Growing up, I've always been told that there's some type of peace that comes with death. That dying is a destiny fulfilled and your soul will find contentment in the rest it has been granted. Whoever came up with that bullshit is fucking lying.
'You Died'
I've been staring at those words for what's felt like an eternity. I can't stop thinking about how bad I that night was. I remember everything clearly, it happened so fast.
It was my little brothers birthday and my mother and I took him out to dinner that night. It was a big deal for us because we were poor even though both my parents grew up with rich parents. My moms family made it big in the oil industry. My grandfather was in charge of the company. When she was 15, he started taking an interest in her and tried to sleep with her. After she rejected his advances, she was disowned and kicked out the house. She ended up hanging with the wrong crowd and had me three years later.
My dads side of the family was full of doctors and lawyers. My dad died when I was 11 when my moms ex found out that he got her pregnant with my little brother. Ever since then my grandparents cut all ties with us and never spoke to us again.
My mom couldn't handle all the stress of everything and looked to drink as an outlet, naturally she got addicted to it and lost herself into the alcohol. 6 months ago she lost her fifth job in a row for coming to work drunk. After that she lost it and even went as far a to hit my brother. After she realized what she had done, she got up and left and we haven't seen her since. I dropped out of high school and got a job to provide for us.
Anyway, I've been saving up for the past two months to take him out and I really wanted to make this night special for him. I took him to Denny's because I couldn't afford anything better. His favorite show was power rangers and so I got him a red ranger onesie and sword from the show and he loved it. After we finish eating we began our walk back to our rusty apartment. On the way we saw some gangsters jumping some old guy. I turned to tell my brother to not look and keep walking but when I turned, he was already walking towards them. I cursed before going after him before something bad happened.
"Hey leave him alone you big meany" he said with his squeaky 8 year old voice,
"Or what" said one of the gangsters walking towards him looking down at him
"If you don't stop, I'm gonna have to stop you" said my little brother. At that point, I finally caught up to him but one of the guys managed to get behind me and held a gun to my head
"And who the fuck do you think you are"
"I am...the red ranger" my little brother said with as much conviction as he could muster
The gangsters paused for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter. Embarrassed, my little brother walked up to the lead gangster and hit him in the face with his plastic sword
"You little shit" the gangster cried before pulling out a gun and shooting my brother right in his heart.
My brother dropped to the floor dead before he hit the ground. I ran to him not caring anymore about the gun pointed to my head and cradled my brothers head in my arms. I remember crying over his body, begging and screaming to anyone to bring my brother back. I wasn't really religious, but I even prayed to God begging to bring him back and take me instead if he had to. Suddenly I herd a voice say,
"If this is what you truly wish for, then so be it"
I looked for the voice that said it but I couldn't find it. Suddenly my brother breathed and everything started to go black. The last thing I saw was my brothers eyes opening again. Next thing I saw was that stupid 'you died' sign.

A giant wheel about the size of a Ferris wheel appeared. I didn't know how they expected the wheel to spin, but when I tried spinning, I was surprised that it actually started moving. It spun around for like ten seconds before finally landing

I figured that these three categories would be the hardest to level up normally. If this System is similar to real life video games that I've played then str, vit, dex, and int can all be upgraded with either exercise or reading. As far as I knew in real life there isn't a way to make yourself luckier or have people like you more or make you wiser so I went with those. I also noticed that when I put 5 points into my WIS, my control went up by 2%. Which means the more WIS I have, the less chakra I'll waste.

There were more options but they were grayed out. I decided to go with eidetic memory, prodigy and I picked an elemental affinity. I figured not only will I not forget future knowledge now, I could eventually try to learn skills from other shows and movies from my past life. Prodigy game me 200% more exp in learning things. As for my affinity, i Picked lightning. Its the coolest element ever anyway, and i was thinking, i could potentially create a faux speed force. It wasn't like the idea was completely out of the question with people like the Raikage in this world. Plus, it seemed like eventually i could gain more perk points anyway.

The world around me shifted until I found myself standing in a room with a dresser a futon and a mirror. It wasn't the best but it was a lot better than where I used to live. I went to the mirror to check out my look. I had black hair with violet eyes. I had caramel skin and I was kind of skinny a sign of not eating a lot.
There was a knock and the door opened. A woman around the age of 30 wearing a cleaning apron and a bandana. As I looked at her, a screen popped up

So I guess that in this world I'm an orphan again. That'll make my plans for the future easier, because I'll get my own apartment when I join the academy.
"Shirou!" Miko yelled in my ear startling me out of my thoughts, "You're going to be late on your first day of the academy, hurry up and leave"
"Yes Matron" I said as I sprinted out of the orphanage it was a good thing I have a Mimi map or else I would be completely lost
When I got to the classroom I sat down in an open desk by the window and started planning my training. I first needed to unlock my chakra. Then I could use the leaf exercise to level up my control. Also with some push-ups and sit ups, my strength would. After class today, I could go check out the library, which would boost up my INT. And vit could increase with some running.
As i finished up my planning someone came running through the door
"I made it just in time!" Said the boy. He had a white shirt on and some orange shorts. He had spiky yellow hair and big blue eyes. There were three distinct whisker markets on either cheek.
Bonk was the noise that was heard as the teachers fist slammed into his head.
"No you didn't Naruto" said the teacher, "now go sit down in that empty seat next to the kid with the purple eyes."
Rubbing his head, Naruto walked to the seat next to me and plopped down right next to me
"Hey my name is Naruto and I'm gonna be the homage one day! What's your name?" He asked me with a huge grin on his face
"My name is Shirou and I'm gonna be the strongest ninja ever" I replied returning his grin. It was the start of a beautiful friendship.
Authors note: hey everyone I'm back with another story. I live in New York and with all this corona virus stuff going on, I figured there was no excuse for me not to pick up writing again. I've been wanting to make a gamer story for a while now and it's harder than it looks so bear with me. I'll be making this story longer than the last one. I can't promise you guys that I'll complete it but im going to try. Please review, it helps better my writing and thanks
