. She was able to send her to 'heaven' a few times.

Sheila pushed herself up from the bottom of the pool and held onto the side next to Leticia.

Leticia looked at her with a big smile on her face. She felt very content.

"It was wonderful." Leticia said.

Sheila smiled at her. She could make any female 'finish'. She would like to get a hold of some of the forty percent of females who were unable to experience a finish. She was willing to bet she could get all of them over the top. She wouldn't stop until she did.

"I aim to please and I always deliver." Sheila said. "Where do you want to go next?"

Leticia could see maybe the pool wasn't the best place for Sheila. She wasn't sure how long Sheila was underwater since time sort of stopped for her as Sheila pleasured her. She knew it was a long time. It was longer than a human could be underwater and not need to breathe. It seemed to be another point Sheila made to indicate exactly what she actually was.

"We can go to the gym or the spa." Leticia said.

The Metal girls weren't big on getting a massage but since the masseuse would be a female, what could it hurt? Sheila was game for another female to touch her.

"We can do it." Sheila said.

Ally was still a little concerned at how far she'd almost gone with the lifeguard. She knew if there hadn't been the interruption with the shark, she would have gone all the way. She thought it should bother her more but it didn't. It was probably because of their involvement with Mary, Laura and Leticia. Once someone started adding new people in, it didn't really matter how many there were…. What did one more hurt?

Cammy was worried the girls might drink too much. Mary and Laura seemed like they could drink quite a bit of alcohol. Leticia did too, but she was apparently unphased by it.

Mary and Laura swam over to Cammy and Ally. They left Leticia and Sheila by the side of the pool in the deep end.

"Leticia came up with a good suggestion." Mary said. "That's if the spa is still open."

Laura looked around for her drink which was by the side of the pool earlier.

"It sounds good." Laura said. "Where's my drink?"

Cammy and Ally didn't want the human girls to overdo it and get drunk. If they were drunk, they wouldn't want to be as 'active' in bed later on. They might be sleepy or even get 'sick' if they drank too much. She wanted them available for any type of action. She still hoped to get them into John's bed. She wanted to 'punish' Cameron for taking Savannah away from her. She indicated to them clearly what actually occurred.

"The attendant took them away." Cammy said. "I asked her too."

Mary and Laura looked at each other. They knew 'Barbara' was the leader of the 'special girls'. They hoped they hadn't offended her. They might have gotten a little carried away. They knew the 'special girls' hadn't touched a drop. Maybe it was because they needed to remain alert all of the time, or maybe it was because they 'were' whatever they 'were'. Did robots drink? There was at least one animated TV series where one did.

"It's fine." Mary said. "We've probably overdone it a little. I want to apologize for it if we did."

The Metal girls knew alcohol was bad for the human body. It killed brain cells to boot. It could also cause birth defects if an expectant mother drank during a pregnancy.

"It's fine." Cammy said. "We can go to the gym and spa for a little bit."

The girls used the outdoor shower and playfully washed each other off before they went inside.

There were only two masseuses available.

Laura wanted to seem accommodating. She sensed Mary's earlier trepidation.

"Two of you can go first." Laura said. "I might not want to ever stop once someone starts to massage me. I haven't had one in years."

Sheila smiled. She thought things could get very specific.

"It would depend on what was being massaged." Sheila said.

The girls all laughed.

Leticia wondered about it.

"Do they do that here?" Leticia asked. "Is it an option?"

Sheila went over to Leticia and squeezed her breasts from behind.

"That's what I'm for, love." Sheila said.

Leticia looked at Sheila. She knew Sheila could always deliver.

"I didn't mean for myself, but I was just curious." Leticia said.

Cammy wanted to make things clear.

"Given enough time, we can make just about anything happen." Cammy said. "These cute girls are professionals. The rooms are private, but everyone should use good judgment. You girls can go first."

Leticia wanted to go when Sheila did.

"I'll go when She…Sue does." Leticia said.

She'd almost said 'Sheila'.

Mary and Laura went into the two rooms with the masseuses.

They were asked if they wanted another drink but they both declined.

Cammy and Ally looked at some of the exercise equipment.

"How fast can we make one of these treadmills go?" Ally asked.

Cammy started one and watched it for a few seconds.

"If I open the control box, I can increase the speed up to twenty miles an hour." Cammy said. "It will take a little programming and overriding the device's safety equipment."

At the mention of defeating the safety measures, Ally decided it might not be a good idea.

"It was just a thought." Ally said. "We don't need to show off."

Cammy figured the human girls knew they were superior in almost every regard. The pool and ocean showed some of their limitations. She spotted Sheila and Leticia over by some of the weight lifting equipment.

"We might not need to show off too much, but Sheila is about to do so." Cammy said.

Ally watched Leticia try the bench press on the static weight machine.

"Oh, brother, I hope Sheila doesn't break it when it's her turn." Ally said.

Cammy hoped Ally referred to the weight machine and not Leticia.

CamNet directed her Terminator to continue the loose pursuit. The hope was the limousine would lead them to someone else higher on the food chain.

The limousine took evasive action several times to make sure they weren't being tailed. It was clear they didn't understand the nature of the attack which occurred. How could they? It was a drone attack from twenty five thousand feet. The projectiles arrived at terminal velocity. There was no sound associated with them at all. There was only the metallic noise of them striking metal or pavement, which sounded like 'metal hail'.

The Terminator closed up the distance on a parallel route. At one point he needed to pull over to the curb when the limousine cut up a street right in front of him. He waited for it to pass and then continued on the same street he was on. He made a turn and continued to parallel it.

The man, who'd originally held the door for the other individual when they'd left a nightclub, got out at a signal. He hurried between traffic and disappeared down an alley. The limousine drove off without him.

The first drone stayed with the limousine.

The drone which remained at the burning location moved away and picked up the fleeing man.

The man moved through the alley. He held his phone in his hand and tried to use it. It didn't function. He was a little disturbed when the image of a skull and crossbones appeared on the screen. It caused him to stumble and trip. He sprawled on the ground and his phone slid away from him.

The Terminator closed in on the target, the fleeing man.

He quickly got up to his feet and picked up his phone. It was broken. He continued on his way. When he got to the next cross street, he made a right hand turn and continued down for a block. He entered another alley and moved up in back of another building. It was a bar.

The drone image zoomed in on the man. He knocked twice on the door, paused for a few seconds, and knocked twice more. Nothing happened. The man continued to look nervously around him. He pounded with the heel of his fist twice, paused for a few seconds, and then pounded twice more. The rear door opened and he entered.

The Terminator parked at the end of the alley. He made his way on foot to the rear of the building. He knocked twice on the door, paused for a few seconds, and knocked twice more.

The rear door opened.

He entered with his silenced M9 in his up and ready. He shot the man who opened the door and moved into the building. He could hear some voices off to the side. He headed in the direction. He spotted the man who'd entered the building before him. He was talking to two other men. He shot all three of them. He continued through the building and found two other men. Both of them were terminated as well.

He smashed open dozens bottles of alcohol. He ripped the gas lines from the appliances. He made his way back out to the door he'd entered from. He made sure it was locked and closed it. He headed back to his vehicle to continue the pursuit of the limousine. It was now stuck in traffic. It hadn't gone very far since he made his excursion. It was because of 'traffic management' by CamNet.

He quickly moved up to within a block of the slow moving limousine. It appeared it was going to go onto the freeway. No one else had gotten out of the vehicle or gotten into it.

The Terminator continued to watch the drone images of the limousine and the building he'd left. He waited for the drone to deliver another gravity shot on the location.

Cameron and Young Allison approached the Munch Box. They could hear the sound of an air horn in the distance. It was to the south and east. They hurried across the railroad tracks. Two tracks crossed the street and then went to a single track just north of it. There was a block signal located there. The direction to go north, which was 'railroad west', was currently red.

On the south side of the street, the two tracks expanded to a total of five tracks for small yard type area. The tracks could be used for storage, or for other trains which needed to wait.

Young Allison noticed a group of angular flat top concrete piers.

"What are those concrete pieces from?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron looked at them for a moment

"They used to support a water tower." Cameron said. "The water tower is gone. Most of the steam locomotives disappeared from the Southern Pacific by 1956. The water towers came down soon afterwards. There were a few exceptions, but not very many."

Cameron looked south down the railroad tracks. In the light of the moon, she could spot a lone palm tree on the west side of the tracks.

"It's hard to make out in the dark, but where the palm tree is at, is where the Chatsworth station was located." Cameron said. "It was the second station built in Chatsworth. When they extended the line through the hills to the west, they built a new station so it would be on the mainline. The Montalvo cut off eliminated the need for Santa Barbara bound trains to take the Central Valley route to Saugus, and then along the Santa Clarita River route towards Oxnard. The other station was at the end of the original line to Chatsworth Park, the name was later shortened to Chatsworth. When the cut off was constructed, the original line became known as the branch line. In later times it was known as the Burbank Branch."

Young Allison was aware there were a number of movies shot in the Chatsworth area up through the mid Sixties. Most of them were Westerns. Some were Science Fiction related. She hoped to be able to see some of the filming occur on some of the TV shows at the time. She was aware of two of the features right where they were at in two different movies.

"When I did my research on the area, I came across two distinct features in movies." Young Allison said. "In one of them, Buster Keaton was seen on the water tower here in Chatsworth. The concrete piers would have been below it at that time to support the legs. The other movie was, Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, the original one. The Chatsworth station served as the station in the movie with a different name. I think it was Santa Mira."

Cameron was aware the station was only torn down about a year ago. It was a shame. What generally happened was when a station, or any railroad building or structure, was no longer in regular use, it was demolished. The railroad needed to pay taxes on all of the 'improvements' on its land. If something wasn't used, it was cheaper to get rid of it. The stations which did survive, usually suffered a more indignant fate. Almost all of them ended up burning. Hobos, bums, and other vagrants would break into them to sleep. When it got cold, they would build a fire. A fire, on the wood floor of a wood building, was normally the recipe for disaster. More than one of the stations succumbed to the same fate.

"We would have been able to see the station a couple of years ago." Cameron said. "When Metrolink was established later on, a 'railroad station type' structure was built on the east side of the tracks. The track arrangement was redone here. Only the two main tracks here remained. The second track, closest to where we're standing right now, was extended to a few hundred feet away from Tunnel 26. The other end was extended past the Burbank Branch all the way to De Soto Avenue. Needless to say, all of the streets were widened from the one lane in each direction they originally were for decades."

They could see the oscillating light from the locomotive as it came around the bend to the south. As the locomotive made the turn, the headlights shined brightly down the tracks as the oscillating headlight orbited from side to side. They could hear the locomotive blow its air horn as it neared Lassen Street. It was the next street to the south. The standard warning signal for all street crossings was two long blasts, a short blast, and a single long blast as the train went over the intersection. They were on Devonshire Street. They moved back away from the tracks a little bit so they didn't cause the engineer any anxiety as to why they were standing so close to the tracks. The Munch Box was only a couple of hundred feet in back of them to the west.

Cameron thought the locomotive was going to stop. She quickly realized it was actually on the long siding to the west of the main line. It was probably going to take the 'hole' and another train was going to pass it. It most likely would come from the opposite direction. Usually the only trains which passed another train going in the same direction were passenger trains. All of the passenger trains had priority.

They watched as the train slowly came to a stop just before the intersection.

"Do you want to go up and talk to the head and crew?" Cameron asked.

Young Allison liked the idea but didn't want to be a bother. Maybe if it was daylight it would be a little bit better for them to do it.

"I think we can do it some other time." Young Allison said. "In the daylight they would better be able to see our faces."

Cameron smiled at the implication Young Allison made. She'd told every Allison their face alone, with a smile, would open any door. It was something she'd learned rather quickly. It allowed her to move right up to a 'target', or a 'mark', before they realized the danger they were in. Before they could act, she would have snapped their neck.

"Always remember your face is your biggest asset without having to do anything." Cameron said.

Off to the west in back of them, they heard another air horn. There was a train coming down hill from behind them. It probably exited Tunnel 28 or Tunnel 27. They were further up the hill side past the main grade. The three tunnels in the Chatsworth area were numbered after Tunnel 25 in the Newhall area. The train needed to traverse through three tunnels before it reached the flat land of the valley floor.

Since the freight train was stopped to the south of Devonshire, they moved back up to the crossing. It wasn't long before they saw the same thing from the north as they had from the south. They could see the oscillating headlight first and then they headlight itself as the locomotive came around the corner from the west and headed south. It had just exited Tunnel 26. It was the shortest of the three. In a few more moments, they heard the air horn give off the four characteristic blasts for a crossing. It just crossed over Chatsworth Street. Cameron calculated the speed. The train was moving at track speed.

"Let's take a few steps back." Cameron said. "The train will pass by this location rapidly."

Young Allison wasn't sure if she would be able to identify the locomotives in the dark. She studied up on everything related to the time period.

As the train neared the intersection, she could see the locomotive on the point was an F Unit. It was most likely in F7A. The one behind it was a hood unit. The one behind it was also a hood unit. Most likely they would be GP-9 units. The F unit was still painted in the original 'Black Widow' colors. They consisted of a Black body, a Daylight Red frame stripe, with a silver front end. It was accented with two horizontal Daylight Orange stripes on it. Many of the F units would live out their careers in their original livery. They would all be gone in just over a decade.

The two hood units were both painted in the gray and scarlet scheme. It would be the standard Southern Pacific paint scheme until it was merged into the Union Pacific in 1996. The gray and red locomotives would still exist for another twenty years afterwards. They were all gone now except the few in museums.

The train which passed by was a combination of box cars with a group of trailers on flat cars at the end of it. It was before the era of containers. She spotted something on the rear of it which didn't exist in her time, except in museums. It was a caboose. She knew it was a caboose type used by very few railroads. It was a 'bay window' caboose. It didn't have the normal cupola on top of it as did the majority of them in use by other railroads. Most of them had their own distinct type of caboose. The angled front and rear of the bay window was painted Daylight Orange, as were both ends of the caboose.

A few minutes after the train passed by, they watched the block signal on the north side of Devonshire turn from red to green. They could hear the throaty roar of the normally aspirated locomotives rev up as they started out. It was usually accompanied with a small cloud of gray smoke. It wasn't as bad as it would be in a few years when turbocharged units ruled the main line. There was a delay in time, called 'turbo lag', from when additional fuel was injected into the cylinders and the turbocharger caught up to the increasing speed of the engine. It always produced a large cloud of black smoke. It was especially so on the four cycle units manufactured by ALCO. The locomotives built by General Motors, a few years from now, would also exhibit the same level of smoke. The EMD units were powered by a two cycle engine. They always smoked less than the other manufacturers' locomotives did, even when they began to be turbocharged. EMD was slow to join the other manufacturers in using turbochargers.

They watched as the locomotives headed down the side track towards them.

It didn't look to Young Allison if as if the train was going to stop. If anything, it appeared to be gaining speed as it approached them.

"Will someone need to throw the switch?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron already observed the construction of the switch when they'd first arrived.

"Do you see the diamond placard on the switch stand with an 'S' on it?" Cameron asked. "It's a 'spring switch'. It's designed to allow the wheels to pass through it, in one direction only, without needing to be thrown. It will spring open for each set of wheels as they pass."

Young Allison was able to get a better look at the locomotives as they crossed over the intersection. As soon as the lead locomotive passed the block signal, it turned from green to red. It was to warn any locomotives behind them, the block they'd just entered was now currently occupied. She could see they were all GP9 units. Three of them were painted in the gray and scarlet scheme. Only one of them was still its original 'Black Widow' colors.

"I can see those are all GP9 units." Young Allison said.

The train picked up speed as it continued through the spring switch. The caboose was soon in sight. One of the crewmen stood on the rear platform as it passed by. They waved at him. He waved back.

"He's probably there to make sure the 'spring switch' is realigned for the main line once they pass." Cameron said. "If it wasn't, he would need to radio the head end and have the engineer stop. He would have to go back and align it manually. They would also probably need to have a maintenance of way crew stop by tomorrow and take a look at it."

The girls headed to the Munch box.

There were only a few cars waiting for the train to pass. They quickly moved on.

Young Allison took a five dollar bill from Cameron. She ordered a root beer float, with an extra scoop of ice cream, a cheeseburger, and an order of chili fries.

They would sit on the red stools, which were located around the outside of the small building. She'd been there previously in her time period. There were other buildings all around the location later on. Right now there wasn't much to the south of them. There would be a strip mall built there and the Chatsworth Post Office would be built next to it. On both sides of the street going to the west were a multitude of buildings. Those would survive through time and still be there later on. The majority of them went through a series of different owners and businesses.

A few minutes later, the order of food was ready.

Young Allison really liked the frosty glass mug the root beer float came in. She handed it to Cameron.

"I know you want to try a taste of the ice cream." Young Allison said.

Cameron would try a small taste of everything and add it to her database.

"It's my favorite." Cameron said.

Cameron was aware the majority of humans all thought ice cream was 'good'. She liked to try what was supposed to be 'good', as opposed to what would be 'bad'. She tried a taste of the hamburger and the chili fries. Everything she tasted set off 'warnings' in her HUD. The hamburger and fries set off excessive fat warnings. The root beer and the ice cream set off excessive sugar warnings. Her experience indicated the more warnings there were, the more the humans liked what they consumed.

Her experience with humans eating habits seem to indicate the more fats and sugars they consumed, the more fat they put on their bodies. The more fat on their bodies became an extra strain on their heart. It was usually amplified as the arteries became blocked and constricted. It was like a slow motion process of suicide.

Young Allison enjoyed her meal very much. Everything was excellent. She was pretty sure the food in 1963 tasted better than the food did from her time. It was probably just her imagination. Then again, the food in 1963 might be a little more natural than what they were later on in time. She returned the empty mug to the worker and threw her trash away. It was time to go.

"How far is the safe house from here?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron knew Young Allison wanted to get her exercise in.

"Do you want to run or walk?" Cameron asked.

Young Allison patted her stomach.

"I think a brisk walk to start out would be fine." Young Allison said. "If it's not too far, I would rather use the bathroom when we arrive than go behind a bush around here anywhere."

Cameron smiled at the mention of the word bush. She knew Young Allison referred to a plant. A 'bush' elsewhere was something none of the girls in the Resistance needed to worry about anymore. The only hair on their bodies was on their heads, as it should be. She was aware the trend would take another two decades to catch on with the general population. When it did, it caught on in a big way and was still going strong. She thought it was somewhat ironic all of the girls wanted to 'grow up' as fast as they could. Once they did, they tried everything they could to return to their younger appearance.

"We will be there in ten minutes at a brisk walk." Cameron said.

Young Allison and Cameron left the Munch Box behind. They were on their way to the first 'safe house'.

Aim To Please

When the direction of the wind changes
Will it be more than a breeze
Is what is now visible
More than what one actually sees

When the opportunity presents itself
Will one clam up and freeze
Maybe the moment in time
Will allow them the future to seize

Some can't make the jump
Others do it with ease
Nothing is free in life
There are always hidden fees

It will take a lot more
Than degrees and expertise
To avoid sickness and despair
When they diagnose life's disease

Take the time to listen
You can hear their pleas
Think about to what is said
Always try to aim to please
