Leverage HQ – Nate's Apartment

Hardison smiled as he checked his email account that he had sent up for Parker. Martel had left his dinner with Sophie and looked out Parker and anyway to contact them. Hardison had made it easy for him.

"Nate Sophie! We have the go ahead," He spine on his chair. He then deleted the website and contact information for the internet.

Eliot's Apartment – Night of the opening

Light music played on the CD player. Eliot stood in front of his hallway mirror looking at himself. He was wearing a smart, tailored evening suit. He had drawn the line at wearing a tuxedo that he knew that Nate and Hardison were being forced to wear by Sophie. Ada had picked out his outfit to match hers. He stood in front of the mirror with his tie, deep wine red, in his hand. The suit was expensive and made just for him. He placed the tie around his neck.

"You look very handsome," Ada said as she walked up behind him. He turned and smirked. "What?"

"I don't think I can let you out in that dress," Eliot husky said. She wore a 1950s inspired cowl neck slit midi dress in deep red wine. Her hair, neatly arranged in an up do with small wisps of escaping baby hair ringlets. Ada reminded him of a golden age of Hollywood, a mixture of a young Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. The dress hugged her body perfectly. He had to shake his head to get out the picture of that came into his head for it on the floor.

"You like?" Ada looked down at her dress. "I thought it was too much, but Sophie and Parker choose it."

He stepped towards her and pulled her to him. "You are perfect," he whispered before he kissed her on the lips. "Are you sure we have to go?" he joked Ada laughed into his next kiss.

"Eliot put her down we need to go," Nate said Eliot and Ada turned to the doorway to see the team all standing by the now open door. Parker and Hardison had mocking smirks on their faces. They looked like naughty siblings that had caught their older brother with his hand in the cookie jar. Nate and Hardison wore black tuxedoes. Sophie wore a black dress that had black beading detail. Parker wore a dark blue body com dress paired with a blazer jacket has she as Oda as she was technically working.

Eliot moved away from Ada but still had his arm wrapped around her shoulders. He just a little annoyed at his friends. They walked down to the front of the apartment building and into the cars that had been booked to take them to the museum.

Boston Museum of Art

The museum front was a flood of lights and guests. Dr Robinson was standing at the top of the steps with some of his senior staff. Ada and her party that included Sophie and the rest of the team were introduced to many of the other guests at the party.

Ada and Sophie stood in the middle of the room a glass of sparkling wine in hand with director of the Museum and other officials. Martel stood in front of the Necklace glass case by them with his back to the group.

"We need a distraction," Nate whispered to the team though the comms. Ada looked over and slightly nodded a slight smile on her lips. "Hardison are you ready?"

"Ready," Hardison replied he typed on his laptop. Smoke poured from the glass box that Sophie's necklace had be placed in.

"What is going on?" Martel shouted, he acted shocked. He jumped back into Ada knocking Ada down to the floor, as he had not noticed that she stood behind him. Eliot dropped down and started to check Ada. She looked ok. She winked at him and then "fainted". Eliot played along and called for help. The room was now in a panic. The guests had started to leave the galley space outside to the museum guided by the museum staff. No one noticed Eliot remove Ada's earpiece and pocket it.

"We need to go Sir," Martel was grabbed by his security team and forced out of the gallery space and into his waiting car. That he was first out of the museum building was noticed by the museum security team members in the room.

"Setting off the alarms now," Hardison warned the team before he turned on the alarms.

"Eliot get the Princess out we have it from here," Nate said as he stood in the middle of the chaos of the gallery.

"We will be outside," Elliot replied. He then whispered in Ada's ear. "Up you go," he lifted her up from the floor. Ada smiled and turned her face into his chest. Eliot walked them out of the gallery and museum before the gallery security gates started to drop over the doors. Nate, Sophie, Parker and Hardison in the gallery were the last ones left in the gallery.

"Time to get to work," Nate clapped his hands and the team started to rob the room. No one would know what they were about to do.

Outside, Eliot placed Ada down on the ground. The Museum Director rushed over them and laid put his jacket on the ground for Eliot to lay down Ada on the hard ground.

"What happened to her?" Dr Roberson asked Eliot panic in his voice. First, there was an issue with his opening night and now his special guest of honour was now on the ground in front of him.

"Martel knocked her to the floor when the smoke started pouring out," Eliot said. "He appeared to be in a hurry to get out of there."

Ada tried to get up, but Eliot gently pushed her down. "Careful."

"I need to get up," Ada said. "My head hurts," she could smell copper.

"Do you hit your head?" Dr Robinson asked.

"I did not think so," Ada wiped her hand across her face. She had a small nosebleed.

"We need some help over here!" Dr Robinson shouted. A police officer and a firefighter rushed over to the small group and started asking questions to Ada and Eliot. Decided that Ada and Eliot were to go to the hospital for more checks.

The team were quick, they had worked on the plan, and they had practiced what they were doing. Each of the glass boxes opened and the objects removed.

Boston Hospital room

Ada was in private room. It was a small mostly white room a large window over the hospitals small garden courtyard and a small 30-inch TV. There was a blurry Monet print on the wall to brighten up the room. It was a very cheap print. The room smelt of cleaning bleach and for some reason old socks.

Eliot had stayed with her throughout the night she had been in the hospital. He had only stepped out to phone her brother. Oda her assistant was texted, and she was on her way back from the safe house now that it was safe. Plans made Ada was soon to return home. She was just had to wait on clearance from the Doctors.

Parker was the first in the room. Followed by the rest of the team.

"When are you getting out?" Sophie asked has she sat on the only other spare chair in the room.

"I am hopefully getting out as soon as the Doctors sign it off," Ada said. She noticed Parker eyeing her Jell-O pot. "Parker, you can have it. They brought the wrong type, and I cannot eat it."

"It's green my favourite," Parker grabbed and opened the pot and started to down the jelly. She sat on the edge of hospital bed.

Hardison felt he phone buzz and switched on the TV and flicked over to the news channel.

"In criminal news, local businessman Martel has been arrested," the newsreader voice over a clip of Martel walked out of his apartment front door and into a police car by FBI and Police. "Last night at the opening for the Boston Museum's newest exhibition was robbed. A Museum Spokesperson told media that the events of last night and this morning have been heart breaking," a short clip of the spokesperson talking outside the museum.

"The items have been quickly found thanks to great work of Boston PD and FBI. We were shocked how a long-term supporter of the museum decided to get involved in such a crime. The more we have learnt about Mr Martel's plan and activities the more that we are pained. The Museum is currently working with the officials for multiple investigating services."

Flashback

Nate stood on the back plate of van in a carpark-loading bay. He smiled and pulled down the back hatch.

Flash forward to Martel's Penthouse Apartment

The apartment was a large and open space with large floor to ceiling windows on one wall that covered the top floor of the building. Daniel walked into the Penthouse unlocked the door and stepped into the modern living room. He found his boss sat on one of the large white cream sofas the necklace of the innocence in his hands.

"Sir?" Daniel tried to get his notice.

"I have it," Martel loudly whispered. "My plan worked."

The door opened and two FBI agents stepped into the apartment. They flashed their badges one was older and one younger and taller.

"Agents Taggert and McSweeten," the younger of the two introduced themselves. "Mr Martel?" McSweeten asked.

"It has come to the Bureau's notice," Taggert started they both noticed the necklace in Martel's hand. "Mr Martel you are under arrest for theft…"

"I did not do this," Martel tried to say. "It was a Thief by the name of Parker."

Flashback end

"We may have sent our favourite agents a tip," Hardison turned off the TV. "And a key to a local storage unit that the Mark used to ship and store his ill-gotten gains. Including his Nazis treasures."

Flashback

Taggert and McSweeten using the key unlocked the correct unit. The door lifted and inside was the Sword of the Eagle as well as all the other objects that had been taken from the museum.

Flash back end

"It also does not help that we managed to clear out his accounts and emailed a few people," Nate said. "He is not going to be an issue anymore to you."

"Thank you," Ada smiled and turned to Eliot who had been quiet sat next to her bed. "I am not sure how to repay you."

"No need," Nate touched her hand. "I am sure Eliot as said that we work on a different revenue system."
