I've decided to post short stories that were written by my friend that I commissioned with his approval. He's known as Zexo87 here and Zexoguy on Deviantart where these stories can also be found. I gave him the basic outline of each the stories and he put it all into writing.

He wrote these first two entries and I might add some that I write myself some time. They're part of timeline taking place after the events of the show that also includes my separate stories, Wash Away and Unburden. This one is after Dipper and Mabel's second summer in town and has mentions of my OCs. Check out their profiles on my Deviantart account.

It was the first day of September. Another summer in Gravity Falls had come to an end. Another summer filled with excitement, adventure, mystery, and even romance. For it was during this particular summer that the two thirteen-year-olds Dipper Pines and Pacifica Northwest had realized their true feelings for each other and become an official couple, much to the joy of their friends and family members. Well, Dipper's family, anyway.

It was also over this summer when Pacifica's parents had been sent to prison and she had been forced into foster care. However, it turned out that this had actually been very good for her because she was quickly adopted by the Dunbars, a very kind family consisting of Mike and Sam Dunbar, her new father and mother, and their son Caleb, her new little brother. It had certainly been an adjustment, especially considering the kind of rich high-society life she had grown accustomed to, but nonetheless, Pacifica had grown to love her new family with all her heart.

Sadly, all summers must come to an end eventually. On the last day of August, everyone had come together to celebrate the Pines twins' 14th birthday and to say their goodbyes. Dipper and Mabel had left town that very same day to return home and prepare for their first year of high school. Naturally, it was always a shame for everyone to have to watch their two good friends leave town for another year, but for Pacifica, it had been even harder.

The young former heiress's head was filled with concerns about her fairly recent relationship with Dipper. Since he and his sister would have to be away in California for most of the year and could only visit Gravity Falls during the summer, it was clear that their relationship would have to be mostly long distance for the time being. She wondered if they were really strong enough to maintain such a relationship until they could be together in person again. She decided to stop by the Mystery Shack and talk to her best friend in the whole world: Wendy Corduroy.

Over the last summer, Pacifica and Wendy had grown very close as friends, even to the point where they practically saw each other as sisters. If there was anyone that Pacifica knew she could talk to about her worries, it was Wendy. She walked into the gift shop and found the redheaded teen in her usual spot. Sitting behind the front counter and texting on her phone. When she heard the bell ring, she looked up and saw her friend walking through the door.

"Yo, Paz! How's it going, girl?" Wendy greeted her.

"Hi, Wendy. Do you have a minute?" asked Pacifica.

"Totally, dude. I was just texting Sadie, but I can totally talk." Wendy put down her phone, taking a break from texting her girlfriend, and gave Pacifica her full attention. "So, what's on your mind?"

"Well, it's just that... seeing Dipper and Mabel leave yesterday got me thinking," Pacifica began. "It made me realize that Dipper and I won't be able to see each other in person very often since he and Mabel will be going to school in California most of the year. What if our relationship isn't strong enough to handle the distance? What if we drift apart? What if he meets another girl back home that he likes more than me and decides to break up with me?! What if...!?"

"Whoa, whoa! Easy there, dude!" Wendy could clearly see that Pacifica was starting to spiral and tried to calm her down. "You're starting to have a Dipper-level freakout here."

Pacifica took a deep breath and regained her composure. It seemed like her new boyfriend's behavior really had rubbed off on her quite a bit. "Okay. I think it's time for some roof time," Wendy suggested. She led her friend up the ladder to the roof where the lawn chairs and cooler were set up. The fresh air of the gentle breeze helped soothe the young blonde's nerves. "Better?" Wendy asked.

"Yeah. Thanks," Pacifica answered.

"Good. Now let me ask you something, Paz. Do you care about Dipper?"

"Of course I do. He means everything to me."

"Do you think he cares about you?"

"Yes. I know he does."

"Then you've got nothing to worry about. Look, ever since you two met, your life has gotten so much better, hasn't it?"

"Absolutely."

"I've seen how you guys are together and let me tell you, I have total confidence that if anyone can survive a long distance relationship, it's you and Dipper. And you don't even have to do it alone. You've got all your friends and family, including me, to help you get through it."

This got Pacifica to smile up at her friend. "Trust me. If you and Dipper really care about each other, then the long waits for when you two can be together in person will be totally worth it."

Wendy's words made Pacifica feel a lot better. So much so that she gave the teen redhead a big hug out of gratitude. "Thanks, Wendy. You're the best," she said.

"You're welcome, dude," said Wendy, returning the hug. "And don't worry. There's no way Dipper's gonna end up falling for some other girl. You're way too much of a catch and he knows it." She gave a wink, which made Pacifica laugh.

"Yeah, you're right. I am," Pacifica agreed, her usual confidence returning.

Just then, Pacifica's phone rang, showing that it was none other than her boyfriend Dipper calling on video chat. She immediately answered. "Dipper!" she greeted him excitedly.

"Hey, Pacifica!" he greeted back. "I know it's only been a day since we last spoke, but, well... I just really missed you already."

"Aww! I missed you, too."

Wendy backed away a little to try and give the young couple some privacy. Then, suddenly, she got a phone call of her own. It was Pacifica's adoptive mom Sam Dunbar. "Hi, Mrs. Dunbar," she answered. After the woman on the phone explained her situation, Wendy happily agreed. "Sure. I'd love to... Okay. See you tonight. Bye." Wendy hung up and then waited for Pacifica and Dipper to finish their call. After a few minutes, their conversation ended and Pacifica hung up, turning back to her friend.

"Good talk?" Wendy asked coyly.

"Yep," Pacifica responded.

"See? What'd I tell ya? Nothing to worry about."

"You're right, Wendy. I think we might just be able to make the long distance work after all."

"Great to hear. By the way, your mom just called. She and your dad have some work to do this afternoon, so she asked me to look after you and Caleb. You wanna join me and Sadie for a fun afternoon on the town? We could get pizza, maybe see a movie."

"That sounds great," Pacifica agreed happily. "I've been meaning to spend some more time bonding with Caleb. Seeing Dipper and Mabel together really makes me wanna be a good big sister to him."

"Cool. But I wouldn't worry about that. I know you're gonna make an awesome big sister."

"Thanks, Wendy."

With that, the two friends climbed off the roof and reentered the shack. Wendy sent the text to her girlfriend Sadie, telling her about their plans for the afternoon, which she agreed to. And thanks to her friend, Pacifica felt a great deal of comfort and confidence, knowing that no matter how long she and Dipper had to be apart, she'd be able to see it through with the help of her friends and family. And that it would all be worth it when they finally got to embrace each other again.
