Katniss Everdeen is the sole survivor of the 74th Hunger Games and has somehow befriended Finnick Odair. To stop the rebellion, Snow has offered an alternative to being sold to the Capitol. She can find a new love to distract Panem. As the lines blur between Katniss and Finnick's 'relationship", the Quarter Quell announcement forces her to decide truth and lie, and life and love.

"BO-ARD!" The conductor hollers out the last call. Peeta nods once sadly, and begins to turn away. Katniss launches herself forward. Peeta is just turning back when Katniss slams into him, throws her arms around his neck and kisses him deeply, full on the lips. Instantly, Peeta's arms steal about her slim waist and he's kissing her back.

Mrs. Snow was married to her husband for more years than her fingers could count and Mr. Heavensbee had great plans laid out for the nation that would get him removed from the precious thing called 'life' if found out. Somehow, both collide at an evening dinner, share a few interests, and repeatedly have to remind themselves that they shouldn't be that foolish.
