After Peter went home and looked over all the evidence gathered from his fight with Wilson Fisk, he soon realized that he had no way to contact Fosswell. MJ did not have his number. Even if she did, a reporter would surely question how Spider-Man got his number, which could very well lead back to her, which would head back to Peter.

Another option would be to drop it off at the Daily Bugle, which was where the man worked, of course. However, the main problem with that would be the plan was to start a working relationship. That couldn't happen that way.

Another thought came to mind, what if Spider-Man secretly dropped it off. Then Peter Parker could befriend him. He kept thinking about this for the rest of the night.

In the morning, he came up with a plan that could be partially shared with Aunt May.

During breakfast, he sprung the question. "Could I apply for a job at the Daily Bugle?" Peter asked his aunt in the most sincere tone he could speak in.

"That's a surprise!" She replied. "Why are you asking now?"

"The school year is ending. I know money's tight even though you won't outright say it, I'd like to help."

"Okay, that's a big responsibility, and you must have an idea of what position you'd like. So, tell me more."

"I was thinking of web design. You've always said I was a creative young man. Heck, if they like me enough, I could try out being a freelance photographer. Of course, it won't pay the most, but the news is essential and think the hours might work for school even. I'll have to worry about that later, though."

"You seem to have thought a ton about this!" Aunt May said, looking impressed.

"I've not been the most helpful. I hope this can help out."

"It will, Peter." She grasped his hand. "Thank you."

A little later in the day, Harry and Gwen stood outside school early in the morning. It was about time they talked about there relationship.

"So." Harry began saying. He paused, unsure of what would come next.

"I think we rushed into a relationship neither of us is ready for. Gwen said softly.

"That's what I was going to say," Harry replied jokingly, trying to release tension between them.

"Why did we rush into this? We were happy just as friends."

"I don't know. I'm irresistible, I guess."

"This is important, Harry," Gwen replied, getting upset.

"I know."

"Do you, Harry? Crap like this makes me think all this was a joke which I didn't get the memo about. Jokes and deflection are all you do when the going gets tough. As your friend, I'd accept this. As your girlfriend, I can't do this anymore."

"Are we breaking up then?"

"We were together because of physical attraction, nothing else. I want to be your friend. Only that right now."

"Okay, I understand. I guess if I'm not going to fight for us, I wasn't ready for us being a reality yet either."

"Friends?" Gwen asked

"Friends. Harry responded.

They hugged and made up finally.

"It feels nice in a way, being friends again," Harry said.

"Agreed. Don't have to worry so much, Gwen replied, hitting his shoulder lightly.

"Why do you do that so much? We're not in a relationship anymore. You don't need to abuse me!" Harry cried in a silly tone.

"I'll abuse you anytime I feel is warranted," Gwen replied, smiling and laughing.

They walked into school, finding Peter in the spot waiting for them. "What took you guys so long!" He asked.

"Um." Gwen and Harry both said.

"The bus broke down?" Harry said, despite the fact, neither of them rode the bus.

"Oh, really?" Peter asked, sarcastically raising an eyebrow goofily. "Making love, were we?"

"We just broke up," Gwen responded.

"Oh, sorry."

"It's alright." She responded I think we're going to be just fine."

Harry nodded.

They went off to class altogether, just friends.

Later in the day, after school, Peter embarked off to The Daily Bugle. He told his friends, they were natural to it. MJ would be the most interesting to know about this.

Going inside, he went straight up, stair by the elevator. It seemed like anyone could go inside if they tried just a small amount of effort. This was not comforting, that lack of security would inevitably lead to problems of not already. Made sense, a man, dressed like a scorpion, got in undetected after all.

With my luck, anyone but Spider-Man would be able to enter the building easy peasy.

The elevator doors opened, revealing the busy news office. People were all busy at work shouting over each other to be heard.

He went past a few people, heading to what appeared to be where he wanted to be, Fosswell's desk. The man was not there, so he left everything that would spell the end of Fisk's reign of terror. Slyly walking away, in reality, it was more noticeable when he started trying to be sneak. Still, nobody noticed what he left.

After that, he went to another desk that help wanted sign above it. Saying, Web Design which was what he wanted.

Peter went off and greeted the secretary, sitting at the desk.

"Hello. Do you still have a position open?"

"Yes. Your the only person to offer help with helping to revamp our webpage actually." The secretary said joyfully.

"Lucky for you, I'd consider myself a computer wiz! When could I start?"

"Now!" A voice shouted from behind.

Turning around revealed an unhappy man. This was J Johan Jameson. "What's your name, son!"

"Um, Peter Parker?"

"Follow, or you're fired!"

"I'm hired?" The secretary nodded, giving a thumbs up.

Peter quickly followed Jameson to a computer.

"Fix this by the end of today, and you get a bonus!"

"How much is that?"

"Ms. Brant will tell you later. You just met her." Jameson paused and began shouting again. "Where's Brock!"

Another man came over. "Not here, following up on a lead and Ned. He told me to tell you."

"Next time you hear from him, tell him to show me some progress! I've haven't the slightest idea what he think's he's doing!"

"Of course, Jonah." The man noticed Peter. "Hey, welcome to the Bugle. I'm Fredrick Fosswell. Are you a tech person?" Foswell asked.

"Um, kind of," Peter replied.

Jameson walked off, shouting at someone else.

"I bet your feeling nervous. Jameson can have that effect on people."

"No, no-ah, who am I kidding? He's pretty scary. He's not always like that, right?"

"If your lucky, he won't bite your head off. I'd suggest getting some work done and if you've got the time could you fix my computer as well?

"This isn't broken. It's just got a virus, hope nothing important was saved on it. All you really need to do is wipe it clean and start over."

"You seem like a real computer geek."

"No, not really, just something I learned. Not to complicated. That's the basics. I couldn't help you with anything advanced. Thought I'd just be doing web design."

"Well, congrats, you're going to be having an exciting time if you believe info off the surface. As a reporter, I've learned not everything is as it seems. Sometimes you've got to look at the minor details to form a more important clue of what's happening for real. It can be hard for some people to understand. It makes us all different, which makes my job much more fun, for better or worse." Foswell said staring into the newsroom. "Anyways, I'll leave you be Mr. Parker. If you ever need anything feel free to come to me or Robby Robertson. He's a wonderful man. I'm sure you'd get along well. Anyways have to go, good luck to you." He went on his way. Leaving Peter to take in everything that's happened.

Huh. Was all that would pop up in his head. That was a ton.

A min later, Foswell noticed what was on his desk and began looking into it on his computer as Peter listened. Getting increasingly shocked and looking around to make sure nobody was peaking over. He ran off to Jameson's office shortly later.

Peter looked over and could tell something was going to come from this.

He crossed his fingers, hoping this would lead to a positive outcome.

Wilson Fisk looked over his ruined building. It was not to serve to get repaired, but it would cost a ton and take time. Still, it would need to be done. Bigger and better.

A guard came behind the large man.

"Sir I hate to disturb you at a time like this-"

"Out with it!" The man shouted, spinning around.

"We just got the word. The Bugle is about to expose information about you and Ms. Fisk. I'm sorry, sir."

"Get the car. Now!" He shouted once more, putting his fist through a wall.

"This is what happens. What happens when you gave me keys to the kingdom. Ruining all your dreams. Your empire. All my fault. All Spider-Man's!" He muttered aloud. "When I get my hands on him."

The guard came back to inform the boss that leaving would be required right this instance.

Fisk did not respond but complied with the guard's warnings coming downstairs to the car.

Multiple guards swarmed Wilson Fisk while many others got into a ton of vehicles, starting to make a convoy.

"What the hell is going on here!" He shouted.

"Police are on the way. You've been officially outed as Kingpin. They're on the way full force! We gotta get out of here now!" Multiple of his people said, adding to each other sentences and speaking over each other in complete out of control.

Fisk ignored this and got into his car, pouring himself a drink.

How could this get any worse? He thought to himself. As he did, it got worse, of course.

Swat vans came crashing speeding though into the parking lot. The goons opened fire.

Fisk's car and a few other vehicles hurried out of there getting ambushed by more police. This started a massive chase through NYC, Wilson Fisk was undoubtedly done after this. Shooting and crashes echoed through the streets.

Fisk got on the phone. "Hello! Osborn!" This led to voice mail. He dialled The Enforcers, getting voice mail again from them as well. He looked behind, seeing police cars in hot pursuit. He began drinking intensively from his bottle. "Don't stop for anything or anyone!" He shouted, continuing to drink.

"We've got incoming!" The driver shouted as police van came charging at them, scraping the car, nearly making it crash. "You might need to get out, sir. They're not backing off. Perhaps we could sneak you underground. It would be undignified going though the crap infested underground, though."

"I don't care, radio them and tell our people the plan. Kill anyone who stands in the way!"

"Sir, that would require a massive amount of destruction."

"Just get it done!" Fisk snaped.

"Of course." The driver replied, talking on the radio explaining what would need to be done.

The next couple of minutes were pure chaos. All of Fisk's remaining people nearby grouped together, giving covering fire and popping smoke as Fisk made a break for it to the underground. Spider-Man swung into the area fighting with a bunch of goons not noticing Fisk's escape.

Fisk slipped away as the fighting continued, getting his suit dirty as he landed in the yucky water. A few of his people followed. They all moved quickly, expecting Spider-Man and the police to be after them. They were not. It would seem that their forces above ground kept them covered, after all, a well-warranted sacrifice.

Above ground, Spider-Man finished beating back all the shooters and now searched for Wilson Fisk, contemplating how fast everything went nuts.

Immediately after giving Fosswell that evidence, it got printed and shared with the police near intently. Leaving the Bugle and getting to the fighting was not an easy task. If the office were not out of control by this revelation, he'd admittedly not have been able to leave to help the cops.

Looking around, Fisk could not be found anywhere as the smoke cleared. No evidence or clues left behind.

Fisk and his goons went walking for about 20 minutes before looking up to make sure all the police we're not above waiting for them.

Getting out, they all smelled horrible, and clothing was all ruined.

"I'll call up a car. We might need to leave the country for a bit, sir." One of the goons informed Wilson Fisk.

"No," Fisk replied in a stern tone. "We stay in New York. If we leave, this will all be for not. Everyone will leap at the chance to take my throne. So no, we won't leave. I will not allow my rivels to beat me. I will not have Silvermane beat me from the grave."

"Sir, where can we go? We'd have to assume everything is compromised."

Fisk scoffed. "Not everywhere and besides, getting ourselves some temporary residence shall be easy for a man like The Kingpin Of Crime." He declared, determined to bring down his wrath upon the city. To do so would require hibernation.

Back with Peter, he went back to the Bugle undetected. It was fortunate that everyone was distracted so significantly, or else it wouldn't have been such an excellent first-day at work.

To make up for his leaving, he did stay longer than needed to make up for it to himself as he'd know deep down that all that time was not working, which would bring guilt, a common emotion for Peter.

After a more extended day than expected, he went home. It seemed to be a productive start. Spider-Man got his baddie, and Peter Parker gets a job that looks decent. One that would take advantage of his scientist's brain would've been ideal however.

On the way, he called up MJ to inform her of recent events. Before he could, his phone rang just as he began to dial, it was Liz. Peter quickly answered after some fumbling from the shock of her calling him.

"Hey, Liz," Peter said.

"Hey," she replied.

"How are you doing?"

"Fine, called to let you know I'd be returning to Midtown next year. Until then, would you like to hang out during the summer, not far away, right?"

"Sure, of course, yes. Parton my saying this, but is this not a little early? Calling someone up checking for something in months from now seems a little strange." Peter said with curiosity filling his voice.

Liz sighed. "I'm bored here. I am going to die of boredom. Called to give me something to look forward to if you must know."

The young man nearly dropped his phone once more. "I'm flattered! Really I am!" He replied enthusiastically. "Can't wait for Summer!"

"Yeah, neither can I." She said less as excited as him. This went unnoticed, however.

"Oh, crap, have to go." She hung up. Peter was over the moon, excited. Hanging out with Liz Allen during the summer would mean they'd get closer, and she'd be wearing warmer clothing attire.

After a minute, his more logical part of the brain switched back on.

Perhaps I should set my expectations to a reasonable limit? Or not. Why would I want to do that? Maybe Spider-Man will finally get rewarded for all I do. It would be nice to get an unexpected reward. I've nearly died so many times now, universe, please toss me a bone! MJ! Forgot to call her, better do that now and forget about Liz for a sec.

Peter called up Mary Jane without being interrupted this time.

"Hey! I saw that the police went to take down Wilson Fisk!" MJ said immediately cheerfully.

"Yes, they did, but they failed to get him, and so did I."

"Well, he can't hide anymore, bet he's going to be public enemy number one!"

"Let's hope so, and I got the job at the Bugle. Met Mr. Fosswell. He seems like a trustworthy guy."

"As you said, let's hope so with him too. Trusting must be getting a little hard."

"Yeah, I got a call from Liz Allen just as I was going to ring you up." Peter shared reluctantly, but he did not want to hide anything from her.

"Oh really, how's she doing?

"Good, I think, wants to hang out sometime. Kind of nice, I guess. Nothing special, I'd assume."

"You're a special guy, so you never know."

"Thanks, guess I've had a crazy day today, huh?"

"Sure have."

"How was yours?"

"Fine."

"Just fine?"

"Yep."

"Can't all have exciting days, I'd suppose. Maybe it's just the life of being a superhero. Gee, wonder what's in store for me next."

-He comments on sounds egotistical for talking about himself so much.

*Pans around the city*

Fisk could be seen with his people building an underground operation, literally. With plans and tech being created for malicious intent.

Wilson Fisk held into a photo of his family while watching this and staring at the dirty alleyway outside his new base of operations.

Captian Stacy assists with the search for Wilson Fisk or better known as Kingpin. He was barking out orders to his police, giving them all places to search.

Norman Osborn looked though all his ruined work noting how much of his work got broken by the Kingpin. So much of his company received damaged. Bold decisions would have to be made going forward.

Gwen watched the news of Kingpin being exposed and was inspired by all that work gone into finding him.

Villans that Spidey defected could be seen in jail. Some with hate for Spider-Man brewing more and more each day.

Mac Gargon gazed at the news of Wilson Fisk turning out to be the man that ruined his life, right under his nose. This made him riot.

Mark Allen watched his happening terrified.

Other criminals put away joined into the rioting, upset their boss was discovered, and they be screwed over be this turn.

Harry sat in his room alone, beginning to realize his friends were drifting away. Not to mention his mother and father were becoming more distant.

The staff of the Daily Bugle were all put into overdrive. With all the work undergoing ahead of them as the city would need to be informed regarding updates that'd have to create.

One person had higher ambitions that were unlocked by this change.

Aunt May looked over more bills and began looking into getting a part-time job, which wouldn't make Peter happy, but it's essential for both their shakes. Along with not giving the young man more reason to run off, doing goodness knows what, right?

*Panning stops*

Back with Peter.

"Listen, MJ I'm sorry for talking about myself so much. I really shouldn't be. I'd love to hear about your life."

"Come on, Peter. My life is a bore compared to yours!"

"Maybe I find interest in boring?"

"Whatever, I appease your attempt at propping up my life."

"I only tell the truth. To you, anyway." Peter sighed. "Think I might just swing on home and sleep. Talk to you later, and thanks for always being there for me."

"Always will be and right back at you. Biggest heart in this city," She replied, hanging up.

Peter felt good and swung through the city.

These last few months might have been hard, and admittedly I'm totally going to regret saying this but, life is looking up a little. Any tiny victories are a win in my book. Always will be. All the people who care for me get me through the day and know I've changed some lives for the better. Me being here, protecting the city has made some people better off. In the grand scheme, that's all that matters. Hope your proud, Uncle Ben.

The end of the beginning. I admit, not sure how I felt about these last couple of chapters. This one in particular kind of gets experimental in some places. I think so, anyways. More could be said, but I don't want to ramble on for too long or criticize myself too much lol.

I've got mixed feels about the first "arc" what's coming next. I'm super excited to share the rest of the series more so as this was more "basics." and likely could've done more. Again that's my subjective feelings. Honestly afraid to look at this objectively lol. That won't be pretty, of course, I could be wrong. Your reading this, right?

For the future, this series will be taking a three-week break or month, depends if I get any constructive criticism as previously asked. Won't be much of a change as it was bi-weekly already as of late. My current plan regarding that is, one week is Batwoman, and the other is for Spider-Man. That was just to plugin that series. Check it out if you're interested it's somewhat jumping on point with some confusion if you made a good choice by not watching the series. Sorry if you get confused if you chose to read it.

Another important thing regarding the future is that a spin-off/side series might happen in the future related to The Avengers, as previously mentioned. (Likely going to not in the slightest take any inspiration from that pissy game going out.

I'm more confident I'll be able to pull all those projects off as my writing speed has increased, and I feel like a somewhat more competent storyteller.

Related as a series hinted toward on my home page, thankfully for me. The delays have allowed me to delay and rework that storyline into something better and well done. I hope. The character in question is essential to me, and I'll be upset if I screw her up.

The last thing linked to the future, I'm expanding work towards "Wattpad" unrelated to Superhero content. Not sure if I'm allowed to link, and quite frankly, I'll likely be embarrassed by it. I just wanted to share all of that to give an idea of my workload.

Thank you all for reading the first chunk of the series. Expect Arc 2 to begin soon and with a bang! I hope that my writing will drastically improve starting up this next section. It'll be interesting for me and maybe you to see how much I've changed from starting from now, more so when this whole series is finished! (Not for a while yet lol, this is the beginning after all)

One more, thank you. Have a lovely day/night/whatever. (:
