Tommy parked his jeep and then threw his arms around Kimberly and Ollie. Kim had settled on the drive, but he felt that it was only for Ollie's benefit. He knew he was right when Kim's arms slipped around his neck and she buried her face there to try to hide some of the sobs. He had a feeling she thought she had seen him die and that was not something she was going to shake off quickly. Even though he was not physically hurt, she couldn't reassure herself of that and that reassurance had always calmed her the most in the past.

"Hey Ol- can you open the door for us? I'm going to get your mom inside," Tommy said as he handed Ollie the keys and he nodded towards him. He jogged ahead and Tommy pulled back ever so slightly and she tightened her arms around his neck. He pressed a kiss to her forehead and tried to think of what she needed to hear from him most. "Beautiful, I'm alive. It's going to take more than that to get rid of me."

"I can't…I can't…" Kim forced out between sobs and he cupped her face and watched as her eyes searched for him. He could tell how much she needed to lay eyes on him to know he was really okay, but he couldn't give her that peace. He ran his hands up and down her body and then took her hands and ran them over his own, trying to at least give her a solid feel of him. "I can't lose you again. I can't do life without you again. I…"

Tommy pulled her into his lap and then shimmied out of the jeep. She clung to him and he wished he could do more for her, but right now this was all that he had. He walked them past Ollie and took her straight to his bedroom. Ollie trailed behind him and he was glad that he was not freaking out the way that Kimberly was. He was glad that Ollie had not seen what had happened.

"I'm going to go lock up the house for the night and call Billy. I'll be right back," Tommy whispered as Kim nodded against his neck before releasing him. He took a step back and Ollie crawled into bed next to Kimberly and she wrapped her arms around him again. They both looked exhausted and he secretly hoped that they would be passed out by the time he made it back upstairs. He had enough to deal with without having to worry about if they were able to rest.

"Hey Tommy, what's up?" Billy asked as he glanced at the clock and then back at his phone. Tommy almost never called this late at night and it was almost never good when he did. "You know it's 11pm on a Tuesday, right?"

"I've got a problem- I'm stuck invisible," Tommy said as he had ransacked the Dino Lab to see if he had any data on this, but he had nothing. He had not even known that his dino gem had the ability to turn him invisible and this was one hell of a way to figure it out.

"Crap. I'm out of town until the end of the week. I'm speaking at a conference on assistive technology in improved surgical outcomes and the new research we've done. Why don't you give Hayley a call? This seems like something she could help with," Billy said and Tommy fell silent. He had thought about calling her, but he didn't want to use her like that. After their last interaction, it had become clear to him just how hard it was for her to see him with Kimberly. Even if she wanted a road to redemption with him, he didn't want to shove their relationship in her face. This would shove their relationship in her face like nothing else had. "I know it's not ideal, but I don't think you want to stay invisible until I get back."

"Fine- I'll give her a call in the morning," Tommy muttered as he hung up and he stared at the screens in front of him. He had taken longer than he planned and he knew that if Kim hadn't faded off to sleep, he was going to be met with a bundle of nerves. He climbed up to his kitchen and then made his way to his bedroom. Ollie was soundly passed out, but he saw that Kim was still awake, rocking their son in her arms. "You want me to move him?"

"Yeah. I just…" Kim trailed off as Tommy sat down next to her and squeezed her hand. He didn't need her to explain it to him. He had lost his mind when he couldn't get to her a time or two and the only thing that had brought him down was knowing that he was her best chance at survival. "Thank you."

Tommy scooped Ollie up and carried him to his room. He settled him into the bed before gently pulling off his shoes and tucking him in. Ollie rolled over in his sleep and Tommy grabbed the stuffed animal that he still liked to sleep with and gently placed it in his arms. He was struck again by how much he favored him, but also how much he looked like Kimberly in his sleep. He had realized it the first night he had stayed with him, but it still hit home with him every time he was here.

"Where are you?" Kim asked as he opened and closed the door to his room and he grabbed a shirt he'd left on the floor earlier this week to give her a visual. He was shocked when she launched herself at him and he caught her as she wrapped her body around him and just clung to him. "I love you."

"Wha…what?" Tommy stuttered. He had wanted to hear those words from her again when she was sober, but he had never thought that it would be like this. He hoped that it wasn't only because of what had happened tonight, last night didn't count in his books. As he took her in, he realized that tonight had pushed her, but this was something she had wanted to tell him for a long time. "Kim?"

"I love you and I need you," Kim whispered against him and he leaned forward and kissed her. He ravaged her mouth as he walked over to his bed and laid her back onto it. She gripped onto him and an undercurrent of desperation hit him hard. This was different than many of the other nights like this and he didn't want to question it.

"I love you too," Tommy whispered against her ear as he ran his fingers through her hair and he nipped his way down her neck as she arched into him. "And I need you too."

Tommy pulled back and walked over to lock the door. He was pretty sure Ollie would sleep through the night, but the last thing they needed was an interruption. He then grabbed a condom from his sock drawer and walked back over to his bed. One look in Kim's eyes told him that the need she had was just as much physical as it was emotional and that he could soothe her soul in so many ways tonight.

"I…I wish…" Kim whispered as she saw him roll on the condom and then quirked her head before letting out a laugh. He looked down at his body and chuckled as well, this was an unexpected tension breaker that they desperately needed. "This is ridiculous. All I can see is that."

"I mean- I can make myself fully invisible again," Tommy joked as she shook her head no and he pinned her against the bed. She reached out for him and he could feel her frustration that she wasn't able to touch where she wanted to easily. "Just feel, Kim. I know you can't see me, but feel how solid I am. Feel me."

Kim closed her eyes and sank into the feeling of Tommy all around her. He had been right to tell her to focus on how he felt, because it was soundly the same. His hands roamed her body and she couldn't help but try to find him. He guided her hands to his body and she felt his muscles ripple under her touch. She peaked her eyes open and immediately closed them. This was better without her sense of sight. She felt Tommy prop himself up over her as he brought their lower bodies together and she moaned.

"Shhhh…we don't want to wake Ollie," Tommy muttered and she let out a throaty laugh. He hardened even more as her body gripped him.

"Then you better kiss me because…" Tommy pulled out and pushed back into her again and she fought down a raw moan. "God I needed this."

"Me too."
