With a determined glint in his eyes, Kevin looked at the newly formed blue portal. After countless trials and errors, he had finally cracked the code. The swirling vortex represented his ticket out of the long-standing prison known as the Nullvoid.
As he stepped closer to the shimmering gateway, a mixture of relief and anticipation coursed through him. The time had come for Kevin Levin to bid farewell to the Nullvoid. The opportunity which he had been waiting for years
With each deliberate step, Kevin Levin ventured into the interdimensional portal. A strange energy coursed through his veins. Home, a concept that had felt distant for so long, now beckoned on the other side.
He slowly disappeared into the portal with a grin on his face. He was finally returning back to Earth.
In the quiet shadows of a Manhattan alley, a sudden burst of blue light illuminated the darkness. A tall and handsome 17-year-old now occupied the previously vacant alley. The echoes of interdimensional travel lingered as the newcomer, none other than Kevin Levin, took in the unfamiliar surroundings of the bustling city.
His acute sense of smell took the quality of air. His smiled widened as he finally smelled the forgotten scent of the Earth.
With a confident stride, Kevin emerged from the alley, a subtle smile playing on his lips. His dark eyes scanned the dynamic panorama of New York City. The sights of bustling streets, honking cars, and a sea of people. He had missed this.
Passersby cast puzzled glances at Kevin, their expressions a mix of curiosity and mild disdain. His tattered clothes and half trousers stood out in contrast to the urban fashion of New York. He looked like a street urchin, he realised. Some recoiled with a hint of disgust, while others exchanged hushed remarks.
He suddenly frowned. There were some posters on the walls. The billboards loudly advertised the images of some costumed people.
It was strange, Kevin realized that the billboards and posters adorned with costumed heroes were entirely unfamiliar to him. The iconic and flashy figures that graced the cityscape were not the ones he had grown up with in his own universe.
Immediately his mind went onto hyperdrive. His brain was supplying him with only one answer. It was the only thing which made sense. A conclusion which was painful either way.
Either the world had changed greatly in the last four to five years, or he was in some sort of parallel Earth.
"The Multiverse's such a confusing thing. Isn't it Kevin?" An amused voice remarked from behind him. Kevin immediately turned behind and threw a punch. His reflexes had never dulled all these ears. How did he even sneaked up on him?
His hand hit empty air. Kevin looked at the man. He was wearing khakhi pants and had a pocket watch in his hand. His eyes held wisdom beyond years in them. Something which Kevin hadn't thought possible. However there was some strange energy around him. An energy which was stranger to him.
"Who are you?" Kevin inquired, eyeing the man with a mix of curiosity and caution. He was no ordinary man for sure.
The enigmatic time traveler met Kevin's gaze with a knowing smile, his eyes reflecting the vastness of experiences across time and space.
"I am Professor Paradox," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of mystery. "A custodian of the temporal realms, and it seems, a fellow traveler caught in the web of Marvel's multiverse. Fate has a peculiar way of intertwining our paths, young Kevin Levin."
A realization dawned on Kevin as Professor Paradox spoke. The pieces fell into place, and Kevin immediately grasped the nature of the mysterious figure before him. "You're a time walker," Kevin remarked, a sense of understanding lighting up his features.
"Well deduced." Paradox replied with a smile. This Kevin was smarter than most of his other peers.
"You, my young friend, are no ordinary traveler," Professor Paradox praised, a tone of admiration in his voice. "I am impressed with the vast control you already wield over your powers. It seems this iteration of Kevin Levin has grown into a formidable force, a testament to you indeed. Fate has indeed woven an intriguing tapestry, Kevin Levin."
The Professor fixed his gaze on Kevin. "Best of luck, Kevin Levin," he said with a knowing smile before disappearing in a white light.
Kevin watched the empty alley once again. 'He is strange' Kevin thought with a frown. This man left after giving him eerie vibes, and dumping information. Well, it was time he did something about his situation, he realised.
In the seclusion of the alley, Kevin underwent a mysterious metamorphosis. The air shimmered as his form shifted, and slowly, he transformed into a ghostly alien. His once-tanned skin turned chalk white, and an otherworldly presence enveloped him. As the transformation completed, Kevin now stood with a single eye, an eerie manifestation of his abilities.
This was the hidden use of his potential. His power allowed him to copy DNA. A power which made him a living omnitrix. The DNA once he copied, it lived and was stored in his own DNA. He could easily transform into those DNA samples then.
Kevin had trained to finally able to do this after a serious practise of one month. When Servantis had left them in Nullvoid, he had absorbed some of his telepathic and telekinetic powers. That energy didn't allow Servantis to erase his memory. However Kevin accurately faked as if Servantis had succeeded. He had then proceeded to hone his powers in the waste of Null void. He also acquired DNA samples of some aliens he found during his search there. Aliens whose DNA he stored for future purposes.
The Cerebrocrustacean's powers allowed him to theorize more on his powers. It also helped him realize that he was a living Omnitrix with his power set. He had practised rigorously to achieve his goal. He meditated and made his mind calmer than ever, something which he never did before. It helped him in easing transformations between alien and his human form. While also giving him gradual advantage in absorbing more energy without turning mad. His skillset also allowed him to remain in the alien form as long he wanted. His mind was all his own afterall. However it wasn't easy. Different aliens had different mental physiology and psychology, something which was quite problematic to deal with sometimes.
With his ghostly alien form, Kevin's singular eye focused on a clothing store in the distance. The allure of acquiring garments more fitting for the urban landscape sparked his interest. The alley served as a hidden vantage point, and with a determined glide, Kevin set his course toward the store.
With a subtle shift in his powers, Kevin became invisible, his ghostly form blending seamlessly into the shadows. He glided soundlessly through the alley, in a silent way towards the shop.
He had things to do at the moment.
