Mr Akashi

"They will be here this afternoon. I am about to go and get them, but before I go you should know that they haven't had very good lives up until this point. You're going to have to be gentle and welcoming, they will be like the five of you were when you first arrived. Okay?"

"Don't worry, we are excited to meet them." Said the boy with magenta hair.

"I will make sure they feel welcomed." Another spoke pushing up his glasses with a finger.

"I'm sure they will be happy here." Said another brushing his pale blue locks out of his eyes.

"I just hope they like sports!" Piped in the one spinning a basketball around on his finger.

"As long as they don't eat all the food." Said the last and tallest of the boys.

"I'm glad, well I will be back in a few hours with our newest family members." He waved as he walked out the door to a chorus of goodbyes.

Exiting the car he stood on the doorstep of the foster home, shuffling side to side a moment before reaching out to rap on the door twice. The door opened and in it's place stood a middle aged woman who had dark hair with streaks of grey running through it. "Hello Mr Akashi, please come in." He stepped through the threshold and into a clean living room. "I apologize I must have lost track of the time, I thought I still had an hour till you arrived and the kids are still in bed."

"No, I offer my apologies, I am early. The boys and I were rather excited." He smiled and she returned it. "That's quite alright, if you would excuse me a moment I will go get them please make yourself comfortable."

Miss Alita

Tap tap. Tap tap tap. "Kise, Momoi, Kimara." She called. After getting no response she pushed open the door and wasn't surprised at the sight that greeted her. The room was fairly large as it had to be with three double beds. There was a desk in one corner and a small closet. The sheets on the beds were all different patterns and it was on one of these beds that three teenagers were curled up under the covers and wrapped in each other's arms. She walked over to the bed housing the three teens and leant over the one closest to her. "Momoi, honey it's time to get up." When the girl didn't stir she reached her hand down and rubbed her hand up and down her arm. Normally she wouldn't risk touching one of the kids out of fear of scaring them, but today they really needed to get up. "Momoi" She tried again. "Momo-" She was abruptly cut off when the girls eyes opened and she yelped jerking backwards. "Momoi, it's just me you're okay." She watched and waited as the girl scanned over her before realizing she really was okay. "Good morning" She said and the woman couldn't help but smile. The other two were beginning to move and one murmured. "Momoi?" She reached down ruffling his hair before turning back to the woman in front of her. "Is there something you needed?" She asked hesitantly and wow did it break the woman's heart when she saw the wary expression that accompanied the tone. "Remember I told you yesterday, the adoption went through. You're new guardian is here to pick you up." The girls eyes lit up in recognition. "Oh, did we over sleep"

"No sweet heart, Mr Akashi and his family were rather excited and he arrived early." The girl nodded at the explanation. "I will wake them up and we will get ready and bring our stuff down." The girl said, already planning in her head. "If that's okay" She quickly questioned looking worriedly back at the woman. "Of course, I will see you in a bit." She gave a sad smile then turned walking out of the room closing the door behind her.

Momoi

Momoi turned to the two sleeping figures next to her, reaching over and rubbing their arms. "Kise, Kimara you guys have to get up." The other girl groaned rolling to face Momoi as Kise sat up rubbing his eyes blearily. "Do we have to." Kimara tried snuggling deeper into the bed but Momoi yanked down her blankets giggling. "Yes, we do" she said before her voice got a little quieter. "Our new guardian is picking us up today, remember?" The end of her statement had Kimara jerking into a sitting position and Kise's head snapped in her direction. "Crap I forgot." Kimara said leaping out of the bed.

"At least we packed our stuff last night, so we just have to change. Kise offered. Momoi let out a sigh.

"Yeah." She said before confessing. "I'm a-actually really nervous" she looks up to find four arms wrapping around her. "So am I" Kise said. "But we'll be fine" Kimara took that as her cue to chime in "I'm just a teensy tiny bit nervous you know just like this much" She said holding her fingers slightly apart with her eyes narrowed. Momoi laughed and Kimara saw that as her mission accomplished. She glanced to the side only to see Kise give her a soft smile with a knowing look in his eye. Kimara rolled her eyes. "Right well I guess we better hurry up and get down there then." She grinned hopping off the bed, knocking Kise off in the process. Ignoring his cry of indignation she went to her bag opening it and taking out her clothes for the day.

Kids

Before long the three were walking down the stairs each with a bag thrown over their shoulder or in their hand. They came to the dining room and met the eyes of the person who would be taking them to their new home.

Mr Akashi

The first thing Mr Akashi noticed was that the kids had a system. They walked down the stairs in a specific formation. First came the bubbly pink haired girl, then the girl with the dark and the watchful eyes swiftly followed by the blond boy. He could tell that they were each very different and he would have to change his approach towards each of them.

Kimara

Kise nuzzled my neck from behind me and Momoi had my hand in a grip like titanium. Mr Akashi has signed all the paperwork so everything's in order. Do you have your things. We nodded silently. Kise and Momoi had their eyes locked on Mr Akashi but I refused to look at him so I stared directly into Miss Alita's eyes but watching the man standing next to her out of the corner of my eye for any sudden movement.

Mr Akashi

They're all standing so rigid. Two of them are watching me like a hawk and the third looks like she is avoiding looking at me at all. I know they haven't had the easiest lives so far but I'm going to change that. We're going to love them. Do you have your things Miss Alita asks breaking me out of my thoughts. They all nod. In that case, I'll miss you guys she says stepping forward. I watch how she interacts with each of them. The pink haired girl, Momoi leans forward and offers the woman her hand which she gave a gentle squeeze. Next the blond boy. Kise, my brain supplies the knowledge. Smiles at her and holds out a hand and she repeats the process before starting towards the last girl, Kimara. She holds her arms open. Kimara awkwardly steps forward to hug her back. I step forward to greet my new wards and take their bags but stop when Kimara jerks back her head snapping over to where I'm standing. When she sees that I've stopped moving she steps back into the space between the other two teens. Her eyes flick to Miss Alita who she smiles at apologetically before whispering "bye." When Kimara jerked the other twos' eyes were on me in no time flat and Kise was angling himself in front of Kimara. It's so sad that this is how they react to such everyday things I think to myself. "Okay and remember if you ever need anything you can call me okay you've all got my number."

"Yeah" says Momoi.

"Okay well I guess you guys better get going then, alright bye kids"
