I don't own Loonatics Unleashed
A/N: Wow, it's been a long time since I last wrote for this fandom. I was feeling a bit nostalgic after reading LU works and remembered how much fun I had writing for this fandom. Originally, I had written a story 'Through Thick and Thin' mostly focused around Lexi. Unfortunately, due to loss on interest that story was discontinued. So I will make up for that with this one. Since it's been so long, the characters may be OOC but I'll try my best to keep them in character. Also, my OCs will make a comeback (hopefully better improved) but if they go down the line of Mary-Sues please let me know and I'll do my best to modify them.
Enjoy!
Acmetropolis. What a name for a city! Hopefully this city was good enough to land a decent job. The one thing that hadn't changed for many centuries was competition and it seemed that people got more competitive throughout the years. As for a newly moved in resident, he hoped that he was able to get through it and find his own way in the movie industry. However, it was harder than he imagined that it would be.
He hoped that with this new script that he had been looking over, he would at least have some form of a part in it other than playing a stunt double. He could just imagine it. Having played an amazing action-packed scene, with his name Ace Bunny written on the billboards and theaters and he would be famous just like his ancestors before him.
Ace Bunny wondered why he couldn't find that spark in him. He knew that he had it, but maybe other people weren't able to see it. The last thing that he wanted to do was to leave Acmetropolis and return home. Otherwise, he would he hearing his mother's constant 'I told you so's' and that was the last thing that he wanted to be faced with.
It was interesting how his parents were complete opposites from one another. His father was very encouraging, always telling him to go ahead and chase whatever dream he had. His mother though, she had dealt with plenty of competition throughout her life and she had tried to put that into Ace. However, being a bit laid back on certain issues, Ace never let that personality influence upon him. There was no need for competition when something didn't interest him.
Well, that was enough reminiscing for the morning. He should have gotten up earlier to get ready for the movie shoot. He quickly changed into the set of costume and headed out of his trailer and over to where the other actors were meeting for the shoot. One of the greatest things about this gathering was the free breakfast that was ordered for the cast. Though he wished that they ordered something with carrots but that carrot muffin that nobody was touching seemed very tempting. Maybe he ought to give in to the temptation and enjoy it before he got ready for work.
As Ace approached the table and took a muffin in his grip, he did a double take when he noticed a young honey colored female rabbit walking down the sidewalk across from him with another. A friend, he likely presumed. Wow he thought as he looked at her up and down. She obviously didn't have her attention directed towards him whatsoever, but his attention was upon her.
He hoped he wasn't being creepy by staring at her but he had never seen such beauty before. When he felt one of the girls turning her head and looking over, he quickly averted his vision to another object and whistled whilst walking away. When he was out of their sight, he shook his head and tried to gather his thoughts through all of that.
"Don't get distracted now, Ace," the rabbit whispered to himself. "You gotta focus to have this role at the palm of your hand. You gotta impress that loud-talkin' director and show him what you're made of…otherwise your ancestor ain't—"
The sound of thunder interrupted him as Ace looked up at the sky and noticed a flash of lightning rip into the sky. Why did it sound like as if mentioning his ancestor was more like a curse than a blessing? Great, just by the mention of him he had caused the rain. Many of the actors and actresses headed into their trailers and Ace decided that it was best to do the same. As he ran over to his trailer, he tried to pull the door but it wouldn't budge. He attempted again and again to pull the door open and upon the last try, his fingers slipped from the handle and his feet slipped from the stairs and into the ground.
Great…a rainy morning, on what seemed to be a good day, and he was out in the open getting drenched. He would consider himself lucky if he didn't catch a cold tomorrow morning.
Just my luck.
