Chapter 8

A/N: I appreciate the love and support from my last chapter, I know it's short and didn't get into much in my opinion, but don't worry because this chapter will start off the new arc called: 'Crescent Island'. I'm not sure if I mentioned the island name before as it has been a few years.

Another note (A small plug), I have started a new Etsy store 'Cognitive Nexus' and I would love it if you guys could check it out. There are stuff on the store but I'm not fussed over if anyone buys anything or not.

Anyway, back to the chapter.

Disclaimer

The following arc will have Natsu Dragneel being the age 18 and Hisui E. Fiore who will be 16. This will contain rape and sex with a minor.

Now in England, I live within the area of Greater Manchester. When it comes to the law of consent and stuff, I am used to many people aged similar having sex or even start having sex when they are in high school aged 12. To me it is known and is normal. Now I know many readers aren't UK based so they will find this morally wrong.

This disclaimer is to highlight this point when it comes to the sexual intercourse. If it creeps many out, then its fine for you guys to drop this.

Crescent Island Arc

A couple of months after the disappearance of the Fairy tail members

Crocus – The capital of Fiore

The capital city of Fiore, Crocus, was busy filled with many civilians doing their daily shopping, greeting with one another, and enjoying nice strolls through the busy streets.

A warm sunny sky looms over the city, making sure that the citizens enjoy basking in the rays of the sun.

A lone figure can be seen walking through the crowds, minding his own business. His face an opposite of the bright and happy environment around him.

"Stupid Magic Council asking me to go to the Royal Castle." The figure grumbled, slowly walking his way towards the very important building he has been summoned to.

"Me, Natsu Dragneel having to go to the king to help him out with something just so that I can keep the Fairy tail guild going. Kinana is the only one that goes to the Guild Hall. It's still a functioning guild." The now identified individual, Natsu, says now looking up into the cloudless sky.

The many residences of Crocus look towards the pink haired dragon slayer as he walks past them. Talks of the famous Salamander making his way to the Royal Castle spreads between the gossip, yet no one is willing to approach the dragon slayer, in case the dragon slayer retaliates negatively and burns down their houses or stalls.

'Stupid people thinking I will react negatively towards them. I'm improving.' Natsu thinks, Whining at how little faith the people around have in him.

With his gaze to the skies, Natsu could not help but think about his fellow guild members. It hasn't been long since he told everyone to take as many missions they could, apart from the S-class ones and to go out into the world to train.

He hates the idea of losing whatever family he has remaining, even leaving young Kinana to stay behind to train and to look after the Guild Hall, which the girl happily accepted.

Strength was a key component that his family needed. He knew it. The whole guild knew it. That is the reason why nobody denied Natsu, their new master's orders. Each member of the Fairy tail Guild knew that they needed to get stronger, to protect one another.

The farewell party went underway the very night the order was set. The early mornings of the Magnolian town, all the members set off to become a better person. Leaving little Kinana to look after the Guild Hall, which the determination in them teenager's eyes scared many of her fellow guildmembers to run off as soon as they could.

'It hasn't been long, but I hope everyone can get stronger.' Natsu thought, looking forward towards the Royal Castle.

Reaching the entrance to the castle, Natsu looked up and marvelled at the size of the building.

"Wow. Maybe we need to get a new building for our Guild Hall. Something new when we get back together." Says the dragon slayer, enjoying the sight of the Royal Castle.

Footsteps could be heard approaching Natsu, making the dragon slayer lower his gaze down to look at who is approaching him. A group of the royal knights can be seen approaching him, Surprising Natsu as he was told that a person named Arcadius was going to be meeting him.

But looking at the men making their way towards him, a man named Arcadius doesn't seem like he is with them.

Not long after, the royal knights stand guard in front of the Guild master of Fairy tail.

"Master Natsu Dragneel of the Fairy tail guild, you have been asked to attend a meeting of importance with the King of Fiore. We are here to escort you to the throne room where his majesty is located at.

You are to remain silent, follow behind us and at most, not course any trouble when you are in the presence of the king and above all else, do not act immaturely." One of the knights said after reading from a scroll.

After the knight was read out, before Natsu could say anything, the knights turned around and marched forward, not allowing the Dragon slayer to speak.

'Jheez, at least they could let me ask some questions.'

Grumbling, Natsu followed suit, not bothering with talking, and started to look around the palace to pass the time.

Not much was being shown around the halls but just the usual red wallpaper and marble decorations. There was there was the odd flowerpot or two littered around on dark wood tables, but Natsu wasn't bothered with that and instantly got bored.

It wasn't long before the knights escorted Natsu into a room that where a red carpet was laid out in the middle of the room leading up to a huge throne with seats next to it.

With Natsu still being far away from being able to see the figure he is going to meet; he used his draconic enhanced eye sight and was able to better see the figures he will be meeting.

Sitting on the rather tall throne, was an elderly short man with a square like face. His hair was long, shoulder length white hair. He had a small moustache as facial hair and his square like eyes gazed upon his figure.

Sitting to the left on a smaller throne, was a young girl looking to be about the similar age to Kinana. Her hair was emerald green, flowing down and reaching her chest. On her head, looked to be a gold tiara resting on the front of her head. Her face was round, with dark green eyes and a small mouth.

She seems to be wearing similar colour clothing as the short man, wearing a cream coloured dress and the short man wearing a cream coloured silk top. Unfortunately, a red robe covered his shoulders, not showing much.

Before he could look at the dark skinned figure standing next to the young girl, the royal knights that were escorting him, stopped in front of the figure and dropped to one knee.

"Your majesty, we have brought the Guild Master of Fairy tail, Natsu Dragneel." One of the knights said, still keeping his head bowed down.

"Hmm, it seems as you have. You did a good job, now leave us. All of you." The king commanded. Not long the royal knights that were leading Natsu, got up and bowed before leaving the room. The many maids that were stationed to the side, followed suite and left at a different door, probably back towards their personal residents.

The only people left in the room now were Natsu himself, the short man who was identified as the king, the green haired girl sitting next to him, and the tall dark-skinned man that was standing to the right of the girl.

Silence filled the room with Natsu refusing to say anything that could ruin Fairy tail. With now being a Guild Master, Natsu has started seeing how much the role has an impact for the guild's reputation. If it could still be a guild, or unfortunately, the Guild gets disbanded.

"I see the rumours of Fairy tail's Salamander being reckless and agitated are all false." The king says, chuckling at the end.

"Hey, who says that I am reckless. I'll have you know that I am responsible." Natsu says, with a huff and folds his arms.

"Hmhm, well I see that becoming the new 4th Master of Fairy tail has put some responsibility on your young shoulders." The king replies.

"But unfortunately, I would have liked to talk about the circumstances regarding the number 1 guild in Fiore, but I have a mission that needs to be carried out that is of importance. With Fairy tail being the number 1 guild in Fiore, I saw it best to ask the Guild master for aid in this mission. Makarov Dryer would have been the one to carry this out, but with his presumed death, the next in line for Guild master had to be chosen."

Hearing this, Natsu wasn't that bothered about the mission that needs to be carried out. With him being an A-class, he has been on many missions where he has had to help out very important people, and people of wealthy backgrounds. However, hearing that his old master would have been tasked to carry out this mission, upset him dearly, but he resolute himself to make sure that he does a good job.

"Sure, Gramps, you tell me what I need to do, and I will make sure that I carry it out as best of my abilities." Natsu responds as serious as he could. Knowing the importance of the mission.

Bonk

"OW. What was that for!" Natsu shouted at the royal guard was standing next to the little girl not long ago, who now appeared next to him and hit him on his head.

"You insulant. You are standing in front of his majesty the king and princess Hisui. You do not speak in a manner of disgrace." The man shouted back, watching as Natsu rubs his head.

"Now, now Arcadios. It was ok. Being called 'gramps' as he says, wouldn't hurt anyone. Also, it is freshening to hear someone is not up tight." The short king says to the knight now named Arcadios.

"But father, he has disrespected you." The green haired girl, Hisui says, looking at her father in shock.

"There is nothing wrong with what he says. I am asking him a huge favour, so I do not mind how the boy talks to me." The king replies to his daughter.

With a huff, Hisui sits back in her seat and folds her arms, her face now in a scowl as she looks on the talk between the pink haired Guild master and her father.

"M-my apologies your majesty." Arcadios says in surprise and bows to the king, before returning back to where he was stationed.

"Now my boy. I won't keep you long. There has been talks with a small island located to the southeast of here and past neutral grounds. The Island is called Crescent Island and there is a small kingdom that has negotiated with us on getting access into the Kingdom." The king starts off with. He then points to Hisui, who looks at her father in shock.

"You will need to escort my daughter, Princess Hisui, to Crescent Island and make sure that whatever happens, she remains safe. The kingdom has reported that it has many benefits that we seek. Which were hard to pass down, so we have been cleared to go ahead and visit the island. Unfortunately, with me having other important work to be done here, my daughter will be going on instead on behalf of me." The king finishes.

Hisui looks at her father, still shocked and a loss for words, whilst Natsu groans after listening to the mission.

"Why do I have to escort the little brat." Natsu says, quietly. Unfortunately, with there not being anyone else, the 3 other people heard, getting the princess to turn bright red.

"YOU. How dare you call me, the princess, a brat!" Hisui shouts.

"Well, it's true. Why should I go with you. I get that this is important, but your younger than me and I have to babysit. And speaking of babysitting, why can't that guy go instead?" Natsu retorts and asks the King a question.

"I'M 16!" She shouts, but the dragon slayer ignores her.

"It is a good question my boy, but unfortunately, no guards can go with. It was asks of us if just a member of the royal family was to go and no one else from the royal castle could go. However, they didn't comment on us getting outside help." The king explains.

"But you do not have to report it." the king says. Picking something up from the floor, he levels a small lacrima device and places it on his lap. "This right here is a flying lacrima recorder. We do not have a sufficient name to call it, but it has been designed and manufactured by the researching group in the capital. This will be following you guys behind and stay invisible, so the kingdom does not sense this or be able to see this.

I understand, my daughter is being a little bit…. Difficult right now, but I can assure you that she will be on her best behaviour and won't cause trouble." The King finishes off.

Hisui, after hearing this, huffs and sulks in her seat. Seeing this, the short king could only laugh in uncertainty after seeing her display.

After a couple of minutes of thinking, Natsu sighs and comes to a decision.

"Right. OK. I will carry out this mission. If it is that important then I won't complain. Gramps would have been the one to do this mission if he was still here, but he is not. So, I will do my best to complete the mission." After saying that, the king couldn't help but smile at the dragon slayer's response.

"Good. Very good. This mission shouldn't take that long. I have heard that yourself and your guildmembers have gone out to train. A splendid idea so I won't stop you if you were to get some training done during your trip." The king says. Hearing this, Natsu couldn't stop the smile growing on his face.

"Yes, thanks old man." Natsu says, getting a chuckle from the king, and Arcadios looking at him in anger.

"Don't worry my boy, now you are free to do as you please. Visit the library to read books, go to our training grounds to get some training done, or explore the capital until nightfall. The citizens of Crocus would be in their houses, so you and Hisui will be able to leave without issue." The king explains.

"Right."

[Line Break]

Nightfall covered the skies of Crocus and the streets were left empty, true to the Kings word.

During the time, Natsu visited the training grounds and trained till he couldn't anymore. He also visited the library, something he started doing, to learn more on how he can better refine his magic and keep it in check. He read books on fire magic and what properties that magic held. He also tried to read about the old times, where it was evident that dragons were about.

Results were found, and Natsu was able to find ways to increase his magic container, his control on his fire dragon slayer magic and the history of the dragons in the past.

Hisui, for her part, followed the dragon slayer around, watching him as he trained and as he went to the library. Natsu however, ignored her and kept focus on himself which Hisui didn't like and got angry every time he denied answering one of her questions.

As the sun set, Natsu was able to enjoy a feast fit for the king. The maids and the butlers watch on in disgust as the dragon slayer wolfed down every bit of food. The King for his part, didn't mind as he enjoyed watching the change in events. However, the same feelings could not be said for Hisui and her guard Arcadios who watched on in anger and were horrid as seeing such display of childishness.

Soon, Natsu finished first and excused himself, to get back to his training, which the King didn't mind and Hisui as well as Arcadios were glad.

We see now the Dragon slayer waiting at the front, with the flying lacrima recorder invisible just above him.

However, the mood could not be said to be great, as he as been waiting for 10 minutes for the princess he should be escorting.

Another 5 minutes went, and the princess finally showed up, wrapped in a black hooded cloak.

"You sure took your time." Natsu states, waiting impatiently for the green haired child.

"Hmph, I'll have you know, I needed to make sure that no one would be able to recognise me until we reach the neutral grounds. Being a princess of this country does gain a lot of attention you know." Hisui says, before bumping past the dragon slayer.

"Now hurry along, we don't have time for you to be standing around here." She says infuriating the pink haired mage.

"YOUUU!" Natsu shouts, but slowly follows behind, wanting to get out of the capital as quick as possible, quickly walking past Hisui. fuming and turning red, Hisui catches up to Natsu but doesn't say anything.

Watching on, the king and Arcadios watch the interaction between Fairy tails guild master and the young girl. The site could only bring a smile on the old mans face.

"Your majesty, do you think this was a good idea to ask the Guild master of Fairy tail to carry out this mission. I heard the guild master of Blue Pegasus is also a strong mage." Arcadios asks his king.

"My choice unfortunately was made before word got out that Makarov Dreyer and the rest of his guild went missing. So I would have been rushed to make a new decision with information that I would need to gather." The king explains, before turning his attention back to the retreating form of his daughter and the dragon slayer.

"Also, I think that sending for Natsu Dragneel was a good choice. I haven't seen Hisui be able to express her true feelings out in the open. She would always keep quite and calm when we always went into meeting with the other dukes and duchess'." Here, the king couldn't help the frown from creeping onto his face.

"However, I do not know how Hisui will feel after we didn't inform her that she was to get married to the young prince of the kingdom. With how she is with royal etiquette, I do not see this going well." With that Arcadios could only frown at the comment made.

"I believe you maybe right your majesty. But only time will tell of what will happen. Once get back, we can watch the recording of how this all plays out." Arcadias says, watching on as Natsu and Hisui escape from their sights.

"Yes, we shall see indeed."

AN: managed to get this chapter done. It is a little short, but I hope you get the idea. Not sure when I will be posting ch9 as I will be stuck with my work.

Also, I have started a , which is going to be all under a membership. But I don't have time to put my stuff on there and sort it out. If anyone is down to work with me on it, then please pm me about it.
