Chapter 1518
Small Snack
Young Allison was steamed about the female who was abused and then beaten after she'd submitted and complied with her assailant's demands. She wanted blood and she was going to get it. She was going to kill the punks herself.
Randy, Brian and Mel intercepted the trio of street punks. They busted them up then bound and gagged them for Young Allison.
She was pleased to see they were on their knees. She moved forward with her knife. These were future Scavengers and would face justice as such.
"Hold them in place." Young Allison said.
She went to use her knife on the first street punk. She hesitated.
Brian reminded her of what she wanted to do.
"You said you wanted to kill them." Brian said. "They're ready to be terminated."
Young Allison could see the fractures and ever increasing blood loss, the street punks would soon bleed out. They were already 'dead' for all practical purposes. They just hadn't actually lost enough blood to finish it.
Anna didn't want Young Allison to execute them in the first place.
"It's finished." Anna said. "We don't need to be here. We can get some food for you and go home."
Young Allison felt somewhat cheated. She'd wanted to hurt them herself. The hurting was already done.
The three street punks withered in pain as they bled out.
"This is for the girl." Young Allison said.
She kicked the closest punk in the side of the head. She moved to the next one.
"This is for the girl." Young Allison said.
She kicked the next punk in the side of the head. She moved to the last one.
"This is for the girl." Young Allison said.
She kicked the last punk in the side of the head.
Anna hoped Young Allison got some of the 'fire' out of her system.
"Let's go." Anna said.
Young Allison turned to walk away but stopped. If she left now, they would suffer until they lost consciousness. She'd wanted to be the one who'd made them suffer. She pulled her silenced M9 out and went back to them. They still withered around in pain and still screamed with their gags on. They could see they were about to be killed. Even in their condition, they still didn't want to die. It was actually pathetic.
"Suffer some more." Young Allison said. "Justice has been served."
Young Allison put her silenced M9 away and turned around. She walked away from the punks. She didn't execute them.
Anna was appalled by Young Allison's actions, even if she hadn't taken it too far. It was far enough. She was vengeful and vindictive right now. It wasn't how she wanted her to be. It wasn't how she was supposed to be.
"Let's go." Anna said.
Young Allison walked back to the SUV. She looked back at the slowly moving figures as they suffered and bled. She believed Allison would act the same way she did right now if she was there in her place. She went to the back of the SUV and opened it up. She took out a Thermite grenade and started back towards the nearly dead street punks. She knew she could make them suffer some more still.
"No." Anna said.
Young Allison continued to walk towards them.
"NO!" Anna said.
Anna took Young Allison's arm and physically stopped her.
Young Allison didn't like the challenge. She wanted to remind Anna of her place.
"I can order you to let me go." Young Allison said.
Anna didn't back down.
"It's the only way I'll do it." Anna said. "This is finished here. Look at yourself. You asked for my guidance when you were about to blow it. You know it's wrong to take it further, especially like this."
Young Allison saw the three figures barely moved. She knew the burning Thermite would rejuvenate their suffering. She also needed to listen to Anna. She did tell Anna to inform her when she was about to blow it. She turned away from the dying figures. She looked at the male Terminators.
"All right, break off." Young Allison said as she looked back over her shoulder. "We're done here. Finish it."
Mel moved down the row of the three punks and stomped on each of their necks. They were crushed and snapped at the same time. They were dead. There were no bullet of knife wounds in them. They died from the same medicine they'd dished out to others. It was blunt force trauma.
Brian didn't want Young Allison to worry about it anymore. It was over.
"We'll take care of the trash." Brian said.
Young Allison looked back. She knew the Terminators did what they did to 'protect' her from herself.
"Thank you for everything." Young Allison said. "I understand it all now."
The Terminators tossed the three dead men into two dumpsters in the alley and covered them with trash. Somehow it seemed fitting.
Young Allison got behind the wheel of the SUV.
Mel, Randy and Brian got into the other SUV and were ready to follow them.
Anna wasn't sure what Young Allison was going to do next.
"Where are we going to go?" Anna asked.
Young Allison thought about heading for the homeless camp by the railroad tracks. They could clean up some more 'trash' there. She looked over at Anna. She could see her actions 'hurt' Anna some. It wasn't her intent. She reached over and touched Anna's cheek.
"Thank you." Young Allison said. "I'm sorry."
Anna leaned over and gave her a hug.
"I care about you too." Anna said. "You're a good person."
Young Allison wasn't so sure anymore. Her first night of combat was only a few days ago. She was sure it changed everything.
"I need you to keep reminding me of it." Young Allison said.
Young Allison told Anna where she wanted to go and drove to a local fast food place. She'd thought about two of them and made a last second choice. She made a turn and pulled into the drive through.
"Your order is ready for pickup." Anna said. "It's a small snack."
Young Allison looked at her.
"I didn't even order yet." Young Allison said.
Anna was informed by CamNet where Young Allison would go before she'd said anything.
"Summer did." Anna said. "She took care of you."
In an instant, she knew it was Summer who'd asked CamNet to have Brian, Randy and Mel deal the punks before she'd arrived and why. Summer always looked after her, as she looked after Summer. She'd wondered why things happened the way they did. It all made sense now.
"I also thank Summer and CamNet for watching over me." Young Allison said. "I do appreciate it, even if I don't always seem like it at first."
She drove past the ordering station on the drive though and pulled up to the window. The worker opened the window.
"Are you R. E. Demption?" The worker asked.
Young Allison looked quickly over at Anna.
Anna shrugged her shoulders.
She looked back at the worker.
"I am." Young Allison said.
The worker handed over three bags of food. A fountain drink, a malt, orange juice and a carton of milk.
"That's everything." The worker said. "We all appreciated the hundred dollar tip too."
The other two workers waved at her.
Young Allison figured it was more of Summer's handiwork.
"Anytime…." Young Allison said as she drove away.
Anna looked in the first bag.
"There's a double cheeseburger, a large order of fries and onion rings." Anna said as she looked in the other two bags. "There's also a large salad, fresh fruit and cooked vegetables."
Young Allison almost laughed.
"Where did they get the other stuff?" Young Allison asked.
Anna looked further.
"It's from the local deli." Anna said. "There's also a small pastrami sub sandwich with extra pickles. They're all the things you like."
Young Allison felt very touched. There were others who cared about her very much.
"CamNet and Summer are the greatest." Young Allison said. "Thank you all for looking out for me."
Young Allison headed for home. She thought all of the food smelled great. There was one thing she wanted to try right now.
"Let me start on those fries." Young Allison said. "They're no good cold. They're even worse warmed up."
Anna already took them out. She put a straw in the soda for her. Everything was ready for Young Allison.
"Thank you too, Anna." Young Allison said as she headed for home.
Two blocks away from home, Mel passed them. They would have the area secure and checked out when they arrived.
Anna was pleased everything worked out.
Young Allison was too.
The rotted wood snapped and collapsed under Cam's feet. She disappeared down the shaft.
There was another rumble and blast noise. The collapsed section of the passageway they'd just gone through a few minutes ago, collapsed even more.
Bob lost communication with John Henry in mid sentence. They were cut off.
They all rushed up to the edge of the splintered wood and looked down into the void.
Cam was down about twelve feet. She hung onto the side of the shaft. There was a metal protrusion. It once held part of a hoist.
"I'm OK." Cam said.
Gail looked back at Jim.
"Hold my feet and lower me down." Gail said.
Jim lay down and Gail was lowered into the shaft by him. Bob was in back of Jim and held him.
"I need to go lower." Gail said.
Bob let Jim move forward.
Cam was able to pull herself up some and reach Gail's hand.
"I have her." Gail said.
Jim pulled up on Gail, as Bob pulled Jim back. Gail came back over the side followed by Cam.
"Thanks." Cam said. "It was a close one."
The team made sure they still carried all their gear and moved on towards the sloped shaft to go down to Level Three.
Gail was concerned about what would have happened if Cam hadn't got hung up on the metal protrusion.
"How far down did the shaft go?" Gail asked.
Cam was unable to make an accurate determination.
"I don't know." Cam said. "There was water, or some other liquid, at the bottom. I heard things splash after I grabbed onto the side. It took a few seconds."
Cam led the team down to Level Three. They were no longer in communication with anyone. She peered around the corner of the sloped shaft. Level Three ran in a slightly different direction than Level One and Level Two. It was incorrect on the diagram they received. It showed them in alignment.
"This will change our direction." Bob said.
Cam understood now why the shaft she'd fell down didn't intersect with this level.
"Let's go." Cam said.
There was a more noticeable vibration and thud sound. Dust drifted down from the top of the passageway. The explosion noise was louder.
There were numerous branches off of the passageway on both sides. They started to check them out. None of them went anywhere, even if some connected with each other.
Jim went over to one where he detected some movement in the air.
"This is the ventilation shaft." Jim said.
They all came over to look. There was dust being sucked down from above.
"It looks like there was a further collapse above us." Cam said.
She placed another repeater and reestablished communications with John Henry again. They filled him in on everything which happened and the current passageway layout. They really didn't want to get trapped down there at this point.
John Henry was glad he was able to contact the team again.
"I'm updating the schematic of the system." John Henry said.
Summer did as well.
"I don't think they can go back the way they came, no matter what at this point." Summer said. "It sounds like only Cam can fit in the air shaft with the repeaters."
Based on the diagram, they should be able to enter the active part of the mine from Level Three.
"You need to be aware you may run into Grays soon." John Henry said.
Summer studied some more of the diagram and some written notes about some of the finds which were made.
"I think there will be another shaft in the floor of the passageway right before you encounter the blocked off part." Summer said.
Cam moved even more carefully after the experience with the collapsed section she'd fallen in. She didn't know how far she would have fallen if she hadn't grabbed the metal protrusion.
"I'll be on the lookout for it." Cam said. "I don't want to do the same thing again."
They moved further along.
"I can see some light filtering through up ahead." Cam said.
The air was thick with dust. The light showed the air was heavy with it.
Cam took a step and felt the ground under her foot move.
"I'm at the covered shaft." Cam said. "It is fifty feet from where the light is filtering through at."
She moved to the extreme side and checked there. There was some play still. She moved back to the other side. It seemed solid. They passed by the spot and reached a barrier. It was made of wood.
Bob and Jim carefully worked on one board until it was loose enough to move. More light flooded in. They were all covered from head to toe with dust. They looked like the walls of the mine. They looked like 'dirt people' or 'rock people'. They were extremely filthy.
There was another jolt and vibration. The explosion sound was much louder now.
Bob moved the board some more. There was a steel beam behind it. It blocked their path forward.
"Let's try the other side." Jim said.
Cam wanted to try something. She didn't want anyone to notice what they were doing and face a group of firearms when they made an opening.
"Hold on." Cam said. "Let me stick my body cam out and see what you can on your phones."
John Henry made the connections for them.
Cam stuck her hand out with the cam and they looked down the passageway. They were at a 'tee' connection into the system. The passageway ran both left and right.
They didn't spot anyone. It looked like they could get out of the other side. Bob and Jim moved over there and pulled two boards loose. Cam kept watch with her body cam. Gail monitored everything on her phone.
Bob and Jim removed a third board. There was enough room for them to come out now. Bob went out first. He was followed by Jim. Gail was right behind them. Cam brought up the rear.
Gail moved off to the left and Cam moved off to the right. Bob and Jim secured the boards they'd removed. The walls of this passageway were braced with steel and the wood on the sides matched the rest. There was no indication the 'tee' passageway was even there.
Gail moved back to where the others were. Cam was still up ahead on the right side.
"I hear someone coming." Gail said.
The team looked around for a place to conceal themselves. There wasn't one. They might need to do their first termination. It appeared the recon was about to go hot. It was something which happened more often than not.
Savannah sat at the kitchen counter on a bar stool. She was naked. She watched Cameron take some things out of the refrigerator. She took in her perfect naked form. She got up and went over to join her. She didn't want Cameron to need to wait on her. It wasn't how she wanted to be treated or even seem like it.
"Let me help you." Savannah said. "I just need a small snack."
Cameron watched her walk around the kitchen counter into the kitchen. She thought Savannah looked beautiful.
They both wished they looked like each other.
Cameron could see all the bruises and scrapes on Savannah now clearly. It made her feel terrible. She felt a glitch impulse and remembered what Savannah told her. Savannah said not to 'see' the damage. She filtered it out. She didn't 'see' the bruises and scrapes on Savannah's body like she'd asked her not to. Savannah looked even more beautiful now to her.
She thought about taking Hanna's or Anna's chassis from them. She decided she would take Anna's and leave the age regression as it was. She saw how much attention it drew. It would give her a further advantage in infiltration. She would look like a slightly younger version of Savannah. She knew John would like her in Anna's chassis. She decided not to say anything to Savannah about it. She would surprise her when they got back. She hoped Anna wouldn't be a problem. Anna's chassis was untouched by anyone. She planned to break it in with Savannah first and then with John.
"…over there." Savannah said.
Cameron blinked and looked around. She must have daydreamed a little. She quickly replayed her files.
"OK." Cameron said. "I'll put it over there."
Savannah could tell Cameron drifted off a little. She would watch her and see if there were any other signs. She figured Cameron probably thought of a thousand times more things than she thought about right now and there were a million thoughts running through her mind. It was still hard for her to believe it was all happening. No. It already happened. She'd delivered herself to Cameron as her first female. She'd also been Cameron's first female for everything else too.
Cameron wanted to make something for Savannah. Now when she looked at her, she wanted to kiss and touch her.
Savannah moved closer to Cameron. She wanted to kiss her. It was a compulsion. They looked at each other and slowly leaned in and gave each other a tender kiss. She looked at the food items Cameron took out. She didn't want to make a big deal about it. She decided to keep it simple. She put everything back and ate a granola bar.
"A small snack is all I need." Savannah said.
She drank a few sips of cranberry juice to wash it down.
Cameron wanted Savannah to keep her nutrition up.
"Are you sure?" Cameron asked.
Savannah rinsed her mouth, and the glass, out with water. There were other things on her mind than food.
"It's time for dessert." Savannah said.
Cameron scooped Savannah up in her arms again. They kissed some more. She headed straight for the master bedroom.
"We'll go to a bigger room. There is a restroom close by for you if you need it." Cameron whispered in Savannah's ear.
Cameron set Savannah down once they were next to the king size bed. Savannah opened the covers up. Cameron turned on the gas fireplace to a low setting. She made sure the drapes were open. They could see the moon and its reflection on Lake Tahoe.
Savannah wondered why Cameron started the fireplace. It wasn't very cold out right now. They'd just been outside naked earlier. Maybe it would cool down as the night progressed. She thought it was probably for the 'atmosphere' of the setting. It was a nice touch.
"It looks romantic." Savannah said.
Cameron smiled and picked Savannah up again and laid her on the bed. She moved over the top of Savannah. They looked into each other's eyes as the moon lit the room on one side and the fireplace did on the other.
"I love you." They both softly said at the same time.
They kissed and soon were in a deep love sharing session.
"You might have to fly tomorrow." Savannah said between kisses.
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"Why?" Cameron asked.
Savannah smiled and kissed her again.
"I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight." Savannah said. "I want to share with you."
Cameron felt elated.
The girls shared their love all night long….
The shared love was beautiful.
Leticia wanted to do something exciting before they went back. The 'special girls' seemed to have plenty to offer in that regard. Sheila seemed like she was ready for action of any type at any time.
Mary and Laura were a little tipsy but not drunk. It was clear their inhibitions were way down.
"I want to see some action." Leticia said.
Sheila thought she was doing it already in the rear seat. She lifted her head and looked at Leticia.
"Do you want me to kill some more people?" Sheila asked.
Leticia giggled. She was a little tipsy too.
"Is it what you do?" Leticia asked.
Sheila killed plenty of people. They'd all deserved to die.
"It is." Sheila said. "I have a license to kill."
Mary and Laura were kissing.
"Are you like 007?" Mary asked. "He has a license to kill too."
Sheila lifted her head from Leticia again.
"I'm 0069." Sheila said.
The girls all laughed.
Cammy could see no one paid much attention to where she was headed except Ally.
Ally knew Cammy was headed for the Resistance base. She was sure it was a really bad idea.
John finished up with Jesse and Young Jesse. The girls were done with each other for now. He was spent as well. They all headed for the shower at this point. It was a tight fit for the three of them.
There was a lot of touching and laughing as they washed.
It was clear they were all in love at this point beyond question. They all spent a lot of time looking into each other's eyes and silently communicated.
They finished up and playfully dried each other off. They were back in the bedroom.
Jesse had arrived naked earlier.
John wanted to make sure everyone wore something when they left.
"There is a robe for each of you in the closet." John said.
Young Jesse went over and opened the closet door. She saw the name on one and handed it to Jesse. She saw another one with her name on it as well. She also saw one for Savannah in the far corner. She felt a twinge of guilt. She knew it was supposed to be Savannah in there with John, not her or the other girls.
She closed the closet door and didn't say anything about it. She didn't know there was one for Young Allison concealed under Savannah's robe. She probably would have felt guiltier if she did. She wondered what else tonight had to offer. She figured there needed to be some type of baseline.
"Is Cameron coming back tonight?" Young Jesse asked.
John really didn't know. Right now he really didn't care either.
"I'm not sure." John said.
Jesse would like to stay the whole night if Cameron was going to be away. She knew one of the other girls might want to make another visit before the night was done. She didn't want to seem selfish. She wanted to show John she loved him.
John walked them to the door and shared a kiss with each of them and watched them share a kiss with each other as well.
Jesse wanted a little more. She didn't want to overstep either. She did want to make her desire clear.
"We'll let you rest for now." Jesse said. "If Cameron isn't back soon don't be surprised if I come back and join you."
Young Jesse looked at Jesse.
"It might be me too." Young Jesse said. "Don't forget about Claire, Vanna and Allison."
John was ready for more. He didn't want to be seen as playing favorites. He didn't want the choice to be his. He certainly didn't want any hard feelings if someone felt they were passed over. He was ready for all of them. All of them were good, some of them were just better.
"I'll let you, or one of the others, surprise me." John said.
John should have remembered Cameron didn't like surprises.
He was about to have a few more surprises before the night was over.
CamNet's Terminator sent her all of the information on the telephones he'd acquired from the thugs. She quickly processed everything. She provided him with a new list of targets. He inquired if there was any Resistance operation he could assist with. He was informed there was currently a reconnaissance mission in an old mine. Everything was under control. Any other Resistance operations were currently just surveillance. Something could always develop.
He watched the drone footage to see where the female he'd freed went with the van. She'd done exactly as he'd told her so far. She drove approximately nine miles away and left the van on a side street. He hoped she left the keys in the ignition. She left the window down like he told her to do. The goal was for one of the local gangs to find the van and steal it. When the Syndicate tracked it down, it should be in the hands of a gang member. There would be some type of confrontation over it. It would result in several less future Scavengers most likely.
The female went back to the main street and got on a city bus. He'd specifically given her several dollar bills so she could board a bus. She didn't go to the police. It appeared she wanted to keep the stacks of cash. It seemed to be what all of the females wanted once they were freed from their previous servitude. They all wanted to keep the cash. He understood the lifestyle many of them lived was rather crude and questionable. All of the females were short on cash. It was why they were in whatever perilous circumstances they were in when they were apprehended.
The next location he was to visit was involved in the drug trade. They were drugs which specifically came across the southern border. With the current administration, there was no border. The drugs, along with every other type of crime, easily came across the border and were spread throughout the border states. There were more drugs than ever shipped around the country.
It made him wonder what the cost was in the lives of the citizens of the nation. It was surely in the hundreds, if not thousands, every week. He only thought about the drug addiction and overdose incidents. He didn't account for any of the other crimes perpetrated by the gangs which spread from south of the border.
Not all of them were from the border country either. Many of them came right out of Central America. Some of them were even from South America. All of the activity was unchecked. The majority of the drug related individuals, who would survived Judgment Day, would end up as Scavengers. They would still continue to prey upon other fellow human beings. Skynet may be responsible for the initial action and the billions of deaths which followed, fellow human beings were responsible for many of the deaths afterwards.
The activity he currently was directed to terminate operated out of an old strip mall. It had been burnt in one of the local riots, justified as 'protests', when the inhabitants of the community demanded the police be defunded and abolished. He really wondered why the people couldn't figure out what would happen if there was no authority at all. It would simply turn into Scavenger type rule. It almost was anyway.
There was a specialized vehicle being used as a local drug distribution tool. It had been obtained during the robbery of one of the local banks. The files CamNet sent him indicated the bank was now closed because of the frequent robberies and the threats on the employees. It was another service denied to the community by a few bad apples. All of the drug stores and department stores closed as well. Most of those buildings were now inhabited by gangs or the homeless.
The shoplifting spree which followed the reign of a new district attorney turned all local businesses into a free for all. Anyone could enter a store, and walk out with fifteen hundred dollars worth of merchandise. There was nothing anyone could do to stop them. The police wouldn't even respond under the new directives. The district attorney wouldn't prosecute anyone arrested. Since there was no bail necessary anymore for committing a crime, the perpetrators were back on the street before the police could even complete their report. They usually already committed more crimes during the time period.
He parked a few blocks away from the target zone. He'd stopped before he arrived and had everything ready he wanted to use. He currently wore a dark windbreaker over his vest. He carried four Thermite grenades and plenty of spare magazines for his silenced M9. He didn't take a long gun with him. He took something else with him. There was a surveillance camera which could watch his SUV. One are the drones on patrol would frequently pass over the location. If anyone approached the SUV they would be given a dose of 'metal hail'.
The Terminator neared the location. A drone image showed the specialized vehicle was about to return to the target location.

Temporal Mission:
Past Timeline:
November 25 1963
XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Cameron and Allison started up the side of the hill to reach Stony Point. They left the railroad tracks behind.
Young Allison previously expected more of a run, than a hike or a climb. She thought it was intentional. It was always good to be faced with unexpected circumstances and need to deal with them. It was why she'd been able to respond in Dallas when she needed to. She was quick to adapt to her surroundings. As long as she was the master of them, she was the one in control.
There were a few trails through the brush as they started up towards the top of Stony Point. She was aware in a combat situation, she would need to avoid trails whenever possible. They could be mined or booby trapped in a number of different ways. Right now she wanted to beat the sunrise. It was going to take some effort on her part her make it.
"I've actually been to the top of Stony Point twice before." Young Allison said. "One thing I can tell you from then, compared to now, is there have been a lot fewer people on this hill during this time period than there have been in the future."
Young Allison noted there were a lot fewer names scratched into the sandstone rocks. Most of them were just initials. Some of them had a heart around two of them. In her time period, it was much different. There was a lot of spray paint, even on the rocks. The locals tried to prevent it from happening, but they were unable to do so. The authorities, whether it was the Parks Department police, or the city police, or the Sheriff's Department, didn't respond to any of the incidents when they were reported. Since the perpetrators would face no punishment, there was no need to arrest them. There was no bail required after a crime was committed if a perpetrator was arrested. It was viewed as a wasted endeavor by the police. They could stay in the local Starsucks or donut shop.
From what she'd viewed of the different groups of police in recent years, it appeared many of them would be gang members if they weren't on the police force. There was a pretty good chance they were actually both. There'd always been 'eyes' in every police force over the years. Someone was always on the take.
There'd even been some locations, such as 'Tenderloin' in San Francisco, which were named for the rampant corruption. With all of the money the police raked in through bribes, they were able to afford tenderloin steaks for themselves on a daily basis. In most of those locations, any police activity was on behalf of the criminals who paid the largest bribes. It always paid to go with the winner.
There was a good view of the San Fernando Valley as she climbed the eastern and northern side of the hill. It was where the trails were at. The southern and western sides of Stony Point were almost perpendicular. Some people would later practice mountain climbing on them. They did a lot of damage to the rock face with their anchoring devices.
Young Allison was winded when she reached the top of the hill. There was only one rock left to climb. It was the signature rock on the hill. It was The Stony Point outcropping of the Chatsworth Formation of the Simi Hills.
Cameron followed behind Young Allison. She was there in case Young Allison were to slip or fall. Neither one of those events occurred. She also wanted Young Allison to find her own path. She could see Young Allison took numerous shortcuts and went up the sides of rocks which could be climbed instead of following the trail. It saved her a lot of time. She would recommend they take the trail when they went down. There was no need to push it when they didn't need to. It was something Savannah often reminded her about. Savannah also reminded Young Allison about the same thing.
Savannah reminded her on more than one occasion about her construction. Even if she was durable, she wasn't indestructible. She'd suffered a lot of damage combating different Skynet groups over the years. She felt lucky to have survived all of them. She also believed her skill and experience played a major role. She was aware there was no substitute for experience.
There was only the large rock at the top of the hill left to climb.
"Would you like a boost?" Cameron asked.
Young Allison looked back to the eastern horizon. The sun would appear very soon.
"I can hack it." Young Allison said.
There were enough depressions, and a few cracks, she could use for foot and hand holds. It only took her just over a minute to reach the top of the rock at the top of the hill. She extended her arms over her head at a slight angle as she waited for the sunrise.
"I'm the King of the world." Young Allison said loudly.
Cameron tilted her head slightly.
"You should be Queen of the world." Cameron said.
Young Allison glanced back at Cameron. She'd watched how effortlessly Cameron made the final climb. It took her less than half the time.
"I referred to a movie I saw once." Young Allison said.
Cameron quickly referenced the movie. She noted there were some gratuitous sex scenes in it. She was aware sex sold in movies and television programs. She wasn't sure where the dividing line was any longer between the subscription channels' movies, television shows, and soft core porn. It seems all they lacked was the close ups of hardcore porn.
It reminded her no two female bodies were the same in any detail whatsoever. Each person was as different in every area as their face was. There were a lot of combinations and variations out there. She'd viewed millions of images on the internet over the years. What amazed her the most was, there was no shortage of new images and people who apparently wanted to be viewed in such a manner.
Only the Terminators based on someone's specific DNA were a hundred percent identical.
She thought about the movie Young Allison referenced.
"It was a troubling movie in several respects." Cameron said. "It will be sunrise in twelve seconds."
Young Allison was ready. She was glad she was able to beat it. She didn't know what their goal was when they'd started out. If she specifically would have been headed to Stony Point on her own, she would have left earlier so she wouldn't have needed to hurry as much.
Young Allison watched the sun appear over the horizon. She knew it was actually the earth's rotation which made it appear the sun rose. She could take some solace in the fact the same scene would be repeated every day right up to her time period. World War Three hadn't occurred, nor had Skynet been able to take over.
"Some things change." Young Allison said. "Some things don't."
Young Allison watched the sun for a couple of minutes. She took a good look around at everything she could see from her location. She looked up to the north. She could clearly see the Fire Control Center on the top of Oat Mountain. She could spot where the Nike Missile Launch Site was halfway up the hill.
When she looked to the west, she could see Santa Susana Pass Road appear and disappear several times as it made its way through the pass. A little to the south of the road, she could see the railroad tracks as they exited the hill they were on above Tunnel 28, go up a grade, make a sharp turn to the south, and go up a much steeper grade before the tracks turned in a southwesterly direction into the eastern portal of Tunnel 27. She figured they'd be there soon enough. She didn't know when.
She could see there was something missing from her time period as she looked at where Santa Susana Pass Road started and Topanga Canyon Boulevard ended just south of Stony Point.
"I can see Topanga doesn't go all the way up to where the 118 Freeway will be yet." Young Allison said. "I know it's more than a decade away.
She looked north along the future route and spotted a road which went around the outside of a hill.
Cameron spotted what Young Alison viewed.
"The curvy street you see there now is called Mayan Drive." Cameron said. "The section on the east side of where Topanga will be put through is still there. It's in poor condition. It's been out of use for almost half a century. It's not used for anything since it dead ends up against the future embankment."
Cameron pointed to Santa Susana Pass Road just past where it crossed over the western portal of Tunnel 28.
"You can see a structure over the road off to the right." Cameron said. "It's the Twin Lakes Park Gate, sometimes referred to as the Mayan Gate. It was an overly ambitious project in the mid Twenties. There were actually two lakes there. One was created by a dam built across Browns Creek right where DeSoto ends and Browns Canyon Road starts. It was obscured for years until a wildfire burnt away all the trees and brush in front of it. It actually silted up in the Forties."
Young Allison had seen the location before. There were a number of trees growing in back of the dam face since everything was level with the top of it.
"You've taken me to all these locations before when I was younger." Young Allison said. "Did you know back then we were going to be here now?"
Cameron wasn't sure exactly what she knew, and when she knew it, at times. She believed she'd lived her life over and done the same things with variations several times. She was sure after John dies, she goes back and replaces herself in 1997 to do everything over again. She keeps no record of what happened in the hopes things will play out differently the next time. She never knows if it does or not. She doesn't know if each time creates a new timeline or not. It would explain more than a few things if it did.
"I don't know." Cameron said. "The second dam is still there as well. It is located in Devil's Canyon. It was formed by Devil's Creek. It was called Raymond Lake. The floodgates were opened in the late forties and the water was drained. The top of the dam serves as a road to dwellings on the other side during the time we're in now. A half century from now, two massive bridges will be built over Devil's Canyon and homes will be built where Twin Lakes Park was originally conceived to be."
Young Alison looked forward to exploring the area.
"All of it's on the east side of the Iverson Movie Ranch." Young Allison said.
Cameron thought about how the Iverson Movie Ranch was bisected by the 118 Freeway when it was constructed. The large open area for filming all types of movies was forever destroyed in its vastness. There was actually a bridge which went over the 118 Freeway for a road called Movie Lane. It's still there, but not in use. It would only be used by the fire department at this point in time if necessary.
"We'll explore each of the movie ranches in time." Cameron said. "We'll try to visit them when there's filming going on. You might be able to spot some of the actors."
Young Allison was thrilled with the idea. She looked up some of the movies and television shows filmed there. She was aware there were many other movies and TV shows before the time they were to visit.
"I saw there were episodes of Gunsmoke, Wagon Train, Bonanza, Rawhide, The Rifleman, Wild Wild West, Wanted: Dead Or Alive, and a non-western, The Fugitive, filmed there." Young Allison said. "There were a lot of other TV shows which only filmed part of an episode at the different locations."
Cameron was aware some of the TV shows mentioned, already ceased production or hadn't started yet.
"The Rifleman finished filming earlier this year. Wanted: Dead or Alive ceased production a couple of years ago." Cameron said. "Wild Wild West won't start filming for just over another year. Only a few episodes of each of those programs were actually shot in the different movie ranches around the area. Most of the filming happened on sound stages or studio property. Most of the time when they're close to the buildings, it's actually a sound stage in any of the movies or TV programs."
Cameron wanted to move on to the next location. Time was a factor.
Small Snack
Any emotional dam can break
It all starts with a small crack
It doesn't too take long
Before the train is off the track
On the journey there
Expect to take some flak
Always stay alert and watch out
For a knife in the back
Sometimes it takes longer
To realize it's an attack
It can fall apart fast
As it all fades to black
It seems another's shortcomings
Are about what they lack
The more extreme they become
The more they seem like a quack
Always think it through
Don't allow too much slack
It's the easiest way
To become a small snack
Nobody
