Hi all. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. This worked its way into my head and would not go away. Since Konoha is ultra modern at this time, that means there has to be nightclubs too, right? During the time when Boruto is still a complete brat.

"I'm sorry, Lord Hokage, but someone has already taken up that particular booth."

Naruto could not believe what he heard. He and Hinata, the Naras, the Yamankas, the Uchihas, and the Akimichis had all decided to get together for a night out at the Hidden Shinobi, the best nightclub in Konoha. Kiba and Lee also jumped on board for the occasion. They had always come here when the situation allowed for them to take a night out since it opened.

He couldn't help the words that came out of his mouth.

"WHAT?" he shouted, pounding the reception desk with his bandaged prosthetic hand. His voice was loud enough to be heard over the loud music blaring throughout the club. "But I always make sure that booth is reserved for when we come here! Who could have possibly taken it before us?"

The hostess raised her hands defensively, wearing an expression that showed her embarrassment and distress at the situation.

"I'm sorry. I promise I'm truly sorry," she said, sounding like she was about to cry. "I can check to see if there is another one for you, but I can't guarantee anything. You're more than welcome to go right on in otherwise."

Before Naruto could say anything else, he felt a hand resting on his shoulder. He turned and saw his wife showing the most comforting smile she could muster. He wanted tonight to be special to make up for being stuck at the office all week, but somebody seemed to throw a wrench into those plans.

"We'll do that," Hinata said.

"Again, I'm so, so sorry, Lord Hokage."

Naruto gave the embarrassed hostess a smile and thumbs up.

"Don't worry about it. Stuff happens, ya know?" he replied. "I'll make sure to call earlier next time."

Even over the music, he could hear their friends grumbling about the situation as they walked in.

"What a drag," Shikamaru sighed. "We're totally exposed out here. So much for peace."

"At least we can still get up and dance," Kiba added, trying to sound optimistic. "I've been wanting to cut loose for a while now."

"Right with you there, Kiba," said Lee. "Now let's get out there and dance as hard as we can!"

The Hidden Shinobi was a bi-level club with seating and a dance floor on the bottom floor and a bar on either side of the room. The upstairs had another bar, but was mostly used for seating. Right now, the entire club was packed wall to wall with people, both shinobi and civilians alike.

"Tamaki should be here by now. I'm gonna go look for her at the bar." Naruto heard Kiba say before he went off to the bar on the right side.

The Naras, Akimichis and Yamanakas, along with Lee, went out onto the dance floor, leaving him and Hinata alone together. Sasuke and Sakura went off to get drinks at the bar on the left.

"Want me to get a drink for you?" asked Hinata, resting a hand on his shoulder.

Naruto shook his head. "No thanks."

"You're not still upset about not getting the booth, are you?"

"Nah. I'm not that petty." Naruto looked around, seeing all the people enjoying themselves. It had been a long time since he and Hinata had done anything fun like this. "Hey, Hinata?"

"Yes?"

He bit his lip as guilt washed over him. It was hard admitting he had not been the best husband and father lately, but it weighed on his mind every single day that he spent at the office. That's why he wanted to make tonight the best that it could be.

"I…I really love you," he said, a small smile playing on his lips. "I know that I'm not around a lot, but that does not mean my love for you has dampened in any capacity. That's why I wanted tonight to be special."

His wife smiled. "Any time I spend with you is special, Naruto." She kissed his cheek. "Now, come on. Let's dance."

Naruto chuckled, returning her kiss with one of his own. "That sounds great to me, Hinata."

As he took her hand to lead her out, a voice loud enough to be heard over the music reached his ear.

"Hey, big bro Naruto!"

Naruto looked to his right and saw Konohamaru come up to him, looking a little bit wobbly from presumably a few drinks. The brown-haired shinobi also had a cigar wedged between his teeth. He let out a puff of smoke before slipping the cigar out to blow up to the ceiling. The smell made him nauseous for a second.

"Konohamaru," he greeted. "What's up?"

Konohamaru threw an arm around his neck. It had enough force behind it that he nearly fell down. One look at his face told Naruto that he was completely drunk.

"Nice to see you finally broke out of that prison you call an office, my bro," he said in an obviously intoxicated tone. He giggled. "Never thought I'd see you in a place like this."

Naruto chuckled nervously. "I think you've had enough, Konohamaru. I'll get you some water."

"No way, dude. I'm fine." Konohamaru took another drag from the cigar. "If you must know, Hanabi and I are seeing who can last the longest with drinks until we pass out. So far, I'm handling myself–"

His face fell. Naruto saw a greenish coloration around his friend's face. It seemed the combination of the drinks and the cigar was finally catching up to him.

"You okay?" he asked.

"I don't feel so good." Konohamaru covered his mouth as his body heaved forward. "I think the drinks are coming back to haunt me, big bro."

Naruto's eyes narrowed. "Yeah, I'd definitely say so."

Konohamaru retched again, which caused him to sprint off toward the bathroom. Naruto couldn't help but chuckle. That little squirt he knew all those years ago had grown into quite the ninja, but he was still a young man and prone to all the trappings for someone his age.

He turned to his wife. "Can you go make sure he's okay?" he asked.

Hinata nodded. "Of course. Save a dance for me?"

"You know it, babe."

She went off in the direction of the bathrooms, leaving him by himself. Naruto wandered through the clusters of people. Patrons were too busy enjoying their drinks or conversations to notice he was there. The music blasted loudly, feeling like thunder through the floor. Up ahead, he saw Kiba and Tamaki make their way from the bar to the dance floor.

"Oh, come on, Denki! Quit being such a baby and try one."

Naruto stopped. Did he just hear what he thought he heard? The voice sounded relatively young, not like someone old enough to enter the club, but loud enough to be heard over the music. Maybe his mind was playing tricks on him. There were several others named Denki probably. It couldn't be Boruto's friend.

"Really! I think I'll pass, thanks. We're already going to be in enough trouble as it is."

"Ever the stick in the mud. What a drag."

Now he really was concerned. That sounded a lot like both Denki Kaminarimon and Shikadai. But how could that be? Kids were not allowed to come in here. He dared to take a look in the direction he heard the voices.

His jaw dropped to the floor. If this were an anime, his eyes would bulge comically out of their sockets. This was simply indescribable. Shocking was the one appropriate word that came to mind.

Seated in a booth – the booth he usually reserved – was a small group of Boruto's friends. Shikadai Nara and Denki Kaminarimon – confirming that it was indeed their voices he heard – Inojin Yamanaka, Iwabe Yuino, and Mitsuki. Even Cho-Cho Akimichi was with them. They were talking and laughing amongst themselves, but that was not the worst part to Naruto. The boys, save for Denki, had cigars tucked in their mouths.

He stormed over to the booth, his footsteps loud like thunder. None of them seemed to notice he was coming, possibly due to the music drowning out his approach. Somehow, Naruto knew that they didn't mastermind this scheme themselves.

"WHAT IS THIS?" he shouted as he reached the booth.

The boys instantly hid their cigars. Iwabe lowered a glass down to the table. Naruto hoped there wasn't alcohol in it otherwise the club would be in huge trouble. If he found out they had been serving alcohol to minors, he would have it shut down in a Konoha minute. Their faces were completely pale at the sight of him. Nobody dared to move or speak.

"Somebody speak now and I'll be as merciful with you as I can," he said steadily, trying to keep calm. "If not, your parents are here and I'll let them do whatever they see fit to punish you." He took a big breath through his nose. "Whose idea was it for you all to sneak in here?"

The boys seem to have swallowed their tongues because none of them spoke, their eyes as wide as saucer plates. Mitsuki seemed to be the only one not bothered by his presence, giving him a wave.

"Good evening, Lord Hokage," he said calmly. He was too pure for his own good sometimes, Naruto thought to himself. "It was Boruto who brought us here. So far, we've been having a good time. He said –"

"Shut up, idiot!" Shikadai squeaked, covering his mouth.

But Naruto heard all he needed to hear. Boruto. The boy was absolutely not shy about pushing the envelope on ways to give him heartburn. He knew Boruto was just doing it for his attention, but his son's actions were also hurting his reputation among the village and with his colleagues.

"Thank you, Mitsuki," Naruto said through gritted teeth, scanning the entire booth of terrified adolescents. Boruto was nowhere to be found. "Now, would any of you happen to know where Boruto is right now?"

Every single one of them pointed to the left. Naruto looked that way and saw Boruto dancing with a woman on the floor. There were lots of people dancing around him, but the shaggy blonde hair was a dead giveaway. His eyes narrowed to the point that they could have shot flames out of them.

With his gaze fixed firmly on his son, Naruto stormed off to the dance floor. Nothing else existed to him. He couldn't even hear the music anymore. Ideas of what to do to him swirled in his brain, ranging from homicidal to utter humiliation. That boy had gone way too far this time.

Moegi and Udon were just ahead of him. They must have greeted him, but he pushed past them without a word. He did not stop until he was right behind Boruto. As much as he wanted to strangle him, he couldn't do it in front of all these people.

He patted him on the shoulder.

Boruto ignored him.

He did it again, this time a little harder.

"I'm busy right now," Boruto said in an annoyed voice. "I'll take another cigar. Put it on the tab. My dad's paying for it anyway."

Naruto gritted his teeth and pounded Boruto's shoulder with his prosthetic hand.

"WHAT IS IT, GOD D-" Boruto shouted, turning on his heel. His words instantly stopped when their eyes met. His face paled and his pupils shrunk down to pinpricks practically. It took every ounce of self-control in him to not strangle Boruto right now.

"D-Dad," the boy squeaked. His eyes darted side to side, searching for something else to say.

"Boruto Minato Uzumaki," Naruto's voice was low, but projected as loud as thunder. "You have really done it this time."

He grabbed Boruto by his hair and pulled him away from the woman he was dancing with. He ignored Boruto's cries of pain as he dragged him across the floor toward the exit. The music stopped as everyone now looked to see what was going on. Naruto had never been this angry before. This was something he could not let go. The boy needed to be taught a lesson.

His eyes glanced over to the booth, where Temari pulled Shikadai by his ear with flames practically shooting out of her eyes. His cries of pain were completely ignored as Shikamaru wordlessly followed. The others were led out with no violence needed. Inojin, Denki and Iwabe hung their heads in shame while Sai and Ino escorted them out. Cho-Cho kept her head low as her mother glared at her.

"Dad! Stop! Please! You're gonna pull my hair out!" Boruto cried.

"Shut up! Just shut up!" Naruto snarled. "You're lucky I don't pull your pants down and spank your bare ass in the middle of the club. Do you want that? Because I'll do it!"

"No! I'm sorry!"

"Good! Maybe you'll finally get the message! You are in big trouble, young man. Do you hear me? Big trouble! Not just for sneaking in, or getting your friends in trouble too, but for taking the booth I usually get."

Hinata came out of the hallway that led to the bathrooms holding Konohamaru up. Once she saw them, she let him fall to the floor as she darted towards her husband, her face twisted in anger. Naruto gestured his head toward the exit.

So much for a fun night out.

Hope you guys enjoyed it and got a good laugh. Have a great day.
