Getting Jake, Chrissy, Norm, and Grace won't be an easy feat. They have to sneak in and out from Hell's Gate, and search them through the base to find the holding cell. Luckily, Tech provided them a map of the facility, showing them the entrances and possible exit in the RDA's base. Tech will mess up the security once they reach the base. But they have to be quick, because it turns out, the RDA is booting up security, making sure to find any viruses or malware that somehow got into the system. They only have a few hours to get to the others and bring them to safety.
But before they could go in.
They have to suit up.
Foxtrot built stealth suites that can help them move through the base undetected, hiding their heat signature, and cannot be sensed by the security's detectors. Making them practically invisible. Spider-Man gets a new stealth suit, much to the awe and excitement of the Spider hero.
Neytiri and Tsu'tey wish to help as well. Both Jake and Chrissy are part of the Omatikaya.
"Okay, here's the plan." Dark shows them the holographic image of the base's structure that Tech sent them. "The RDA placed them in a holding cell near the armory, and exit is where all their aircrafts are."
"So, our best bet is going to the back entrance, that's where all the supplies are coming in and out." Marco suggested, showing them the back entrance was big, and filled with guards. "Even if there are many, we'll easily slip through when the distraction takes place."
"What distraction?" Spider-Man asked Dark, wearing his new Spider-Man stealth suit.
"Celtic, Chopper, Ahraan, and Wolf will cause chaos around the base while Destiny causes trouble inside." Dark shows the image of all sides of Hell's Gate. "When they cause the distraction, Tech will disable the images near the holding cell. Once she does so, we sneak in, break them out, and ride back to the Hometree."
"What about Trudy?" Owen asked, referring to the pilot that was with Jake's group.
"She's coming too, along with Chrissy's friend named Mackenzie Brooker." Dark shows the images of two expert pilots. "After examining the two pilots, they show no loyalty for the RDA. Because they know they are working for the wrong side."
"And then when we get them out, we'll prepare barriers to protect the other Na'vi villages." Owen said, changing the screen to reveal the location of other Na'vi villages in the forest. "Eytukan is going there with some of his warriors and some of our soldiers, to warn the villages of the RDA's plans."
"Agreed." Dark said before she notices Destiny coming to view. "Dest? Is there something you want to talk about?"
Destiny didn't say anything. Instead, she walks towards them and presses a file on the screen, revealing a woman named Paz Socorro.
"Paz Socorro? Who's that?" Spider-Man asked in confusion.
"Says here, she's a pilot on one of the scorpion gunships." Dark reads out, "She's also one of Colonel Dipshit's soldiers."
"Why are you interested in her, Destiny?" Owen asked her.
Destiny was silent for a short while before finally speaking in a raspy voice. "Preg...nant..."
Silence filled the room. They were giving her different expressions. Spider-Man, even though he's wearing a mask, stared at her with wide eyes while the rest just stared at her. The situation has now changed. If there's a pregnant woman, they have to get her out of here, for her sake and the baby.
"Okay, change of plan, while we rescue the others, Spider-Man you'll try to find Socorro, and use the knockout spray on her. She won't be an easy woman to convince."
"Right...but...where is she exactly?" Spider-Man asked, still not familiar with the RDA's soldiers and pilots.
"That's why, these two will help us." Dark shows the pictures of Turdy and Mackenzie, "I have a feeling they will help us on our mission."
"Can you believe this bullshit!?" Mackenzie exclaimed.
Mackenzie and Trudy were in Freefall, Mackenzie's jet, talking about Selfridge and Quaritch's unjust decision. They believe that Jake and his group tipped them off by informing the Omatikaya about their plans. That's not all, they probably knew about the beasts that Omatikaya may have brought to defend themselves against their attack. Because of those beasts, they lost half a dozen bulldozers and gunships. New shipment of materials won't last for a few more years. Quaritch questions them, but ends up with nothing since they have yet to know about the 'creatures' (which is a lie since they promise to keep it a secret). But in the end, they were still imprisoned.
"I know, we can't let those bastards lock them up." Trudy said in agreement, devising a plan to get Jake, Chrissy, Grace, and Norm out of there.
"Glad that we're in the same group." Came Dark's voice.
The two women were startled to see Dark, sitting on the cockpit of the jet, staring at them casually. Trudy took out her wasp handgun and pointed towards Dark, ready to shoot if she tried anything. Dark was not fazed by this. Instead, she simply stares at them.
"Whoa, calm yourself, soldier." Dark said casually, leaning back on the chair. "I'm not here to cause trouble."
"Who are you?! And how the hell did you get into my jet?" Mackenzie demanded.
"I keep your voices down." Dark said in a cold tone. "Otherwise, they will find out."
Trudy and Mackenzie were silent at first. They knew that she was talking about the RDA. Everyone is on edge after they lose their men and machines to those creatures. And now...now they have newcomers here.
"Look, I know you don't trust me, but I know that the RDA's action is wrong." Dark said to the two women. "They want to take Pandora as their own mining planet after they lost all the Unobtainium on your Earth. And they arrested your friends for helping us stop their attack on the Hometree."
Dark casually looks at her and then at each other. She could tell that the company that they are working for was not worth losing their friends.
"We can help you get them out of there." Dark said to the two women calmly. "We just need your help with something."
Both Trudy and Mackenzie gave her a skeptical look.
"Help you with what, exactly?" Trudy asked Dark suspiciously.
"Help us shut down the RDA for good, saving the lives of the Na'vi and their homes from total destruction." Dark said to them. "In doing so, we can rescue your friends."
"I'm sorry, but did you just say...we?"
Dark responded with a smirk, and moments later, Spider-Man appeared, wearing his stealth suit. This startled the women and Trudy instantly points her gun at him. Spider-Man lifted his arms up.
"Whoa! Ladies! I'm one of the good guys!" Spider-Man said to them, trying to prevent Turdy from shooting at him.
Dark gets up from the seat and walks up to them. "Way to make an entrance there, Spidey." Dark said in a sarcastic tone, earning a shrug from the spider hero. "Anyways, we need to work together to get Jake, Chrissy, Norm, and Grace out of their cell. As well as getting a woman named Paz Socorro out of here."
This caught Mackenzie's attention. "Wait, why are you bringing Paz along?"
"If you don't know, then your friend, Paz, is pregnant." Dark informs her, which surprised Mackenzie. She thought she was the only one that knew about this. "And judging by your look, you may know about this, did you?"
Mackenzie nodded her head, "Yes, Paz told me about her pregnancy, she wanted to let the baby grow up in a safe environment rather than Earth."
"But why do you want to bring her?" Trudy asked.
"We don't like the idea of a pregnant woman joining in the battle." Dark said to them. "And besides, she'll have no choice because she was following orders. That is why we need to bring her with us. So, she and the unborn baby will be safe."
The two women, even though have little trust to the two strangers, have to agree. They have to bring Paz with them, to keep her and her baby safe. So, they agree to help them save their friends, and shut down the RDA, permanently.
"We should also bring the dad." Spider-Man said to them. "I mean, after all, a kid needs to grow up with a dad."
"That might not be a good idea." Mackenzie said to Spider-Man with an unreadable look.
"Why is that?" Spider-Man asked Mackenzie in confusion.
Mackenzie sighs, not sure if they should know this, but they have to. She can't let them bring that man.
"The father of Paz's baby...is Colonel Miles Quaritch."
A record scratch could be heard in the background. Trudy, Spider-Man, and Dark gave Mackenzie different expressions. Dark was giving her a strange look yet disgusted look while both Trudy and Spider-Man were both dumbfounded at this news.
"...The Colonel is the baby's daddy?" Trudy asked in a somewhat strange tone.
"Yyyeeeaaahhh..." Mackenzie answered hesitantly.
"The guy who tried to start a war with the Omatikaya?" Spider-Man asked next, completely traumatized by this information.
"Uh-huh..."
"And Paz made out with him?" Dark was the last one to ask, clearly disgusted by this, as Mackenzie nodded her head. Destiny forgot to mention this to her and the others about Paz's affair with the Colonel. "Isn't he like...I don't know...50 years old? And she's...what? In her mid-twenties? She basically slept with a guy that's thirty years older than her."
"Oh, I think I'm gonna lose my lunch." Spider-Man mutters, holding his stomach with a hand, feeling nauseous of the thought.
"More importantly, I thought Marines aren't supposed to fraternize, especially towards their superior." Dark said towards the women.
"Well, what do you expect from the marines?" Mackenzie said to them. "Put 'em on a planet a million miles from the nearest bar...and things happen."
"Yeah, weird bullshit things." Dark said with a sigh. "We need to get her out of here before she gets hurt or gets a miscarriage."
"I know where her quarter is." Mackenzie said to them, wanting to get Paz away from RDA as soon as possible. "But can we bring another with us?"
"Who?" Spider-Man asked.
"His name is Max Patel. He's one of the science technicians." Mackenzie said to them. "He's a good friend of Dr. Augustine."
"She's right, we need his help, he has access to all floors in the base." Trudy said.
"Okay then, Spidey. You go with Mackenzie to find Paz. Trudy, you and me are going to find Dr. Patel, and get our friends out of their cells. We'll rendezvous back here and get the hell out of this base, clear?"
They agreed before they set off to do their task. Spider-Man and Dark quickly activated the stealth mode, and followed them to find the people they needed to rescue. But not before Dark contacted the Distraction Squad.
"It's go time."
With her words, the four Yautjas started creating chaos around the base. The alarms were blaring and soldiers were running out of the base towards the explosion. However, as they did so, they were attacked by unknown forces. They were either thrown off, impaled, shot, or beheaded. Everyone was so busy dealing with the problem that they didn't realize it was only a distraction. Spider-Man, in stealth mode, follows Mackenzie through the hallway, or better, he follows her by climbing on the ceiling. They avoided many soldiers running out to fight the intruders, but might end up being killed.
"Her quarter is not that far, but it would be hard for us to not be suspicious if anyone saw me carrying an unconscious Paz." Mackenzie said to Spider-Man.
"Don't worry, a friend of mine got this covered."
Meanwhile, at the other side of the hallway, Destiny stood amongst the bustling crowd of soldiers, running around to find the designated area to stop the attack that came unknowingly. No one can see her nor hear her. She just stood there, like a statue. However, that wasn't why she was here. Destiny glanced around the running soldiers, and without moving a muscle, one of the soldiers dropped down to the floor. Catching everyone's attention.
Everyone gathered around him as he started shaking like crazy and foaming on the mouth. A Medic came when he was called, telling everyone that the soldier had a seizure, and ordered some people to carry him to the medbay. But as they did so, another soldier fell onto the ground, shaking like crazy. Soon, another soldier followed, falling to the ground and shaking, having seizures like the first soldier. Soon, others began having seizures, forcing the ones that remain standing, to abandon their orders and carry the patients to the medbay, which will be overflown soon.
Destiny watches everything with a blank expression. She uses her powers to mess with the mercenaries' bodies, making them have seizures. While half of the soldiers dealt with the situation outside, the rest were forced to bring the sickly ones to the medbay. Giving her friends enough chances to get the others out.
Back to Mackenzie and Spider-Man, the two of them find Paz's quarter. When they entered, they saw Paz was loading up.
"Paz? What are you doing?" Mackenzie asked her friend with a worried expression.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Paz asked her sarcastically, readying her rifle. "I was ordered to help with the squad outside."
Mackenzie's eyes widened in terror. "Paz, are you crazy?! You can't out there! You're pregnant and you're gonna get yourself killed!"
"It's the Colonel's orders."
"Damn his orders!" Mackenzie exclaimed, surprising Paz in the process. "You're risking your life and the baby; you have to sit this through!"
"I can't, Mackenzie. Orders are orders, even if we don't like them." Paz said to her friend. "Move aside."
Mackenzie shook her head, "I can't, Paz. I can't let you do this."
"Neither do I, so you better move before I make you." Paz said, sounding like a threat.
Mackenzie sighs and looks at her friendly, "Then you lead me no choice." Says Mackenzie to Paz before looking at something. "Now!"
Before Paz could process on what's happening, she felt something behind her. Quickly turning around, the last thing she saw was someone wearing a strange spider suite before being sprayed on the face with a strange mist. And in a few seconds, she passed out. Luckily, Mackenzie caught Paz in her arms and looked at Spider-Man with a triumphant grin.
"Good job, Spidey." Mackenzie praised him.
Spider-Man smiles under his mask, "No problem. Now, you need to carry her out of her, and tell everyone that she also got sick like the soldiers outside."
Mackenzie nods and carries the unconscious Paz in her arms. Spider-Man activates his stealth mode as he and Mackenzie leave the room, only to find many soldiers taking the sickly ones to the medbay.
"What happened to her?" Ask a male medic.
"I found her unconscious in her room," Mackenzie lied to him. "I think she's sick."
"Her too? Damnit, the medical bay is already full, you have to take her to the messhall, they're making a temporary quarantine zone there."
"Will do." Mackenzie said, watching the medic leave to tend to the other patients.
Mackenzie quickly leaves and makes a detour around the medical bay, and towards another exit that is not being guarded with Spider-Man following her.
While they do so, the commotion outside could be heard from the holding cell. Jake, Chrissy, Norm, and Grace were concerned about what's happening outside. They could hear explosions, gunshots, and screams of the soldiers. As if, something was killing them in the most brutal way.
"What the hell is happening up there?" Jake mutters out.
"I don't know...but it sounds like there's a battle." Chrissy said, feeling nervous.
Just before they could think further, the door of the room suddenly opened, but there was no one there. The guard that was stationed there saw this and came to investigate. Only to find no one was there. He thinks that the door might be on the fritz, due to an explosion outside.
Then he felt a tap on his shoulder. But when he turned around, there was no one, until he felt a powerful force that punched his face so hard that he turned around in pain. Yet it didn't stop when another invisible punch came, then another, before he was kicked to the ground. Before the guard could get up, something hit him hard on the head, causing him to fall unconscious.
The four Avatar Drivers stared at the scene with wide eyes, wondering what just happened. They soon snapped out of it when two figures appeared in thin air, revealing mask-wearing men. Few seconds later, the mask retracted, revealing the faces of Owen and Marco.
"Sup, Corporal." Owen greeted with a grin.
Jake grins back. "Owen!"
Owen turned to the doorway and called out to someone. "It's clear!"
Patel came running in with Trudy following behind. Patel uses his keycard to unlock the door, freeing the four avatar drivers. They were grateful to get out and thanked their friends, but they were cut off when another explosion came.
"We'll catch up later, but right now, we need to get the hell out of here." Dark said, appearing from the door.
Everyone agreed and made a break for it. They went to another exit since the other one was being blocked by soldiers that were trying to shoot the invisible intruders, which ended up being killed by the said intruders. While they made their escape, they stopped when some soldiers rounded up the corner and quickly pointed their guns at the escapees.
"Freez!" One of the soldiers ordered.
Dark, Owen, and Marco were going to fight back, when out of nowhere, arrows came and shot the soldiers from behind, killing them instantly. The group were surprised but even more so when the ones that shot the soldiers appeared in thin air. It was Neytiri and Tsu'tey, wearing chest plates that look futuristic and Na'vi designed. Foxtrot made it for camouflage and allowing them to breathe the air in the base.
"Neytiri!" Jake exclaimed, surprised yet happy.
"Tsu'tey!" Chrissy also exclaimed, sharing the same expression of Jake.
"Lomasi, Tsyeyk...is this what you two look like?" Tsu'tey questioned, looking at them curiously.
Jake and Chrissy both smiled.
"Yeah, we ain't like a tsamsiyu." Jake said in a joking tone.
"Yes, I expected you to be bigger." Tsu'tey said, almost sounding like a joke.
"Less talk, more running." Dark ordered.
They can catch up later as they need to escape the RDA base. The group made their way to the deserted area where all the airships are. Apparently, many soldiers were too busy fighting off the invisible intruders. Dark contacts Spider-Man to get out of there.
Spider-Man and Mackenzie had to take a different route because the exit they were going for was overrun with soldiers. So, what they did was to web-swing out of the window of an empty balcony, and they safely made it to her ship without getting spotted by the cameras, thanks to Tech. Mackenzie found terrifying and thrilling that did that, while carrying an unconscious Paz.
They quickly enter her jet and Spider-Man straps the unconscious Paz onto a seat while Mackenzie starts her jet. The rest of the group quickly got out after Spider-Man contacted them that he and Mackenzie successfully got Paz out, and were ready to take off.
The group followed suit, heading out and towards the jet. Trudy went to her gunship since she can't let anyone use it for anything. Norm went with her to help Trudy with the lift off. They thought they were scot-free. However, they weren't aware that the colonel was slowly figuring out what's going on.
Quaritch was having a headache with the sudden attack and his soldiers' sudden illness. The base was in chaos. Everything will end up in flames if they can't find a solution to this problem. Selfridge is losing his mind as the base was under attack by the unknown intruder. Because no matter how many soldiers they sent, they would be killed in an instant and what's worse is that half of their soldiers began having seizures and had trouble breathing.
But that's not all.
The computers were on the fritz again, monitors glitching, security malfunctioning, lights flickering, and more. Many of his men were beginning to suspect that they were being haunted, but Quaritch ain't believing this bullcrap mumbo jumbo. Unlike his men, Quaritch is not a superstitious man. He believes that this is the work of Jake and his crew. However, there was still no evidence of them being the reason for this whole mess. After all, they were in the cell, locked-up, and...
Something felt wrong.
With all the commotion, Quaritch didn't think of checking the prisoners. He ordered the technician to show the security footage of the prison cell. A holographic brings footage of the group still in the prison cell. Not budging nor bothered by the commotion outside. However, Quaritch finds it suspicious and sends some men to the holding cell. And once the soldiers reach there, they inform their colonel that no one was there but a guard that has fallen unconscious.
"The prisoners have escaped! All units search the surrounding areas!" Quaritch ordered through the comm.
The sirens activated, signaling that the group's time is running short, and they have to leave now. Dark cursed under her breath. She knew that the colonel would figure out the security was messed up. They quickly book it to the ships but were cut off when Quaritch and some of his remaining soldiers came with guns and started shooting when they spotted them.
"Take cover!" Dark ordered.
The group took cover on some airships. They were so close on their escape, and now, they are trapped between Quaritch and his men, and they're only way out is the ships. But they are not giving up without a fight. Dark, Owen, and Marco took out their assault rifles, ready to fight their way to
Dark summons an assault rifle before shooting at the soldiers. They were able to take down five soldiers before they went into cover behind some vehicles. Dark, who stops shooting, turns to the others.
"Get to the ships! We'll hold them off!" Dark ordered before continuing shooting at Quaritch and his men.
The others obeyed and quickly took off to the ships. They quickly went to the jet where Spider-Man was urging them to hurry. Mackenzie and Trudy readied their aircraft to take off. Quaritch saw this and ordered his men to shoot at them. The mercenaries were about to shoot, but out of nowhere; a plasma bolt shot one of the soldiers on the chest, killing him instantly. This shocked Quaritch and his men, but it didn't last long when multiple rounds of plasma bolts came out of nowhere, forcing them to move to find cover. It didn't take long for the Dark's group to learn that the Yautjas are here to assist them.
And they didn't come alone.
Destiny came, in her Krylock form, storming in, roaring savagely at Quaritch's group. The soldiers yelled in fright and started shooting at her, but the bullets just bounced off her scaly armor. Growling, Destiny uses one of her pincers to grab an aircraft and tosses it towards them. Quaritch and some of his men quickly dodged it, but those who were not, ended up being killed by the weight of the machine. Destiny continues her rampage with the help of the Yautjas, allowing the group to move forward to the jet. Trudy was able to go airborne with Norm inside and were heading off to the Hometree, the others will catch up to her soon when they reach the jet.
Quaritch, who was angered by Destiny, could no longer keep his cool. He's taking his last stand. Taking out a rocket launcher that he brought, he aims it towards Destiny, who stabs a soldier with her scorpion tail. With no hesitation, Quaritch fires and the rocket flies towards her. Unfortunately, Destiny moves away, and the rocket misses her. And instead it hits one of the generators, causing it to explode, along with a few aircrafts. Everyone was sent flying and crashing to the ground and someone shouts in pain.
Tsu'tey was on the ground in the blazing area, groaning in pain from the explosion. He slowly gets up, ignoring the pains around his body. Suddenly, he heard someone crying in pain, and his eyes widened at the familiar voice. Looking up, he saw Chrissy leaning on one surviving gunship, and to his horror, Chrissy was impaled by a small sharp rode on her abdomen.
"LOMASI!" Tsu'tey yelled in horror and distress.
Getting up quickly, he runs towards her side, placing his hand onto her wound, applying pressure to prevent her blood from coming out. Chrissy cries, as the pain was unbearable.
{Lomasi, stay strong.} Tsyeyk said, sounding more like a plea.
Chrissy only responded with a whimper before coughing out blood.
"Tsmuke!" Neytiri screams in horror. Sister!
Neytiri runs to them, crouching beside Chrissy, crying at the horrifying sight of her sister in bond wounded. It felt as if she was losing Sylwanin all over again. Neytiri caresses Chrissy's pain-stricken face.
{Shh-shh...hold on sister, we will get you to a healer, just stay with us.} Neytiri begged, crying her eyes to see Chrissy in pain.
Chrissy tried to stay awake, but she was losing so much blood. It was hard for her to focus. Neytiri and Tsu'tey know they have to take her to the Vita clan, they have strange and powerful magic that could save her. Tsu'tey gently picks her up while Neytiri applies pressure into Chrissy's wound, preventing any more of her blood from leaking out. They quickly rush towards the jet, doing their best to avoid the battle.
As they made their way to the jet, Quaritch spotted the two Na'vis and ordered his men to shoot at them. They do so, but when they fire at them, a giant claw pincher blocks the bullets from hitting Neytiri and Tsu'tey. It was Destiny's Krylock form. Releasing a hiss like roar, Destiny unleashes a deadly toxic fire at the remaining soldiers. Quaritch quickly evades it, but his men weren't so lucky, as they suffer the deadly toxic fire. Feeling their skins melt and their bodies filled with toxicity, giving them a slow and painful death.
"Get in, hurry!" Owen yells at the two Na'vi.
They quickly enter the jet and Tsu'tey sets down Chrissy onto the floor, who cries in pain. Grace rushes to her daughter's side, taking off her coat and using it to cover her wound with it.
"Chrissy, honey. Stay with me, keep your eyes open, keep your eyes open..." Grace begged as tears fell from her eyes.
"We need to go, now!" Spider-Man said, helping Grace to tend Chrissy's wound along with Neytiri.
"Mackenzie!" Jake yelled to their pilot, trying to find a medical kit in the storage box.
"Way ahead of you!" Mackenzie said before closing the door.
Mackenzie's jet took off after she override the RDA's control. The jet took off while Destiny and the Yautjas left on their own, leaving part of the base in flames.
Quaritch glares at the leaving jet, feeling his anger boiled through his veins. The fire unit came to put out the deadly fire while medical staff tended the injured and sickly soldiers that were exposed by the toxic fire.
His gut was right. Jake and his group did help the Na'vi destroy the bulldozers and prevent the attack on the Hometree. And what's worse, they weren't alone. Apparently, they had outside help from human activists that somehow stowed away in the transport ship, and made a hidden base somewhere.
If so, then he will prepare the remaining soldier for a final showdown. They cannot lose against their enemies. He will win this battle, and kill those traitors and destroy every Na'vi village there is, so they could get all the resources.
He swears it.
The next chapter will be soon.
