DARvivor Isle Delfino Cast Assessment
DAR: "Welcome everyone to the cast assessment of the first ever season of DARvivor. This season 16 castaways will be competing in the luscious tropical Delfino Island for a million dollar cash prize. But only one can come out on top. Which one will it be? Let's take a look at the cast."
Name: Morrigan Aensland
Series: Darkstalkers
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Morrigan is coming in playing the classic Survivor flirt game. She's a succubus after all, and she told us in interviews that she plans to get her way no matter what. The difference between her and others who implement this strategy though is I think she actually has the cunningness to pull it off. Many of the flirts either get called out early or complacently let bigger players pull them forward, but I sense a fire in Morrigan that she's wanting to run the game. Whether she's successful or not is the big question.
Name: Charlie Cale
Series: Poker Face
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Charlie became a quick favorite of mine in the casting process. She's one of the oldest in the cast, which could set a target on her early on. But she can still hold her own pretty well with the rest of the cast, so I don't feel like it'll be too big of a problem. Her biggest draw though is she has the ability to discern truth from lies, which is a MAJOR advantage in this game. I'm interested to see how she uses it."
Name: London Tipton
Series: The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Oh boy. I don't think anyone in the cast is more a fish out of water than poor London. She's a hotel heiress, born with a silver spoon in her mouth. While she definitely falls into the exact stereotype you'd expect from that, she also seems like a genuinely nice girl deep down. But I can already see the early days of this game will be her biggest challenge, just from camp life alone. But if she can persevere, she might just surprise me."
Name: Lyndis "Lyn"
Series: Fire Emblem
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Lyn is a soldier, and physically is one of the strongest people in the whole cast. On paper I think she's built pretty well for Survivor. However, once merge hits I think she's going to run into some trouble. If I were to peg someone to get the 'challenge threat' target, it's her. But she also has a noble background, and with that comes skills in negotiation and delegation. She may just have the silver tongue to get herself into a good position."
Name: Gale Weathers & Sidney Prescott
Series: Scream
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Now since this is our first season, we're going pretty minimal with the twists. The major one though is not everyone is actually strangers. Both tribes have a pair with a pre-existing relationship, and here we have our first one with Gale and Sidney. To say these two have been through a lot in their lives is underselling it, but despite having vastly different personalities they actually make for a strong dynamic duo when they come together. However, I can easily see them but heads if they don't get into an agreement. Both are very strong minded women, and it's not unusual for them to have their own agendas even when working together."
Name: Arthur Read
Series: Arthur
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Being the youngest in the game, Arthur is maybe the most unassuming in the cast. But I think that can work to his benefit. He's not an immediate liability in terms of strength, and I can see him having a pretty decent social game. So he may just be able to fly under the radar, which can get him a lot of power if people don't see him coming until it's too late."
Name: Nick Wilde
Series: Zootopia
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Nick point blank has a criminal background, and he's really not that ashamed of it. He may have turned his life around as of now, but he still has the sneakiness of his days on the streets. While he definitely has a pretty solid moral code, I don't see him being too afraid to cut throats if push comes to shove."
Name: Captain Louie
Series: Pikmin
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "…ok I'll be honest. If there was anyone I would place money on not winning this game, it's Louie. He's lazy, he's really only motivated by food, and he barely even talks to anyone. I wouldn't be surprised if he's target number one on everyone's minds when it comes to his first Tribal Council. While there is a twist this season that can help him a bit in that regard, I'll be surprised if I see him still in the game come merge time."
Name: Edward Elric
Series: Full Metal Alchemist
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Edward has a lot of qualities that make me go 'oh yeah, he can win this'. He's smart, he's strong, he's charming. But what's going to hold him back is his explosiveness. He doesn't handle authority well, and lord help you if you poke fun at his height. I can see his mouth getting him into a lot of trouble if you're not careful."
Name: Benny Weir & Ethan Morgan
Series: My Babysitter's a Vampire
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Our second of two pairs, Benny and Ethan seem like pretty average boys at first. Though they definitely don't lead the typical high school life. Benny is a wizard and Ethan is a seer, and they deal with the supernatural on a pretty daily basis. I'm not sure how much their powers can come to use aside from Ethan's future sight, but unlike the Ricco duo these two are very tight nit. Just having a built in alliance like the two of them do can give them a major leg up."
Name: Party Hat
Series: Brawl of the Objects
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "Party Hat is the resident super fan. He loves reality competition shows, and he'll make that pretty well known. What I can see holding him back is he's the only non-humanoid in the cast, so his body type could definitely pose a problem in certain challenges. But he is very naturally likable, and I don't think he'll have too much trouble making friends out here. If he can put in a solid effort, I could easily see people swayed to keep him around just based on social game alone."
Name: Hana "D. Va" Song
Series: Overwatch
Tribe: Bianco
DAR: "At first D. Va may seem like someone in the vein of London who is very out of her league. She's the quirky gamer girl who's obsessed with mountain dew and anime. But that's all actually a front. Pull back the mask, and you actually have a very smart and sly young woman underneath. We've seen people implement the snake in the grass strategy before…to varying degrees of success. But I do get a good feeling about her."
Name: Sandra "Sandy" Cheeks
Series: SpongeBob SquarePants
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Based on strength alone Sandy should be fine for the first couple of rounds. She's a skilled martial artist, a brilliant scientist, and a natural born survivalist. She basically has the perfect trifecta of being a well-rounded Survivor player. But like I said with Lyn, I would definitely be concerned for her once people start going after the big threats in the game."
Name: Daffy Duck
Series: Looney Tunes
Tribe: Ricco
DAR: "Last but not least is Daffy, and I really can't get a good read on him personally. On paper, I think he could actually do decently well. Maybe not a master strategist, but if he can get himself into a good alliance early I don't really see people immediately targeting him. He could ride things out pretty cleanly…if he doesn't put his foot in his own mouth. Daffy's got a big bill and no filter, so if he rubs one too many people the wrong way, he can find himself in the hot seat."
DAR: "There you have it. The cast is set. Who will go all the way on our inaugural journey of Survivor? Find out on DARvivor: Isle Delfino."
