Chapter 6: B-Komachi Debuts

Ruby adjusted her white and yellow top while in the female locker room at the college where Reiner was having her fight. Since they were idols, they dressed more conservatively than normal show girls in a match, especially since they were all still teenagers.

Ruby and Kana were dressed in a white and yellow top that exposed their naval, just barely. They also had skirts that went down to their mid-thigh and shorts underneath. Lastly, calf high boots that were vaguely in the same style as boxer shoes, though with a small heel.

Ruby checked herself in the mirror really quick, making sure her makeup and hair were styled perfectly. She needed to ensure she made a good first impression.

"This is exciting." She said out loud.

"Honestly, I'm not a fan of MMA styled outfits, but it'll do I guess." Kana said with a little twirl to make sure the skirt wouldn't go too high. Since she was an idol now, she needed to make sure she played the role of an innocent girl now.

"I wish papa was here though." Ruby said sadly.

"Well, I don't." Kana said as she crossed her arms.

"He's really not that scary." Ruby said.

"How can you say that. He killed dozens if not hundreds of Yakuza thugs." Kana retorted. "People always said that he would kill anyone that slighted him, or that people have disappeared because of disrespecting him."

"Those are ridiculous conspiracies." Ruby sweat dropped. "The only time I ever saw him get violent was when mama and I were attacked or threatened."

"That's another thing, how does someone like Ai marry him?" Kana asked. "I know idols aren't as innocent as they make themselves out to be, but he's completely terrifying. I feel like any moment he'll try to rip my head off." Kana started shaking slightly.

"Well, I never saw him like that." Ruby said. "I think the first time I really met him, mama took him to a concert since he never saw one. He was sad but really nice and kind. I couldn't talk to him at first since we didn't share a language, but he was always nice and kind. The only time I ever saw him get mad or scary was again, when someone tried to hurt me and mama."

"Did you ever think it was an act?" Kana asked.

"No, I never did." Ruby said. "Despite what YouTube would say, we didn't learn he was the Akuma no Ko until everyone else did. Then he saved us from those Yakuza guys."

"Yea, with a reverse grip rocket launcher." Kana said with a sweatdrop. She saw some video games and movies and even she knew you don't shoot it like that.

"Get ready girls." Ai said from outside the locker room.

"Ok, let's get ready." Ruby said.

Ruby and Kana made their way into the hall, where Ai was waiting for them. Ai was dressed in a beige suit pants and suit jacket, with a pair of high heeled sandals on. She needed to look professional now that she was a manager. Though she did keep her shoulder length hair in a side ponytail to show a bit of youth.

"You girls ready?" Reiner asked.

Reiner was dressed as they expected an MMA fighter to look. Shorts that went to about mid-thigh, gloves, shirtless, and wearing shin protectors. Since he was still in a junior league, they required their fighters to wear the shin protectors for their safety.

"Yup, ready." Ruby yelled and held up a peace sign with a smile, making Reiner blush again.

Kana had to admit, whatever training program Reiner was on was impressive. He looked large and had a well-defined body, which really showed how seriously he took the training.

"What do you think?" Reiner joked a bit, flexing for a moment to show off his muscles.

Ai giggled a bit, wondering if he was trying to impress Ruby. His flex was subtle, but we was trying some way to impress her daughter. Unfortunately, Reiner would learn it would be in vain.

"Bleh." Ruby stuck her tongue out and gave him a thumbs down.

Ai laughed as Reiner practically deflated, looking like he got stabbed in the gut again.

"Sorry." ruby giggled as well. "I just don't like big muscles."

"Sadly Braun-San, the ideal male beauty standard is skinny and low muscle. So, it won't work here." Ai said.

"Well, had to try." Reiner smiled.

Ai found something about Reiner strange. He acted as she would expect a teenage boy to act, but he seemed mature for his age. Not only that, she felt like there was a darkness in him. She noticed it in his more private moments, like when he would stare off into space and be lost in thought.

Weirdly, it reminded her of her husband, Eren. It was that same stare and moment of being lost in the past that Eren had when he thought about whatever war he was in. Which made no sense to her. Her online research showed he came from a loving home, but she wondered if maybe his home life was more difficult than was shown to the public.

Ruby though, didn't notice at all.

"Well, we'll head out and I'll do the matches. As long as you two act like idols and smile, we'll at least get you some recognition." Reiner said.

After one more instance of Ai going over what specifically the girls would do, Reiner and the group went out into the gym that had an octagon added to the center. There were a lot of people around the ring and in the bleachers, mostly members of the college and a few scouts to evaluate Reiner and the other fighters.

Most fighters were seventeen and preparing for a career in the UFC, with Reiner being the youngest. This was mainly a tournament to scout potential new fighters before they turned eighteen, though Reiner was trying to push to allow him to fight despite his young age.

Ruby and Kana smiled and waved as they walked next to Reiner. Hoping to draw attention on themselves as well. On Reiner's shorts, running down the side was the name B-Komachi, which hopefully would act as advertisement for the idol group.

Ai hoped Reiner would win, despite going against older fighters. They also relied on an interview with a few media crews watching the tournament, which would only interview him if he won. It was a gamble, but so was everything else.

"Good luck Braun-San!" Ruby yelled and waved as Reiner entered the ring.

Reiner looked back at her and gave a gentle smile with a wave. Ai noticed him blush again, which was still cute to her. She did actually like Reiner and wouldn't mind him and Ruby getting closer, as long as Ruby didn't limit her chances of being happy because of her career.

Although, when the fight started, Ai noticed something odd about the way he fought. It reminded her of Eren again. Reiner seemed to be holding back, as if he wasn't trying to win but prolong the fight.

Ai was no expert in fighting at all, so she had no idea what moves they were using. But she was very good at reading emotions and faces. While Reiners opponent seemed tired and seemed like he was struggling, Reiner was more neutral. He winced and made faces that looked like he was struggling, but Ai could tell it was forced and mostly fake.

However, if he was trying to pretend to struggle, he did a good job of it. A few times Reiner would get hit and intentionally let his opponent grapple him. By the time Reiner won the match, his nose was bleeding, and he had a cut on his brow.

Why was he holding back?

"Are you ok!?" Ruby yelled as Reiner exited the arena.

"Yea, he got a few hits in." Reiner said, putting a wet rag on the cut of his brow.

"Here, let me see that." Ruby said as she removed the towel.

"It's fine." Reiner said.

Ruby inspected the cut and looked it over, trying to see how bad it was. She reached down and got a first aid kit, immediately applying first aid to the cut.

"It's fine, really." Reiner said.

"You were holding back." Ai said to Reiner.

"Nani?" Ruby asked as she finished putting a band aid on the cut.

"Yea, I was." He chuckled.

"Why?" Ai asked.

"I don't want to win too quickly." He said with a low laugh. "I need to put on a good show. Otherwise, I'd win fights too fast, and no one wants to spend money on a ticket to a fight that lasts two seconds."

"You're saying you can beat anyone in two seconds?" Ruby asked.

"Yup, anyone." He smiled, hoping to impress her.

"Well, probably not my papa." Ruby said. "He can beat anyone."

"Well, I won't argue that." Reiner said. "He was a criminal, right?"

"He was never charged." Ai said with a slight laugh, knowing it was never a good idea to admit that publicly. "Did you research B-Komachi?"

"Not really." Reiner shrugged. "I did some light research, so I know very little outside of some controversy or something like that. And that you married a criminal."

"Yea, Eren did add to it, but he wasn't the main reason for it." Ai said.

"Eren?" Reiner asked.

"Yes, he's a Ukrainian refugee." Ai said.

"How old is he?" Reiner asked.

"About thirty now, why?" Ai asked.

Oddly, she saw Reiner breathe a sigh of relief, as if he was worried about what she would have said.

"No reason, I knew an Eren. But if he was here, he should be my age." Reiner said. "We uh... didn't get along well."

"You think I'd marry and have children with a child?" Ai crossed her arms, slightly offended at the insinuation.

"No, no." Reiner held his hands up with a nervous laughter. "I just... it was just a reaction. I meant nothing by it."

"She'll forgive you." Ruby said with a smile, showing that she was just teasing him. "As long as you win and get our name out there."

"No problem." Reiner laughed.

Still, his reaction was odd to Ai. She assumed that whatever his Eren did to him made him very upset to even the possibility of meeting again.

Oh well, if his Eren is supposed to the same age, then it's clearly not her husband.

Bang!

The moment Miyuki heard gunshots; he knew that Eren was compromised. He unfortunately couldn't see Eren from his position since there was vegetation blocking his view, but he new Eren was compromised.

Sadly, with no weapon to defend himself, Miyuki knew his only hope was to run and leave Eren. It was terrible, but if they both got caught then they wouldn't be able to deliver the information back to Naicho. Especially since Spies can be legally arrested and prosecuted for espionage. The Geneva Convention did not protect spies.

Besides, Eren was strong and could handle himself. So, Miyuki had to leave and hope Eren made it. Metaphorically, they were dangling off a cliff with a single rope tethering them. Miyuki had to cut Eren's rope and make it home. It was something they were trained to do if necessary.

They weren't Soldiers, they were Intelligence Agents.

Miyuki put away his binoculars and ran for it, going back the same route they came from to reach the bikes. They had their escape route planned to follow a different road back to the car since you never want to reuse routes in enemy territory.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

More bullets sounded, along with a few more that he assumed came from Eren. Eren was a very good fighter and Miyuki knew he'd get a gun. But even Eren would get overrun if he couldn't escape in time. There were too many soldiers all over the place.

Suddenly, Miyuki tripped as he felt an earthquake suddenly hit. The earthquake was sudden and lasted for a moment. He even saw a yellow flash in Eren's direction, which confused him.

Miyuki stood up and continued running, reaching the road that had their bikes stashed. After getting it ready to leave, he glanced back down the road to the city for a moment and hoped Eren would be there.

Instead he saw...

"What the fuck?" He said to himself.

How could he describe what he was seeing? He wondered if maybe he was sick and hallucinating what he looked at. Because how do you explain a giant naked man standing down the road, covered in steam?

Like an idiot, Miyuki paused and stared at it, still on his bike and he looked over at the massive monster. Curiosity got the better of him, so he took out his camera and started to take pictures, just to see if maybe he was crazy.

A few people on the road showed up and looked at the monster. Some even got their phones and started to take videos of it as it just stood there.

The creature looked... confused? That's the only way Miyuki could describe it. A giant 10-15 meter tall naked guy was standing there, staring at his hands, as if he was drunk or something. He even made a facial expression that looked confused, though his mouth was missing lips and only conveyed the emotion through his eyes.

Suddenly, the monsters arm flew off-

BOOM!

Miyuki had to regain his footing as the sound of what he assumed was a tank shot reverberated through the trees.

The monster staggered back; his arm completely blown off from the tank shell. Miyuki assumed that woke it up from whatever trance it was in, making it react.

Another shell went by the creature, but it dodged it, moving faster and swifter than any creature that size should. It was like watching a blue whale suddenly jump out of the water and do flips like a dolphin. It simply didn't look like it made sense.

He saw the creature run up to a tank and kick it, using the momentum to lift the tank up and flip it on its side. Miyuki could see what look like blue ice form on the shin where it impacted, as if it was suddenly frozen in that area.

BOOM!

Another tank round launched, impacting the monster's stomach and causing it to fall down as an entire hole was blown out of its gut. It landed on its back and rolled to regain its footing.

Another tank shell, from a different tank, fired and hit the shoulder of its already destroyed arm. That section of the arm was blown off as well, knocking it down again.

Whatever this thing was, it was no match against a literal battalion of tanks shooting it.

The creature slammed its remaining arm into the ground, but looked surprised as nothing happened. Miyuki had no idea what it was trying to do, but it gave the tank another clean shot to hit it.

BOOM!

Another round hit it in the face. Luckily, or unluckily, it was at an angle that destroyed its face from its nose down to the jaw, leaving the head and neck largely untouched. However, its face was completely destroyed from the impact.

The creature seemed to realize that it was outmatched and turned and ran, right towards Miyuki.

Miyuki yelled out as it ran up the road where he was, watching in fear and amazement as it stepped over him in the run, spilling blood all over where it ran. He barely saw it reach into the trees for something, as if he stumbled, but Miyuki had no time to admire what he saw.

"Time to get out of here!" He yelled out as he peddled up the road, in the direction of the monster.

He had no choice but to follow it. The monster went north, so until he took an alternate route, he had to follow it since his only way to the embassy was the car they stashed.

Miyuki wondered vaguely that if he was to be timed, he would break a world record for the fastest 60 kilometer bike ride. His adrenalin kicked in and forced him to go faster than he ever thought possible. He was physically fit, sure, but no athlete. But it was amazing what adrenalin could do.

In the back of his mind, he wondered if that monster would appear from the trees again. It seemed to run into the tree line and disappeared, though Miyuki wondered if it would ambush him. It was a fear that persisted and practically forced him to peddle faster and faster.

By the time he reached the city, it was getting dark. All he needed to do was-

"Miyuki, over here!" Eren yelled by the car.

"Eren!" Miyuki called out as he skidded to a halt and practically jumped off the bike. "You're ok!?" He asked.

"Yea, I managed to get out of there." Eren said.

"You must have peddled faster than me, you're practically steaming." Miyuki laughed, noticing Eren was steaming from the sweat that accumulated on his body. Even Miyuki steamed a little in the chilly air.

"What's with the weird tear lines under your eyes?" Miyuki asked.

"Just bruising." Eren said.

"I never saw any bruises like-"

"Just shut it for now." Eren said, in a state of almost shock. "Let's just get out of here."

Eren got into the driver seat while Miyuki got into the passenger seat, and he drove off back to Beijing and back to the Japanese Embassy.

He was lucky to escape the way he did. He had to grab his bike from the tree line so he could exit his Titan body out of sight and peddle his way back to the car to avoid people seeing him. It was an exhausting ride back, especially since his mind was running with so many thoughts.

One odd thing he thought about was how he faired against this world's military as a Shifter. When he first learned of the weapons and vehicles of this world, he always wondered how he would fair in a fight against them. Needless to say, he was no match against so many anti-Titan weapons.

He doubted any Titan was a match for them. Even with a rumbling, he wondered if this world would be able to stop it. Especially with the amount of planes and bombs they had. Technically, the flying boat was enough to beat him, and Armin's transformation obliterated his body. A nuclear weapon would make short work of him.

Though to be fair, Eren was in a state of shock. When he first transformed, all he could do was stare at his hands. Completely amazed at the familiar feeling of sensing the world from the body of his Titan form all over again. That moment of shock let his arm get completely blown off.

Even when he kicked the tank, all he could do was flip it. Titan flesh was not dense and without his hardening ability, his leg would have been broken off from the impact. He doubted he even did any damage to it.

He tried the Warhammers ability but was unable to use it. He hoped to generate hardened spikes from the ground, but it didn't work, causing him to get hit again.

That being said... why does he have Titan powers?

Eren knew for a fact that his powers should be gone. He tried using them years ago, when he first got to Japan. There's no moment where he ever come into contact with any source of life or anything. Even if he did have all these powers, the Curse of Ymir should have killed him six years ago.

There was no rational explanation for him to have his powers again. It just brought so many questions. Does the Curse continue from now on, meaning he has four years left, or did it reset, and he has thirteen years.

Did the Curse even exist now? Ymir should be gone, finally able to move on to whatever awaits souls beyond death. Especially with the Source of all Life killed. Eren saw it, it was killed, and all trace of Titan abilities was gone.

What about his family? How would they react if they ever learned of his past.

"So... what the hell was that?" Miyuki asked.

"Good question." Eren said, trying to act surprised. "It nearly crushed me."

"I mean, you saw it too, right?" Miyuki asked.

"Yes." Eren said.

"I'm looking at the digital camera, and I can't believe it." He said. "We need to show these to the director."

"Sure." Eren said.

There was no way he couldn't. Miyuki would share their findings no matter what, all Eren could do was distance himself from suspicion.

"What if a monster like that is in Japan?" Miyuki asked.

"Then we'll have to find it." Eren said.

Besides, it might be good to have Naicho understand how the Titans worked. It could help him to find the Shifter who was in Japan. Especially if they decide to attack Eren, with how modern technology gives this world an edge, they could easily kill the Shifter and eren could avoid transforming.

"Hey, your scar is gone." Miyuki said.

"Huh?" Eren asked.

Eren looked in the mirror and saw what he meant. The scar on his eyebrow, the one he got when he fought Mao at the concert, was gone. It healed, something he expected now as a shifter.

Come to think of it, his hearing was better. When he was in the Yakuza, all the times he shot a gun slowly degraded his hearing overtime. It was still fine, but a bit degraded. Now, he felt like suddenly he could hear as well as when he was a teenager.

He needed to get back to Japan so he could figure out what to do.

"It was a hard tournament, but I'm happy to have so many fans supporting me." Reiner said as he got interviewed.

He held a tournament trophy and had a towel around his shoulders. His face was bruised and had some dried blood on it, but it was a relatively easy fight for him. He mostly just let himself get hit.

The lady interviewing him was a single reporter. It wasn't a lot of fanfare, but it was just a high school tournament. It only got more recognition than normal since the elite "Sulze" was trying to be the youngest fighter to compete in the UFC.

"We saw those women with you and noticed the new brand on your shorts. Are you advertising anything?" The interviewer asked.

"Actually, yes." Reiner said. "Those two girls are Ruby Hosh- Wait... Hoshino Ruby and Arima Kana." He said, remembering Japanese order of names. "They're an idol group called B-Komachi. They're pretty new so we did a small collaboration."

"Really, what do you think of them?" The reporter asked.

Reiner crossed his arms and adopted a serious pose.

"They're still new but have a lot of drive to succeed in the idol industry. After working with them and watching them practice, I can say they have a lot of natural talent. I personally can't wait to see them perform." Reiner said.

While he did mostly believe everything he said, it was a practiced script that Ai wrote to hopefully start the narrative she wanted to say. She even gave Reiner some pre-planned answers to any potential questions.

"Isn't B-Komachi a failed idol group from a decade ago?" The reporter asked. "If I remember right, the lead girl Ai had a lot of controversy."

"She's currently the new manager actually." Reiner said.

"Really?" The reporter asked.

"Her daughter is one of the current members, that being Ruby." He said. "If you want my opinion, I feel like she has a lot of the same talents her okaasan had."

Better to get that out of the way. Considering how much Japanese YouTubers made videos on Eren and the family to get him arrested, everyone would easily learn Ruby was Ai's daughter. Better to rip that bandage off now.

"Well, what's next for you?" The reporter asked.

"Submit my request to compete and see what happens there." Reiner said. "I only hope my 800,000 followers enjoy my upcoming fights."

After a few more questions were answered, Reiner left the gym and went back to the locker room. Even though he went to the males locker room, the girls were there as well since they sectioned it off for the tournament.

Ai was sitting cross legged on a bench as she went through her phone to check the online reaction to the interview. Ruby and Kana were already changed and in casual jeans and t-shirts.

"So, what's the reaction?" Reiner asked.

"Predictable." Ai said. "About half honestly. It seems split between people hating the new B-Komachi and others willing to give Ruby and Arima-San a chance. And of course, there's accusations of me abusing my daughter for fame."

"It's not true mama!" Ruby yelled out.

"Don't worry, those accusations are good. People are already showing sympathy for you because of that." Ai said with a small smile.

It didn't feel good to have her name and reputation destroyed again, but it was easy to bear if it meant her daughter would succeed. Her reputation meant very little to her compared to Ruby's. Ai would sacrifice anything to make her daughter happy.

"Now there's you!" Ruby yelled at Reiner.

"Me?" He asked.

"Yea, sit down so I can see those wounds." Ruby practically ordered.

"It's really no issue." He said. "I actually heal pretty fast." He chuckled, as if there was an inside joke there.

"It doesn't matter, we need to make sure they don't get infected." Ruby said.

She practically forced the tall German teenager to sit down on the bench and stood in front of him. She bent forward in front of his face so she could start cleaning the cuts and bruises on his face, injuries he admitted to intentionally taking to make the fight more interesting.

Ai giggled at her daughter's innocence. Reiner had his head turned and had a slight blush since Ruby unknowingly was putting her breasts close to his face due to her positions as she treated his injuries. If it wasn't for the fact that she was wearing a t-shirt that fully covered her, Ai would have stopped her.

"I need some help Arima-San, please follow me." Ai said, leading the redheaded idol out of the locker room. "We'll be right back Ruby-Chan."

"Nani?" Kana asked.

Ai wanted to give them some alone time. She trusted Reiner to be a gentleman towards her but secretly hoped Ruby could find some happiness with a boy. She didn't want Ruby to isolate herself because of her career the same way she did. It was a hell Ai never wants her daughter to experience.

She would just have to make sure ruby was careful, so she didn't end up pregnant.

"Ok mama." Ruby said, completely oblivious to her okassan's maneuvering.

Ruby continued to work on Reiner's face, putting small band aids-

"Is that a bear?" Reiner asked.

"Yes, it's cute." Ruby smiled as she showed him the cartoon teddy bear band aid.

"I really don't need-"

"There, now it should be better." She smiled.

"What were the designs of the other band aids..." Reiner turned to the mirror.

Everything from little bear designs to hearts and roses. He felt completely humiliated.

"There, see?" Ruby said. "Now you should heal in no time."

"Right..." Reiner said with a deadpanned look.

There was a moment of silence between the two as Ruby started to pack up the first aid kit. She didn't like to see anyone in pain, especially since she knew better than anyone how it could feel to go to a hospital. She didn't want an infection or injury to permanently hurt Reiner and send him to remain alone in a hospital. It was a horrible thing for her to imagine.

"Can I ask you a question?" Ruby asked.

"You just did." Reiner chuckled.

Ruby just pouted cutely at him.

"Sorry, go ahead." He said with another chuckle.

"The Eren you knew, did you know him in this life or your previous one?" Ruby asked.

Reiner was quiet for a moment, as if he was remembering something bad and terrifying. Ruby was a little worried she asked a bad question and brought back bad memories, but he seemed calm about it.

"My previous one." Reiner said.

"And you two didn't get along?" Ruby asked.

"No, not really. At least, the past few years." He said. "I wondered if anyone else from my past was reborn here, but I never found anyone."

"Are you sure he died?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, I saw it." Reiner said.

"Really?" Ruby asked. "H-how?" He asked, timidly.

"It was before I was reborn." Reiner said. "I was... in a battle."

"You were a Soldier?" Ruby asked.

"I guess, more of a Warrior." He said cryptically.

"If you're American, were you a part of the American military?" She asked.

"Sure." Reiner said, though somewhat as a shrug.

"I guess that's how you died." Ruby said sadly.

"Possibly." He shrugged. "Though, I don't remember actually dying. I guess a rocket hit me when I wasn't expecting it."

"That's horrible." Ruby said.

"Not really." Reiner shrugged. "If I don't remember, it was probably quick and painless."

Ruby guessed there was some truth to that. She died slowly as her body gave out from the cancer ravaging it. It was long, drawn out, painful, and she had to deal with the abandonment and isolation of being in the hospital. She was always grateful to Doctor Goro for being there until the end.

"And you saw your Eren die?" Ruby asked.

"Yes." Reiner said. "He was running and another soldier, a girl named Gabi, shot him."

"I'm sorry." Ruby said sadly.

"He was the enemy at the time, we had no choice." Reiner said. "Next thing I know, I'm waking up in a womans arms and having a breast shoved in my face."

"Hentai..." Ruby glared. "I bet a perve like you enjoyed it." She crossed her arms, looked away from him, and pouted.

"Hentai, what's that?" Reiner asked.

"It means your a pervert." Ruby said.

"It's not like I could do anything." Reiner said defensively. "It was that or die. My new okaasan didn't believe in bottles."

"Sure..." Ruby kept her pout.

"What about you?" Reiner asked.

"It's an important bonding moment between okaasan and daughter, which should only be shared by a okaasan and daughter." Ruby countered back.

"I guess you're the hentai one here." Reiner smirked.

"I am not!" Ruby pouted. "It's completely natural!"

"I know, baby boys need to eat too." Reiner said. "I was starving, I had no choice."

"Whatever you say pervy-san." Ruby said.

"I guess you are one too." Reiner said.

"No, I'm a girl. It's fine if I do it." Ruby denied.

"Whatever you say pervy-san." He chuckled.

"Don't you use my logic against me!" Ruby started to raise her voice.

"I am." Reiner smiled.

Ruby gave him a pout as she glared at him. Instead of continuing, she crossed her legs and arms and turned away from Reiner with a "hmph".

"You should go see your okaasan since I need to get changed." He said. "Unless pervy-san- ow." His joke was cut off as Ruby pinched his arm.

"That's what you get." She stuck her tongue out at him. "I'll see you by the car." Ruby said as she stood up. "And Reiner."

"Yes?" Reiner looked at her.

"Thanks for helping our idol group. It means a lot." She smiled genuinely at him.

"No problem." Reiner smiled back, though he had a small blush.

"We're doing Karaoke for the celebration, so we'll need to see if you have the singing talent to be allowed to bask in our presence." She giggled.

"You'll be disappointed, I promise." Reiner said.

When Ruby left, Reiner was left alone to his thoughts. He still felt the stupid band aids on his face, but he felt like it was nice. He still blushed when he thought of the red eyed blonde treating him. All he could think in his head was "Marry me".

Though... it was an odd feeling. It took him a while in this new life, to finally let go of his old one. At least a few times, he felt like he wanted to end it all, even in this new life, and permanently let himself perish. Though, he always wondered how his new parents would feel if their toddler son killed himself.

At first, he told himself he didn't care. They weren't his parents, not his real ones. Though it was weird to grow up with a father that actually care for you. With no Eldians in this world, he felt like he could be an equal to society for the second time in his life. The only time he felt like he was a real person was his short time as a soldier within the walls.

Now, he had a second chance. Everyone from his world was gone. He never met anyone else who was reborn, and he never intended to. He wanted to live a normal life in this world, pursue a career in the one thing he was really good at, and maybe even get married and settle down.

"Yea." He said to himself. "Just move on and look to a better future."

Reiner truly felt like he could let go of his old life and embrace this new one.

Another chapter down.

Hope you guys enjoyed the Titan fight, especially from Miyuki's point of view. I had a few people message me about how Titan's would fair against modern technology, and don't worry, I'm with you guys lol. I am glad you guys shared your thoughts with me, it did spark some fun conversations lol.

With Reiner, some basic information was revealed that will be relevant to how the magic in the world works. I want to keep things consistent while blending with the rules of AoT and OnK. Let's hope I succeed, though no spoilers now. It'll be a while before everything is revealed.

I know some people may be confused as to how Reiner doesn't know about Eren... he was born and raised in Germany. Japanese news doesn't travel so well in non-English speaking countries. Especially someone like him that probably doesn't use the internet much outside of work. He did a five minute google of the former B-Komachi and that was it lol.

As always, I hope everything is believable and hope you guys enjoyed.
