Legion's Future Season 01 Episode 01
We see that there was a beastlike young man standing in a large open room watching the news feed on a jumbo sized screen with the reporter on it stating "Neo Central Park is bracing for a crowd of well wishers today as the president of the United Planets will provie a special commondation to the superheroe group known as the Legion of Superheroes for all the amazing feats that they have preformed over the years. Currently being led by longtime member Timber Wolf, the Legion are loved and respected around the universe for their countless acts of heroism."
"Watching the news?" A larger guy spoke coming over asking about what they were currently doing seeing the feed playing currently.
"Ya, honestly I thought it was better to just do our hero work without all this fuss going on about getting medals and things." The beastlike young man spoke in response.
"Tell me about it." A girl with dark hair and a costume that was black and silverish metallic white in color spoke going over with a slightly annoyed tone. "Still it's hard to say no to mom."
"I'm not saying that we shouldn't be going, I guess I'm just nervous. Honestly I'm not sure if I'm the right guy to be leading. Compared to Cosmic Boy, Albedo, and even you Phantom Girl, those are big shoes to fill." The beastlike young man stated again.
"You'll do fine Timber Wolf, we voted you in as leader for a reason." The dark haired girl, Phantom Girl, spoke telling him he'd be able to handle it. "Still we should all be preparing to go down there."
""Agreed."" Both Timber Wolf and the other larger guy spoke at the same time about going to prepare to head out.
We then cut to four people running around a city at were fighting against each other. "Alright Lucy let's see what you've got." A Techno Organic young man stated as he'd prepared to attack a blonde young woman that stood in front of them.
"Bring it on Mal." The Blonde, Lucy, stated ready to handle things as she'd changed into a form that was similar to living mud and created whip tendrils with her hands and began to strike at whatever he throws at her.
"Very well." Mal answered back and began sending drones out at them and she'd started to strike at them causing them to crash as she did so.
At the same time this was happening a girl had split into three while being blasted at by a guy with orange hair and she'd been dodging around them calling "Gotta do better Lightning Lad." as she does so.
"Well Triplicate Girl, you want better, then you've got it!" He'd called and blasted multiple different lightning strike at once with her blarely managing to avoid it.
The city around them began to fade and soon we see that they were actually in a training room of sorts as alarms had started to blare and they all ran to the main area where Timber Wolf had been there pulling up the information. "Looks like we'll be meeting with Madam President early." He'd stated to them showing what was going on. "Let's go everyone."
We then cut to all the attacks going on and the Legion showing up in their own personal ship to blast at the strange machines attacking before dropping down to start to attack them blasting at the machines causing them to break apart as Phantom Girl phased into the president's private transport. "You alright mom?"
"Yes, I don't know why these things are attacking, but I'll certainly be glad once they're gone." The Woman inside the transport stated about being okay thankfully.
"Then I'd better get back out there. Land the transport so it doesn't fall out of the sky, my team needs me." She'd then answered back to the president which happened to be her mother and rejoined the fighting phasing through one of them and taking the engine part out of it as she went sending it crashing into another of the attacking drones.
"Lightning Lad, Malware Seven, protect Madam President from the attacking drones we'll cover you." Timber Wolf called out and the two nodded acting as body guards after the transport landed and they'd been getting her away from the fightning going on.
There was a strange red and green individual that had appeared ready to attack the Legion's ship and whoever was left inside piloting it and Mal blasted them with explosives that barely did anything at all. "Resistant to explosives." He'd stated at the thing began to shoot lasers from it's eyes.
They'd blasted some of the ground drones as they were shooting at them and the Legion was dodging. "Mission peramiters unacceptable. Destruction of targets impossible at this time." The strange robotic humanoid stated turning to leave the premisis.
We then fade off to the group at a building of some sort sitting in a room with a man in a suit who seemed to have been angry about something and Lucy calls out "Now that's just not fair!"
"The Government gives the Legion of Superheroes a free hand and we expect them produce results if you can't do that maybe we'll have to step in." The man had stated to them angering the group as he'd began hitting the podium that he was standing at while continuing to state "We can't have a bunch of loose cannons endangering the public or the President!"
"Escuse me Mr. Sikorski, but the Legion of Superheroes have saved more lives than you can count!" Timber Wolf stated standing up from his seat while leaning slightly on the table.
"Without us things could have been a lot worse." Malware Seven stated to them about what was going on.
"The President doesn't see it that way." Mr. Sikorski stated in response while looking over at the Bio-Mechanical being.
"Excuse me Mr. Sikorski, but who are you to presume how I may or may not see things!?" The President, who happens to be Phantom Girl's mother stated coming into the room angry about what she'd been hearing.
"Madam President, it is good to see that you are doing okay." Mal stated glad that she was unharmed by what happened.
"Madam President I"You are dismissed Mr. Sikorski."" The man began to say but was cut off by Phantom Girl's mom telling him to leave. "That means now." She'd then stated when he didn't start leaving immediately making him turn and leave the room while grumbling.
"Now, what can you tell me about this latest attempt at assassination?" The President then questioned about what was going on.
"About those machines and who that red and green guy that attacked was, no idea. However I don't think you were the primary target. Mal, can you replay just the audio file recording of when he left?" Lightning Lad stated saying that things might not be as they seem.
"Certainly." The Bio-mechanical blond stated in response and began playing recording of the video they'd taken of them.
"Mission peramiters unacceptable. Destruction of targets impossible at this time." The strange robotic humanoid stated turning to leave the premisis. The video recording had played showing them what happened.
"Targets, plural. The only person on the Presidental Transport was you right Madam President?" The acting leader then spoke asking about her transport.
"Yes, that transport was only short range from one part of the city to another and didn't need a pilot." The Madam President stated back about what was going on.
"So whoever this is, they wanted to draw out the Legion specifically knowing we'd go there to help. Good ear Lightning Lad." Timber Wolf stated about what they'd heard. "Mal, have you had time to analyze the tech?"
"I've given it a quick once over but haven't had time to do a full scan. However from the glance it is not something that I believe you are going to like." Mal stated pulling up the information on the damaged drone that they'd been able to take in to study.
"Oh hell no." Lightning Lad stated seeing the quick scan of what's going on. "Tell me that isn't what I think it is."
"What, you all look like the color's drained from your faces. What's the big problem?" Madam President questioned since she didn't understand what they were seeing. Well, her and Lucy who looked equally confused.
"I don't understand it either, what are we looking at anyway?" Lucy also questioned not understanding what they were staring at.
"We are familiar with this tech." Mal answered back about what specifically they are looking at when it comes to the drone. "Though it seems like a less advanced version of it."
"Imperiex." Timber Wolf then growled out the name in anger about what they were currently seeing because of the scan.
"I thought you said that the Legion of Superheroes completely destroyed Imperiex years ago?" Madam president spoke confused as to what she was hearing.
"We did." Phantom Girl stated back to her mother about what happened that day. "Amalgam vaporized them throwing him into the sun."
Suddenly an alarm had gone off and they'd pulled up the video screen to see just what was going on seeing more drones and vehicles had appeared causing trouble for the city. Most likely trying to draw out the Legion of Superheroes again in the process.
