Chapter 1539

Rhythm Of Love

Jesse was in the Command Center with John Henry and Summer. She was worried about Young Jesse being out on a mission. She would have gone with her if she'd known.

John Henry followed the two vehicles of Grays which came to check on the mine with two drones. There were other drones out on patrol. They searched for any other aircraft like HK drones or helicopters. They made sure none hugged the deck like the other two helicopters the team at the mine encountered.

"They're still trying to contact their base." John Henry said.

Jesse thought they should let them make a connection so John Henry could track where the call went.

"It's a good idea, Jesse." Summer said.

Jesse quickly looked at Summer.

John Henry looked over.

"What is it?" John Henry asked.

Summer nodded at Jesse.

"Let them make the connection for one second to see where it goes and then cut it off again." Jesse said.

Summer liked the idea.

"We can deal with the other two vehicles once we find a secluded spot and know where their base is." Summer said.

Jesse wondered if it was her idea, or one Summer made her think. She also wondered about what else Summer picked up when she'd checked her out in the lab. It was something she did with every female. Summer answered the question she didn't ask. She'd only thought of it.

"Don't worry about it." Summer said. "Everyone does the same thing with everyone else. I do too. It's no big deal."

Jesse still felt a little embarrassed. She wanted to change the subject.

"Does the Blackhawk still have drone protection?" Jesse asked.

John Henry knew the answer but he double checked anyway.

"'Coltan Overcast' and 'Cherry Bomb' are with the Blackhawk." John Henry said. "They will stay with it for the duration of the operation."

Jesse heard about some drones with names during the briefing. They always watched over Savannah and Young Allison. It was a pretty good reputation as far as she was concerned.

"Jesse sounds protected." Jesse said. "She's protected along with the rest of the team, at least for now."

Jesse was aware operations could go in any direction, at any point in time.

Young Jesse was the pilot of the Blackhawk. She loitered well away from the two vehicles the drones tracked. John Henry kept them twenty miles away. They could be there in minutes if they needed to. It was a precaution just in case the Grays did have local radar or a detection device of some type. It could be as simple as an LP here or there.

She liked the plan to identify the headquarters of the Grays first. They could take out the two vehicles before they arrived back at their base. It would make each of the conquests easier. They wouldn't have reinforcement or be able to provide mutual support.

Young Allison thought maybe they could have Young Jesse land and fuel up at one of the local airports. CamNet could make all the arrangements. Money seemed to make people very pliable. They would do things they would never do with a smile on their face, if there was enough money.

She ran her plan by Anna.

Anna received word as to what Jesse suggested about trying to find the Gray's base of operations before the vehicles arrived.

"It sounds like a good plan too." Young Allison said. "It could speed things up."

Anna thought it would be safer for Young Jesse as well.

"The drones should be able to do most of the 'talking' once things are identified." Anna said.

John Henry allowed one of the Gray's phones to get a signal.

"Hey!" The first Gray said. "I got some bars."

The other Grays in the vehicle with him checked. Their phones were all still dead.

"Call in and give them our report." The second Gray said.

The first Gray didn't think they had any useful information.

"What am I supposed to report?" The first Gray asked.

The second Gray felt it should be the facts.

"Let them know everything is destroyed. At least one of the helicopters was down. There were no survivors apparent." The second Gray said. "Here, give it to me."

The second Gray took the phone from the first Gray.

The third Gray felt there was still a big unanswered question.

"Was it an attack or not?" The third Gray asked.

The first Gray specifically looked for signs of an attack.

"We didn't find any shell casings." The first Gray said.

The third Gray wasn't sure it was an indicator to go by.

"Maybe someone picked them up." The third Gray said.

The first Gray laughed.

"Who would do that?" The first Gray asked.

The third Gray could think of something very specific.

"Metal…." The third Gray said.

The smile disappeared from the first Gray's face. If there were Terminators involved, they could be operatives of a different version of Skynet. They might be able to track the call.

The second Gray was worried now as well. There were a lot of unanswered questions.

"It could be true." The second Gray said. "I don't think we should call."

He handed the phone back to the first Gray.

The driver of the vehicle hadn't said much so far. He was just following the orders of the others.

"Why wouldn't we?" The driver asked. "They should know what's happening as soon as possible."

The second Gray worried more as he thought about it.

"Maybe there's more to all of this than we know." The second Gray said. "Everything is a little too neat for me."

The driver looked over.

"Are we still going to go back to the base?" The driver asked.

The second Gray didn't want things to get away from them.

"No." The second Gray said. "We have a contingency plan for this. Stop the car."

The first car pulled over. The second one did too. The second Gray ran back and spoke with the group in the second car. He soon returned back to his vehicle.

"What did they say?" The driver asked.

"They all agreed with Teddy's assumption." The second Gray said.

The third Gray, Teddy, didn't want to take the rap if it was nothing.

"It was just an idea I threw out there." The third Gray said.

The second Gray wanted to take precautions.

"With all those men down, and probably dead, it seems sound." The second Gray said. "You can head for the pre-arranged ambush site."

The driver watched as the second car behind him turned off and headed in a different direction.

The Grays all checked their weapons.

It looked like there was trouble ahead for them.

Steve and Tom as well as Dan and Frank would go back on the Executive Transport 727 with the rest of the team. Two miles out from the airport, they both pulled ahead of Camille's and Cammy's SUVs. They would be on board and up in the front end of the jet with Ned and Wes. The jet was serviced and ready to go.

Steve waited at the top of the airstair to make sure the girls got on board without a problem. He saw the first SUV arrive. He moved inside as the girls started over.

Minutes ago:

Camille let Cammy's SUV go ahead of her. She would bring up the rear. It would give John better protection if they followed.

Cammy pulled up and parked next to the other two SUVs already there. They were off to the side of the executive transport.

Leticia took a moment to look at their aircraft.

"It's a really big plane." Leticia said. "I mean for a private jet."

Sheila looked at it. The airstair was down. She noticed Steve at the top of it.

"It is." Sheila said. "It's like the ultimate party bus."

Leticia moved close to Sheila. She hoped for a little more action.

"Can I see your sister later on?" Leticia asked. "I want to be with both of you together."

Sheila wondered which 'sister'.

"Do you mean my younger sister?" Sheila asked.

Leticia smiled.

"Stephany would be great too." Leticia said. "I meant the one with the jugs. She looks identical to you otherwise."

Sheila would like it too. Maybe she could swing a 'four way' with Jesse, Young Jesse and Leticia.

"Those really are 'jugs'." Sheila said. "They're nursing breasts."

Leticia wondered about it.

"One version of 'Ann' had nursing breasts too." Leticia said. "I'm not sure what her real name is. I know both of them are human if they can have children."

Sheila didn't want to get into it. The real problem was, they weren't able to have children on their own. They were able to nurse because of hormone treatments. John and Cammy already started up the airstair. She waited with Leticia on the tarmac.

"They're human and so is Stephany." Sheila said. "The girls who are nursing can't have children. They help take care of an infant whose mother can't nurse much. It's all a really long and complicated story. I've told you more than I should have about all it and me."

Leticia thought Sheila told her because she loved her. She wanted to make sure.

"You won't have to kill me later on will you?" Leticia asked.

Sheila thought about it a few times already.

"I won't." Sheila said. "I'll protect you whenever I'm around."

Leticia wanted Sheila to know she'd done everything she wanted her to do. She hadn't thought things would get as gruesome as they did on several occasions.

"I'm a little worried about some things I did earlier." Leticia said. "I did everything you asked. I'm part of the team by default now."

Sheila knew it was way more complex than being involved in a few terminations.

"It's a small aspect of what we really need to do." Sheila said. "Those are all soft targets."

Leticia knew most of those 'soft targets' carried guns or knives. They didn't seem like soft targets to her.

"You're talking about more robots or cyborgs and the rogue computer." Leticia said. "We all know a little about it."

Sheila didn't want the girls exposed to the dangers of the future. Leticia would probably join them. She didn't know if Mary and Laura would. Ally didn't have a human lover like she'd always wanted. She could pick Mary or Laura or both of them. Leticia belonged to her. She would share though. Cammy was probably going to need another full time lover if Cameron claimed Savannah. There was a pretty good chance of it after tonight.

"It's deadly business." Sheila said. "Everything you saw so far is nothing like it at all. What you witnessed so far is more like a Sunday picnic."

Leticia watched the other SUV pull up. The other girls started to get out.

"Is it because of the future?" Leticia asked. "Is it where you're all from?"

Sheila believed Leticia would make a good interrogator. She seemed to have a way to get answers out of her which she really didn't want to say, but felt she needed to.

"Tony and Stephany aren't." Sheila said. "Most of the group is. It's a long story. A lot of people have died along the way. It's all much worse than you can imagine. Terrible things happened to the girls in the future."

Leticia still wanted to know one more thing.

"What's Tony's real name?" Leticia asked.

Sheila thought it was up to John. She was convinced Leticia would know before the night was over. Actually she was sure Leticia would know before the flight was over.

"I'm pretty sure once you kiss him and show him your rings, he'll be talkative, especially when he sees more." Sheila said. "You put both of those in his face and he'll tell you."

Sheila and Leticia went up the airstair.

"I want him to have me…." Leticia said.

Ally and Mary were at the bottom of the airstair. Hanna and Laura were right behind them. Camille brought up the rear.

Minutes ago:

Cammy took John straight to the Master Suite. She opened the door for him. The room was freshly made up.

"Here you go." Cammy said.

John walked in.

He was still jazzed at what Cammy and Leticia did for him on the streetcar. He knew he was going to go all the way with Leticia soon. He hoped it would be with Cammy too. He really wanted to compare Cammy and Camille. Camille was almost identical to Cameron on their first time. He looked back out into the aisle to make sure no one was there.

"I really enjoyed what you did earlier." John said.

Cammy faced him. She wanted to ask him who was 'better', Leticia or her. She moved forward and kissed him instead. Maybe she didn't want to know. Even if the end result was the same, the journey there wasn't.

"I'll share everything with you, John." Cammy said. "I want you."

She felt their coupling was long overdue. They'd been at the edge more than once. There was no holding back this time. She was going to go all the way no matter what. She wanted to make sure Cameron knew she was with John more than anything.

"We've been close a few times." John said.

Cammy placed John's hands on her breasts through her top.

"Tonight is the night." Cammy said. "All of this belongs to you. Even if it's the same, it's different. It's me. I'm not her."

She looked into John's eyes and kissed him again. She held the kiss. It was a kiss of love, not wild sex.

John could see the look of love in her eyes. She really was 'Cameron', even if she was 'out of date'.

There was some noise in the hall.

Sheila let Leticia off at the door of the Master Suite. Cammy broke the kiss and smiled at Leticia. She wanted to make sure there was time for John and her to spend together.

"He's all yours for thirty minutes." Cammy said.

Cammy gave Leticia a kiss and joined Sheila in the hall. Sheila looked inside and smiled. She closed the door.

"Won't they have to buckle up for the take off?" Cammy asked.

Sheila looked up towards the cockpit. She didn't see the need to rush anything.

"Who says when we need to take off?" Sheila asked. "I want to be in there too after you. Besides, the sofa in there has seat belts."

Cammy smiled. John was a lucky man. He was about to add two more 'first times' to his belt. Sheila confirmed Camille was with John for another 'first time'.

CamNet sent a private message to Cammy and informed her if they were going to be 'out' for more than three more hours, Tom would have a special drink ready for John.

The rest of the girl's boarded the plane. Camille put the airstair up and secured the rear fuselage door. The plane was ready for takeoff. She expected the engines to start but it didn't happen.

Mary went into the Executive Suite with Ally. She waited and pulled Camille inside when she passed by.

"Will you join us?" Mary asked.

Camille looked back at the Master Suite. She was pretty sure at this point her 'one time' was done. There were too many others who wanted a 'piece of the action'. The Metal girls were all hungry for their 'first time' and probably 'only time' with John.

"Sure." Camille said. "Do you want Cammy too?"

Mary looked at Ally, they'd only discussed a 'three way'. She was up to a 'four way' with the three girls which almost looked the same. Two of them were identical in appearance. Physically, all three of their bodies were identical. She wanted to compare them side by side by side. She wanted everyone to have a choice. She felt most of the times she'd been with a male, she was 'pressured' into it.

"I'm in, but it's up to Ally." Mary said.

Ally didn't see why there couldn't be two of 'Cameron' to work on her.

"A four way it is." Ally said.

Cammy hurried back and joined them. She could better hear what John and Leticia did this way too.

"A 'four way' is my way." Cammy said and shut the door.

Hanna and Laura saw everyone was paired off now except for Sheila.

Laura really thought Sheila would join Leticia and 'Tony'. She wanted to keep the door open for Sheila.

"We have room for one more." Laura said.

Sheila smiled. She anticipated her one time with John after he was done with Leticia and Cammy. She thought it was better to go last. John was sure to last longer. It would benefit her the most.

"It will get me warmed up for later on." Sheila said.

Sheila looked forward to servicing Leticia and Cammy after they were with John. He would need some refractory time after Cammy anyway.

It looked like Ally and Hanna were out on this trip for their 'one time' with John. If Cameron came back before they did, they were probably out of luck altogether.

Cameron held Savannah in her arms. Their naked bodies were close together. She'd finally found what she'd 'searched' for. She knew it was true love, even if it was a female lover. She knew she was a machine. Not a real person. It wasn't just any male or female either. It was the person she wanted above all the others. It was Savannah. It was an individual who loved her because she was a scary robot from the future. It was a long distance from the way she was first treated by the humans she'd associated with when she'd first arrived in this timeline. It still bothered her when she thought about it. Not only did they treat her rudely, they were mean about it as well.

She was very pleased with everything Savannah did for her and taught her. Savannah was very experienced with a female. She knew just what to do and when. John wasn't always good with the timing and didn't do some things as long as he needed too for her benefit. She'd read in Cosmo it was quite common among males. Savannah did everything and pushed her. Before, John would have stopped. It made everything better.

Savannah asked her to block out the current imperfections on her body and only 'see' her as how she looked before when they'd gone to the pool. She really liked how Savannah looked. She was pleased to be in Hanna's chassis when she'd borrowed it. She really wanted Anna's chassis now. She would work out some kind of a trade with her for a few weeks or so, to start with. She would need to deal with Young Allison about it first. Young Allison was very protective of Anna.

Cameron looked out the large picture window at Lake Tahoe and the reflection of the moon on the water. The night sky was full of stars. They were very bright at almost seven thousand feet in elevation.

She looked down. Savannah's eyes were wide open and full of love. Savannah didn't need to speak. Her eyes and actions said it all for her. She'd experienced the physical manifestation of real emotional love. It was love so deep she could 'feel' it herself. It was beautiful.

Cameron wondered if Savannah was going to touch her again and love her some more. Maybe this was how Savannah wanted to express her love. It was just by holding her. It was beautiful to feel Savannah's warmth and feel her heart beat. It was the rhythm of love.

Maybe it was her who wanted more. She was captivated with Savannah's pigmentation. The fact everything was the same with no variation excited her. She'd looked on the internet and found there were very few females who were the same in all places to match Savannah.

Cameron touched Savannah's cheek and beautiful red hair.

"I don't ever want this moment to end." Cameron whispered.

Savannah didn't want Cameron to become obsessed. Love was more than just about a person's body, or areas of their body.

"This is only one moment." Savannah whispered. "There will be thousands more like it. Each one will be different in some regard. Each will be as beautiful as the last. They will get better over time as long as you remember it's about the love and not about the sex. Sex is only a small part of it. It's part of the journey, it's not the goal."

Cameron hugged Savannah a little tighter. She spoke such words of wisdom.

It touched her deeply to remember every time Savannah was always there for her. Even when everyone else wrote her off, Savannah never did. It was love stronger than anything. Savannah stayed by her side when it looked like she was finished more than once. Savannah could have left her and saved herself. She didn't waver. Savannah stayed with her. They would have terminated together. Savannah promised to never abandon her and she always kept her promise. She was clearly the 'Chosen One'.

The tears welled up in Cameron's eyes.

Savannah noticed. She held Cameron a little firmer.

"I'll always be here for you, Cameron." Savannah whispered. "I've never failed you."

Cameron knew Savannah's true love was to be Young Allison. She also needed to be with John. She didn't think John deserved Savannah. He would strip her purity from her and move on to the next one. Maybe she could 'borrow' a male Terminator chassis. She could be the one to 'break in' Savannah herself. She'd been in a male chassis more than once. She'd been in the chassis of John Henry, Bob and Jim. She'd pleasured herself in each of those chassis. It was quite messy as compared to her chassis. She wondered which one Savannah would prefer for her to use.

She'd noticed the male Terminators all looked at Savannah with a desire for 'more'. Their emotional development was very slow as it was not a major part of their programming like it was for the female Terminators. Steve and Tom both looked at her a little longer than they should. It may be because they were constructed as Restorators instead of Terminators. Mrs. Weaver may have given them a 'little extra' in their programming. There were un-activated Terminator chassis in her menagerie. She didn't think the one which looked like Mr. Weaver would be a good choice. There were others.

Savannah snuggled up closer to Cameron. She wanted her to understand love consisted of many things. It was the total sharing of both of the individuals.

Cameron wanted 'more' of Savannah. She would ask her to do the 'Neural Interface' with her. She could have 'part' of Savannah inside her if she did.

Wait.

Anna updated her 'Neural Interface' with Savannah a few times a month at the least, sometimes it was once a week. When she took Anna's chassis, she would take those files from her too. She would be like Savannah both physically and mentally. What could be more beautiful than that?

Savannah was a little worried about Cameron. She watched her face and knew she was 'elsewhere' right now. It was probably not in a good place either. She decided to bring Cameron back to 'now'. She repositioned herself and moved a knee up on either side of Cameron. Her neck arched back as Cameron started in. She saw some brightness through her closed eyelids. She opened them in time to see another shooting star. She felt some 'shooting stars' a few seconds later as Cameron delivered.

She leaned back farther and farther as Cameron stayed with it. It was almost a sensory overload for her as Cameron intensified her efforts. She knew she was headed for a grand finish. She tried to move away from Cameron's face, but Cameron held her firm. Cameron never slowed or flinched. She pushed it further and it happened again and again.

Savannah knew she was headed for the edge. Jesse told her Gail took her there and beyond. Gail needed to revive Jesse more than a few times. Cameron was about to push her there. She tried to move or speak but couldn't. Her vision was gone too….

"…The baby…." Savannah gasped.

The Terminator wanted to find out what his next location would be. Based upon the beds at the previous location, there were probably some victims of the sex trade at wherever they ended up at.

A drone tracked the sedan and van. Traffic management allowed the Terminator to close up within a half of a mile of them. The van and sedan were very careful to obey all of the traffic laws. It was clear they didn't want to get pulled over. It indicated the cargo they carried in the van was of extreme value.

Besides the dead bodies left at the last location, there'd been a number of drugs as well. It appeared to be a hasty retreat after the failed attack. Everything at the location was destroyed in the fire after the Terminator left.

CamNet kept communications blocked for the group since the attack began earlier.

The drone scans indicated there were two individuals in the van and four in the sedan. Based upon the weaponry the two men who were outside of the building in the front carried, they were all armed.

The drone tracked them into one of the canyons in the hills just outside of the incorporated area. It wasn't where they thought the destination would be. It was in a more rural setting. There were actually quite a few of them around the city. Some of them were even in the city. It was probably a staging area.

The Terminator realized it was a good spot for them to have as a location. They could have surveillance devices, as well as ambushes set up along the road. They would certainly have advance notice of any arrival on the road. He didn't plan to use the road.

The sedan and the van arrived. It was a ranch type house. There were several outbuildings located around it. One of them appeared to be an old packing house of some sort. There were a number of walnut trees around the location. Most of them were dead.

The drone did a low level scan of the location from all four directions. It was able to identify a number of individuals.

The Terminator parked a mile away from the location. He wore his vest. He carried his suppressed M4 as well as his silenced M9. There were two drones on station with him. One watched the compound, the other one orbited the area. It searched for any new arrivals.

The security chief could hear additional minigun fire somewhere else in the building. It was towards the rear of it. The HK Track near him turned around and went in the direction of the other gunfire.

He looked over the control console the technicians were working on. He could feel it was still warm. He wasn't sure if he could disconnect it or not. He went over to the wall where the electrical breakers were located. The master breaker was tripped. He needed to push in a release and flip it back up.

The lights came back on in the building. He hoped to be able to give some of his men a fighting chance now. HK Track could see in the dark through its various vision spectrums. A human couldn't.

He was going to go over back towards the console and make sure the spatial porthole was shut down.

Two men came in the door.

"What's going on in here?" The first man asked. "It sounded like all Hell was breaking loose. I haven't seen any outside attackers."

There was more minigun fire off to the side.

"It seems we're having the same trouble with the HK Tracks as they did at the other locations." The security chief said.

A half a dozen stray rounds impacted into the wall by the men. Several of them ricocheted and almost hit them.

"I don't think those were rounds from HK Track." The second man said. "Are you sure there's not an enemy squad in here?"

The security chief didn't think there was an attacking force.

"Those are probably from one of our guys." The security chief said. "I spotted what looked like a few females on one of my monitors before I lost everything."

The two men looked at each other.

"Did someone bring some fresh skanks in?" The first man asked.

The second man wanted to know more.

"Where were they at?" The second man asked. "Did they get away?"

The security chief wanted them to refocus.

"Keep your pants on for now." The security chief said. "We have to stop the HK Tracks before we start thinking about anything else."

The first man stood up from his position to take a better look around. He wanted to see if he could spot the females. His body dropped back down to the ground.

"What happened?" The second man asked.

The security chief checked the man. There was a bullet hole in his forehead. There was no exit wound. He hadn't heard any shots at the time the incident occurred.

The second man fell into the security chief as he looked at the first man.

"Watch it, moron. You almost knocked me over." This security chief said. "I think one of those broads must have a silencer."

The security chief felt the man who'd bumped into him land on the ground. There was a hole in the center of his forehead as well. The two men lay on the ground with their heads near each other. The bullet hole was exactly in the same place on both of them. He hadn't heard a second shot either.

There was some minigun fire near the north wall. It was followed by a scream.

The security chief wondered if the females were Terminators. Who else could make two identical head shots? The control panel the technicians used earlier started to hum.

The female Fanatic wanted things to play out a little more before she made her next move inside the building.

The lights inside of the building came back on. They both crouched down lower on the catwalk.

The HK Tracks performed as expected. They watch them kill over half a dozen men. Some of the men didn't realize the HK Tracks were hunting them until it was too late. Some of them figured it out and shot at the HK Tracks. It did little good. The bullets mostly ricocheted off. It seemed to alert the HK Track to a new target which it engaged.

"How many of them do you think are left?" Jill asked.

The female Fanatic could still see a few figures moving around.

"I don't know how many are left outside." The female Fanatic said. "I think some of these men are from the outposts."

There was some sustained gunfire directed at one of the HK Tracks. It turned and fired at the source. Two more men fell.

"We need to think about an exit strategy." Jill said.

The female Fanatic wasn't ready to leave yet. She wanted to make sure all of the Grays were down. It included the ones outside.

Lena and Tina would use their silenced M9 to engage any threats they encountered. They could direct a drone strike with a missile against one of the HK Tracks by giving CamNet the location information. They weren't ready to do so yet.

They were a little surprised when the lights came back on. It was to their disadvantage. They had the advantage in the darkness. Their only real threats before were the HK Tracks. Now they could be targets for anyone. They weren't the only females in there who'd be a target.

Lena spotted two men enter through the door they entered from. There was a third man with them. She took a moment to wait for them to look around. She figured they would. She ignored the gunfire elsewhere in the building. She held her silenced M9 ready. One man looked up from behind some crates. She shot him once in the forehead. She changed her position slightly and was able to sight in on the second one. She dropped him the same way.

Tina kept watch in the other direction. She wanted to find where the female Fanatic and her accomplice were at. She spotted one man helping another man who was wounded. She fired her silence M9 twice and dropped both of them.

Lena waited to get a shot at the third man. He didn't show himself. She heard a 'hum' sound over by where the console was the technicians had been using.

Tina came over to look when she heard the 'hum' noise.

"I think the portal is about to turn itself back on." Tina said.

They were both aware something similar happened the previous time one was encountered. They'd delivered a lot of ordnance into it. Even when the emitters were destroyed, the porthole remained open. It began to draw everything inside of it like a giant vacuum cleaner.

"I think it may be a bigger threat than the HK Tracks currently are." Lena said.

Lena and Tina could hear one of the HK Tracks coming. It wasn't going towards them. It was headed to where the 'hum' noise was at. There was still some minigun fire on the other side of the building.

Young Allison could see it was clear to make a right hand turn onto Topanga Canyon Boulevard. She did so. They headed north.

Cameron watched Young Allison look at the location where Tommy's and the Clown In The Box fast food restaurants would be built.

"Are you sure you don't want anything?" Cameron asked.

Young Allison wanted to look around a little bit more before they stopped. They could always eat when it was dark.

"I'm good for now." Young Allison said.

Cameron reached over and turned the radio on. She moved the dial through the band to determine if there was anything worth listening to.

"I think I found something." Cameron said. "I have 1110 KRLA."

'My Boyfriend's Back' by 'The Angels', came through the speaker.

Young Alison smiled. She liked the song. They were two other versions she liked as well. One was by The Raveonettes the other one was by the Spazzys.

"I would have liked for them to have made a follow up version of this so we could find out what happened to the guy who needed to take a 'permanent vacation'." Young Allison said. "It sounds pretty serious."

Cameron figured he most likely would have been terminated.

"People need to think about the consequences of their actions before they do them." Cameron said. "Everything comes with a price."

Young Allison was aware everything did come with a price. It may not be evident for years, but at some point in time, the toll would come do.

"Every action creates a reaction." Young Allison said.

Cameron would prefer to not think about some of her actions in the past. Some of them weren't her fault when she was under the control of Skynet. Some of them were.

Young Allison noticed something in the short amount of time they'd been driving around.

"It seems to me like there's a lot of gas stations around here." Young Allison said. "I think half of those locations are now strip malls. I've never even heard of some of those filling station names either."

Cameron knew the various refineries would be whittled down to a handful. All of the different blends of gasoline would come out of those few remaining refineries, regardless of what brand it was sold under. It never ceased to amaze her how when the price of gas would start to go up, it would happen immediately at the different gas stations. The gas in their tanks was the same gas which was in there before the price started to rise. How could it cost more? She knew it was all profit. Maybe it was something she should look into and manipulated herself.

Young Allison glanced at Cameron. She could see her head was tilted slightly. She wondered what she was thinking about.

"Are you thinking about a few terminations?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron hoped she hadn't created any. It was the lack of competition which allowed the price to rise uncontrolled. The oil companies operated as an oligopoly. The way the prices all increased together, it was actually more of a cartel. The drug cartel was another problem they needed to deal with.

"I was just thinking about a few things in our time period." Cameron said.

Young Allison could see they were approaching Saticoy Street.

"Here's another intersection with a lot of gas stations." Young Allison said. "I think I'm going to see them everywhere."

Cameron knew the gas station boom would continue until the oil embargo occurred. It was after then when they began to drop off. The land became more valuable for other uses. Most of them were strip malls. Some did turn into fast food locations.

"Everyone wants to make a quick buck." Cameron said. "The price of a gallon of gasoline right now, is half of just the tax alone on what a gallon of gasoline will be later on. It was a little hard to believe the administration we departed from was able to get the price of gas up over seven dollars a gallon."

Cameron felt a lot of failures could be traced back to poor presidents and their failed administrations. She really wondered how some people could be so ignorant and support their policies. It didn't take her long to remember it was the same type of people who pushed Skynet ahead and destroyed the world. It just happened a little quicker than they could do through the electoral process.

Young Allison spotted a familiar sign up ahead. She glanced over to the right side as she crossed Saticoy Street and spotted something else.

"Look, there's a little Winchell's Donut House on the other side of the gas station." Young Allison said. "My mom told me they used to make good donuts there. I don't think it was the same location though. She told me they used to be everywhere."

Cameron looked at the location. There was a gas station on the corner. The donut shop was on the east side of it. Both of those establishments would disappear and a drugstore chain would put a building there decades later.

She thought about the donut shop. She knew most humans considered donuts to be 'good'. She figured they were probably also bad for one's health.

"We can stop and get a donut if you want." Cameron said. "We can bring some back with us for tomorrow morning."

Young Allison turned her attention back to what was in front of them on the north east side of the street. It was right on the other side of the gas station. It was one of the few establishments she recognized as being in the same place now as it was later on.

"We're going to stop at 31 Flavors." Young Allison said. "They'll give you a taste of the different types of ice cream if you ask for it."

Cameron liked ice cream. She usually only ever tried a taste of ice cream when she tried it. It was one of her favorites. Everyone said ice cream was 'good'. She wanted to try things which were 'good'. She hadn't encountered too many individuals who didn't like some type of ice cream.

"I'd like to do it." Cameron said. "I want to try all 31 Flavors flavors."

Young Allison wondered about the name.

"Do you know why they call it 31 Flavors?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron believed it was a marketing ploy. It was a gimmick to get people to visit the establishment on a more frequent basis.

"There was supposed to be a different flavor for every day of the month." Cameron said. "They would rotate different types of ice cream in to keep a variety going along with the established flavors which everyone already liked. A new flavor would prompt someone to taste it and buy some."

Young Allison decided to park in front of the establishment. There was a parking lot along the north side of it. She remained on Topanga Canyon Boulevard. There were other vehicles parked further down.

She really wanted Cameron to enjoy herself. It always seemed to make her look a little less depressed when she tried ice cream.

There was an attendant behind the glass counter. They could see five gallon containers with all the different flavors of ice cream lined up in a double row.

"Would you ladies like to try a sample?" The attendant asked. "Our flavor of the day is 'Bubble Gum'.

Cameron tilted her head slightly. She didn't understand the concept of gum. It seemed like a fruitless task. It reminded her of some of the footage she'd seen of some of the music groups. The lead singer would be chewing on gum between pauses in the song he was singing. She was sure their singing ability would be improved if they didn't have gum in their mouth at the same time as they were making a recording. She'd noticed it with more than one group as well. It made her wonder if it was a 'nervous reaction' to some of the illegal narcotics they were most likely using.

"We'll both try some." Cameron said. "Thank you."

The attendant took two little wooden 'spoons' and scooped up two samples.

Young Allison was used to a tiny plastic spoon later on. The implement the attendant used looked like a short fat popsicle stick. There was a slight hourglass shape to it. It didn't really matter. A sample was a sample.

They both thanked the attendant and tried it.

"Do you like it?" Young Allison asked.

Cameron smiled.

"I like it." Cameron said.

The attendant looked pleased.

"Would you like one scoop or two scoops on your cone?" The attended asked.

Young Allison wanted to try a different flavor.

"Can I try the 'chocolate peanut butter cup' please?" Young Allison asked.

The attendant took out two more of the wooden spoons. He gave each of the girls a sample.

Cameron smiled.

"I like it." Cameron said. "I want to try all of them."

There was some movement in a room at the end of the counter. A middle aged man walked out.

Young Allison was sure it was the manager. She didn't want an incident created.

"Hello, sir. What we would like to do is try some of each of the flavors." Young Allison said. "We'll pay for it. We don't want to get a scoop of each one but just to taste. We'll pay whatever price you think is fair. We're visiting from out of town and there isn't a place like this where we live. All we ever have is chocolate, strawberry and vanilla, on a good day."

The manager took a moment to look the two girls over. They look like respectable girls. There's one thing which seemed to captivate him. It was their face. They both had a beautiful smile. He wondered if they were on their way to Hollywood. They were probably from a small community and wanted to get into Show Business.

"Kevin will be happy to give both of you a taste of each of our 31 Flavors different flavors." The manager said.

They both smiled at the manager and thanked him.

He started to turn away to go back to his office.

"Excuse me, sir." Cameron said.

The manager turned around.

Cameron laid a ten dollar bill down on the counter.

"We really appreciate the extra effort." Cameron said. "We'll pay our fair share. We know there's no free ride in life. We appreciate the kindness. Your ice cream is excellent."

The manager smiled. He was sure the girls were from a small town. People around there didn't think the same way. He really hoped when they got to Hollywood they wouldn't find out there was no free ride the 'hard way' to get into Show Business. He really hoped they stayed away from the casting couch.

"That's very generous of you." The man said. "Kevin, give them back five dollars change and give them each a cone when they leave. I appreciate your business."

Young Allison and Cameron proceeded to try each of the different flavors. They tried all 31 of them.

Rhythm Of Love

It doesn't take very long
To find one to adore
It gets the endorphins flowing
One is soon back for more

The person grows from within
They are to behold and cherish
One soon begins to worry
The other will vanish or parish

Things may start out slowly
They will grow and ignite with passion
It's soon expands beyond control
It turns into an obsession

Most will experience the feeling
Of the dance of romance
It is always a gamble
There are many who will take the chance

To make things happen
It often takes a shove
Once they are going
They become the rhythm of love
