*
The end of the war finally brought both peace and a huge weight off of Harry's chest. Voldemort was dead, the last of his death eaters were either captured, dead or injured and fleeing for from the aurors.
Harry looked down at his Holly wand, the wand which had defeated Voldemort, the wand which had served him for years.
He was interrupted from his thoughts by Ginny, her long, flaming red hair being the first that about her that he both noticed, and loved. Her face had a dashing of freckles over her nose and she had a pair of brown eyes that reminded Harry of melted chocolate.
She approached him from his spot under one of the trees near the black lake, it was a place in which both of them had shared many memories, particularly times in which they were either talking, or snogging.
"Mum and Dad wondered where you were." Said Ginny, sitting down closely next to him.
"I felt like I needed some alone time," he said quietly, fiddling and pulling at a piece of grass on the floor idly.
"I understand," said Ginny as Harry turned back to look at her. "You, Hermione and Ron are going to be the most exhausted, you all risked your lives to make Voldemort mortal once more."
"I wasnt as brave as you were." Said Harry in his usual noble and humble manner and Ginny couldnt resist chuckling.
"A year on the run didn't teach you to take a conpliment?" Ginny asked with a raised eyebrow.
Harry shook his head and he gave a genuine smile, one that Ginny had not seen for a while, not since they had last been along together the year prior when they had begun dating. "I guess not."
They lapsed into a comfortable silence. Harry found himself moving closer to Ginny and she was doing the same.
"Dating opportunities were slim to none whislt I was gone you know." said Harry with a cheeky smile and Ginny snorted, but then her face turned serious when she realised they were going to need to have this conversation.
"You hurt me a lot Harry," said Ginny, she noticed the stab guilt that registered on his face, but he needed to hear it. "I may have said that I understood yiur intentions at Dumbledore's funeral, and that you were trying to be noble and protective of me, but it felt like my heart had been torn out Harry."
Now she was beginning to tear up a little bit, but she didn't cry. "You should know that I didn't need protecting, that no matter whether I was your girlfriend or just a Weasley, I was always going to be in danger."
Harry didn't say anything, his eyes were drawn to the floor, not wanting to look at Ginny as seeing her upset also hurt his heart more than anything.
"I do love you, and I know you feel the same way, but I'm not sure I'm ready to just ignore what happened and jump right back into your arms yet." She said before getting up and leaving him with that final statement.
Harry truly felt hurt, but he also knew deep down that Ginny was still dealing with the grief and loss of her older brother, and grief can change people. Maybe Ginny needed some time to process everything.
Ginny however, was thinking of something different, depsite what she had said, she in fact would be very happy to become Harry's girlfriend again, she had remembered him saying that he wished they had weeks, months maybe years in which to be together had he realised how he felt.
Ginny's worries and hurt were not just from Harry's decision, it was her own personal thoughts that were affecting her.
She headed to the bathroom inside her dormitory she had stayed in during her sixth year. Once inside, she warded the door shut and silenced the room as she removed her shirt and stared into the mirror.
Her body had scars, some were small dn only appeared as faint areas of skin which were covered up by clothing, but others were deeper, more profound and had been caused by terrible moments that she wished not to dwell on.
She had never been self-concious of her beauty, she had always been rather popular and considered her to have many aesthetically pleasing traits to the boys and even a couole of girls in the school, she had round, full breasts that were thanks to her great genetics, she was slim and athletic with a backside that had been sculptured from endless hours of quidditch training, her legs were slender and showed off the muscle she had been working on, her hair was flaming red and hung with a sort of aura and her face was considered to be very pretty and pleasing to the eye.
Now though, she had scars over said body, thakfully in none of the main sensitive areas but she had some along her stomach and her arms, her legs no longer looked like they glowed, the scars making parts of her thigh look awful. She had a scar on her left cheek from a cutting curse she had taken.
She had been hard on Harry, of course he would do anything to keep those he loved from harms way, going as far as extreme and ridiculous ideas in order to achieve that goal Ginny had to admit, his hero complex ehilst hating the fame that came with it was a rather attractive trait in him.
"At least he doesn't have these horrible scars on his body." Muttered Ginny to herself as she exited the bathroom.
*
Harry found himself in a similar position, unbeknownst to Ginny, he himself had plenty of scars to show off, many were much deeper and were mangled.
He had scars over abdomen and chest, his chest had a deep scar in the shape of a lightning bolt where the killing curse from Voldemort struck, thankfully it never hurt him and he was glad it didn't.
He had a few scars over his face, he looked peeky and rather pale from lack of nourishment which was more as a result of not eating properly from being on the run, he didn't think of himself as particularly attractive either, he had not many well defined muscles, his black hair was a mess and he had plain green eyes.
Harry sighed as he covered his body back up, he knew that Ginny found him good looking, but it still did nothing to quell his insecurities.
*
Over the few months since the end of the war, Harry found it painful to stay over at the Burrow for more than a night each week, he still felt incredibly guilty for Fred's death and he couldn't face himself to see Ginny ever since that day on the Hogwarts grounds.
He looked over at her from afar as he joined the Weasleys for dinner, he was mostly keeping an eye on his godson, Teddy Lupin and paying not as much attention to the others.
He was joined later that evening by, to his surprise, Bill Weasley.
"Hey Harry." Said the eldest brother with a genuine smile.
"Hey, How have you been?" Asked Harry.
"Not bad, I was hoping to find myself some privacy for a bit but I also wanted to speak to you." He said.
"Go on?" Asked Harry.
"I know what's going on between you and my sister," he said, Harry nodded carefully. "I know that you left her for good intentions and considering your upbringing and childhood I can both respect and admire that, Ginny can be very stubborn at times, but she misses you alot and wishes you would speak to her.
"I'm just giving her space," Explained Harry. "I've been focusing on looking after my godson and giving her time to cope with everything, she told me that she couldn't just expect to restart our relationship."
"Grief can change people for a while, it can make them think irrationally, Ginny realises that from your point of view, you felt you had no other loves you. You have both madd mistakes and that has resulted in this, maybe you shouldn't have broken up with her but I personally think she needs to speak with you and help the both of you find your footing with eachother, even if it's starting off as friends again."
Harry nodded and Bill gave him a hug and whispered to him. "Talk to her, she'll always listen even if it doesn't seem like it."
Harry bid Bill Weasley goodnight, he stopped outside Ginny's room, she may be asleep, she may still be awake, using all his Gryffindor courage, Harry knocked on the door.
*
Ginny had never expected for her to recieve a talking to from Bill about her previous relationship with Harry. She expected either Ron and Her mum or dad to give her a pep talk, not her eldest brother Bill.
She sat on her bed reading one of her quidditch books. It was late, but Ginny found herself restless that night, unable to properly get some sleep.
Her head shot up when she heard someone knock on her door and she told them they could come in.
Harry entered her bedroom and closed the door, Ginny felt a sense of deja vu as he walked in, similar to that when she had given him his birthday gift nearly a year ago.
"I came to talk to you." He said, not taking his eyes off her.
Ginny patted the bed, motioning that he could sit there. Harry sat down and immediately began to speak up.
"I'm sorry for what I did to you," said Harry. he paused waiting for a reaction from Ginny but she simply let him carry on. "I should never have pushed you away, breaking up with you to me felt like I was keeping you safe, even if it hurt me to do so."
"Harry," said Ginny as she took both of his hands in hers. "It's not that I'm worried about, but I appreciate your apology and I have already forgiven you, I just wish it wasn't neccessary in your eyes."
Harry nodded and Ginny carried on. "I'm just worried about somethings and..." She paused. "I'm worried you'll think I'm ugly."
"Ginny I could never think you are ugly, you're beautiful in every sense too me." Said Harry with a smile.
Ginny sighed and she pulled off her top right infront of him. Harry was shocked at the movement and his eyes locked to her full breasts in her plain white bra, he felt all the blood rush from his brain.
Ginny was shocked that he hadn't noticed the scars on her abdomen or her arm yet, he seemed entirely transfixed on her breasts, something which shocked her. she pointed a finger towards her stomach and Harry looked at the scars.
"How did you get those scars?" He asked, concern in his voice.
"You remember how me, Neville and Luna restarted the DA," Explained Ginny, Harry nodded. "Well the carrows weren't to happy about it and they decided some torture was neccessary."
Harry hugged Ginny in support and she hugged back, he was thankful for once in his life that someone other than Voldemort was dead.
"The scars make me feel ugly." Said Ginny.
Harry pulled away and had an almost stern look on his face. "The Ginny Weasley I know is beautiful, these scars you have don't make you ugly, they show history and how brace you were standing up to the death eaters, you are beautiful Ginny, we all have our own scars."
Harry rolled up his shirt to reveal the scars on his arm, the lightning bolt on his chest and pitted to a few scars on his face. "I have my own scars, do I feel ugly, no because these are a part of what I have been through and who I stood up to."
Ginny looked downcast and Harry touched her chin and lifted it up gently to look her in the eyes. "You are beautiful, I've never seen a girl as beautiful as you are."
Then he kissed her, a slow, deep kiss which Ginny molded to almost immediately, it felt amazing to Have Harry, shirtless in her bed and kissing him with no shirt of her own on. Harry's hands moved so that one was pressed into her back, and that the other was running through her hair.
Eventually they both had too pull away from the kiss for air, Harry had a massive grin on his face and Ginny coudlnt resist her own grin.
"That was amazing." said Harry.
"Well why don't we do it again." She said as she leaned down to kiss Harry as she rolled over onto his lap as they snogged in her bedroom.
When they broke apart, Ginny asked him a brining question, as he absentmindedly trailed her finger over one of the scars on her stomach, which sent a warmth of pleasure through her body.
"So what about me do you find attractive if I'm so beautiful?" Asked Ginny with a slight smirk.
"Well how about we start with your hair," said Harry as his other hand began to wonder through her locks of red hair. "It's a sort of flaming red hair, when you were fighting at the battle it looked it was on fire, your eyes are like melted chocolate, you have a cute dashing of freckles which I would love to count all day, you have these pretty red lips which I love to kiss," Harry made a point by kissing her deeply, Ginny returned it with equal passion.
"You have a soft glow to your skin, and it feels soft," said Harry, his hands massaging and feeling her skin all over. His eyes then landed on her breasts and Ginny blushed. "I have never seen a girls breasts before but they are beautiful to me," he cupped her breast through the bra and Ginny let out a soft moan. "I don't know much about shapes and sizes but to me they are perfect."
Harry's eyes trailed down to her stomach and legs. "You have a toned stomach from Quidditch and your legs are shapely and have a glow to them. And don't even get me started on that bottom of yours." Ginny was blushing furiously as Harry complimented her.
Harry's hands moved to cup her bottom and she let out another soft moan at the touch. "You have the most amazing bottom, this was what caused me to end up in the hospital wing with due to bludger injuries."
"I might just have to keep you around Potter," said Ginny. "If you keep complimenting me like that, I might have to ravish you."
Harry chuckled as Ginny leaned into kiss him once more, her legs wrapping around his waist as she clung to him fiercely, Harry's hands never left her bum and she rather liked his hands there.
A/N: This is another one which will have a part two later on, hope you enjoyed it.
