Humphrey's Past Returns

Humphrey wakes up to Find him in a strange place and not remembering who he is or what happened. He finds a she-wolf laying next to him but he doesn't remember who she is as it's Kate who is laying next to him. Suddenly his dark side has returned to murder all those who are in his path. Chapter 1

The Darkside Returns

Humphrey's P.O.V

"No!?" A strange voice screamed.

I woke up in a strange place, and all of a sudden I felt something strange leaning on me. I look to my side to see a tan female wolf leaning on me. It looks like she is asleep, but her face looked as if she was crying moments before I woke up. I try to get up to escape but before I could get out the she-wolf wakes up .

Kate's P.O.V

I wake up to movement on my side that Humphrey's on, then I suddenly realized that Humphrey woke up. I instantly got up to look at Humphrey. I see fear in Humphrey's eyes.

"Do you know who I am" I asked Humphrey

"I'm sorry but I do not know who you are, sorry" Humphrey says.

I break down crying knowing that my-soon-to-be mate doesn't know who I am. Humphrey walks up to me and puts his paw on my shoulder to comfort me and asks me why I'm crying.

I tell him "you don't remember who I am, I'm your soon-to-be-mate." I say to humphrey.

"Oh well I'm sure I will remember who you are, in a little bit if you're that important to me, I'm sure of that." Humphrey says, trying to cheer me up.

"Thanks Humphrey, you're right and maybe I can help you remember." I say even happier than before.

I guess by the way who is Humphrey, he asked me. It's you sil- wait you don't remember your name!? I was shocked by the question Humphrey asked.

He shook his head and said no I don't. I feel really sad that my soon-to-be-mate doesn't even remember his own name. All of a sudden Humphrey starts screaming in pain and grabs his head then falls to the ground.

"HUMPHREY!" I scream and I run to Humphrey.

Humphrey's P.O,V

I woke up in a very familiar place then I realized, where was Kate, then it hit me. I have my memories back. Suddenly I hear a voice come from behind me.

"Hello Humphrey, long time no see."

I turn around to see a dark furred wolf with red eyes at the back of the den.

"Who are you and what have you done with my mate!?" I scream at the stranger.

"Don't worry Kate is fine, you're in a dream." The stranger says to me.

"Oh, wait, how do you know her name? I didn't even say her name so how do you know her name?" I say so confused. "

Isn't it obvious Humphrey, I'm you Humphrey, but I'm your darkness, your demons, your hatred, and all the other negative emotions you feel and I'm here to take over our body." Dark Humphrey explains.

No! I will not let you, suddenly my head started hurting and my evil side started laughing like crazy. You idiot, the concussion you got weakind you and broke me free, so thank you so much for freeing me. NO! AAAAAAAAAAAHHH! Goodbye Humphrey, see you NEVER! Have fun in hell Humphrey. Evil me said laughing. With the last of the energy I have left I woke up to warn Kate."Kate!" I say scaring Kate. Humphrey you're al- I cut her off as I do not have much time. Kate listen to me very closely you need to AAAHH! You need to run and remember that I love you but my dark side has returned and is taking over my body and will go on a killing spree until I can get control of my body again stay away ok promise me. I promise Kate says crying and runs away as I blackout.

Kate's P.O.V

I run to my parents' den to warn my parents, as I hear Humphrey's body fall to the ground. I cried the whole way to my parents' den. I arrived at my parents' den.

Winston's P.O.V

I was talking to my mate, Eve, when Kate ran in the den crying.

"What's wrong sweetheart?" Eve asked Kate.

Hh-hhump-hrey." Kate says sobbing harder.

"What about humphrey? Kate, what happened to Humphrey Kate." I asked as I see Eve look like she is ready to go kill something or someone. Kate was able to calm down and say this "Dad you remember telling me about Humphrey's dark side and when you first saw it." Kate says to me and Eve. Yeah why? Well that concussion freed his dark side and he will be here tomorrow morning from what Humphrey said to me." Kate says. I saw Eve's emotions go from ready to kill something to fear for her life after hearing that Humphrey's dark side is coming back. I called an emergency meeting with Tony, Hutch, Garth, and Lily. A little bit later Lily, Garth, Tony, and Hutch show up. Lily sees Kate in the back of the den crying her eyes out.

"What's wrong with Kate and where is Humphrey?" Lily asked her dad, very worried.

That's why I called this meeting, you see when Humphrey was younger h- then all of a sudden Tony screamed, it can't be, not again, please tell me he's not back!?

Unfortunately yes he is back Tony.

"Who's back, what's going on and how is this related to Humphrey!?" Both Garth and Lilly screamed at their dads confused.

"Humphrey's dark side is back." Kate says coming out from the back of the den.

"Ok and why is that bad." Garth asked

"Because Garth Humphrey almost killed me and Winston and he was a pup." Tony said to his son.

"But he also killed his old pack and I mean the entire pack." Winston added

"Oh yeah that is a problem, but how did you stop him before?" Garth asked.

"We didn't stop him, he stopped himself when he saw Kate." I say looking at Kate.

"What!?" Both Lilly and Garth say at the same time and turn their heads to look at Kate who was just as shocked as they were.

"Yes it's true" Eve says, shocking Lilly, Garth, and Kate.

"Wait what he stopped himself because of me?" Kate asked, confused.

Yes he stopped because he fell in love with you, Kate you're the reason his madness ended but I have a feeling this time it won't work.

"What do you mean it won't work this time, it worked last time!?" Tony asked Winston.

"Humphrey's dark side was freed because of his concussion, and I fear that Humphrey's darkside might be stronger than before." Winston says.

Humphrey's Darkside P.O.V

I woke up and saw that it's early evening. I got up and went out of the den to see some pups playing and I walked up to the pups and the pups knew who I was but they didn't know that I'm not Humphrey. There were 3 pups, I killed 2 of them, the other one tried to run to its parents but I got to it and killed it but at that point the parents knew what I was doing and already called for help so I killed them and waited for the other wolves to show up. A little bit later Tony, Winston, Eve, Hutch, Garth, Lilly, and Kate showed up to see the horrors of what I had done. Suddenly I remembered Kate was the reason I got trapped inside. I changed my target to Kate and started charging at Kate ready to kill her but in mid run my body stops moving then all of a sudden Humphrey takes control and tells Kate to run.

Kate's P.O.V

Humphrey started to run at me looking like he was ready to kill me, when all of a sudden he stopped and started to shout to run because his dark side is going to try and kill me so please go, but I- GO - NOW!

I ran away so I wouldn't get killed.

Winston's P.O.V

I watched as I saw Kate run away then I saw Humphrey who is still in control nod at me and then looked away when his dark side took control and ran after Kate. "Hutch get the best of the best alphas and stop Humphrey even if that means killing him and Garth you go ahead." I say as an order to Hutch.

"Yes sir." Garth says as he runs ahead

"Yes sir" Hutch says and runs to get the best of the best alphas to stop Humphrey.

I'm so sorry Kate, as I remember what I promised Humphrey.

Flashback

Three weeks before the attack.

Winston's P.O.V

"Winston, can I talk to you in private?" Humphrey asked.

"Yeah what's up Humphrey." I say walking with him somewhere more private.

"I want you to promise me that if my dark side ever comes back to kill me." Humphrey asked.

"WOAH!? Why would you ask me to do that? You are my daughter's soon-to-be-mate and if I did that she'd hate me for the rest of my life." I say, shocked by the request.

"Please if she could see what I'm really like she'll hate me for life." Humphrey asked, begging me to promise him.

"Fine I promise that I will kill you if you darkside returns" I say a little sad that he is asking me.

Flashback Ends

Kate's P.O.V

I'm running for my life and I find a cave that is well hidden and hide there. A few moments later Humphrey ran past where I was hiding. Suddenly Humphrey was in front of me growling at me. I backed up

"Humphrey please snap out of it, this isn't you!" I say with fear in my voice.

"Your right this isn't me (hits Kate in the face) this is me, a blood thirsty wolf that wants to feel the blood of my paws and face and you trapped me in a prison but I will not let that happen again." Humphrey's darkside says with anger in his eyes.

"How are you going to do that?" I said, scared of what he might say.

"By killing you." Humphrey says as he lunges at me only to the wall by Garth.

Run Kate, I can't you'll die and Lilly will kill me if you do die.

"Yeah, true, let's go together while he's out." Garth says.

"Yeah let's go and we leave together. I stop to look back where Humphrey is and says "Stay safe my love we'll meet again, I promise." I say then ran home with Garth.
