Welcome back to City of Angels and Demons. Last time, after a quick pep talk from Hondo, Spyro is back in the game after losing Christina Summer to her kidnappers. Meanwhile, Hicks has managed to uncover the four other disappearances mentioned in the evidence, and is checking them for anything that'll lead them to the suspects behind this. Meanwhile, Chris and Tan have traced the van to an old bakery. The two of them, alongside Hondo, Spyro, and Cynder head out to search the place, not sure of what to expect. So, what is there to be found? Read on to discover...

(Our scene resumes at the bakery where the kidnapper's van was registered to. And the team is not taking any chances with this one. They're in full SWAT gear, prepared to siege the place, ready just in case somebody's there. The quintet approaches from the one side of the bakery that has no windows. With a few hand signs, the group moves in prepared to enter the scene. However, something appears to be wrong, as before they can even poke around the corner, somebody inside the bakery, a man in a black suit to be specific, has opened fire on them, forcing the quintet to retreat back around the corner)

Tan: How'd they know we were coming?!

Hondo: I have no idea, but we need to adapt for it!

Spyro: (Letting streams of fire escape from the sides of his mouth) Way ahead of you, Hondo.

Hondo: You two go around front then, the three of us will cover the rear.

Cynder: You got it.

(So the group splits up as planned, using Cynder's Shadow abilities to cover themselves long enough for Spyro to use his flames to heat up the attackers' guns, forcing them, all men in black suits, to drop them as the two dragons leap out of the shadows and start fighting hand to hand. But just as the last of them appear down, one more comes down from upstairs, but before he can shoot at the dragons, Chris fires a shot into his head, taking the shooter out and clearing the scene)

Chris: That's this room cleared.

(As Chris says that, Hondo and Tan sneak in behind her and check the upstairs of the bakery)

Tan: Clear!

Hondo: Clear. That's the last of them.

Spyro: (Looking around at their attackers) Not exactly dressed for battle, are they?

Cynder: Never seen anyone in black suits go to battle. (Thinks about it) Wait, could this be...?

Spyro: I know that look in your eyes, Cynder. You've got an idea.

Cynder: A hunch really. Christina said she was being chased by "the men in suits." But she got kidnapped and killed before she could explain what that meant. How much do you want to bet, we just figured out what she meant?

Tan: So you think these are the people who were holding her?

Cynder: It's the best lead we've gotten yet. This place's van was used in her abduction, and now a bunch of guys matching that very same description are found defending the place? It's a pretty strange coincidence if it is one. And I doubt it is.

Spyro: There must be a link to them somewhere then.

Hondo: Alright then, everybody split up. Let's see what we can find.

(With that, the group splits up to try and find anything they can, and after a few minutes of futile searching, Cynder signals with a whistle)

Cynder: Hey everybody! I think I found something!

(Responding to Cynder's signal, the quintet merges on the back office, revealing Cynder's uncovered a series of documents.)

Cynder: If this is what I think it is, we've just uncovered one of the biggest secrets we've seen since coming to Los Angeles.

(But before we can get a look at what Cynder's found, our scene ends for today)

And that looks like a good bit of a cliffhanger to end off on for now. It looks like we're about to blow this popsicle stand wide open. But what exactly is going on here? There's so many unanswered questions, but pretty soon, we will be answering them. What dreadful secret is this bakery hiding? Are these really the "men in suits" that Christina Summer was talking about? I've got all the answers, but you'll have to tune in next time to find out what's going on. Same time... same channel!
