Chapter 1513
I'll Drive Later On
Cam called up the image of the diagram of the mine. There were four main levels. There was a central shaft which connected the main levels and several connecting shafts where veins were followed. There were also ventilation shafts connected to the one they'd come down as well as several others.
"We're on Level One." Cam said.
Gail figured Skynet would be on level three or four. It would want to be deep enough to avoid any bunker buster bombs dropped from above.
"We would seem to need to reach the lowest level to find what we seek." Gail said.
Bob figured the same thing. In such a sprawling complex, there was bound to be more. He didn't know what they would find. He figured it would be plenty.
"There will be other things as well on the different levels." Bob said.
Jim was concerned with the giant power cell. He was aware of their destructive power. It wouldn't bode well for anyone inside the mine at the time it ruptured. The Resistance team's previous encounters with them, always ended with a catastrophic explosion. He knew there needed to be some restraint to their response.
"I think the real danger is the massive power cell." Jim said.
Cam didn't want them to get ahead of themselves. She possessed all of Cameron's files from her adventures into mines and tunnels in search of Skynet. None of them ended well for Skynet. All of them almost ended as badly for Cameron. Savannah was with her more than once. The video files they'd witnessed in the lab, of a recent encounter with the anti-Metal bunker, were fresh in her mind as well.
Gail noticed Cam looked a little out of it. She moved closer to her.
"What's wrong?" Gail whispered in Cam's ear.
Cam was aware Gail just took her left hand. She didn't realize it started to glitch. She was worried about the implication of things going forward. She needed to prevent something from happening.
"We can't let Savannah or Young Allison near this place." Cam whispered back. "I'm fine now."
Gail didn't plan to allow it anyway. She would ask CamNet to run a temporal mission to pull them out if they did show up. She planned to take Savannah's place if she arrived there.
Bob thought much the same as Gail and Cam. He planned to handle it differently. Summer was his favorite. He would ask for her assistance to get the girls out. He knew she could do it on her own. He also believed she could prevent John Henry and CamNet from stopping her on anything she chose to do. It was his opinion, Summer was 'The One'. He knew he wasn't the only Terminator who believed it. Cameron originally spoke of the 'Chosen One'. She always referred to Savannah as the 'Chosen One'. It wasn't long before Young Allison was included with her. They became the 'Chosen Ones'. He was pretty sure the 'Chosen One' was Summer, if not 'The One.'
Cam knew they needed to get out of the closed off section of the mine and into the active section of the mine. The shafts could be blocked in some manner. If they were blown closed, they would be almost impossible to reopen in any timely and safe manner. If they were boarded up or even welded closed with steel or iron they could get through.
Right now she needed to place a repeater for their coms every so often to keep in contact with the surface. She wanted CamNet, John Henry and Summer to assist them with directions and determinations. She didn't have any illusions it was going to be easy. Another glitch impulse shot through her hand. She moved ahead anyway. There was a job to do. They were there to do it. If Skynet was there, it needed to be brought down.
Earlier:
Savannah headed the T-Bird for Lake Tahoe. There was an airport just to the south of the lake. The sun just set as the lake came into view. They were able to watch it set. She was at nine thousand feet. The lake was at just over six thousand feet in elevation. It nested high up in the Sierra Nevada range.
She was surprised CamNet contacted her and she was cleared to go around the lake once and a second time if she wanted to. Lake Tahoe was nearly two hundred square miles of water surface and contained over seventy miles of shoreline. The length was twenty two miles long. It was in two states at their boundary. There were casinos and gambling on the Nevada side of the State Line. Most of the area around the lake was undeveloped. There were roads and trails around the entire perimeter.
"Look how beautiful it is." Savannah said as she quickly looked back at Cameron.
Cameron looked directly at Savannah as she looked back for a few seconds.
"It's very beautiful." Cameron said.
Cameron then looked at the lake and the sunset.
"The view of the lake is nice too." Cameron said.
Savannah looked back at Cameron again when she said the last part. She realized Cameron earlier referred to her.
"Some things are beautiful no matter how they look." Savannah said.
Savannah thought of the times Cameron was damaged. She never saw Cameron as anything less than beautiful at those times either.
There were some tall mountains around them. Some towered a few thousand feet above them as she made the circuit around the lake. They were covered with trees. She once viewed an old photo. It showed the entire area where they were at now was 'clear cut' and every tree was gone. To see it now, it was hard to believe it looked like it did at one point. Now there were trees everywhere. They were all big trees too. She remembered early on some ranchers and farmers wanted to drain the lake and use the water for crops in the Nevada desert and for livestock. The Truckee River flowed with water from Lake Tahoe. It passed through Reno and Sparks before it emptied into Pyramid Lake. It was over a hundred and twenty miles away.
Savannah asked CamNet for another flight around the lake in the opposite direction. She completed the circuit and headed for the airport as the sky began to darken. She set the T-33 smoothly down on the runway and followed the taxi instructions set up by CamNet. They taxied between two rows of hangers until there was one with an open door, it was empty. Savannah spun the jet around and shut it down.
There was a rugged high rise Jeep parked next to the hanger on one side, and a fuel truck parked on the other side.
Savannah and Cameron climbed out of the T-Bird. They did a brief inspection of the jet.
The tanker pulled up and Cameron showed Savannah how to fill all the fuel tanks. The tanker drove away when they were done.
Cameron looked around and didn't see anyone so she pushed the T-33 backwards into the hanger. They closed and locked the door after Savannah used the restroom.
Savannah cleaned herself up thoroughly. She expected the next time her underwear came off. Cameron would be the one to remove them. She knew the Metal girls were always good to go. The human girls needed a little work sometimes for smoother sailing.
Savannah looked at the burly Jeep.
"I take it this is our ride." Savannah said.
Cameron looked at the fancy Jeep. They would be able to just about go anywhere around the area, on or off the road.
"It is." Cameron said. "Do you want to drive?"
Savannah looked at Cameron.
"I'll drive later on." Savannah said.
Cameron smiled.
'I've waited my whole existence for this….' Cameron thought.
Savannah knew tonight was the night. It was what she'd dreamed about every night since she could remember being at the Resistance base. Her love for Cameron was beyond description. She'd even stayed behind to die with Cameron, when Cameron was trapped. She'd always promised Cameron she would never leave her. She would never abandon her and she would never throw her away. She was the only one who never gave up on Cameron, ever.
Cameron held the door of the Jeep for Savannah as she climbed in. Cameron touched her suggestively as she buckled her seat belt for her. They looked into each other's eyes as Cameron closed her door and went around to the driver's side.
She climbed up and started the Jeep.
"Where to?" Cameron asked. "Do you want to eat something?"
Savannah giggled. She could think of a few things.
Cameron understood Savannah's interpretation. She wanted to make what she said clear.
"I mean food." Cameron said with a smile. "Dessert will be soon enough."
Savannah looked at her phone. She was a little surprised there were accommodations waiting for them.
"It looks like we have a place to stay." Savannah said.
She showed Cameron her phone. There was a map with instructions.
"It's right on the lake." Cameron said.
There were some photos as well.
"It looks beautiful." Savannah said.
Cameron still worried about Savannah's nourishment.
"You need some food." Cameron said.
Savannah looked at the amenities of the waterfront house. It appeared to be fully equipped.
"It comes with a fully stocked kitchen and pantry." Savannah said. "I want to go there first…."
Cameron followed the directions. She drove at a safe speed. She didn't want to get into an accident at this point. They pulled up in the driveway safely.
Savannah looked over the dwelling.
"Is that it?" Savannah asked.
Cameron did a visual comparison of the daytime photos.
"Yes." Cameron said.
Savannah was excited for about five different reasons.
"Let's go check it out." Savannah said.
Cameron noticed there was a dock in the back right below the giant porch and wooden deck. There was a boat docked there. It looked like a medium sized houseboat. They were in a small isolated cove. No other houses could be seen around them. They would have total privacy.
She looked around at everything. She knew this was a message set to her by CamNet. It didn't matter. It was about what was best for Savannah. It was another indication sacrifice was the true test of love. CamNet spared nothing for Savannah. She was 'CamNet', even if CamNet wasn't her anymore.
"This is all wonderful, Savannah." Cameron said. "Let's go inside."
Cameron walked up to the front door. There was a keypad for entry. She looked at it for a moment.
"I don't know the code." Cameron said.
Savannah looked at her phone. There was no clue.
Savannah reached over and took Cameron's index finger. She lifted her hand and pushed '6'. She moved it over to the '9' and Cameron pushed down. The lock clicked and the door opened.
Savannah giggled. She liked CamNet's sense of humor. It was something she'd taught CamNet as well. She tried to teach all of the Terminators about the little things in life. Some of them were a little slower than others to grasp them. Some picked them up right away when they saw the importance to her.
Cameron faced Savannah and scooped her up off of her feet and carried her through the door. She pushed it closed with her foot.
Their faces were inches apart.
Cameron could feel Savannah's heart pounding. She could feel her excitement and anticipation. She scanned her as she held her. Savannah was highly sexually aroused. She realized she was too. She'd never quite felt like this. This was different. This was special. This was destiny. This is what she'd sought all along. The 'Future Allison' in her was her driving force. It was what every version of 'Allison' wanted. It all made sense now. Savannah was who she'd always wanted….
Young Allison headed for a fast food restaurant.
"You should eat something more nutritious." Anna said. "You're still growing."
Young Allison was aware she was almost as tall as Allison. She touched herself with her left hand as she drove. She still needed a little more meat in a few areas. She wasn't really sure if she wanted the extra bulk in a few other places are not. It didn't really matter. It was all a package deal. She'd seen her older self in Allison and Future Allison. She knew Cameron wanted her baby when she had one. It would be the same way like Savannah did at an early age, she was ready. It wasn't about her. It was for Cameron and the future.
"I'm doing fine." Young Allison said.
They passed by the park where they'd picked up Julie less than a week ago.
Anna didn't like where they were at. There'd been problems associated with the park. She felt Young Allison lift off the accelerator. A red flag went off. They didn't need any problems.
"There's been enough trouble here." Anna said. "Don't stop."
Young Allison slowed and turned to drive around the perimeter of the park. She glanced back. Randy and Brian held weapons at the ready. They didn't like the earlier trouble either. It was clear everyone was on edge and worried about events which might happen. She didn't want anyone to get ahead of themselves. She wondered if any of their past activity bore fruit.
"Everyone needs to relax." Young Allison said. "How's Julie doing?"
Anna received an update from CamNet as soon as Young Allison asked.
"She's followed all the rules and is in the process of detoxifying." Anna said. "Her prognosis looks good so far. It's only been less than a week. She needs more time."
Young Allison remembered Julie was worried about some of her friends. If she saw any trouble, she was going to stop. She learned her lesson from last time not to go looking for trouble. More than a few men died because of her involvement. They were all dirty so it didn't bother her. Maybe she learned a different lesson than the others. She learned they won and the bad guys lost. It was all that mattered in the end.
"If we spot a crew around here, we're going to take them down." Young Allison said. "We didn't get all of them the last time."
Anna figured Young Allison learned her lesson. It appeared to be a different lesson than she'd thought.
"I have to advise you against this." Anna said. "You need to eat and the operation at the mine is now underway."
Young Allison quickly looked at Anna.
"I thought you said it was a recon so far." Young Allison said.
Anna received another update.
"It is." Anna said.
Young Allison could see her current actions caused the Terminators some concern. She still felt it was the right thing to do. She was sure her actions previously prevented additional assaults from occurring on several levels. It certainly freed a number of individuals, both male and female, from some form of forced sexual servitude. Those actions needed to count for something.
"We'll just look for any obvious threats." Young Allison said. "The people who died were all future Scavengers. I don't plan to meet any Scavengers in the future. Thinning the herd now isn't a bad thing."
Anna really wished Savannah was there now. She thought she would be the only one to rein Young Allison in right now. She felt it was prudent to issue an additional warning.
"You don't need to do this." Anna said.
Young Allison's phone rang. She was a little surprised at the caller. She looked at it and then looked at Anna, Brian and Randy. She spoke with them first, before she answered her phone.
"I see I have a fan club." Young Allison said. "Hello, Summer…."
Mary and Laura suggested a Mexican restaurant. Leticia thought it was a good idea. It sounded like fun and there was often a dance area. She liked to dance.
Cammy figured they could make a quick stop there.
Ally questioned the choice of food. She tried to be diplomatic.
"Maybe a more stable source of nourishment would be better." Ally said.
Sheila thought about it for a second. Her answer was a little less diplomatic.
"From what I've observed, there isn't much processing necessary for most Mexican food." Sheila said. "It looks pretty much the same coming out as it does going in."
Mary and Laura quickly looked at each other.
"Maybe it's not such a good choice after all." Mary said.
Laura didn't want to end up with 'gas'.
"We could just get a pizza and take it back or something." Laura said.
Leticia was good with anything.
"We could get some Chinese food to go." Leticia said.
Sheila moved Leticia's head down.
"In that case, I have a 'fortune cookie' right down here for you." Sheila said.
Leticia was all for it. Sheila already worked on her.
"What's inside of it?" Leticia asked. "What's my fortune say?"
Sheila smiled.
"It says there's plenty more where it came from." Sheila said.
The girls all laughed.
John did what Claire wanted. He did the 'mother-daughter' comparison in his mind. There was no doubt Claire was better at everything in bed. He loved both of them, but he thought he loved Allison more. Maybe it was because he'd known her longer. Maybe it was because he'd watched her change some from the future she'd come from. Maybe it was because she was the human version of Cameron, more or less. Allison wasn't Future Allison, even if they were the same individual.
He thought about what the girls indicated. He wasn't sure he wanted anyone to move in. He liked having a selection of females available. He would feel obligated to concentrate on the one who was in his room all the time. Maybe it was a new strategy by Cameron. She'd provided him with a selection of five very attractive human females. There were things he liked about all of them. If he needed to choose one, he wasn't sure he could do it. Each of them seemed to have something a little different to offer, even if it was the same thing. Maybe it was the point. As long as the girls were content to share with each other and him, and there was no fighting over him, it might be something beautiful.
Claire didn't need to ask John who was better in bed. She could tell by his responses she was. She'd hoped for a little more but could see John was spent. She knew Jesse wanted to visit him as well.
"I think you're done for now." Claire said. "It looks like everything could use a little rest."
John knew it was true.
"I just need a little rest." John said. "I think I did the job."
Claire smiled and gave John a slow deep kiss.
"You did." Claire said. "You were magnificent. You've opened up a whole new world to me. I was afraid there was something wrong with me. Now I know there isn't."
John was sure she'd made it at least four times. He didn't realize it was double the number.
"I try my best." John said.
Claire wanted to stay the whole night. She knew Jesse wanted another round. She didn't want to be selfish. She was still pleased she'd been able to be with John right after Allison. She wanted to ask how they compared, but didn't think she really needed to.
"Maybe I should go so you can rest." Claire said.
John hoped she would stay longer. He wanted to be with her some more.
"I'll be good to go again soon." John said.
He really appreciated the way Cameron worked him up to being able to perform like this. It was her plan all along. He still didn't know about the 'assistance' she'd provided for him.
Claire wanted to see Jesse right now and then send her to John.
"I need to go." Claire said. "I don't feel like getting dressed."
John figured out why the girls all left and where they all went. He figured, better them than him, for the next task.
"There's a robe for you in the closet." John said.
Claire got up and looked.
"I see there are two in here for Jesse." Claire said. "It must be for both of them."
She'd noticed the one for Savannah, but it was put off to the side. She didn't see what was under it. She would've been upset.
She put the robe on but didn't close it.
"I'll give you one last look before I go." Claire said as she looked down at herself. "I wish I would have done this when I was in high school."
They kissed and fondled each other as they moved towards the door. John was still naked. He didn't think it really mattered too much what any of them actually thought or wanted. Everything would hinge around one individual, it wasn't him.
"We can talk things over with Cameron." John said.
Claire smiled. She wanted to remind John of the other options awaiting him.
"I'll send Jesse when she's done with me." Claire said. "Maybe Young Jesse will show up first."
John's eyes widened at the thought. He was still thrilled that he'd been Young Jesse 'first', well, her first male anyway. Technically he still took her virginity.
"They're both beautiful." John said. "You are too."
Claire gave him a parting kiss.
John watched her go. His door was open and he didn't think about being naked. He really hoped Jesse and Young Jesse would come together. His wording made him smile. It was one adventure he anticipated.
He shut his door once Claire waved at him and went around the corner. He started to walk away. He went back and left the door open six inches. It was what the girls did when they wanted company.
He took a quick shower and went and lay back down in bed after he drank another one of the 'energy drinks' Cameron left him. He needed to rest a little before the next girl arrived. He really didn't care who it was. They were all good. Some of them were just better.
Life was good. He really hoped Cameron would have as good of a time as he was having. Right now, he really didn't care.
John Henry and Summer tried to track the progress of the team in the mine.
"None of the diagrams are correct." John Henry said.
Summer looked at them. She could tell things weren't exact. She still felt it provided them with vital information.
"They're off, but not by too much." Summer said. "They still give a good overview and general description of where they are, and where they need to go."
They would correctly lay out the interior of the mine from the Terminator's reports. They knew those could end at any time. It would still allow them to send an energy bubble to a known and specific location.
Summer hoped they would find a giant power cell inside of the mine. She wouldn't hesitate to use nuclear weapons again as she'd done with the anti-Metal bunker. The difference would be, this time she would have the Terminators who constructed the shaft, take the weapons with them. There was a greater chance of Skynet finding them if they constructed a giant power cell.
John Henry figured out what she'd planned. He wanted to be an active part of it.
"I'd like to be kept in the loop." John Henry said.
Summer went over and touched his cheek. She wanted him to understand she wanted him to keep his hands 'clean'.
"I need to protect you too, John Henry." Summer said. "If it goes bad, it's on me. No one else needs to take the rap."
John Henry felt an electrical type surge pass through him as Summer touched his cheek.
"I'll back your play." John Henry said.
Summer smiled at him.
"I know you will…." Summer said. "Thank you."
Summer seemed to know a lot of things.
CamNet's Terminator moved around the air conditioning unit and shot both of the men with his silenced M9. They wouldn't be going anywhere. He left them where they were. He made his way to the roof access hatch and entered. There was a ladder which ran down the side of the wall. It was located in a storage room. The lights were on in the storage room. There was no one else in it. He moved up to the door and listened.
He could hear talking on the outside. It sounded as if two men were very close. He backed up away from the door. It opened into the room. He would be behind it when it opened.
"I don't know why they're not responding." The first man said.
"Get up there and look." The second man said. "They're our eyes in the sky."
The door to the storage room opened. Two men walked in.
The Terminator pushed the door closed behind them. Before either man could turn around, he shot both of them with his silenced M9.
He reached down and tossed both of their bodies in a corner. He moved back up to the door. He opened the door a crack and looked out of it. He could see a half a dozen men moving around frantically in all directions. It looked like they were about to pack up and pull out.
The second man he'd just shot in the storage room had a distinct voice. It was a 'New York type' accent. He actually found it quite irritating. He decided to emulate his voice and see if he could get more of the enemy to come to him. He wasn't ready to get into a gun battle with a group yet, but he wouldn't hesitate.
"I need a couple of you to come and help me right now." The Terminator said with the irritating New York accent. "Let's put some hustle in it."
The Terminator left the door slightly ajar. He could hear voices approaching.
"Now what's wrong?" The first man asked. "Do I have to do everything myself?"
"Vince said he needed a couple of us to help him." The second man said. "We were the two closest. It's no big deal."
The next time the two men spoke, it was in very quiet tones.
"Vinnie can take his crew and head back to the East Coast." The first man whispered. "We don't need East Coast types out here. All they do is bring trouble. Ever since the events in Las Vegas a few months ago, there's been nothing but trouble with the Families and the Cartels."
"I hear you, bro." The second man whispered. "It is what it is. There's not much we can do. Once you're in, there's no out. Well, except one way."
The Terminator wanted them to hurry into the room.
"Let's get a move on." The Terminator said with the irritating New York accent.
"All right already." The first man said as he entered the storage room.
The second man was right behind him.
The Terminator looked through the gap between the door and the wall. He didn't see anyone else behind them. He pushed the door closed. Before either man could turn around, he shot both of them. He tossed their bodies on top of the other two in the corner.
He moved back to the door and opened it up slightly and looked out. He didn't see the man who he believed was in charge of the group. The drone had been able to get a close up image of the man as he got into the limo from the previous location.
The men inside the building all seemed angry at each other.
"Why don't any of the phones work?" The first man asked.
"How am I supposed to know?" The second man asked.
"Where is everyone?" The first man asked.
"Vincenzo and Jimmy went to check out why the guys on the roof didn't respond when they called them." The first man said. "He asked for a couple of guys to help him a minute later."
"They didn't respond because none of the phones or radios work." The second man said.
The Terminator thought he could lure two more men into the store room.
"I need you guys to come quick." The Terminator said with the irritating New York accent. "I just found something. Hurry up and get in here."
The Terminator could see the two men hurry in the direction of the storeroom. He moved back behind the door again.
The two men hurried into the store room. He closed the door behind him and shot both of them with his silenced M9 before either one of them turned around. He tossed their bodies on top of the other four. He changed the magazine in his M9 to a fresh one. So far it was eight of the enemy down. Not a single shot had been fired in return.
He opened the door slightly again. He could only see two men moving around inside now. It was the two men who'd been out on the dock loading the van.
The Terminator decided it was time to go on the offensive. He opened the door of the storeroom and stepped out.
The first man moved on. He wanted to find the two truck drivers. He looked over to the side again where the dry gulch was at. He wondered if anyone would attempt to breach their compound through it. He knew it ran all the way out to the main highway and got deeper as it went along. There were some spots where it was very wide and shallow. Through most of its length, it had eroded a fairly deep bed.
He thought about going back to where the tributary ran down into it. He knew there was a fence because he saw it. He wondered if anyone could come in under the fence. He thought it would be a fairly long walk from the highway if someone did. So far the two men by the main gate hadn't spotted any other vehicles on the road leading to the complex.
The first man brushed it off. He didn't want to go chasing shadows or ghosts. He made his way to the second outbuilding. He took one look behind him before he entered. He wanted to have a discussion with the two truck drivers. They should be out on the line too with everything the way it was.
He entered the building and looked around. He didn't spot them right away. He wondered if they were elsewhere. They could be in the main building. It was a very large building. He didn't look through it earlier. He'd only talked to the technicians. Maybe they were back at their trucks.
He exited the building and looked around one more time. He couldn't see much in the darkness. He thought about going back over in the direction where the tributary entered the dry gulch. He brushed It off.
The first man headed back towards the main building.
The female Fanatic wasn't sure if she wanted to follow the man, or head for the big building. She knew what Jill wanted to do. Maybe it was a start. It would be easier if they could take the men out, one at a time. They weren't going to be able to withstand any type of barrage if they became involved in a gunfight. They could take the man out as he was walking around now. He wouldn't be missed for a while if he was on some type of roving patrol, each observation post would think he was at a different observation post.
"We can follow him and see if he leads us to the truck drivers." The female Fanatic said. "We need to stay off the main path and stay low to the ground. We need to be ready to stop in an instant. We'll be traveling over exposed ground if someone is looking. If they have some type of night vision device, we're going to be picked up."
Jill understood the seriousness of the situation. They were operating inside the enemy camp again. It was just like the mine, even if it was totally different. In the mine, everything was closed in and there was nowhere to go. Where they were now was completely out in the open with nothing over at them or around them. She wasn't sure which one she actually liked better. No, it was being outside. She really didn't want to go back into a mine again if it could ever be avoided. She strongly doubted she would have the opportunity anyway.
"We'll do what you think is prudent." Jill said. "You have training and experience. I don't."
The female Fanatic thought she'd been through more than a few close ones over the last few days. She wasn't even sure how she was still alive. She was and it was all that really mattered. She was there to prevent Skynet from getting a foothold in the past to influence the future. It was her goal. If they could move around clandestinely for a while, they could find out where the men were positioned, and how many of them there were. If they could take a few of them out silently, it's something they should do.
They moved out of the two drainage culverts and peered up over the side of the road. They watched the man walk away. He stopped a short distance later and looked back. They both ducked down a little more. He soon went on his way.
She led Jill out of the drainage ditch. They stayed off to the side as much as they could. They watched the man head towards the second building. He paused before he went in. He looked around and then entered.
The female Fanatic didn't think anyone would come out right away. She saw it as her chance to move up to the building.
Lena and Tina move up the tributary to the fence. They needed to wait for the other females to make their move before they proceeded. They watched as they crawled out of the culverts and paused as the man looked back in their direction. He didn't look back in the direction of where the two females were. He looked back where they were at. Luckily they hadn't moved yet.
The man continued along. The two females followed him. They moved up to the fence and entered the same way the two females did. Once they were through, Lena bent the rebar back up and moved a section of the fence up over the end of it. It was now more securely held in place and not as easily movable if someone were to actually check it. If they needed to go back out the same way, it wouldn't be a problem for them.
They moved up to where the culverts were at. They watched the man go into the building. The two females move closer to the building. They remained where they were for right now.
"Do you want to take out any of the outposts?" Lena asked.
Tina knew it wouldn't be a problem. The drones overhead could silently take out all four outposts with 'metal hail'. They could do it themselves. They could each move off and attack two of the outposts. They could also go to each of the different outbuildings and terminate anyone in them. It would just leave the large building as a target.
"Let's see what develops with the two females and the man first." Tina said.
The two female Terminators watched the new development at the outbuilding.

Young Allison climbed back in bed. She engaged the safety on the Browning and slid it under the pillow. Her eyes soon closed again. She woke up one more time a few minutes later. Her hand slipped down a little lower and she took care of herself to relieve the tension. It was something she hadn't been able to do for a couple of days. She was able to fall back asleep soon afterwards.
Cameron continued westbound on Lassen Street. She crossed over the railroad tracks and Owensmouth Street. The next major street was Topanga Canyon Boulevard. Topanga Canyon Boulevard went all the way from Santa Susana Pass road, to the beach south of Malibu. It actually went to Topanga Beach, which no one ever seemed to talk about. It was a street constructed out of concrete. It was also known as Route 156. Next year it would become State Route 27.
In a few years, SR 27 would have a few alignment changes in the north San Fernando Valley area, specifically in Chatsworth and Canoga Park. When she reached the intersection, she turned left. she went down to the next street which was Marilla Street. Topanga curved slightly to the southeast and went around the base of a hill. It would later be put right through the center of the hill. The old route would remain in place. The name was changed to Topanga Canyon Place and it dead ended against a fill where the dirt was dumped when they cut through the mountain.
There was a lumber yard on the northeast corner of the intersection. The tail track of a railroad 'wye' currently served the lumber yard. It was originally on the alignment of the Burbank Branch. The original Chatsworth Park Station, built in 1893, was located halfway down the street before the road curved and turned into Canoga Avenue. There was a fire station approximately across the street from where the original Chatsworth Park Station was located. It was recently constructed last year. It would be rebuilt into a more modern facility in fifteen more years. Ironically enough, the original Chatsworth Park Station burnt to the ground. It happened in 1917. The name of the community was later shortened to Chatsworth. The second Chatsworth station, built on the new main line, was constructed in 1910. It was torn down last year in 1962.
At one point in time, the end of the Burbank Branch was extended a mile to the west up against the Simi Hills. They were mostly made up of sandstone. Rock was mined from a query there for several years from 1901 to 1905. A cemetery was constructed near the site later on. The rock was used to construct the breakwater at San Pedro. Southern Pacific wasn't happy when the voters chose the San Pedro area to be the harbor for the Los Angeles area in 1897. Construction was started in San Pedro in 1899. It was clear they needed a large source of rock. It had to be of suitable quality. They soon found an abundance source.
Southern Pacific already constructed a two mile long wharf, known as 'The Long Wharf', at Santa Monica and hoped it would become the harbor for the Los Angeles area. It didn't. She thought a two mile long wharf was fairly substantial. She'd viewed pictures of it and there were railroad tracks on it all the way to the end. She wondered how many ships would be able to dock at a two mile long wharf. It seemed like a lot.
There were a couple of other vehicles out. She let them pass. She turned around and went north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard to where she'd been earlier. When she reached the intersection of Devonshire, she crossed over it. She'd read Topanga Canyon Boulevard was known as Santa Susana Avenue north of Devonshire Street until it reached the location where it crossed over Tunnel 28. It then became Santa Susana Pass Road and continued into the area known as Santa Susana on the other side of the hills. Later on the name was changed to Simi Valley.
Southern Pacific always used the name Santa Susanna on the other side of the hill until the station was put out of service. In the early years, Santa Susana was spelled as Santa Susanna. After she crossed over the intersection, she spotted the post office on the right side of the street a couple of hundred feet past the corner. A new Post Office building would be constructed later on near the Munch Box. She would explore the area with Young Allison later on. She continued up to Chatsworth Street and made a right. She would head back home.
Cameron approached the safe house. She got out and opened the gates and pulled forward. She closed them behind her. She pulled up to the barn and opened the door. She thought it was more of a garage at this point, even if it had once been a barn. The only horses inside of it were in the form of horsepower. There was plenty of it as well.
She opened the garage door. She backed in and parked the Falcon next to the other vehicles. She looked over at the two FE engines on the engine stands.
She really wondered how the Falcon would perform with a 427 in it. She would need to modify the shock towers and beef up the suspension. The car was currently equipped with a simulated hood scoop which was non-functional. She may have to do some work with the hood to get everything to fit under it. The hood scoop could become functional as well. They were all things she could do. They would have a lot of time on their hands.
If they were still around in the next year when the first Mustangs were released by Ford, she would put a 427 in a Fastback. They wouldn't be available until August of 1964. The hardtop and convertible would first come out in mid April of 1964. She was never really sure why Ford built a 'sedan version' of what was supposed to be a 'sports type car'. She thought all of them should have been built as Fastbacks. They at least looked better.
The Mustang certainly wasn't the first muscle car. One thing was for sure. She would have the fastest 1964 1/2 Mustang around if she put a 427 in one. Technically it would still be a 1965 Mustang. Enthusiasts gave it a different moniker. They viewed the '1965 model' as coming out in September of 1964. It was something rail fans and aircraft buffs did as well for their interest. Many different things we're giving different names, some of them were comical. Some of them were derogatory. Some of them were just descriptive.
They were supposed to remain in the past for approximately one year. Originally it had been for several years. Since the trip was delayed so many times, it really wasn't even necessary. If Young Allison hadn't interacted with Cammy and Sheila in the past to set up the H-bomb explosion in the Nevada desert, there wouldn't be any need to go at all.
She checked once around the garage and exited. She closed and locked the door behind her. She made another circuit of the property and the smaller outbuildings. she determined, all is as it was.
Cameron headed for the house.
I'll Drive Later On
When things start out
The conclusion is not foregone
There could be some joy
Or end with a yawn
No one wants to be treated
Like a meaningless pawn
The results of such action
Will spawn a black swan
Halfway through the race
They don't want to be passed like a baton
To be treated as such
Makes the other a moron
Nothing progresses very far
When one or both are withdrawn
Darkness is not the way
To start a new dawn
When it's time to set up
A new time for a liaison
Lay back and relax
I'll drive later on
Nobody
