Legion's Future Season 01 Episode 05
We see news footage showing us that there were things being under construction to rebuild with a reporter stating that there was a string of earthquakes happening. That was however, until another massive quake hit and caused the construction that was going on to collapse again along with damaging and tearing up the road. We then cut to Timber Wolf showing the rest of the stationed legionaires who were with him the footage.
"What happened yesterday was just the lastes in a stream of quakes that has struck most of the lands in the Northeaster Atlantic location." Timber Wolf stated to them about what was going on. "However none of the fault lines show any state of potential quake activity."
"Sisemic analysis shows that the tremors aren't happen naturally but appear to be caused by something on the North Atlatic seabed." Malware Seven stated picking up where exactly they'd left off at.
"Shot in the dark, you guys try asking the Atlanteans if they know anything?" Albedo then questioned as everyone stopped and looked at him in confusion.
"Are you saying to know where the fabled lost city of Atlantis is?" Saturn Girl questioned about what he was just talking about.
"I know where it was the last time I visited." He'd answered back casually about the whole thing. "We can take Ship there."
"Alright then, we need volunteers for helping the relief efforts, who's going?" Timber Wolf questioned about who would be helping the citizens in need.
"I don't exactly mix well with water, I'll go." Lucy stated saying that she'd help with the efforts.
"Ya, lightning and water don't really mix well so I'll go to." Lightning Lad then also volunteered.
"I'll go help also." Bouncing Boy spoke up also volunteering to help the efforts "With my skills piloting the cruiser I can help with debris.
"Count me in too, someone's gotta man the weapons system while Bouncy is flying." Triplicate girl also volunteered.
"I believe it best that I go along with them as well to help with cleanup and rebuilding to better fortify things against the quakes." Malware 7 also stated about going.
"Alright then, you guys will be on relief efforts. Albedo, Phantom Girl, Saturn Girl, Chamelon Boy, and I, we will head down to the ocean floor to see what's happening exactly." Timber Wolf stated as they'd all nodded and split off with Ship changing into his spacecraft mode and they'd gotten aboard.
When they got to the location to drop off Ship had converted his form into that of a Submarine of sorts and began to head down to where they last had seen Atlantis and discovered buildings and things in ruin. "Damn, this place has seen better days. I guess they moved it unless the quakes are affecting them too."
They'd been shot at and Ship in turn returned fire as everyone got out in aquatic gear to join in the fighting with Albedo calling "Terra-Jaws!" and transformed into an anthropomorphic sea turtle / fishman hybrid and began to spin his fins around like a giant fan creating a whirlpool that had blown back the people attacking.
Chameleon Boy had shapeshifted into a large squid creature and spun in circles smacking everyone that came near, that was until something had caused him to stop and turn towards someone in the water but then struck at them hissing about what the guy was trying to do. "Get out of my head!"
Terra-Jaws had swam over and struck the man with one of their fins knocking them backwards calling "Stop attacking us! I'm a friend of The Atlantean King Arthur Curry!"
The atlantean man looked at the symbol in front of them that was located on Terra-jaws and calls out "Atlanteans, stand down! I have seen this one's symbol in the old text left behind by Aquaman." with everyone stopping the fighting. "We apologize but our people are on edge ever since the quakes began. I am Namor, the Sub Marinor Arthur Curry was my ancestor who left writings of two heroes with your symbol. Albedo and Ben Tennyson, which are you?"
"Albedo Tennyson. We actually came to ask about them ourselves since Atlanteans in Aruthur's time monitored the seven seas." Albedo answered back about who they were. "This is Timber Wolf, he's the current leader of the Legion of Superheroes."
"Namor please, we were hoping the Atlanteans could help us discover what's cuasing the quakes so that we can put a stop to them." Phantom Girl spoke about why they were there. "We wanna work with you all."
"Hmm quite the.. tempting suggestion." The Sub Mariner spoke about the suggestion to work together and Phantom Girl backed up to hide behind Albedo.
"Sorry, already have a boyfriend." She'd stated to him while Albedo stood between the two of them.
"Prince Namor, every day the ground beneath us cracks!" One of the other Atlanteans stated to them worried about what's happening. "Our homes cruble and hundreds of us are injured."
"Now these surface dwellers appear, what if there is some sort of connection?" Another one spoke up next.
"Yes, Yes, what if they are the first wave of some sort of invasion?" The oldest of the three Atlanteans that had appeared spoke asking about them being the invaders.
"We are not your enemies." Timber Wolf stated to them in response "You guys attacked us first, we were merely here to ask if you guys knew anything about the quakes happening on the surface."
"The people demand action, we understand that you may have your own way of dealing with things given that you are descended of them, but the people may not see it as such." The youngest of the three then spoke.
The Legionaires then began to laugh before Albedo then states "Buddy, if we wanted to take out Atlantis I could do that by myself. We wanna stop the tremors that are happening, you wanna stop the tremors that are happening."
"It would make the most sense for both parties to work together for our mutually shared goal." Timber Wolf suggested to them.
"Agreed, according to the old writings Albedo was the most powerful ally of King Arthur Curry Auqaman of Atlanstis and his family. Any friends of his are freinds of ours." Namor answered back saying that they would do so.
"You should temporarily evacuate the city, there's an old Atlantean Seeker Outpost far enough from the quakes that everyone could be safe at for the time being. Once the quakes are over you can then return to your homes and rebuild safely." Albedo stated about getting them to evacuate.
"You want us to just abandon our home so that you can take it ov-er.. an.." The Eldest of the three spoke angrily at first but had slowly brought himself back down as he'd looked at Albedo's face and had grown afraid seeing the look he'd given them.
"Did it just colder?" Namore questioned having not seen Albedo's face but for some reason the water around them seemed to feel cold all of a sudden.
They'd evacuated everyone to the seeker outpost where the Guardian had been happy to let them stay since they recognized Ship and Albedo as friends and so the Legion left alongside Namor to discover the source of the quakes so that they could finally put a stop to it once and for all.
"I know every inch of this ocean floor, show me what your instruments have learned." Namor then told them with a map opened up for them to explain.
"Well, to start with current sonar imaging shows that there was a much greater crust damage in this sector, and the heightening of this ridge here." Timber Wolf explained showing them the information.
"The burning fields, they're brittle ocean floor riddled with misery and death. There's no place to live, but perhaps a good place to hide." The Sub Mariner explained to them as they'd gotten into Ship in his sub form and were now headed off in that direction. "I sense the evil of Attuma in this place."
They'd found the thing and began to fight with everyone around them "Namor, we'll handle these goons, you shut down that machine to save Atlantis and the surface!" Timber Wolf spoke as everyone began to fight against the other barbarians that were currently attacking them.
With a nod the prince did just that swimming over to the machine calling out "Attuma!" and slammed his fist into the guy working the machine knocking them back into the outer wall of it's casing.
"Your age betrays you Namor, I am stronger!" Attuma called striking back at them knocking him onto the machine with his back striking against the railing "I am Faster!" He'd then charged at them going to strike them once more.
Namor moved out of the way only just barely as Attuma called "I am"FINISHED!"" He'd began to yell but Namore cut him off and kicked him into the machine's power source causing it to break and the machine to collapse on top of them while the prince barely managed to escape. He'd lifted up their head when they found them under the rubble but there was no response and he then let them drop.
"Let's remove this thing shall we?" Albedo called out with everyone backing up and he'd slapped his bands together calling "Way-Jaws!" as he'd become a transformation that was a combination of Way Big and Ripjaws and then ripped the thing out of the ground completely with all of it's parts and crushed it into a ball throwing it upwards through the water before putting one arm up and placing his hand onto it firing a beam from the fin on his arm and vaporizing the machine completely.
We then cut to see that they'd collected the Atlanteans, though some chose to stay in the old seeker outpost with the guardian finding them rather interesting to talk with and enjoying their stories. The rest however were already starting to rebuild with Namor stating "Thank you Legion of Superheroes for your help in saving our home."
