Legion's Future Season 01 Episode 06
We see that Timber Wolf was talking to Albedo about something and the two were seeming to be a little heated about whatever they were talking about while inside the inner sanctum of the Legion's Watchtower, formerly the Front Lines Decomissioned Watchtower. The former of the two had struck the table while emphasizing whatever he was saying and the latter had his hands under his chin with his fingers interlaced with one another.
"I told you before, I'm not interested in just taking over so soon after getting back." Albedo stated to him about what they were arguing over.
"It's been weeks, how much more time do you need exactly?" Timber Wolf questioned with a growl in response.
"I don't know okay! Taking over the Legion again as acting leader is a big job and I just left being leader behind before returning to the Legion's time." He'd answered back stating that he doesn't want to take over again while taking a deep breath to calm himself down. "Look Brin, I'm tired. I spet over thiry years in my time and over twenty of that was spent acting as a leader. I needed to get away from all of that, I came back to the Legion's time for two reasons. Despite all the shit we've done my time with the Legion was way more relaxing than it was in the chaos of my time."
"And what's the others?" Timber Wolf then quesioned him what the other reason was that he came back.
"I missed everyone. But the first reason is why I don't want to be leader again so soon after coming back." Albedo stated to his friend and current leader of the Legion. "I'm exhaused from the chaos of my time."
"Fine then." The acting leader stated moving away from the table. "But you're still taking over eventually. Out of the entire legion you've always been the only natural born leader."
"Eventually." Albedo answered with a nod and sighed in response as he also began to get up to leave the inner sanctum.
"Hey guys! Sikorski is on the line." Bouncing Boy calld out to them waving from down at the monitor that the was stationed at.
"Oh great, what does that blowhard want now?" Timber Wolf questioned with a sigh as he and Albedo had flown down to see just what they wanted.
"Did you so called heroes pick up what just happened?" Sikorski questioned them about something that just happened.
"Our scanning instruments are down for routine maintence, we have Legionaires handling patrols while they're down." Albeod answered back.
"The Worldwide Scanners have detected a spike in tectonic activity. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, whole mountains erupting out of the ground. The best scientists don't have a clue, it sounds impossible, but it's as if the forces holding the Earth together just got tugged in three different directions." Sikorski explained to them showing them the damage.
"Well have Mal look into the matter." Timber Wolf stated hanging up on them. We then cut to sometime later as the Legionaires that were currently on Earth had gathered together to discuss how best to handle it.
"We've managed to find three major crisis points where the tectonic activity appears to be centered." Malware 7 explained to everyone about where they'd found the activity to be at it's worst. "It's clear that it's an unnatural shift something must be creating it."
"Something, or someone." Triplicate Girl spoke about what may actually be going on with the strange shifts taking place.
"Zodiac and Astral." Amalgam stated to the group and the others nodded agreeing that might just be the most likely culprit.
"Fortunately I left a little something that just might help us out here." Albedo stated to the group showing them a very small barely noticible white thing held between his thumb and index finger. "Spider-Man called it his Spider Tracer. I managed to tag Astral last time we met him."
"This tracer's setup is so primitive that there'd be no trace of it in any of our records." Mal stated taking a look at the little device.
"There's no record of them in my time either." Amalgam stated to them about the little device.
"The perfect little tracer, and there's only one way to track it without a Spider-Sense." The Biomnitrix wielder stated before gesturing over to the little Mechamorph blob as they were batting at the pointer stick that was left on a chair knocking it onto the ground before jumping up to where the stick had been and curling up.
"We'll split into four teams. Albedo, you take a team to follow the signal, the rest of us will find whatever is causing the disturbances and take them down." Timber Wolf then stated about splitting up.
"Fine, but a small group. Amalgam, Lightning Lad, Phantom Girl, and Saturn Girl are the only ones I need other than Ship." Albedo then stated to them and they'd nodded in response preparing to head out with the others going to handle whatever else is happening right now.
They'd headed off to find them with Ship tracking the signal of the tracer and were heading off to the exact location discovering some sort of meteorite was being pulled from the crack in the groun as the others were dealing with the machines and Ship blasted it blowing thing thing apart and dropped off the crew.
"Hey, Saturn Girl, remember when Lightning Lad and I played that little game with Tyr's crew last time I was here?" Albedo questioned getting their attention about just what he was up to. "You think you can do it again, but connect us all together?"
"I can try." Saturn Girl spoke saying that she could at least try to connect them all together. 'Testing, hello, can everyone hear me?' She'd then though after using her powers to try to connect them all together.
'Loud and clear Saturn Girl, what about the rest of you?' Lightning Lad then thought back to show that he'd been able to hear her.
'I can hear you guys.' Phantom girl thought out answering that she could also hear their thoughts as well.
'I can hear you all too.' Amalgam then thought back to them indicating that he had also been connected.
'Sounds like we're all patched through. They can monitor communications but not thought this is our best bet to catch them by surprise. If we see Esper take her out quick.' Albedo then also thought to them.
'Ship Ship.' The Mechamorp blob thought which actually did surprise them that she'd also been able to connect to Ship as well.
"Ship, you play with the drones while we deal with these guys." Albedo spoke as drones were sent out to attack them all.
"Ship Ship." They answered back and began to attack the drones, overtaking some making them attack and destroy or crash into them like a one blob wrecking crew.
'Let's go.' Albedo then thought as the rest of them went to the main enemy craft so that they could find and take them down as Ship was going nuts on the drones and other attacking machines. 'Phantom Girl, phase in and open the hatch.'
'Got it.' She'd though back and phased up into the machine finding the controls for the hatch and opening it up as they headed inside. 'All aboard that's coming aboard.'
The others then joined her in the craft as it was trying to escape the planet and they'd come across Hunter who'd been drinking something and spotting Albedo and Amalgam there together with Lightning Lad, Saturn Girl, and Phantom Girl, he'd just said "Nope." and proceeded to move to the hatch "Not gettin paid enough for this. I'm out." He'd told them jumping from the hatch and they'd close it.
'Well, that's one down. I'm sure Ship will have him taken down by the time we get back.' Lightning lad stated in thought to the others as they continued forwards when Tyr appeared alongside Esper, Mano, and Thayrok. 'Oh great, Esper.'
"Guys they're having a PsychaaAaAaAH!" Esper began to warn but was blasted by Lightning Lad while her back turned to them making her scream out in pain and drop to the ground.
'That's two.' Phantom Girl though out as Mano tried to attack but she'd phased through the cargo behind her making him strike it instead before then phasing forwards and kicking him in the face knocking him away from them and hitting his head agianst the wall behind him. 'Make that three.'
'That leaves Tyr, Tharok, and Astral and Zodiac somewhere else on base.' Saturn Girl though about the situation.
"It's like these guys are talking without talking." Tharok stated to Tyr as he was fighting against Lightning Lad who'd blasted him with a missile from his robotic arm and blown off their blaster arm at the shoulder cutting of his laser canon before then blasting Tharok into the wall.
'We should forget these small fry and go after Astral and Zodiac.' Amalgam stated to them in thought knocking Tyr out of his way and into the wall clearing the path.
'Agreed. Let's go.' Albedo responded and they'd flown off together with the others following his lead.
They'd headed further into the craft where they'd had to fight their way through drones and humanoid robots but eventually had found Astral and Zodia, the latter of the two stating "Mission Piramiters, acceptable."
'Ya, we'll see about that.' Albedo thought out as he'd slapped the two bands together becoming a transformation that looked like a humanoid robot who had clusters of stars inside the see through parts of their body. 'Atomi-X'
The two began to scan Atomi-X and the strain of doing so had caused their censors to crack with Zodiac stating "Error, Error, Mission Piramiters impossible. Error Error." and began trying to fight against them.
'You guys make sure the others don't interfere, Astral is mine.' Amalgam though to the others before charing forwards creating the energy shield on his hand using it like a spike knuckle and striking them digging into their cuircutry.
Astral had cried out seemingly in pain and then punched Amalgam in the face as the two took to fighting. Meanwhile Zoidac was freaking out repeating "Error Error, Fatal Error, Mission Piramiters Impossible, Error Error Error." while fighting against Atomi-X who'd knocked them into the controls.
'Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad, Phantom Girl, get everyone into the escape pods.' Atomi-X thought to the others who'd nodded and gone off to do just that. 'That means you too Amalgam.' He'd then though as Amalgam had slammed Astral into the console and was about to dig his fist into their chest again.
'Fine, but whatever you're gonna do make it a big one.' Amalgam though back and had flown off to join the others in getting away.
"I haven't done this in awhile let's see if I still got it." Atomi-X then spoke out loud as the stars in his containment suit had began glowing brighter and brighter. "HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA HAA-MEE-NA HA!" He'd called out gathering energy and we cut to the others watching the craft a distance away. "COSMIC WINNER!" They'd managed to hear before a violent burst of energy that looked like tiny scattering stars had shot out at all directions like a sphere violently exploding from the inside out and the force of the explosion had blown them back further.
"Holy shit!" Lightning Lad called out about just how violent that explosion had been and they'd flown over to find him seeing the scattered remains of the craft.
They'd searched thorugh the debris and found Astral and Zodiac as their circutry was badly damaged and most of the rest of their boddies were missing as they were disemboddied heads "Error, Error, Err-o-r Err-o.." shutting down.
"Damn, he really did a number." Amalgam stated taking the heads of Astral and Zoidac and flying off towards the sun throwing them at it at a safe distance as they burned up from the extreme heat.
"But where's Albedo?" Phantom Girl questioned moving debris finding him looking exhausted but otherwise okay.
"Let's go home. Ship, we need pick up." He'd spoken with a smirk into the com as Lightning lad helped support Albedo despite the fact they were in space he was having trouble keeping balance.
"I got ya big guy, let's go." Lightning Lad stated helping Albedo get to Ship when they'd shown up and everyone began to go home.
The rest of the Legion had wiped out the machines and everyone was once again safe for the time being. That meant that Amalgam was gonna have to return home to his time once more sadly and was preparing to head on out. "Well, wish I could stay longer but I got a Redhead waiting for me back in my time and she's gonna chew me out for being gone for so long." He'd stated to them and used his warp key to head back to his time.
"Now then, there's just one more thing to take care of." Timber Wolf spoke mischeviously with Albedo raising an eyebrow about what he was up to. "I call for a Vote of Challenge for new leader."
"Y'know what. I concur." Lightning Lad spoke agreeing with that as he figured they just wanted Albedo to take over as active leader again.
Albedo in response had inhaled deeply through his nose and exhaled through his mouth before mouthing out a word without actually saying it.
