Chapter 1584
Every Position
Steve and Tom followed the van from a distance. They didn't want to be made as a tail. There was a drone over the van. It appeared the van was headed back to the location where Jim and Kyle were at. It would make their job a lot easier if it was.
Derek and Bob 'followed' the van on a parallel route. They wanted to be able to interdict them if they tried anything 'fancy'. They wanted to make sure they didn't affect any others.
Kyle and Jim searched the building they were in. They were aware the van was on its way back. There were several possibilities to consider.
"What happens if they call and want the roll up door opened?" Kyle asked.
Jim thought about it too. He hadn't been able to hear the man who was killed by the 'metal hail' speak. He wouldn't be able to emulate his voice.
"John Henry will need to block all the phone traffic." Jim said. "He hasn't done so yet to see if they will try and contact someone else."
Kyle could see it might bring them more targets. They always seemed to miss one or two in a big operation.
"I think they'll pull up to the roll up door and honk." Kyle said. "Since someone previously followed them, they'll want to stash the van."
Jim hoped so. If they pulled around to the side more, they would see the cracked and broken windows from the 'gravity shot'. There was also debris from the roof there.
"I'll unlatch it when they get close." Jim said.
They continued to look through the office paperwork. They already went through the Gray's belongings in the two rooms used as sleeping quarters. They found several pairs of female underwear, of various sizes, in one Gray's belongings. They were pretty sure they weren't his. They were most likely trophies.
The two Grays in the van constantly checked for a tail. They went around three different blocks in a complete circle.
"Are you sure we're clean?" The second Gray asked.
The driver checked his mirrors again.
"Yes." The first Gray said.
They were both worried because they couldn't contact anyone else in their group. Everything went to voice mail.
"We need to get Vinnie and get out of here." The second Gray said.
The first Gray would rather leave him and take off.
"Call him." The first Gray said. "Have him open the big door for us. We need to ditch this tub."
The second Gray tried.
"My phone quit on me." The second Gray said.
The first Gray handed his phone over.
"Try mine." The first Gray said.
The second Gray tried.
"There's only some kind of static." The second Gray said.
The van was only four blocks away from the building.
"We'll drive by the front and honk three times." The first Gray said. "If it looks good, we'll go around to the back, Vinnie should open the door."
It's what the Grays did.
Jim and Kyle tracked the van from the drone footage. It was clear they were going to drive by the front of the building first, before they went down the alley. They figured it would give them an opportunity to see if the building had been attacked or was on fire. The building would look untouched from the street.
"They're almost here." Kyle said. "They should go by in front any second."
'Honk - Honk - Honk'
"It must be the signal." Jim said.
Jim went to the back and opened the roll up door.
Kyle and Jim waited on each side of the space where the van would stop. They concealed themselves.
"If they try to drive away, I'll shoot the tires out." Jim said. "They won't get far."
Kyle figured the interrogation would be 'Terminator style'.
"Derek and I can go through the building one more time while Bob and you get some answers." Kyle said.
Jim knew an interrogation could be brutal. He didn't want to do it in front of the Reese brothers unless he needed to. There was an alternative available.
"We can go." Jim said. "Steve and Tom can do the 'interview'."
Kyle would see what Derek wanted to do. He was aware the same thing could happen to Derek and him if they were ever captured by the enemy.
Sarah told him once she'd watched Cameron beat the information out of a man when John was stuck in the back of a truck. She wouldn't let Cameron kill the man. They left him in a mine field instead. She told him how upset Cameron was because they just didn't kill him. He understood it was never good to leave the enemy behind. The man claimed to be 'hired help' so he could understand Sarah's hesitation. He also understood Cameron's point of view. It was the point of view of the future.
"We'll see what happens." Kyle said.
The van passed by the building where they wanted to go.
"It looks good from the front." The second Gray said. "I don't see anything burning or the police around the area. Go ahead and signal Vinnie."
'Honk - Honk - Honk'
"If it's cool, the big door should be open when we come around the back." The first Gray said.
"What if it isn't?" The second Gray asked.
"We keep driving and go off the grid." The first Gray said.
"What about Vinnie?" The second Gray asked.
"We'll say a prayer for his soul." The first Gray said.
The van pulled into the alley.
"I just saw the door go up." The second Gray said.
The van pulled into the building and parked. Before either man could get out, they were confronted. The driver was pulled out of the van by Jim. Kyle pointed his silenced M9 at the other man's head.
"No one will hear you die." Kyle said.
The man raised his hands. He followed Kyle's instructions.
Both men were quickly bound, blindfolded and gagged.
Steve and Tom arrived along with Derek and Bob.
Kyle filled them in.
Jim watched the prisoners in the big work room.
John Henry was able to get a 'hit' on the car which tailed the van. He sent them the information. They were suspected as Fanatics. They were very unpredictable in their actions.
Derek could see both Jim and Bob didn't want to question the men in front of them. It wasn't a problem. There was something else they could do instead.
"We can go check it out." Derek said. "Steve and Tom can finish up here."
Derek and Kyle took one last look at the men and left with Bob and Jim.
Steve and Tom separated the Grays and began to question them….
Young Allison and Anna continued on their way to the pool. They just stopped some abuse near the park. Two men drugged a young woman. The two assailants were stopped and dealt with. The girl was returned to the park. She didn't know what almost happened.
Anna looked over at Young Allison as they ran.
"I don't want to talk about it." Young Allison said.
Anna looked over at her again.
"I didn't say anything." Anna said.
Young Allison was waiting for a rebuke. She knew her actions were severe.
"You want to." Young Allison said.
Anna did want to comment. She thought it could have ended worse. It was the right choice to protect the female.
"I'm not going to." Anna said. "I know what would have happened to the female if we didn't intervene."
Young Allison was still troubled by it.
"It was the right thing to do." Young Allison said. "You heard them. They did it before, more than once."
Anna didn't want to get into it.
"I'm not going to talk about it, unless you want to talk about it yourself." Anna said.
Young Allison wondered about her actions. She still felt they were justified. All of the females were abused in the future. Many of them were killed as well. What exactly defined the enemy?
"Someone needs to make a stand." Young Allison said. "LOOK at what happens to everyone in the future. If we're trying to prevent Skynet, we should try to prevent Scavenger behavior too."
Mel was behind them. Randy was in front of them. They were both out of sight. Brian was in an SUV and paralleled them with additional weapons. He could have the SUV arrive at their location very quickly if it was necessary.
Anna felt they'd interceded more than a few times in such matters where there were crimes against females.
"We've done our part." Anna said. "Let's just go swimming and not worry about it. It's done. It's over."
Young Allison didn't want to be a problem.
"I'm fine." Young Allison said.
When they arrived at the pool, Brian was already there with the SUV.
Randy checked out the area on foot.
Young Allison and Anna entered the locker room. There were others present.
Anna watched Young Allison change, she did as well. She was a little worried about what Young Allison neglected. She knew it wasn't an accident. She needed to say something before it became an issue.
"Put your top on." Anna said.
Young Allison looked down. She preferred the 'natural look'.
"I don't like to wear it." Young Allison said. "I like it better when we come here before everyone else, and we can swim naked. I don't see why females need to wear a top in the first place. Guys don't need to. Almost every fat man has bigger breasts than we do. Just to see the hair on them is enough to make me want to vomit. They should be required to wear some type of top to cover the unsightly view."
Anna knew it was a true statement. She didn't want any trouble. There was actually more than one state where the issue ended up before the State Supreme Court. In each of those recent cases, the ruling was in favor of the females who wanted to go topless. If they were required to wear a top, so were the men. What was fair was fair. Right now, she wanted Young Allison to use good judgment based upon the setting they were in.
"You know what the right thing to do is." Anna said and walked away.
Young Allison looked down at herself again and closed the locker.
Anna looked over when Young Allison came out. She had her top on. She also carried something in her hands.
"I brought your flotation device." Young Allison said.
Anna smiled and put it on around her waist. She needed to keep her balance in the water. She could flip over if she didn't pay attention. She liked not having to stand on the bottom and could feel the freedom the water allowed. She also could see Young Allison reach out to her. It was clear there were no hard feelings between them.
"Thank you." Anna said. "Let's have some fun."
Young Allison smiled.
"OK." Young Allison said.
The girls entered the water and played around and shared a good time. Young Allison didn't get into any challenges with anyone else. It was a fun time for them.
Young Allison thought about the two dead men. Maybe she should just have killed them herself. She knew it wouldn't bother her. They'd already 'sentenced' themselves with their actions. She replayed the situation several times. If she were to have a do-over, she would do it herself. No one needed to do her 'dirty work'. She would look them in the face as she stated their crimes and then finish it. It wasn't a big deal. She was the one who stood up to the Syndicate and the Cartels. She was the one who put them at war with each other, and among themselves. If no one was willing to stand up to the criminals, where was society headed?
Samantha wanted to make the most of it. She rolled John on his back.
"My turn…." Samantha whispered.
John swallowed hard.
"Start me up." John said.
Samantha moved down and went to work. She was pleased with the rapid results. She didn't want to finish him off this way. She scooted forward on top of him.
John watched her face as she moved forward and then back. Her eyes focused on his as she received him.
"It feels nice." John and Samantha both said at the same time.
They both giggled.
Samantha bent down and kissed him as she started to move.
John was very pleased.
Samantha was too.
He really hoped she would make it soon. He knew he was going to.
Samantha moved to a more upright position.
John liked it. He liked to see everything bounce up and down. He remembered watching a video on the internet one time where 'things' were out of sync on the female. When things bounced, one was up, and the other was down. It continued back and forth in such a manner for the duration of the video. He pushed the thought from his mind. He was there with Samantha now.
He was along for the ride and it was a good one.
Young Jesse adjusted her heading. She kept the speed slow. She covered a mile every ten seconds. In a very short time she could see some of the bigger buildings in Las Vegas.
"I see it already." Young Jesse said.
Ally smiled. She'd spotted them long ago.
"Now you know why they could see mushroom clouds from Las Vegas before." Ally said. "It's not very far away."
Laura was excited to be in the front of an airplane. She was glad she'd asked about Area 51, even if it was a disappointment. She wanted to see more of Las Vegas from the air.
"Can we fly over the Strip?" Laura asked. "I mean before we land."
Hanna-Camille set it up with CamNet.
"We can do anything we desire." Hanna-Camille said. "We can even get clearance from the 'White House' if we want."
Young Jesse was given a heading to fly over the downtown area and then the Strip. They would circle back and then land at the Las Vegas airport. There would be a SUV limo waiting for them.
Mary, Laura and Young Jesse looked out the windows down at the city as they passed over the casinos.
"It doesn't look as impressive as you think it would." Young Jesse said.
Laura didn't think so either.
"There are just a few fancy places mixed in with a bunch of regular stuff." Laura said. "It's actually kind of ugly, except where the casinos are."
Mary was there once before. She thought things looked very basic and plain in the daylight.
"I think it looks better at night." Mary said. "It definitely has a lot more pizzazz."
Young Jesse swung around in a big arc once they were past the Strip. She would come around and line up with the runway. They already possessed clearance. She thought about asking for permission to overfly the local Air Force Base first. She decided against it. There was no need to push their luck.
"Everyone needs to get buckled in." Young Jesse said.
Cammy took Mary back to the Executive Suite.
"We can get dressed after we land." Cammy said. "There's no hurry for anything."
Cammy looked at Mary. She was used to Savannah. She knew Cameron wasn't going to 'give' her back. She would replace Savannah with Mary.
"We'll have a good time tonight." Cammy said. "We can do whatever you want. I'll make it happen."
Mary wondered if they would end up in a gun battle or kill anyone. Danger seemed to follow the 'special girls'.
"We won't be in a shoot out will we?" Mary asked.
Cammy smiled.
"I can make it happen." Cammy said. "The big casinos don't like to lose money. I can make them lose a lot. It's what we did before. We terminated several enforcers. They came after us to get the money back. They lost and we won. We also ran into some other trouble. We robbed a casino too."
Mary wasn't sure she'd heard Cammy correctly.
"You robbed a casino?" Mary asked.
Cammy didn't think it was a big deal. No one could stop them, even if they tried. She felt the casino brought it on itself. They were the ones who sent the enforcers after the Metal girls to get their money back. Instead, they lost it all. Skynet was involved in their operation as well. It turned into a very convoluted affair before they were done.
"It was Syndicate owned and being controlled by a 'worse group'." Cammy said. "We wanted to make a statement. There were a lot of dead people before we left. We also freed several groups of girls from the sex trade."
It sounded like a long operation to Mary. There must have been a lot of planning and preparation.
"How long were you there?" Mary asked.
Cammy smiled and shrugged her shoulders.
"It happened in one night. It was in just a few hours." Cammy said. "We did a lot of other things too."
Mary knew the 'special girls' were very capable. They didn't need to eat or use the restroom. They seemed to be everywhere day and night. She was curious to ask, even if it seemed like a bad idea.
"Do you need to sleep?" Mary asked.
Cammy looked at her new lover.
"No." Cammy said. "I don't sleep. We don't sleep."
Mary needed to ask.
"Are you a robot?" Mary asked.
Cammy smiled.
"I'm a cyborg." Cammy said. "I'm as alive as you, even if I'm different. My sheath is living tissue. My skeleton is metal instead of bone. I have a 'brain' that's electronic. I have a 'heart' in my own way, which is a power cell. I'm more of a mechanical human in function and reality."
Mary didn't know if Cammy was messing with her.
"Your body is just like mine." Mary said. "I've been with all of you, everything works the same way."
Cammy frowned.
"Your body is superior to mine in one respect." Cammy said.
Mary didn't see how. She'd seen the 'special girls' in action.
"I don't think so." Mary said. "You're perfect and amazing."
Cammy reached inside Mary's open bathrobe and touched her lower belly.
"You can reproduce." Cammy said. "I can't."
Mary could see it bothered Cammy. She decided not to tell Cammy about the two abortions she experienced when she was younger. She was still in high school. She had them 'taken care of' under a different name with a fake ID. It showed her being five years older. She didn't look forward to motherhood. It was something she hoped to avoid.
"I don't plan to use the option any time soon." Mary said.
Cammy smiled at her and made sure her belt was secure.
"Maybe we can one day." Cammy said.
Mary thought about the things Cammy said earlier and now.
"Am I your sex slave?" Mary asked.
Cammy looked a little worried. She knew what the girls from the future needed to go through. It was worse for Vanna and Jesse.
"No." Cammy said. "You never need to do anything you don't want to do. No one has treated you like that in our group. They never will either."
Mary was glad to hear it. She'd heard Sheila tell Leticia the same thing several times.
"I can be very independent at times." Mary said. "Are you really a cyborg?"
Cammy looked at Mary. Her eyes turned red and then blue before they returned back to brown.
Mary's mouth dropped open slightly.
"I'll let you shoot me later on if you want to see." Cammy said. "Just don't shoot my face."
Mary was a little alarmed.
"I would never hurt you like that." Mary said.
Mary really didn't know what to think. It seemed the 'special girls' let them see a little more at a time to 'prove' they weren't human. Now Cammy told her she wasn't a human but a cyborg. She did see Camille was now 'Hanna', but maybe it was just a joke. At this point she didn't think so.
Cammy wanted to make sure she was ready for the landing. She expected it to be smooth.
"We'll touch down any second." Cammy said.
Tricia, Leticia and Sheila were all naked and strapped in the sofa.
"How do you want to play this?" Tricia asked.
Sheila wasn't sure.
"You could try to infiltrate as Leticia." Sheila said. "You could see how good you really are."
Tricia knew everything CamNet did about Leticia and the girls, as well as the information from the 'Neural Interface'. She was aware of how Leticia responded to various sexual situations. It was her job to be an infiltrator and pass off as a human to replace them.
"I think I could pull it off." Tricia said.
Leticia was a little worried. She didn't want them to take it to the next step and replace her for real.
"You're not going to 'replace' me are you?" Leticia asked.
Sheila already told Leticia before. She didn't want her to worry about it,
"Not while I'm around." Sheila said. "No one is out to hurt you."
Tricia wanted to make the option clear. It was something which could be done.
"We were designed to replace a specific human and assume their life and job if necessary."
It didn't really ease Leticia's concern very much.
"What would happen to the human you 'replace'?" Leticia asked.
Tricia didn't hesitate.
"They'd be terminated." Tricia said.
Sheila could see Leticia was still worried. She wanted to give her something to think about, which she knew first hand was true.
"You saw Jesse and Young Jesse, Claire, Allison and Vanna." Sheila said. "We coexist with them. We love them."
Leticia did know it was true. It was something she'd witnessed with her own eyes, as well as in a bed. There was one thing which she wanted to know more about.
"Why are so many of you based on Allison?" Leticia asked. "Is she someone special?"
Sheila didn't want to get into it. She wanted to keep her answer simple and somewhat vague.
"The individual you know as 'Barbara' is the original cyborg of our group." Sheila said. "She's based on an 'Allison' from a different future than Allison. A lot of the people from that future died."
Leticia knew they told her bits and pieces. Sometimes she heard the same thing more than once.
"Is there a younger version or Vanna, Allison and Claire?" Leticia asked.
Tricia answered too quickly.
"Claire is Allison's mother." Tricia said. "Your summation is correct otherwise."
Leticia didn't know what to believe. She wondered if she would wake up soon.
Savannah wanted more of what Jameron-Cameron had to offer. She understood she asked Jameron-Cameron to perform at a 'human' level. It meant the refractory time would continue to increase more and more. It would most likely cut down on the performance level as well. There were a few shortcuts they could take with a Terminator chassis.
Now she needed to think of what she wanted next. She could be on her side, on top, either forwards or backwards, on her knees, on her back with her legs up, or up and back, or any combination or variation of any of those positions. She also knew she needed to not overdo it to start out. Her body wasn't acclimated to this 'activity' yet.
Jameron-Cameron could see Savannah wanted everything but was a little wary. There was no need to push anything. They weren't on a set timetable.
"We can do this later on too once we're back if you want." Jameron-Cameron said. "This doesn't need to be a one time thing, unless you don't care for it. If you don't like it, we won't tell anyone about it. John can still be your 'first'. He won't know the difference. Many females are 'virgins' more than once with a new partner each time. They don't want the male to know they've been 'active' before. They don't want a 'reputation'."
Savannah read the same thing in Cosmo previously. She thought she possessed quite a 'reputation' with the females. She always thought once she lost her virginity to John, she might be with each of the male Terminators one time. It would strengthen her bond with each of them to an even deeper personal level. She wanted to show them she loved all of them as equals as individuals. Well, she wasn't a virgin anymore. She liked what Jameron-Cameron did so far. She even thought she wouldn't like to be with John last at this point. He'd already taken enough virgins.
"I'm honored you were my 'first', Cameron." Savannah said. "I'm not ashamed of anything I've done sexually with my body. It's beautiful to share and experience the love. I'm just glad I've always had a choice."
Jameron-Cameron was very pleased to hear it.
"You were my 'first' too, as a male Terminator." Jameron-Cameron said. "It will always be special to me, Savannah. I'm honored as well because you allowed me the privilege."
Savannah kissed Jameron-Cameron deeply but gently. It was a loving kiss.
"Let's get each other ready again." Savannah whispered. "We can work on each other at the same time."
Jameron-Cameron was thrilled with the prospect.
"Do you want me to finish the same way again?" Jameron-Cameron whispered.
Savannah wanted more. She really wanted to explore some different positions.
"Yes." Savannah whispered. "After I make it, I want to try 'animal style'."
Jameron-Cameron wanted it too. There was a little more 'feeling' derived from the position.
"I can be ready to go again right afterwards, but still keep the performance to a human male level." Jameron-Cameron whispered. "Everything will remain well lubricated. It will be smooth sailing so to speak."
Savannah wanted it ALL. She wanted to try every female position possible.
"Let's do it." Savannah whispered.
Savannah rotated around on top of Jameron-Cameron. They both started in on each other.
Jameron-Cameron didn't find anything unpleasant.
They were going to be very busy for the next few hours….
CamNet's Terminator was redirected to investigate suspicious activity at one of the locations they already took down. The other building could wait for now. The situation with Lena and Tina indicated he would need to use extreme caution. There was more in play than it appeared.
One of the drones on periodic patrol picked up some movement at the location the Fanatics first attacked. It was the location where the female Fanatic was first observed. It didn't seem as if she survived the last encounter.
The drone on patrol spotted a vehicle make a pass by the destroyed location in one direction. It soon returned and did a pass in the opposite direction. It drove two blocks away and turned down a side street. It pulled over to the curb. No one exited the vehicle. It just sat there. No type of communication was detected from it. It didn't mean there wasn't some form of it.
It was evident with all the recent activity all of the different groups, the enemy begin to play things with a little more caution. More than half of the damage had been done, or initiated, by the female Fanatic.
CamNet's Terminator stopped one mile away from the stopped vehicle. The drone remained on a wide orbit around the vehicle. He hoped it wasn't something to draw their attention away from another location.
The female Fanatic and Jill would decide what their next move would be when they woke up. They both slept with a Beretta under their pillow.
Jill opened her eyes. Her hand quickly slid under the pillow and found the cold metal of the Beretta. She sat up in the bed with the pistol in her hand. There was some type of noise outside.
She looked over to alert Jackie. Jackie wasn't there. She sat up a little straighter and stood. The sheet fell from her naked body. She was more concerned about what target she could find for her Beretta.
Jill moved over to the door of the room. It was still locked from the inside. There was a chair at an angle against the door handle as well. If someone wanted to come in, it was going to make a lot of noise.
She looked in the bathroom. It was empty. She moved over towards the window. It was what was tampered with earlier. The window was closed, but it wasn't locked.
She went back and checked under Jackie's pillow. There was nothing there. She looked around for her clothes. She didn't spot them.
Jill went back into the bathroom to see if the towels were still there. They were. She caught her reflection in the mirror. She saw she was fully dressed. She didn't remember doing so. There was something about her clothes which bothered her. They were the clothes she was wearing when she was abducted by the group of Grays.
It began to click in her mind something wasn't right. She looked down at her clothes as she exited the bathroom. When she looked up, there was a homeless camp in front of her. She looked at her hand for her Beretta. It wasn't there. She quickly touched her body. It wasn't on her either.
Somehow it was the day everything started, when her life changed for the worse.
"There you are." The first homeless man said. "You better have me something."
Jill was a little confused.
"I don't have anything." Jill said.
There was some movement behind her.
"Then you know how you're going to pay." The second homeless man said.
Both of the men laughed. It wasn't a laughter of joy, but of evilness.
Jill already went through the 'initiation' at the homeless camp a week ago. It seemed it was especially brutal.
"Stay away from me." Jill said.
The two homeless men laughed.
"It's what they all say." The first homeless man said.
Jill believed her body belonged to her. It was especially more so if someone wanted to use it, and she would get nothing in return. Two or three minutes wasn't so bad if there was some food afterwards.
She didn't want to be there. She decided to run. Her hand brushed up against something tucked in her waist band. She put her hand on it and held it up. It was the Beretta. She knew how to use it. She pointed it at the two homeless men.
They both took a few steps back and lifted their hands towards their shoulders.
"Take it easy." The first homeless man said. "We're all friends here."
Jill could see the fear in their eyes. It pleased her immensely.
"You better have me something." Jill said as she threatened both men with the Beretta.
She despised both men immensely.
"Put it away before someone gets hurt." The second homeless man said.
Jill wondered exactly what their definition of 'hurt' meant. She felt they both hurt her plenty.
"It won't be me who gets hurt this time." Jill said.
The two homeless men looked very worried at this point.
"You know how things work." The first homeless man said.
The second homeless man nodded. He lowered his hands.
"It's just the way it is." The second homeless man said. "Give me that thing and head for my hooch."
The first homeless man lowered his hands as well.
"I think you're going to get the full treatment this time." The first homeless man said. "You know how it will play out."
Jill didn't intend to be abused again. She pointed the Beretta at the first homeless man's head.
"It will play out like this." Jill said.
She pulled the trigger. The Beretta bucked in her hand. The bullet impacted below the man's left eye. The impact of the projectile caused his eye to pop out of the socket and hang down on his cheek as he fell to the ground.
The second homeless man turned to run. He couldn't run faster than a 9MM projectile.
She fired again. It was a moving target this time. She aimed lower. It provided her with a bigger target area. The first round hit the man in the side. It caused him to spin around. She fired again. The bullet caught him in the chest. He dropped to the ground next to the first homeless man. He no longer moved. His days of being homeless were over. It was the same for both of them.
Jill was very pleased at what she did. It seemed like a good idea to get away from the homeless camp. She tucked the Beretta back into her waistband and took off. She could feel the heat from the slide against her skin. It felt comforting and warm.
She made it out to the street. She just started to go down it when a truck pulled up behind her. Two men got out of it. She recognized them as the men from the warehouse at the end of the dirt road.
"Not this time." Jill said. "It's never going to happen again."
Jill was pleased to see the fear on the men's faces as the Beretta appeared in her hand and pointed at them.
Lena and Tina were several blocks away as they watched everything unfold behind the closed electronics store. They quickly realized the ambush was intended for them. It was what they suspected ever since the white van was spotted near the warehouse at the end of a dirt road. It was personal now.
"The Grays just took down the gang members almost effortlessly." Lena said.
Tina thought they had a few cards to play.
"Remember, we have drone coverage." Tina said. "CamNet can take them down at any point in time."
Lena felt they still held the upper hand.
"Right now, all of them could be brought down with a dose of 'metal hail'." Lena said. "Their SUV could be obliterated with one or more missiles from the drones over the area."
The Metal girls wondered if the Grays in the dark SUV were actually sacrificial lambs.
"It almost seems like it's exactly what someone wants us to do." Tina said.
Lena thought the same thing.
"They want to see what the response is, and how it's done." Lena said.
CamNet informed them she was concerned about the same thing based upon what was just viewed by the drones overhead. There were a few more things she attempted to put into play.
There was a surveillance device placed in the white van when Lena checked it earlier. They could hear the conversation on the ground.
"Let's check the stiff's out." The first Gray said.
The Grays all checked the targets they'd engaged.
"These are nothing but local boys." The second Gray said.
"We just wasted a bunch of gang bangers." The third Gray said.
"They came after us." The fourth Gray said. "We didn't go after them."
"There's no indication of anyone from the future involved here." The first Gray said.
"Let's go ahead and reset." The second Gray said.
"Plan Alpha was a scratch." The third Gray said. "We can either go with Bravo, Charlie or Delta."
"I say we go with Delta." The first Gray said.
"Any of them are good." The fourth Gray said.
"You're not the one in the white van." The first Gray said.
"Delta it is." The second Gray said.
Two of the four Grays got back into the SUV after checking the gang members they'd brought down. The other two returned to the white van.
The white van and the black SUV separated from each other once they drove around to the front of the closed electronics store. They went in separate directions. There was now a drone for each of them. There were two drones for Tina and Lena. One would stay with them and the other one would orbit around the area to give them a broader view of any potential danger.
Lena wasn't so sure she wanted to find out what plan Delta was.
"I don't think we should allow them to reset." Lena said.
Tina agreed.
"They still have some type of ambush planned." Tina said.
CamNet informed them there were a few things she was about to put into play.
Lena and Tina increased the distance of their tail of the white van. Drones continued to track everything for them.

Cameron and Young Allison continued their journey towards the bank.
Young Allison could still feel her heart beating fast. She hadn't even been the one behind the wheel.
"This is so cool." Young Allison said. "Those two guys went running with their tails between their legs."
Cameron understood how they felt. She remembered a phrase from a song she'd heard. She roughly adjusted it to the current situation. Getting beat by a guy would make them mad, but when a chick shuts them down, it makes them look bad.
"They bit off more than they could chew." Cameron said.
Young Allison felt they held a distinct advantage. It was called available horsepower.
"I think we're at the top of the food chain right now." Young Allison said. "Do you think word will spread?"
Cameron hoped not. She didn't need a bunch of wannabes and has been around them.
"If it was 'cruise night' it might." Cameron said. "I don't know if we want to show off on the Boulevard or not. There tends to be a heavier than normal law enforcement presence on 'cruise night'."
Young Allison understood they needed to be careful around the law. They didn't have the ability to change a lot of things without John Henry or CamNet.
"Maybe we can jump start CamNet's existence." Young Allison said. "She could operate through the phone lines, teletypes and fax machines."
Cameron felt a mild glitch impulse.
"There won't be any computers created during this time period by us." Cameron said.
Young Allison meant it as a joke. She could see it didn't arrive as one. She knew what Cameron was worried about. Cameron was worried CamNet would become Skynet.
"I wasn't being serious." Young Allison said.
Cameron decided to take Balboa Boulevard. There would be less traffic on it than Sepulveda Boulevard would have. Since the 405 Freeway hadn't been completed through the valley, all of the traffic headed towards Bakersfield and Sacramento would be on it headed northbound. They would be headed for Route 99. Southbound would have less traffic.
Wait.
She wanted to go by the bank first. The adventure to Tehachapi was still on her mind. There was something else she wanted to take care of on the way there.
Young Allison could see Cameron was a little distracted. She spotted a car sitting at a stoplight. It was worse than homely.
"The car over there could sure use a remodeling." Young Allison said.
Cameron glanced over and quickly identified the vehicle. Its aesthetics did leave a little to be desired. Somehow the twin hood scoops on it made it look worse, if not ridiculous.
"It's a Dart." Cameron said. "I don't think it was named after the jet either."
Young Allison remembered some of her earlier studies of the time period.
"Does it have a 413 or 426?" Young Allison asked. "I know in 1963 the 426 would be what was considered the Max Wedge engine instead of the Hemi."
Cameron didn't think it would matter too much. They were both high performance machines. They didn't have as strong of a bottom end as the FE 427 had. Dodge would need to redesign the engine for the 426 Hemi. It would be constructed with four bolt mains like the FE 427 was.
"The 413 and the 426 both run very high compression." Cameron said. "The 426 will undergo a major redesign to use a hemispherical combustion chamber. It will be a new engine. It's much the same as Chevrolet needed to do with their 427. They both needed to go back to the drawing board to come up with a competitive engine. They needed to strengthen the bottom end as well as get the top end more free flowing."
Young Allison took another look at the car as they passed it at the stop sign. The driver held his left arm out the window horizontally. She quickly realized it was the hand signal to make a left hand turn. She saw him look at them. He quickly bent his elbow so his forearm and hand now pointed upward. It was the indication he was going to make a right hand turn now. He did. She looked back and saw him turn after them.
"It looks like we just picked up another candidate." Young Allison said.
Cameron was aware of what just occurred. She was pretty sure it was because Young Allison looked at the driver in the other vehicle. It may not just be a race he was looking for.
"I'm not sure what his intentions are." Cameron said.
Young Allison looked back and could see the car moving up fast. It was directly behind them. It wasn't in the other lane next to Cameron. She was in the right hand lane. There was a lane he could pass by. It wasn't where he was at.
Cameron wasn't sure what was going to happen. She pulled up to the stoplight. She expected the Dart to move around to her left side. It didn't it pulled to the right side.
"Watch yourself." Cameron said.
The driver of the Dart stopped next to Young Allison.
"Hey, Doll, how would you like to ride with me?" The man asked.
Young Allison could see he was older than the two men in the Impala were. She would try to be civil.
"No thank you." Young Allison said.
The man leaned his head forward to look over at the driver of the vehicle. He spotted Cameron. He looked back at Young Allison.
"I see things just got better." The man said. "There are two of you. I always wanted to try a set of twins."
Cameron didn't want any trouble. She didn't care for the man's statement. It irritated her.
"You'll have to excuse us, we're busy." Cameron said.
The man continued to look them over.
Young Allison felt uncomfortable. She glanced over at Cameron. Cameron looked over at her and nodded. There was no traffic on the street where they were at.
"We can talk about it if you can beat us to the next light." Young Allison said.
The man stopped looking at them and started looking at the car. He could see it was new.
"What size mill are you running?" The man asked.
Young Allison smiled at him.
"You can always find out the hard way." Young Allison said.
The man laughed.
"I'm running thirteen to one compression." The man said. "There's nothing that can touch me."
Young Allison thought of the man's statement. She glanced at Cameron. She looked back at the man.
"In other words, Nobody can beat you." Young Allison said.
The man revved up his engine.
"Nobody can beat my 413." The man said.
Young Allison reached in her pocket. She pulled out a hundred dollar bill. She knew a hundred dollars was a lot of money in 1963.
"I have a C note that says we can." Young Allison said.
The man's eyes widened at the thought of an easy win.
"I'll take it." The man said.
Young Allison didn't think the man could match it.
"Do you have the same amount for when you lose?" Young Allison asked.
It was clear the man didn't.
"I don't lose." The man said.
Young Allison wanted to make him an offer he couldn't refuse.
"If you can beat us, you get the C note." Young Allison said. "If you lose, you go away and leave us alone."
The man was intrigued by the offer. He began to wonder if he was being set up.
"What's in there, a 352 or 390?" The man asked.
Young Allison giggled.
"It might even be a 260." Young Allison said. "Do you have the stones or not?"
The man was angry at this point.
"When the light turns green, hit it." The man said.
Cameron looked over at the man. He wasn't in a traffic lane.
"I'll move into the left lane when we start to give you plenty of room." Cameron said. "All my wins are clean."
The man felt he needed to prove something. The two twins were a little too smug for him.
Every Position
One is bound to come up short
When everything is based on a condition
It's especially more so
When they are ruled by contrition
It's only a matter of time until one will rebel
When they are forced into submission
They look around every corner
Full of doubt and suspicion
The only reason they're still there
Is because of attrition
They hope to be the one
Who becomes the new addition
Lies are still lies
Even as lies of omission
The truth remains the truth
No matter the rendition
It is always a wise choice
To seek their permission
Change isn't always easy
With every position
Nobody
