Clashing with Writing Terror

Naruto and Havel took stances. The dragon had finally appeared, and Naruto had to admit this was quite the intimidating figure.
Living up to his name, he quickly saw him wave his hand around and saw things popping out of the ground.
Thinking on his feet Naruto dashed to the right side of the room, avoiding the oncoming spikes on the floor.
Havel on the other hand just put his shield down and casted some blessing on himself, there the crystals hit his shield and while they pushed him back, he did manage to hold out to the brunt of the attack.
"Seath!" Havel charging through the crystals, "Today is the day I finally end you!"
"Whiskers on the shores! Ending with the sound of milky bones!"
Naruto sweat dropped but got into position, behind the dragon. He dashed to its back but found himself cut off.
The beast saw him coming with its slithering tail slapping him backwards.
Naruto grunted but landed on his feet while Havel, he slammed into the front of the beast with the full might of his shield.
"Seeing ducking flies is sad for the moomoo!"
The tail struck out again, this time coming for a downward slam. But Naruto managed to roll to the side of the attack and lash out with his sword. This time cutting the flesh of the tail and making Seath shriek.
"Cosmic origins are center to understanding the lady parts!"
Havel slammed his club into its stomach,
"Quit speaking you fucking lizard!"
The dragon growled before holding his hand out.
Havel held up his shield but found something hitting it and making him dig his feet into the ground. He was trying to stop himself from falling over but it was too much, leading to him falling backwards rolling into the wall.
"Fuck!" He coughed, looking up, and growling. "You are fucking dragon! I always knew you created more sorcery than you released!"
Naruto slashed at the tail again and this time he was able to cut all the way through making the monster shriek and roar.
"Raining cats and dogs!"
Now that was a phrase Naruto was familiar with, but he had no time, a bolt of lightning missed him by a few inches. Seeing that Seath was holding his hands up, creating a storm cloud above his head, he saw that he was targeting them with lighting attacks.
Dashing around Naruto watched for indications of where the bolt was coming next, luckily the floor darkened a bit, meaning this is where he was going to hit.
But he knew that he won't always be fortunate, or he could change up the speed of his attacks if he really wanted to.
After dodging at least four bolts of lightning suddenly ice pillars appeared on the floor making Naruto jump back and check on Havel.
"You okay?"
"Yeah damn dragon caught me off guard." He stood with his shield up and his club on his shoulder.
"Seems like he has more to show than we thought."
"Of course, damn dragon probably created a wide variety of spells and hoarded them here to make sure no one dared to challenge him with magic." He growled, "But then again he didn't count on this." He started chanting something and soon both were covered in a white luminous glow.
"Woah what is this?"
"A blessing I learned, not widely used but it helps shield us from his magic, meaning he won't fry us on the first hit."
"You didn't think to warn me about this or use it before we got here!?"
"We were in a hurry."
"Damn it this would have been helpful soon-,"
Both men rolled out of the way of a powerful ball of fire that hit the ground.
"Okay so you can use pyromancy huh?"
Naruto looked at the scorch mark and narrowed his eyes, "Or an off branch I guess?"
"Not really," Havel growled, "He infused his magic into the attack meaning that this is more magical flames than actual pyromancy. Damn dragon never could learn other arts other than the ones he created."
Naruto smirked,
"Is that right?" Naruto held his hand up and gathered his flame. "Then shall we see whose flame is stronger?"
Havel turned, and then grunted.
"So, you know the way of the Witch do you?"
"Yeah but I don't think now is the time to give you the history lesson."
"Just hit him with everything you got!"
Naruto nodded before rushing at the monster yet again. But he saw this coming and created an ice wall infused with crystals around his body.
Havel slammed his club into this wall, and it shook his entire body.
"Damn it!"
"My turn!"
Naruto pulled his hand back and poured more power into the fireball making it even bigger and hotter, before chucking it.
The ball of flame hit the dragon in the torso making it screech,
"The pancakes are burning! The pancakes are burning!"
The wall of ice and crystal collapsed do the dragon falling backwards from the attack. Leading to Havel swinging his club into the stomach of the monster making it lurch over.
Naruto rushed to the side and slashed at the creature's neck, causing it to cut through the tough skin.
'Too shallow.'
The dragon grabbed Naruto and flung him across the room.
Naruto grunted as his back hit the wall and he fell to the ground with a thud.
'Fuck that hurt, then again he is a great dragon whether he has the scales or not.'
Naruto got back to his feet and saw Havel had slammed into the dragon some more with his club making it lurch and fall forward but it quickly retaliated with waves of magic spells and power.
However, it opened its mouth and Naruto saw that it was condensing something inside of it.
'What is it-,'
"Naruto! Seath is trying to gather all the magic he can and fire it out as a large beam! The amount he is gathering is enough to wipe out the entire area!"
'Shit!'
Naruto quickly gathered more flame into his hand and dashed to the dragon.
The creature saw him coming and waved its hand, making stone rocks appear out of the ground.
Naruto dashed around the rocks, before jumping up the last stone rock pillar it created and throwing the fireball straight into the dragon's mouth.
The flaming ball flew, and Seath tried to wave his hands frantically to stop it. But it was too late, as the ball reached his mouth and hit the large energy gathering in his jaw.
The creature roared and soon a massive explosion ripped through the arena, making Havel and Naruto fly back. Havel hit the wall with a grunt while Naruto hit the wall and almost screamed from the sudden sharp pain.
'Fuck that was probably stupid.'
"YOU ARE FUCKING THINK!?"
The smoke covered the arena and Naruto slowly got to his feet but noticed that metal arm was twitching.
'Of all the things that can go wrong,' Naruto sighed, 'Well hopefully that attack weakened the dragon that we don't have to fight him for much longer.'
"Naruto did you forget? That dragon not only is a grand master of sorcery. But he is also a possessor of one of the Lord Soul Fragments. Meaning his power is amplified even further."
Naruto paled a bit, he forgot about that. If he got a fragment of the Lord soul in him then his power had to be greater than just what they have seen.
The smoke cleared, Seath, he was standing there with some minor cuts and bruises all over his body. He growled and stood tall once more.
"Guiding piggies to the house of fire, bring forth ends with sands asunder."
He held his hand out and a long blue great sword appeared in his hand. It had a light blue tint to the blade and its handle was wrapped in a black binding.
"Well shit, this looks bad." Naruto sent away his katana and summoned Dragon Slayer into his hands and heaved it. "But this just means it is time to slay you with the blade that has the name's sake."
Havel stared at the sword, and he could see something on the weapon.
'Could it be?' He shook his head before standing against the dragon once more. 'I shall ask later.'
"Flying squids squirt across the heavens on the wings of peacocks!"
The dragon heaved his sword up in the air, and a light blue glow soon coursed through the weapon. It then pointed the tip of the sword at Havel.
"Death to the monkey's slaver!"
Havel held his shield up and pushed forward.
But a powerful beam of blue energy slammed into his shield and pushed him back into the wall. Havel grunted from the pressure of the attack and tried to push forward, but nothing was happening.
Naruto dashed to the dragon and brought his weapon in a wide swing from his right side.
With a roar he tore through the air and slashed his blade against the bottom of the dragon's crystal body.
But the blade bounced off the crystal bottom leading to Seath's tentacles slapping him away.
'Shit, his body is a lot harder than I thought.' He gained his footing and saw Havel struggling to get close as the dragon fired another pure blue beam of magic at him. He blocked it with his shield, but the pressure was starting to wear on the man known as the rock. The attack was relentless and soon he fell to one knee.
Naruto held his hand up and summoned a giant fireball into his hand, before flinging it at the dragon.
It slashed through the fireball and summoned more blue energy into his sword.
"Death to the monkeys of Sparta!"
Naruto dashed at the dragon but soon the blade's glow changed. The blue light changed form and soon took on a yellow hue.
The dragon roared before slithering closer to him and slashing. Naruto met his strike in mid-swing, and the clash released a large bang.
Naruto screamed and was sent backward due to the power of the sword, making him fall on his back. His body spasmed uncontrollably, his nerves were on fire, and his body was unwilling to answer his demands.
Trying to stand proved to be difficult while the dragon seemed to be laughing, gloating at his success, before holding his sword up again and gathering more energy into the blade.
'What is that energy? Is that just him gathering magic out of the cave?'
"Possible but from the looks of it he is maybe charging the sword and then using whatever is stored inside of the blade to attack?"
'Yes that is what I can surmise as well. The hue changed when he channeled into his sword before launching his strike. When it clashed with your blade it released the power inside of the weapon and fired lightning through your entire body.'
'Yeah figured that out.' Naruto slowly got back to his feet and sighed, before taking a drink of his estus flask.
The sword changed color once more but this time turning red.
'That probably means fire.' Naruto smirked, 'Perfect I can use that against the big lizard.'
Kurama sweat dropped knowing this is going to be one of his crazy moves, which should get him killed but knowing his luck, he will survive this. He sighed, sometimes he wondered if there was a screw loose in his head.
Naruto quickly summoned a small flame into his hand and watched as the dragon approached him, it was dragging itself across the floor with its wings barely flapping behind him. His white skin seemed to shine brightly thanks to the crystals in the room, but he wasn't focused on that.
He was watching as his sword was raised above his head and he swiftly brought it down.
'NOW!'
Naruto released a torrent of flames into the sword, making it contact the flames being released from the weapon.
A large explosion roared from the impact of the two fires contacting one another. The dragon screeched in pain and slowly pushed away from the original spot.
Naruto on the other hand was gritting his teeth in pain.
'Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck it hurts.' Looking down he saw his hand and he could only continue to curse, 'Great my hand is fucked. Not only is most of the skin missing from my fingers but some are even broken. I can't move most of them and that means I must swing my sword with one hand. Great just fucking great!'
Naruto looked at the dragon and saw that he was missing one of his hands and the sword was lying on the ground while it screeched at the pain.
'Well, the good news is that I took the sword out of his hand but still this fucking hurts.' Naruto put his sword down and quickly drank one of his estus flasks.
But his hand didn't heal.
'Shit is this something beyond that!?'
'Naruto I think that it takes more than just one drink of the flask to be effective or it takes the practice of a specialized healer. Unfortunately, we don't-,'
Naruto grabbed his blade and rolled backwards, avoiding a strike.
The dragon was screaming at him,
"Roaring mice should be given oral transplants!"
'Don't know what that means but I can guess he is pissed that he is missing one of his hands.'
"Oh really, what makes you think that?"
'Shut up sarcastic fox.'
Naruto got to his feet and gripped his blade with his damaged mechanical hand. 'Shit this is going to be difficult but if I can just time this right, I can use the momentum to carry my swing.'
He sighed, before rolling again, avoiding one of the tentacles.
However, the dragon roared as he stumbled for a second. Turning his head he growled,
"Havel!"
"Don't forget me Seath you worthless sack of shit! I'm here to end your reign of tyranny once and for all!"
"Fucking pig guts of the Alabasta continent!"
Havel swung his club once more, slamming it into one of his tentacles, making the dragon scream but then holding out his remaining hand. A powerful ice crystal formed, before sailing through the air and hitting Havel's shield.
But thanks to the blessings he managed to block the attack before slamming into him once more and hitting him int the core of his lower body. This led to the dragon roaring and releasing a torrent of crystals and sharp metal spears. They came up from the ground, but Havel was able to get around the attack before slamming his club into the dragon's stomach. However, the attacks proved fruitless as the dragon just blasted him away with a gust of wind.
Naruto grunted at the pain and quickly pulled up the blade with his damaged arm. But the hand was struggling to grip the handle and hold it up properly. He did manage to heave it onto his shoulder, but he could just feel the weight on him and the fact that he didn't have his other hand to work with was even more troublesome.
Luckily Havel was able to push into the dragon again and this time it stumbled over.
It released another beam of pure white energy at Havel who blocked it with his shield, but this beam was far more powerful than before and pushing him to where digging his feet into the ground didn't help. Forcing his body to slide against the floor and his back hitting the wall with a thud. The shield was shaking in his hand due to the immense pressure being released at once.
Naruto finally pushed forward with the blade on his shoulder and a grin on his face.
'Time this just right and I'll-,'
A tentacle wrapped itself around Naruto and his eyes widened.
'Shit.'
He felt the tentacle move up, sending him flying into the ceiling. He grunted from the pain and could take the blood pouring into his mouth.
'Not yet, I still have to have to win.'
The Butterflies memories, the others in the cave, the dragon in the sewer, those poor priestesses that were transformed, and Gwynevere. Just thinking about all of them, everything that he did, it just lit a fire in him he didn't have before.
"Now you die Seath!"
Naruto pushed off the ceiling and start spinning in a circle with the blade fully extended.
The dragon turned his head and roared, while releasing a powerful white beam of magic. The attack hit the blade in mid-spin, but Naruto could feel his body being burnt by the energy being released.
But he roared, spinning through the air, ignoring the tearing of his flesh, the cracking of his bones, and the feeling of his body giving up on him. He just focused on the dragon, aiming for his neck.
It released more of his beam of magic and tried to push Naruto's spin to a stop or to kill him before he can land.
Havel, slammed into the dragon once more and slammed his club right into the glowing crystal on the bottom half of the dragon before slamming his shield into his flesh. Making him screech in pain,
"Naruto finish him!"
With one mighty roar Naruto soared through the air and his blade contacted his neck. The blade struggled at first but tore through the tough flesh of the dragon in seconds, cutting through his spine, and pushing completely through.
Naruto passed through the dragon and crashed into the floor rolling around until he came to a complete stop on the ground.
'Fuck, my body.' Naruto groaned, 'My ribs are definitely broken.'
Seath's head hit the ground with a massive thud and his body fell over in a slump.
'Finally, he's dead.'
"Naruto, thank you." Gwynevere was in tears, "Finally the monster is gone, and the world is a safer place."
Naruto grunted, 'Yeah glad I could-'
His head hit the ground and his mind went blank.
On the other side of the room Havel collapsed to the ground and groaned.
"My blessings held out, Gwyn your pet is no more. I wish I could see the look on your face." He smiled under his helmet, "It would have been worth it."
Falling over Havel passed out from his injuries catching up to him.
In the darkness of the cave, no one sees the bright blue sword glow, turning into a small particle of dust, and slowly floating over to Naruto.
It shined brightly for a few seconds, before vanishing into nothing.
Quelag and Quelanna enter the chamber and see both men's condition.
It had taken them longer to get here but luckily they arrived just in time, to find both men unconscious from their long-prolonged battle with the dragon Seath and now passed out on the ground.
"Quick we need to get them back to the capital and get some treatment."
Quelanna nodded before rushing over to Havel, removing his armor to make him lighter to carry, and heaving him onto his back.
"Alright let's get moving."
In the recess of Naruto's mind Gwynevere noticed a bright light that formed in the middle of the mindscape. It was glowing with an unusual brightness and radiated a power she had not felt before.
"So, this is the Lord's Soul?"
Gwynevere nodded, "Yes this is a part of it at least. The other fragments are with the Four Kings."
"Geez after this fight the kit might need to take some time to train himself up and learn some new tricks of the trade. This fight was far too close for comfort, and I fear what is going to happen to him if he doesn't start working out."
"Indeed, but I fear something worse, the Lord Souls themselves. What is happening to them and what is Naruto seeing in them?"
Kurama shook his head, "I'm sure the kit will tell us in time but for now our best bet is just to wait. Come, we should get to work on moving around the souls to help increase his overall abilities to hopefully survive the next encounter."
Gwynevere nodded before retreating to the forest to begin her work, never seeing the Lord Soul moving ever so slightly, as if it was looking at them.
One bright flash and then it returned to being unmoving.
