A/N: Sorry the majority of this is canon. I always end a Ch right before a big canon ep/part of an arc happens. And this did "Introduce" Mercury, Emerald, and Cinder aside from just being in the shadows.
I have a quick poll for Maelstrom Jedi of if Naruto should learn the Rasenshuriken. The choices are Yes. And: No Jutsu and Force are enough. It'll go down after 2 updates for each story (One more for this) or until the 3/4 episode of s3 of Ultimate Spider-Man for Ninja in the Web.
Chapter XI.
Last Time.
Meanwhile, Ozpin is seen holding a Scroll showing a "LIVE FEED" of the teens at the docks. He closes the video and opens up a communication.
Qrow.
Team:_
MSG: QUEEN HAS PAWNS.
"Hmmm…" He trailed off before looking out the window.
Unknown Location.
Roman walks into a large warehouse with a shadowy interior. He goes over to a table and places down a case of mysterious contents, sighing in tiredness.
"How very disappointing, Roman."
Roman turns around suddenly when he hears the voice. "Whoa! Hehe... I wasn't expecting to see you guys so soon..."
He sees three figures in the dark, two women, one man before the woman in the middle's eyes glow yellow.
"Hey! You were the ones who suggested working with those stupid mutts from the White Fang." He said having the woman chuckle.
"And you will continue to do so." She said as she summons a fireball in her hand and stepped out of the darkness with her two companions. "We have big plans for you, Roman. All we ask is... A little cooperation."
Now.
Vale.
The Dust Til Dawn owner is hanging a re-opening banner over his store before climbing down the ladder. Once getting to the bottom, he stumbles and falls as a young girl stopped beside him.
She has medium-brown skin and dark-red eyes. Her hair is light, mint-green with a straight fringe and bangs as well as two long locks on each side in the back. She's wearing two bronze-colored rings on her middle fingers as well as a pair of strappy high-heeled pumps. As well as an intricate white top and an olive-colored crop top, on the back of which is her emblem a stylized cut emerald. She also has white cropped pants with brown chaps that attach to her brown belt.
"'Scuse me, sorry. I'm not really from around here." She smiled as she helps him up. "Would you mind pointing me in the direction of this shop?" She asks handing him a piece of paper.
He nods and points behind her having her nod and walk away. She then stops at an alleyway where she heard a male voice.
"I knew you were lost, Emerald."
He has fair skin, and grey hair wearing a slate gray and black two-tone partial-zip jacket that covers his upper body. He also has a single notched belt with what appears to be a sash or bandanna draped over it. Protecting his arms are a set of rerebraces and vambraces.
"Mercury, I will seriously pay you to shut up," Emerald spoke as she produces a wallet with Lien and waves it in Mercury's face.
"That's not your money." Mercury deadpanned as she took the money out and dropped the wallet.
"But it can be yours for 5 minutes of silence."
"Mmmm... no deal."
"Fine," Emerald replied and walked away.
Mercury then followed after. "Whatever. You want me."
They walked several blocks before stopping at a used book store and walked inside. Mercury stops near the door to look at books while Emerald approaches the counter and rings a service bell.
Ding-Ding!
"Be right there!"
A male voice spoke up as Emerald looked back for a second before the shop owner walks through the set of double doors carrying stacks of books as he walks backward and out toward the counter. "Welcome to 'Tukson's Book Trade, home to every book under the sun!" He said dropping the books down. "How may I…" He trailed as he turned and recognized the two.
He has fair skin, short black hair, and is wearing a short-sleeved quarter-zip burgundy and black shirt with a visible white undershirt. His hair was cleanly cut, and he had noticeable sideburns, along with hairy, muscular arms.
"How may I help you?" He asked as Mercury looked over.
"Just browsing."
"I was wondering, do you have any copies of 'The Thief and The Butcher'?"
The man nodded at Emerald. "Yes, we do."
"That's great."
Tukson looked at her before speaking again. "Would you... Like a copy?"
"No, just wondering. Oh, oh! What about 'Violet's Garden'? In paperback?"
Mercury closed a book before glancing over. "He's got it. Hardback too.
"Ooh, options are nice."
"Eh, no pictures. Hey! Do you have any comics?" Mercury asked Tukson who pointed ahead.
"Near the front."
"Oh, no, wait! What... About... 'Third Crusade'?"
"Um... I… I don't believe we carry that one."
"Oh," Mercury spoke closing another book.
Emerald smiled before speaking. "What was this place called again?
"Tukson's Book Trade."
"And you're Tukson?"
Tukson nodded at that. "That's right."
"So then I take it that you're the one that came up with the catchphrase?" Emerald asked him as he nodded.
"Yes."
Mercury then looked over dropping another book. "And, what was it again?"
"'Tukson's Book Trade, home to every book under the sun.'"
"Except the Third Crusade."
"It's just a catchphrase," Tukson replied as Mercury glared.
"It's false advertising!"
"You shouldn't make a promise you can't keep, Tukson," Emerald spoke as Mercury activates a switch near the entrance causing the front window to darken. "I hear that you're planning on leaving. Moving to Vacuo." Mercury then activates another switch and the window in the front door darkens. "Your brothers in the White Fang won't be happy to hear that."
She smiled as Mercury activates the third and final switch, darkening the last window as he smiles creepily at Tukson. "And neither are we... You know who we are, don't you?"
"Yes." Tukson nodded at that.
"And you know why we're here?" She asked having him nod again.
"Yes."
"So... are you going to fight back?" She asked as he had claws come out of his fingers.
"Yes!"
Tukson leaps atop his counter. Mercury and Emerald back up slightly and he leaps at Emerald and slashes at her, but she dodges. He looks forward and is surprised at Mercury as he raises one leg for a kick.
BANG!
Beacon Academy Cafeteria.
"Whatcha doing?"
Blake, who was looking at sketches in her notebook jumped as Yang leaned to look at her. "Nothing. Just going over notes from last semester."
Yang then moves back to catch a grape that was thrown at her by Nora in her mouth. "Lame."
Nora giggles as she continues to toss grapes at Yang with her spoon. Yang catches the fruit with ease, giving Nora the thumbs up.
Naruto who was eating with his team looked back to see Ruby talking to the others with a large binder on having 'The Best Day Ever before looking back to see Shiki and Natsu wolfing down their food, even attacking each other when trying to take something off the other's plate.
"Why did we get on a team with them?" Haru asked as he took a drink."
"(Sigh) Because someone upstairs said they're our responsibility."
"Boooooooooooooooo!"
Naruto looked to see Nora booing a pun from Yang and threw a tomato at her before hearing Ruby.
"Look guys, it's been a good two weeks and between more exchange students arriving and the tournament at the end of the year, our second semester is going to be great! But, classes start back up tomorrow! Which is why I've taken the time to schedule a series of wonderful events for us today."
Naruto then saw Yang throw an apple over having Nora laugh as someone else got hit before a pie hit Weiss. "… Crap..."
Nora is shown to be the one who threw the pie, she sits down and points at Ren who has his head in his palm. Pyrrha's hand is over her mouth and Jaune simply sits staring wide-eyed while covering his ear with his palm.
Outside, Sun was talking to his teammate about what happened with Blake. Both missing food and drinks start to hit the windows as students start running out.
He has tan skin, blue eyes, and messy light-blue hair in the form of an undercut. He has a white dress shirt and black tie under a red jacket adorned with a wide, upturned, black collar and a silver reticle across the back. He also sports a pair of gray jeans with black padding strapped to the sides as well as black shoes fastened with straps instead of laces.
His attire includes black fingerless gloves and a pair of yellow-tinted goggles typically worn on his forehead.
"Man, that's harsh."
"I know, we were fighting side by side. She was super fast and I threw a banana at the guy, which sounds gross, but it was awesome."
"Nice!"
Sun nodded at that. "Right? And the best part is, she's a Faunus. But that's a secret, okay?" Sun spoke as his friend nodded.
"Got it."
"And not a, 'I'm gonna go tell Scarlet the second Sun turns his back secret', I'm talking secret, secret."
"Whoa, chill out, man, okay? I got it."
Sun narrowed his eyes at that. "You better. I just don't want to screw this up, you know? The people here are the coolest! No offense to you guys."
His teammate nodded. "None taken."
"They're just in here. I'm really excited for you to meet them. So be cool, okay? You're gonna be cool, right?"
"Dude." His friend deadpanned as he smiles.
Sun even swore he saw a shine come off them. "Good point."
They then enter to see JNPR on one end, Naruto's team on the other, Natsu laughing evilly with what appeared to be fire coming out of his mouth both on tables stacked up.
Naruto meanwhile was eating his lunch as team RWBY stood in the middle before Nora yelled out. "Off with their heads!"
Nora jumps down from the top of her tower, grabs a ridiculous number of watermelons, and throws them at Team RWBY.
"Yang! Turkey!"
Yang rolls over to the turkeys and sticks her fists inside them, proceeding to block and punch the melons as they speed toward her. Blake then leaps in front of Yang and picks up two baguettes. Yang then throws her turkeys at Pyrrha, who dodges out of the way and grabs a single baguette, leaving Jaune to take the blows.
Pyrrha and Blake duel in a one-on-one fight. Despite Blake's attempt to disorient Pyrrha with her shadows, Pyrrha knocks her back and throws three more baguettes at Yang, with the last knocking her down as well.
Ruby uses a food tray to slide towards Pyrrha across the table and hits a baguette back at her with the same tray; Pyrrha manages to dodge the shot but is unable to stop Ruby from knocking her backward with the same food tray. Ren and Nora then charge at Ruby, but Weiss intercepts them and uses ketchup to cause Ren to slip and crash with a group of tables that are launched because of the impact.
Nora jumps through these tables to grab a metal flag pole and attach a watermelon to it. She attacks Weiss but hits Ruby instead, knocking her down. Weiss grabs a swordfish and engages Nora in a one-on-one, but ends up being defeated after Nora throws her against a pillar, knocking her down, and causing the pillar to break. Before the pieces crush Weiss, Ruby jumps in and saves her partner. "Weiss, Weiss! Don't leave me! Nooo!"
Naruto looked up as he saw his team jumping over to fight as well before sighing as he caught a can of soda from the air. Yang grabs two more turkeys and duels Ren, who is wielding a pair of leeks. Ren is overwhelmed by Yang's reflexes and takes a lot of hits before being sent a few meters into the air by an uppercut.
He was then hit in the head by a watermelon kicked by Shiki as Natsu punched Yang with two chickens in his hands.
Nora intervenes immediately afterward and hits a baguette wielded by Haru who pushes her back and blocks a punch from Yang. Nora spun hitting Haru into the wall then uppercuts Yang sending her flying through the roof with her hammer but destroying the weapon in the process.
Blake gets back up to dodge the debris of the roof and grabs a link of sausages. She whips it at a disarmed Nora, throwing her against two soda machines. These leak some soda cans that Nora throws at Blake, who manages to dodge them all. Pyrrha then uses her Semblance of polarity on the puddle of soda, causing all the soda cans on it to rise after Blake, Haru, and Shiki barraging them with soda.
Ruby, the last remaining member of RWBY, then uses her Semblance of speed to dash through the food court, causing everything to follow her through the tailwind caused by her overwhelming speed. Naruto looks up just in time to be blown off his seat to follow the food. "What the heeeellll?"
Ruby spins like a torpedo, creating a hurricane of food that comes back at JNPR, knocking all four members out. Naruto hit the wall and slowly slid down before falling onto the ground.
Glynda then storms in angrily, fixing the cafeteria with her Semblance just before Yang comes crashing down through the roof, much to the amusement of the team. "Children, please. Do not play with your food!"
Ozpin approaches and places a hand on her shoulder. "Let it go."
"(Sigh) They're supposed to be the defenders of the world." She replied with a sigh.
"And they will be, but right now they're still children. So why not let them play the part?" Ozpin walks away from Glynda as the teams start laughing as they grouped up. "After all, it isn't a role they'll have forever."
Warehouse.
The White Fang is moving crates as Emerald and Mercury enter. Roman then looked over at them. "Oh, look! She sent the kids again! This is turning out just like the divorce!"
Roman approaches the two from behind and wraps his arms around them in a group hug. "Spare us the thought of you procreating." Emerald shivered in disgust at that while she and Mercury pull away from Roman.
"That was a joke. And this... Just might tell me where you two have been all day." Roman spoke as he produces a piece of paper as Emerald groaned. "I'm a professional, sweetheart. Pay attention, maybe you'll learn something… Why do you have this address?
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Emerald spoke as he walked back to them.
"Yeah, I would. Now, where have you been all day?"
"Cleaning up your problems. One of them, at least." Mercury replied crossing his arms.
"I had that under control."
"Two packed bags and a ticket out of Vale said otherwise."
Roman narrowed his eyes at the teen. "Listen, you little punk. If it were up to me, then I would take you and your little street rat friend here and…"
"Do what, Roman?"
Roman turned to see the woman walk to him. She has fair skin with ashen-black hair that covers her left eye. She has lipstick and violet eyeshadow a dark red, off-the-shoulders v-neck mini dress with yellow designs. There is a blue feather-like accessory on her right hip at the top of an open portion of her dress. The dress ends in an upside-down triangular tail in the back, ending just above the knees.
There is a quarter-circle-shaped keyhole on the dress' upper back at the same height as her chest. The sleeves end in a triangle shape, which is wrapped or tied around her middle finger, with the gold designs of the sleeve taking over at the wrists. Her fingernails are painted dark red.
She has a black choker on her neck a gold loop earring with a black gem dangling from it on her right ear. She has dark, glass, high-heeled shoes and a jeweled anklet on her right leg.
On her upper back, in the keyhole of her dress, she has a black tattoo of what appears to be a pair of high heel shoes placed sole to sole, forming a heart shape inside.
"I'd, uh... not kill them?" He said nervously as she walked to him.
"Cinder!" Emerald excitedly said to the woman.
"I thought I made it clear that you would eliminate the would-be runaway."
"I was going to…" Roman said before Emerald spoke up.
"He was going to escape to Vacuo! Mercury and I decided to take it upon ourselves to kill the rat."
"I think he was some sort of cat." Mercury mused, hand on his chin.
"What? Like a puma?"
Mercury nodded at that. "Yeah, there ya go."
Cinder raised a hand at them. "Quiet. Did I not specifically instruct you two to keep your hand's clean while in Vale?"
"I just thought..."
"Don't think... Obey." Cinder said as Roman was taunting them behind her back.
"Yes ma'am. It won't happen again." Emerald said looking down.
"And you. Why wasn't this job done sooner?" Cinder asked Roman as she turned to face him.
"Uh..? Eh..? Eh..? EHHHHH! Sorry if I've been busy stealing every speck of Dust in the Kingdom!"
Mercury then deadpanned at him. "You're an inspiration to every punk with a gun and a ski mask."
Roman narrowed his eyes at that. "Look around, kid. I've got this town running scared! Police camping out at every corner, Dust prices through the roof, and we're sitting pretty on an old warehouse with more Dust crystals, vials, and rounds than we know what to do with! Speaking of which, if you guys wouldn't mind filling me in on your grand master plan, it might make my next string of robberies go a little smoother!"
Cinder then walks up to Roman at that. "Oh, Roman. Have a little faith." She said as she places her hand on his face. "You'll know what you need when you need to know it. Besides, we're done with Dust." She finished before turning to walk away.
"O-OK, then what now?"
"We're moving. Have the White Fang clear out this building. I'll send you details and coordinates tonight." Cinder said over her shoulder.
"Coordinates?" He asked having Cinder look over her shoulder.
"We're proceeding to phase two."
Cinder, Mercury, and Emerald begin to walk away as Roman attempts to light a cigar, but realizes can't find his lighter. He looks at Emerald who turns back to face him and sticks her tongue out as she held up the lighter.
