Andrew and Aelita sat at the table, they were newly married. Andrew was reading the newspaper and Aelita was playing sudoku, Andrew got up. "Im going to get the mail." Andrew told Aelita, he came back and tossed the mail on the table. "My parents want us to come for thanksgiving" Andrew informed her. "We should" Aelita said to him, she remembered that night.
She remembered her dance with his father. "My Siblings will be there you haven't met them" Andrew told her. "Were they at the wedding? " Aelita asked puzzled. "Kayla was there, however she was too drunk to remember a lot of things." Andrew corrected her. "Well i'd like to meet them as well, also to see your parents again" Aelita said to him. "Ok I guess for our first time being married, we'll go to my parents for thanksgiving" Andrew told her.
"Yumi and Ulrich can house sit for us" Aelita said, "Ok let's go" Andrew said, in a week the two packed up their stuff to head to his parents home. The two drove for awhile, "let me give you a rundown, Ashley is the oldest. She kind of has an attitude to her, so don't take anything literal, Kayla is….how to put this. Very standoffish until she warms up to you, Timmy on the other hand. He's very vocal, sometimes misconstrues things and believes himself, so if he says something incorrect. Just nod and act surprised" Andrew explained to her.
They made it to the house, there was a giant metal garage. Andrew walked up to the door, *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* Andrew knocked on the garage door, "come in" A voice semi deep said echoing slightly through the garage. Andrew walked in while Aelita was slightly tidying up the car. She walked into the garage, it looked a mess with wood two by fours and saw dust. "Hi Mr-" Aelita said but was cut off by a big hug from his dad. "Aelita it's great to see my favorite, daughter-in-law" His dad said. "She's your only daughter-in-law" Andrew jokingly corrected him, "well it makes me happy to know she's my favorite" his dad said.
"Thank you Mr-" Aelita said but was cut off again. "Call me Shawn" He said to her. "Well Mr Shawn, we're happy to be here for Thanksgiving" Aelita gratefully said to him. "It's a pleasure, your brother should be over in a day of two" Shawn told Andrew, "thanks dad, we're going to see Mom" Andrew told him. "I'll be in, in a bit, also Kay fixed up your room for the two of you" Shawn told him. "That was nice of her, I'll have to thank her when I go in" Andrew said, "she's at work she won't be done until five" Shawn informed him.
"I guess I catch her when I see her, the two walked out of the garage. Right by the step was a small plastic greenhouse. "Whose is this?" Aelita asked, "it's mom's greenhouse she loves to plant stuff" Andrew told her. The two walked up the newly build deck and went to the door, *BANG* *BANG* *BANG* Andrew opened the door, "You scared the shit out of me" his mom said. "Well I had to keep you on your toes" Andrew responded. "Hi Mrs-" Aelita said being cut off by his mom. "Aelita, dear are you hungry? Call me Staci" His mom said. "A little bit, Mrs. Staci" Aelita said.
The two walked around the house, Andrew explained the house, and the two went into the room. The two watched tv for the night, Andrew fell asleep early. Aelita got up to get a glass of water, she went to the sink and pour a glass of water. The door abruptly opened. Aelita got startled and spilled a little bit of water on herself. "Oh my I'm sorry, who are you?" The woman said apologizing but confused.
"My name is Aelita" Aelita introduced herself, "Hi I'm Kayla, I remember you. I was a little out of it at your wedding but, I do remember you" Kayla said. "Sorry for startling you" Kayla apologized, "it's fine, shall we redo this tomorrow?" Aelita asked. "Deal" Kayla agreed. Aelita went back to the room, Andrew still cold out of it.
