Toshinori's Choice

Chapter thirty-one: The 1-A and 1-B friendship plan, part five

"Change my bet to Kan's student Kendo!"

"Change my bet to Aizawa's student Ashido!"

"Wait, is the Tokage girl one of Aizawa's students or one of Kan's students? Either way, change my bet to Tokage!"

Toshinori looked on in shocked surprise as many members of the UA staff were scrambling with Hizashi who was running the UA Staff betting pool being ran concerning which girl in UA's first year hero course it was that Izuku has a crush on. The former Symbol of Peace stood with Aizawa and Sekijiro, neither of which were changing their bets. "Wow, word getting out about my boy confirming that one of the girls is NOT his crush really has the staff in a panic, huh?" Toshinori said.

"You gotta understand, All Might," Aizawa began, "It's Yaoyorozu who half the UA staff had bet on to be the girl who is Midoriya's crush. Midoriya confirming that Yaoyorozu isn't his crush means that a lot of people have to change their bets as they had bet on the wrong girl."

"It would have been even more of a panic if Midoriya revealed the identity of the girl he does have a crush on," Sekijiro went on. Sekijiro, along with Aizawa and Toshinori, turned to look at where Nezu sat in a chair, looking down with a shocked look on his mousy face as he held his hands to the sides of his head. "Even Nezu is reeling," Sekijiro said.

"I miscalculated," Nezu muttered just loud enough for Toshinori's group to hear, "I had actually miscalculated. How did I miscalculate?"

Toshinori had a dry, monotone look on his thin face. "...Nezu bet on Young Yaoyorozu, didn't he?" To Aizawa and Sekijiro, Toshinori went on, "I understand that the student body is also running their own betting pool in regards to which girl in the first year hero course here at UA it is that my boy has a crush on. You don't think they'll be panicking as much as the Staff here is, do you?"

Shrugging, Aizawa said, "All I know is that things in the student betting pool are more or less the same as they are in the Staff betting pool. That being said, I bet that some of the students will be in a panic to change their bets."

That made the former Symbol of Peace take pause, albeit out of worry. If what the Underground Hero said is true to the letter, then half of UA's student body had bet that Izuku has a crush on his classmate Yaoyorozu. With the green-haired boy confirming that Yaoyorozu isn't his crush, although he did so to reassure Sekijiro's student Awase who does have feelings for Yaoyorozu, Toshinori had a feeling some bets in the student betting pool had to be changed.

But it wouldn't be too bad, right?

"Deku you fucker! I have to change my bet now because of you!"

Izuku, who stood with Tenya, Todoroki, and Shinso, stood across from Bakugo, Kirishima, Sero, and Kaminari. Bakugo was currently in the middle of verbally ripping Izuku a new one for causing him some minor inconvenience. "Bakugo could be more gentle about it, but he does have a point," Sero said, "I mean, I'm surprised that you don't have a crush on Yaoyorozu, man."

"From what we've gathered," Kaminari remarked to Izuku, "You're popular enough so that you could have any girl you want as your girl. Any of the girls in our year of the hero course ought to be a cinch for you to scoop up, and that includes a hot smart babe like Yaoyorozu."

"Look, we came here because Tenya needs to change his bet," Shinso said, "We don't need you guys to hold us up because you're salty you were wrong about which girl in our year of the hero course it was that Izuku's got the hots for."

Gesturing to the rest of his group, Kirishima said, "Actually, it's just Baku-bro, Sero, and Kaminari who needs to change their bets. I had bet on Mina."

"Interesting, Kirishima," Tenya said, "I was planning to change my bet to Ashido." Izuku, who as per the rules of the betting pool was keeping quiet, didn't say anything about which girl it is he has the hots for. The green-haired boy also didn't say anything about how the girl that he does have a crush on is of a more... well-fed variety.

Todoroki nodded in understanding. "I also have my bet on Ashido. I'm figuring it's either her or Tokage in Class 1-B that Izuku has a crush on. Both of seem like the friendly, excitable, fun-loving type, and I can see a lot of guys liking girls like that."

As the boys were talking, their attention was drawn to the pair of Yaoyorozu and Itsuka walking in. "We were told by the girls running the betting pool that, as Yaoyorozu here was confirmed to not be Midoriya's crush and also Midoriya's crush hadn't been revealed yet, Yaoyorozu will be allowed to enter the betting pool," Itsuka explained.

"Considering that I am now learning what it's like to struggle with money," Yaoyorozu began, "I'm really hoping to win here." Yaoyorozu took a look at the betting pool that's been drawn up, seeing her own name crossed out. "...It looks like you're the current most likely girl to be Midoriya's crush, Kendo," Yaoyorozu said, "I think I'll bet on you in that case."

"Umm, no hard feelings that I don't have a crush on you, okay?" Izuku said to Yaoyorozu, "Sorry, it's just that the girl I do have a crush on has in my opinion the strongest heroic attitude out of all of the girls in our year of the hero course here."

"Ah, figures that you'd value such a quality in girls, Izuku," Tenya said, "Not of course that there's a problem with it."

As Itsuka and Yaoyorozu nodded in understanding before leaving so Yaoyorozu could place her bet, Kaminari said, "Anyway guys, for those of us here who need to change our bets, we ought to get to it right now before we forget." Bakugo's group aside from Kirishima went to change their bets, and Tenya from Izuku's group went to change his bet. This just left Izuku himself, along with Todoroki, Shinso, and Kirishima.

Looking to Izuku, Kirishima said, "So Midori-bro, when will you confess to your crush?"

"Umm, when I can work up the courage to do so," Izuku replied.

Later that evening at Class 1-A's dorm building, Yaoyorozu was talking with the other girls in 1-A with her. Also, the 1-A girls were talking to Kirishima, Kaminari, Mineta surprisingly enough, and lastly Aoyama. "So you put your one-thousand yen on Kendo in 1-B, huh?" Mina asked as she and the others looked to Yaoyorozu.

The formerly wealthy girl nodded once in the affirmative. "She is estimated to be the most likely one out of the possible options to be the girl that Midoriya has a crush on."

"I can see why people would think Kendo is most likely the girl who stole Midoriya's heart," Mineta said, "She's got a firm handle on her quirk, showing skilled use of it that would serve her well in a career as a pro hero. She's also pulling in respectable grades from what I gather, and she is on the cute side of things."

Kyoka scowled a bit at Mineta. "Figures you'd bring up a girl's looks, you pervy little troll."

"With all due respect Kyoka," Kaminari began, "Mineta wasn't focusing solely on the looks aspect, it was if anything an afterthought that he tacked on at the end. Also, guys and girls both would want crushes who look good. What, would you wanna date a guy whose face looked like, say, a potato?"

Kyoka opened her mouth as if to argue, but stopped short. "...Point taken."

"Of course, every girl in both our class and in 1-B are damn cute," Kaminari said, "So it could be any of you girls, aside from Yaoyorozu as Midoriya confirmed it's not her."

"I'm actually a bit worried it might be me kero," Tsuyu said, "I mean, don't get me wrong, Midoriya is a perfect guy, but I actually have feelings for another boy in class, so I'll have to let Midoriya down gently if it turns out I'm the one."

"Oh yeah, Asui here has the hots for Tokoyami, boys," Hagakure explained, "She told the other girls here and I earlier. Can we count on you to keep it to yourselves, also maybe help to send Tokoyami in Asui's direction?"

Giving the girls a thumbs up, Kirishima said, "No need to worry, I'll keep my lips zipped on the matter. Also I can help psyche Tokoyami up for the idea of getting together with Asui." Looking to everyone, Kirishima said, "So anywho, who all do YOU think is Midoriya's crush? I'm betting it's Mina."

"I had bet on Ashido as well," Mineta said, "In addition to her being cute, Ashido also has a personality that I get a lot of guys find appealing."

"My personality, huh?" Mina said.

Nodding once, Mineta went on, "You've been described as energetic, a bit excitable, fun loving, and some say you'd be a blast to have around at awesome parties. What guy wouldn't want to go out with so fun a girl?"

Yaoyorozu, a mildly curious look on her face, said, "Kendo told me her classmate Tokage had been described exactly the same way as you described Ashido just now, Mineta. Although Kendo told me that Tokage is a bit more... eccentric... than Ashido."

"She had accused her classmate Kamakiri of playing online poker in ass-less chaps one time, according to what Baku-bro told me," Kirishima said.

"I actually own a pair of ass-less chaps," Aoyama remarked casually. Gesturing to himself, Aoyama went on, "Anyway, to continue our conversation on which girl is most likely going to turn out to be Midoriya's crush, I had bet my one-thousand yen on Yaoyorozu originally before having to change it to Hagakure earlier today."

"You think it's me now?" Hagakure said.

Aoyama nodded once in the affirmative. "Out of the remaining girls that could be Midoriya's crush, I figure it has to you, Hagakure. I'm having trouble imagining Midoriya crushing on a 1-B girl given how their class had screwed our class over. You're also friendly and personable like Ashido, but I'd say you're more calm. Midoriya seems to me to be the kind of guy who would prefer a calmer girl than one who's always partying out loud. Umm, no offence Ashido."

"I always figured I'd be too much for most guys to handle," Mina said, looking more amused than anything else.

Shrugging, Aoyama went on, "But after Hagakure I'd have to say that Ashido is the most likely girl to be Midoriya's crush. Respectively I can't really see him being interested in Uraraka or Jiro or Asui."

"Is... there a reason?" Jiro asked, looking a bit suspicious at Aoyama.

"I can see where Aoyama is going," Mineta said, "Uraraka with all due respect isn't a fun enough girl, and we've established that Midoriya wants a girl who is on the fun side like Hagakure but not too much like Ashido and Tokage. As for you Jiro, you're a prude who needs to loosen up, and Midoriya is probably too scared to date Asui because of her younger siblings, especially her younger brother who many of us in class have witnessed straight up kill a man before."

Kyoka looked like she was gonna argue, but stopped short when Aoyama cut in. "With all due respect, Mineta had gotten my reasons why it can't be you or Asui pretty much right on the head, Jiro," Aoyama began, "The only difference is that I in all honesty would have used somewhat bolder language in calling you out for being a prude."

Gesturing to Aoyama, Hagakure went on, "But Mineta was wrong about why you think that Midoriya wouldn't be interested in Uraraka?"

"Yes he was wrong," Aoyama replied.

Looking at the sparkly French boy, Mineta said, "Alright, so tell us. What makes you think Midoriya won't wanna spring for Uraraka?"

Sighing, Aoyama said, "I'm just gonna rip the bandage off and be upfront here. It's because of how fat Uraraka is."

"What the heck, Aoyama?!" Mina practically screamed while the other girls looked upset at him, aside from Uraraka herself who looked emotionally shot.

"Oh come on, girls!" Aoyama said, "It's common knowledge that guys typically don't want fat girls! We can't dance around or sugar coat the issue!"

"Actually, Aoyama's point is somewhat justified, as un-manly and shallow as it is," Kirishima began, "You typically don't see bigger girls scooped up on the dating scene, sad as it is."

Looking to Mineta, Kyoka said, "I'm surprised that you didn't use Uraraka's weight as a reason why Midoriya wouldn't wanna date her."

Shrugging, Mineta said, "Although I myself would prefer a female companion who's on the slender side of things, I do acknowledge the fact that there ARE some guys out there who appreciate a little extra to love on their ladies, and I refuse to discredit them for it. Fat girls do have benefits, after all."

Looking to Uraraka, Yaoyorozu said, "Hey Uraraka, are you-"

"I always figured it might be the case."

Yaoyorozu stopped short when she heard Uraraka speak up in a sad tone. The very obese wealthy girl looked down sadly at her large, jiggling belly, slowing rubbing her plump hands over it. "I always figured my weight would be an issue in me getting together with Izuku," Uraraka went on, her tone still sad, "But I never really thought of it too much. I... I guess hearing someone say it was what I had been missing."

The other girls looked sympathetic towards Uraraka, with Tsuyu saying, "So Midoriya is the boy you've been crushing on, huh kero?" Uraraka gave a sad nod in the affirmative.

"Well don't worry," Mina said, "By the power of girl power, we shall-"

"Attention all students in the 1-A and 1-B dorms," an announcement suddenly called out over an intercom system, and it was clear that Nezu was the one making the announcement, "Please report to lecture hall A for an emergency conference. Come dressed in your hero costumes as well."

"Looks like duty calls," Kirishima said grimly before he and the others got up to go get dressed and ready to head to the specific lecture hall as per request of the rat principal of UA.

All of Class 1-A and Class 1-B showed up for the meeting at the appropriate lecture hall, a large and spacious room set up for lectures for a very large group of people. At the front of the room stood Nezu, who was accompanied by the group of Toshinori, Aizawa, Sekijiro, Hizashi, Ryo, and Nemuri, although with the hero teachers was Mera from the (government controlled remnants of the) HPSC.

Additionally, along the sides of the lecture hall stood various pro heroes who Izuku identified as many top ranking ones, including most of the most recent top ten. Izuku caught Tensei pointing something out to Fat Gum before both men chuckled in sincere amusement, like parents finding something about a child cute and dote-worthy. The green haired boy could feel it when his friend Tenya felt embarrassment welling up.

At Nezu's instruction, the hero students all took seats. "Students of UA's first year hero course," Nezu began, his tone serious and grim, "We have some announcements that need to be made, and our good friend Mera here can best explain them."

Nezu stepped back and allowed Mera to step forward. "After reviewing what all progress that Class 1-A has made so far in their supplementary lessons to earn their provisional hero licences, it has been ruled by the remains of the HPSC that there has been sufficient development in said area. As such, all of Class 1-A shall be receiving their provisional hero licences, aside from Minoru Mineta as he already has his provisional hero licence."

This brought a round of cheers out of the Class 1-A students, although some were more subdued than the others. Raising a somewhat timid hand, Izuku asked, "Is... is there a reason why this ruling has been made, sir?"

Mera let out a grim sigh. "A number of reasons really, All Might's son. You and your classmates have indeed made notable progress in your supplementary lessons. There's also the fact that the HPSC, despite deeming you and your classmates as failing at the provisional license exams because of it, does acknowledge the fact that said failure came about due to dishonest means that you and your peers are by no means at fault for."

A number of eyes, some from the pro heroes standing both around and in front of the room, all shot to look at Class 1-B, focusing on some specific students in said group. "The HPSC also really wants your classmate Asui to be able to do work in the field as soon as possible," Mera went on, "And for a reason you'd only really need one guess to get right." Izuku, as well as some of the other students in Class 1-A, knew that the HPSC wants Tsuyu free to do field work ASAP so she can reason with her little siblings.

"But the shortage of heroes in the field is the main reason," Mera went on, "A reason made worse by a recent act of the now villainous Endeavor and those who followed him into villainy. Not helping is how he got the numbers that he can field up even more."

"There's been an incident where a large number of Endeavor's minions tried taking a shipment being taken to safety, and said shipment was guarded by a dozen sidekick level pro heroes," Tensei spoke up from where he stood to the side with Fat Gum, "All twelve sidekick level pro heroes were killed. I know this as three of said slain sidekicks had worked for me at Team Idaten."

"We will try our hardest to keep all of you kids out of danger," Edgeshot spoke up, "But there is still no dancing around the fact that, plain and simple, we're too shorthanded right now, so we need ALL of you in the field ASAP."

The hero course students, although all scared, understood that there was a necessity. And the pro heroes were going to try their best to keep them out of harms way. As such, Class 1-A aside from Mineta who already had his got their provisional hero licences. After that, the 1-A and 1-B students were then divvied up amongst the present pro heroes as there was work to do. A good practice job for the newly licensed Class 1-A students, but it would still be risky.

The divvy-ing up of the hero course students also took into account the fact that a good number of the Class 1-B students were in no condition to go out into the field. In the end, each present hero in the top ten got at least three students each; Mirko used her and Ryukyu being women to put their gender at the front of the line to pick who to take, and the Rabbit Hero ended up scooping up Izuku, Bakugo, and Todoroki.

"We will permit you all an hour to eat something quick, as this is around dinnertime," Mera said, "And also use the restroom if need be. But be back here no later than one hour from now for the quick briefing that has to be covered before you all can ship out." The hero course students all gave calls in the affirmative before leaving the room .

Izuku, Bakugo, and Todoroki left as a group, given they were grouped together by the Rabbit Hero. However, they stopped short when Mirko called out to them. "Oi boys," Mirko said, "You guys and I got to go have a quick powwow with Ryukyu and her group." Curious, Izuku and the others followed after Mirko and met up with her. The Dragon Hero stood there, waiting for Mirko to come by. Ryukyu had scooped up Tsuyu, Ochaco, and Tokoyami as interns.

"Here's the deal, kids," Ryukyu began as she and Mirko addressed the interns, "The mission will involve going after a large abandoned warehouse facility that is rumored to be used by Endeavor's ever-growing gang of villainous criminals. The remnants of the HPSC have reason to believe that if word of Endeavor having a lot of interest there gets out, then Dabi's Crew will swing by, potentially while the heroes are rushing in."

Izuku nodded once in grim understanding. "You and the other heroes think that Dabi may bring in both of Asui's younger siblings."

Both Ryukyu and Mirko nodded in confirmation. "Our respective groups will have a special job to do in the case those two do show up," Mirko said. To her interns, Mirko said, "Boys, you three and I will try confronting Asui's little sister. We will NOT attempt to attack or fight her, we're only going to try to reason with her to get her to calm down and maybe even come with us."

Pointing to Tsuyu, Todoroki asked, "Wouldn't it make more sense for us to have Asui present when we try reasoning with her little sister?"

"The frog girl is gonna work to try and reason with her little brother first for multiple reasons," Mirko said. Listing off of her fingers, Mirko said, "First off is the fact she's Ryukyu's intern, and Ryukyu will lead the efforts to get the boy to settle down. There's also the fact that between Usagi and Felgrand, the latter of the two is a significantly greater threat, so calming him down and bringing him in will help ease the burden that pro hero society is facing."

"You think that you can reason with Usagi?" Bakugo asked the Rabbit Hero.

Nodding once, Mirko said, "I did get it she's a fan of mine, so I plan to use that to my advantage. Also helping is that I did have some degree of success in trying to reason with her before, during the Battle of Kamino Ward. I was successful at least up until Endeavor who was still a hero at the time had to go and scuttle things for me."

Gesturing to herself, Ryukyu said, "Meanwhile, Tsuyu as well as Ochaco and Fumikage will come with me to try and reason with Tsuyu's little brother. Similar to how Satsuki is a fan of Mirko's, Samidare is a fan of mine, so that ought to make the job of reaching out to him easier. There's also the fact that he's a child on the spectrum and I have a lot of experience working with children who are on the spectrum. And obviously Tsuyu is going to be with me."

"Iida's brother," Dark Shadow said as he popped out of Tokoyami, "When he got what all Ryukyu was going in with when she goes to try and reason with Felgrand, said that Ryukyu was going in with multiple pluses to help her pass the skill check, PLUS she's gonna be rolling with advantage. Iida himself then apologized and explained his older brother had been playing a lot of BG3 as of late."

"Yeah, I heard Ingenium say to Fat Gum something about having successfully recruited Minsc and Boo," Todoroki remarked. With a shrug and mildly confused look, Todoroki went on, "Not... quite sure what that means though."

"Anyway, you kids gotta go get something to eat before we all head out," Mirko said, "We very well can't fight villainy on empty stomachs, now can we?"

Ochaco gently shook her head in the negative. "I don't think we can, no." Mirko and Ryukyu then let the students go, although Mirko sent them off with the tidbit that the Big Three were also being added to those going on the mission, framing it as, 'Nighteye's boy Tintin, Fat Gum's boy Sasuke, and Ryukyu's intern with the big titties'. Ryukyu scolded Mirko for referring to Nejire by calling focus to the size of the girl's bust. Mirko shot back that she didn't know their real names.

As the combined six interns left to go eat, Bakugo smirked in amusement. "Heh, Mirko's gonna be fun for us to work under."

Izuku and the others met up with the rest of Class 1-A, with them and all of Class 1-B getting dinner in the cafeteria run by Lunch Rush. It was there that Izuku, Todoroki, and Bakugo told the rest of their class that the Big Three were coming along as well. "I'm... still a little unsure of Togata-senpai ever since he beat all of us up and rubbed it in our faces how 1-B had screwed us over," Ojiro said, drawing a few agreeing nods out of some other 1-A students.

"Togata-senpai did try to make up for upsetting us when he got the full details and realized how badly the first impression went," Izuku pointed out, "He had even done something extra for the girls in class because his clothes came off by accident during training."

"At least Hado-senpai is also coming," Yaoyorozu spoke up, "I hear she's the top girl student here at UA, not to mention she's pretty popular with the other girls, sort of like a school idol."

Todoroki nodded in understanding. "If I recall correctly, Hado-senpai works as an intern for the Dragon Hero. That being said, she most likely will be part of the team that will try going after Asui's little brother."

Mina tensed up a bit out of fright-driven primal instinct. "The... the heroes think that Felgrand may show up?"

Izuku nodded once before explaining to his classmates that the mission is gonna see them go after a large abandoned warehouse facility that is rumored to be used by Endeavor, although what he's doing there is anyone's guess. There's also reason to believe that if word of Endeavor's interests there end up getting out, then Dabi's Crew will swing by, and among Dabi's Crew are his two elites, Felgrand and Usagi.

That being said, special teams, one each respectively led by Mirko and Ryukyu, will deal with Usagi and Felgrand. Combat against Usagi and Felgrand is OFF the table as an option, the groups have to try reasoning with the two and getting them to calm down. As dangerous and powerful as both of them are, there's still no denying the fact that Usagi and Felgrand are both young kids; Felgrand is barely a decade old, and Usagi is actually a year younger than Eri.

Also, the kids, when you get right down to it, are just having a massive freak out because their mom and dad were both killed by Endeavor's recklessness. They're both alone and scared, they need to be helped and not fought. It can be considered the most important job of all that a pro hero can get, helping a scared and alone child who is freaking out. "Hey Asui," Jiro asked, "You think that Mirko and Ryukyu have a shot at helping to get your little siblings to calm down?"

"Her little brother and little sister are respectively fans of Ryukyu's and Mirko's," Dark Shadow said when he popped out of Tokoyami again, "The top lady heroes are gonna try and use that to at least get the kids talking and focused on them."

"So... so Hado-senpai really IS gonna go up against Felgrand," Hagakure said, sounding scared.

"You speak as if Samidare might wanna kill Hado-senpai," Ochaco said, "Hagakure, you and the other girls needs to relax. We are not going to try and fight him, just talk to him. Besides, if anything he may ask Hado-senpai for her autograph, by virtue of the fact Hado-senpai works for Ryukyu."

"He did pump that one villain full of blue flames," Mina pointed out.

"Well said villain DID try going after Asui here with clear intent to at a minimum brutalize her," Jiro pointed out, "And that's the only kill he's got under his belt. As scary as he may be, he's still a sweet little kid who loves his big sister." Jiro turned to look at Tsuyu, gave her a small but sincere and reassuring smile. "I believe that you and your group will be alright, Asui."

Tsuyu nodded once in thanks. "Thank you, Jiro."

"I also have faith that the boys here," Jiro continued as she turned to look at Izuku, Todoroki, and Bakugo, "Will find similar success in getting Asui's little sister to settle down with Mirko's help. Hell, I bet Izuku will be especially useful there as he's got an adorable little sister of his own, so he has at least some experience in working with helping girls like that."

Izuku nodded once in acknowledgement. "Yeah, I have a little bit of practice in being an older sibling, due to my parents taking in Kota and then Eri." Turning to look at Asui, Izuku asked, "Is there anything that my group and I ought to know about your sister before the mission starts, assuming that your little siblings do show up?"

Tsuyu took out a bag of jelly candies and tossed it gently to Izuku. "These are a kind of jelly candy that Satsuki and I are both very fond of," Tsuyu explained, "They may help with at least getting her to listen to you, Mirko, and the boys kero. They won't be all that effective with Samidare though as he prefers cookies n' cream bars." Tsuyu pulled out an xl-sized cookies n' cream bar to show Izuku and the others, saying she planned to use it to help get Samidare to listen to her group.

"Bribing kids with candy," Jiro smirked in amusement, "Not a bad idea." The first year hero course students of UA spent the rest of their allocated time eating, as well as some going to use the restroom, before they all headed back to meet with the pro heroes and the pro hero teachers to ship out. By then, the Big Three also showed up and went with respective groups, and before the 1-A kids all knew it, they were heading out to confront a possible Endeavor scheme.

END, CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

Author's notes;

Aha! You thought that this story was dead or cancelled! But like a Phoenix rising from the ashes in my barbecue pit in the backyard, this story is back! In all seriousness, this story continues the betting pool shenanigans, seeing many people in both the student body and staff betting pools rushing to change their bets as Izuku confirmed that Yaoyorozu is NOT his crush, but he didn't say who his crush is yet.

After that, the 1-A girls plus a few boys talk about the betting pool action, with Uraraka eventually revealing to the girls that Izuku is the boy she has feelings for. Their talk is interrupted by a call for an emergency meeting with all 1-A and 1-B students. At said meeting, 1-A is given their provisional hero licences because of a sharp spike in the need for more hands in the field, and the hero course kids are divvied up into teams under the (remaining) current top ten.

Two such groups are Izuku, Todoroki, and Bakugo under Mirko, and Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Tokoyami under Ryukyu. The two top lady heroes clue their new interns in on a plan involving getting Tsuyu's little siblings to calm down, with Mirko's team going after Satsuki while Ryukyu's team going after Samidare. This plan assumes that Dabi's Crew will show up because they got it that Endeavor has some interests chilling at where the heroes are headed.

...But what are the odds of Dabi's Crew showing up?
