(Transfer student comes to Hogwarts. She comes to Hogwarts in her third year. She gets put in Gryffindor and gets on the Quidditch team as Beater. Bill Weasley is in his fifth year, Charlie Weasley is in his third year, and Percy will be in his first year at Hogwarts. There will be an adventure for the group (Bill, Charlie, and Rowan.)
Rowan breathed out as she was on the train. This was her first year at Hogwarts. She was in her third year as a transfer, but her letter told her she had to hang with the first years taking the boat to the castle so she could be sorted. For her first two years, she had been in the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft Wizardry in America where her parents worked. She had been placed in Thunderbird House.
They had just left the station, and she watched out the landscape as it passed. Her mind was not in a good place her mind was going back to that day. Her father and mother were both Magizoologists It had been about two weeks after the end of her third year. Her parents were never too scared to take her on their search for new magical creatures. She had been excited and enjoyed learning about the magical creatures. However, she was sure she wasn't going to join her parents and become a Magizoologist.
They had gone to Ireland into the deep woods. His father had heard about something that was roaming around that didn't fit into any kind of magical creature that had been in the books. His mother was American and his father had moved here from London. His mother was an orphan and his father had a large family in England. They had already been there about three days already found a good camping place. Things were going well it was a new adventure with her parents.
The next day they had packed up to travel deeper into the forest. There was one other person with them an assistant to her parents. What they came upon was a horrible sight. It was two wizards and a witch who had a dead Phoenix lying at their feet. They were trying to get the other phoenix who looked young. Her parents and the assistant took on the fight to save the phoenix that was alive.
She was pressed against a tree as she watched. Her mother went down and she almost ran to her, but she saw her father shake his head. Her father and the assistant were able to take down one. Then that was when his father and the last wizard sent curses both went down. She ran to her parents they were not moving. The assistant was sent out for help when she felt something nuzzle her. It was the phoenix that survived.
After the message was sent out, the assistant had been hurt. What she found out later he had been cursed as well and died. The witch that had survived and had been trying to kill the second phoenix had run after the first Wizard died. Rowan thought she was a coward but was glad she had left because then she may have been killed that was what her grandmother said. She never told them she wished she had died too. Though she had a new friend, the Phoenix stayed by her side. She felt lucky there Phoenix was independent, and you had to be very lucky to befriend one that would be your companion till the day you died.
She was amazed that she got the approval to bring Ember with her. Though she had heard that Head Master Dumbledor had Fawks his own Phoenix. She sat there on a train with a large birdcage next to her with Ember in there. One smaller one with her owl. Her father came from a wealthy family of pure witches and wizards. Though they fought for the right side of the Wizarding world. Her grandfather still worked at The Ministry of Magic dealing with magical creatures.
Then there was her grandmother no matter how much money they had. She had taken the business over from her parents. They had been the ones that ran the apothecary in Hogsmeade. That was where her grandparents lived on the outskirts of the village. Was kind of funny she was taking the train, but that was a tradition for all the students. When she lived so close to Hogwarts, she was okay with that. She wanted to get to school where studies would keep her mind off her parents.
When the train stopped, she was worried about leaving Ember. She had an idea she smiled as she opened the window on the side of the train that no one was in. She let Ember fly out as she watched her go fast she was sure a few might have seen her. She kept the cage covered because she didn't want to cause a big commotion in front of the other students. She moved out and the night went well it seemed. It was odd being the only third year to be with the first years to be sorted. She was placed in Gryffindor. When she set down, she was next to a tall redhead that had a perfect badge on him. He touched her back smiling. He spoke. "I am Bill Weasley welcome to Hogwarts and the Gryffindor house. Rowan Moody, it's good to have you here." He seemed to smile softly.
