Petunia screamed when Harry handed Dudley mail causing Vernon to look up from his newspaper and snatch the letter from Dudley. "Boy, did you get one too?"

"Yes, Uncle Vernon." Harry instinctively answered as his uncle's face turned purple. "Listen here, it's one thing for you to be a freak. Contaminating our Dudders is not tolerated."

Harry nodded confused. Vernon and Petunia went into the living room and started talking. "Our Dudley." Petunia looked solemnly at her son. "Is a freak."

"Not in my house!" Vernon yelled.

"No, they get sick. He must go." Petunia sighed. "We can always try..." Petunia wiped tears from her eyes, "For another. A normal child."

Harry found himself in hand me down robes and with as little new stuff the Dursleys could get away with giving him while they gave Dudley the best.

Dudley still got all the best stuff, it just had to be stuff he needed. Harry witnessed a three hour long tantrum when Vernon and Petunia told Dudley he isn't allowed any desert. Ever.

Harry was happy about Dudley finally getting what he deserved when he was shoved through platform 9 and 3/4ths.

Dudley followed Harry to a compartment in the back. Harry ignored this and sat down. "Move it freak!" Dudley yelled before pushing Harry out of the seat.

"That's no way to treat the Boy-Who-Lived." A blond boy spat while staring at Harry's scar.

The boy blinked and put his hand out to Harry, helping him up. "I'm Draco Malfoy. Of course we all know who you are."

"Umm why?"

Draco's face paled. "You don't know. You survived the killing curse. You defeated the Dark Lord."

"He isn't worthy of being called a hero! He's a freak!" Dudley yelled.

"Are you a stupid mudblood or something?"

"Mudblood?" Both Harry and Dudley asked.

"No magical parents."

"So what?" Dudley yelled.

"That explains why you are a terrible companion. Potter, let me show you what a real wizard looks like."

When Dudley went to hit Draco from behind, two people came out of nowhere and knocked Dudley on the floor before going back into the shadows.

"I'm glad that he isn't a real wizard." Harry mumbled as he looked at Dudley's shocked expression before standing beside his new companion.

Draco frowned at Dudley, "Awful fat, aren't you? What do you mudbloods eat?"

Harry thought for a second. "Are all mudbloods alike?"

"They come in all shapes and sizes. Pretending to be one of us when they steal magic."

"Is that why Dudley has magic? We live together."

"You live with that mudblood! My father will hear about this! Yes, you would be capable of more magic if you lived away from him."

During the sorting both Snape and Dumbledore choked on their pumpkin juice when they saw Harry Potter talking to Draco Malfoy, Crabble, and Goyle.

More pumpkin juice was spilt when Harry Potter was sorted in Slytherin.

"He better not be like his father." Snape muttered to himself. He would not have a James Potter 2.0 in his house.

Snape did whisper to Dumbledore, "The house is full of death eaters' kids. He can't room with anyone."

"He can't be alone either." McGonagall stated. "An older student may try to avenge their leader by killing him."

Snape arranged for Harry to have a private room near his quarters should anything go wrong. "Do not think you are special Potter." Snape chided. "This is an extraordinary circumstance."

After two months the teachers recovered from Harry Potter induced shock, so when all the teachers heard Harry yelling, "And look where it got her! Being a stupid mudblood got her killed. I wouldn't be an orphan, an unwanted orphan at that if she stayed where she belonged.

I do not claim that mudblood." Snape promptly fainted. Lily's son hated her and said she should've never been a witch going so far as to call her a mudblood.

Snape knew Potter was a blood purist. He had that unfortunate reality smack him in the face with what conversations went on in the common room. But disowning his mom, that was cold.

McGonagall helped Dumbledore tend to Snape before the teachers decided what to do.

The-Boy-Who-Lived, a blood purist, that's a political disaster waiting to happen.

Snape refused to interact with Harry in any way. He wouldn't pamper the boy, but he wasn't going to try reeducating him either.

If that Hufflepuff Dudley wouldn't be such a lazy brat, this may have never happened. There's been multiple times Snape caught him picking on others. Always smaller and weaker.

Taking away house points or giving detentions wasn't enough. Even Dumbledore was ready to strangle the boy.

After learning he was Potter's cousin, Snape now saw what Potter saw in the blood purist ideology. He just hoped Potter came to his senses.

"Who calls their own mother a slur?" Snape didn't know if Lily being dead made it worse or better.

Snape decided that as long as he didn't have to deal with Potter, he didn't care what ideology he had. At least he wasn't like his father after all.
