Last time on Poké Rangers Dino Charge…
The violet energy crystal was activated, leaving the rangers to find it in Sunyshore City. However, it looks like Ferro Fett sent past villains to find it. Luckily, they run into Jo Holiday, a scientist who works with Drake and Professor Rowan to find the crystals. However, they get interrupted by the three past monsters. When things got tough and their weapons were fossilized, Aurorus appears mysteriously and saves the rangers from their trouble. Only to be taken away by Lionel, Leona is also captured. Will the rangers be able to save Leona and Aurorus from Lionel, Ferro Fett and Gircannon? Find out now!
"MOVE!"
Lionel's orders to Leona were forceful as she was dragged to the corridor of Ferro Fett's ship. As she was dragged, she turned around as the Mooks were aiming their weapons on her. Her Pokémon, Fossil Blaster and anything that was used for help were stored in a little box with one of the Mooks. She turned around as she looked at Lionel. Lionel laughed as he looked at her, "You thought you could kill me."
"I didn't want to… I should've when I had the chance," said Leona.
"Oh come on, baby sis… at least you get to see me. We're family, right?" asked Lionel.
"Oh yeah, family," Leona said, sarcastically. As she went in, Lionel grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her against the wall, "Listen, you. I am not going to sit here and watch you play games. I am going to make sure that no one of my family is left."
"You can't erase what's in people's memories, Lionel," said Leona, "And unfortunately, I don't have any memories except for that song. So, sorry… but killing me will serve no help to you."
Lionel turned around as he grabbed the Red Energy Crystal from her neck. He looked at it as he turned to her, "At least, I can control Tyrantrum when your gone."
As the doors opened to the bridge, Ferro Fett looked over as Gircannon was there. He grinned as he looked at Leona. The villains were grinning as Leona looked at him. Gircannon laughed as he looked at them, "Well, brother and sister reunion! This is awesome."
He turned around as he looked at the red energy crystal, "Do you know how long its been since I've been looking for this crystal? The fact that Drake gave them to you was a big mistake."
"I don't think it was a mistake. No offense Gircannon, but obviously your employee can't even stop us," said Leona, raising an eyebrow.
"I know," said Gircannon, "That's why the past couple of plots were from me. I sent monsters down that you couldn't defeat. You had to get help from outside sources. You couldn't even stop them. But, now with Aurorus under our control, it's perfect."
"It's not just a zord!" Leona said, "You are going to need that crystal."
Gircannon nodded, "I know. But, with it being weak… we can learn so much."
"So much?" asked Leona, "What do you mean?"
Gircannon laughed as he looked at her. Leona turned around as the Mooks threw her to a chair. Gircannon turned around as he walked toward Turnchou. Turnchou nodded as he analyzed the zord, "Even without the crystal, we can still learn more about its whereabouts… and possibly the other zords. They can't fight without them. After all, they are Pokémon."
"You can't do this!" shouted Leona, "You would kill innocent Pokémon that fought along side us just for your own crystal raid?"
Gircannon raised his hands as a red aura surrounded him. His face began to turn more demonic as he opened his mouth. Taking a breath, he screamed, "I PLAN ON DESTROYING THIS WORLD AND EVERYONE WILL BOW TO ME!"
His voice was so powerful, Leona held on by the powerful waves. The bridge console behind her exploded as Gircannon took a deep breath. He turned to Ferro Fett as he looked at the bridge. Snapping his fingers, the bridge opened as Sinitis and Icewolf emerged, familiar faces that were destroyed. Leona stood there in surprise as they were resurrected.
"You may have stopped Metagar, but I was able to recover these two," said Gircannon, looking at the two villains, "Finish the job, find the crystal!"

Chapter 24: Gircannon's Assault
Back in Jo's base down off the coast of Sunyshore City, the rangers were sitting together for a few minutes after hearing the raging message from Lionel about surrendering the Energy Crystals. As Jo looked down, mortified, she turned around as she was hemming and hawing, looking for solutions that could help the team. But, she also had a mission in hand. Joe placed his hands on the table as he looked at the team, "Look, guys. We can worry about Leona and figure out the plan. Right now, we should probably search for the Violet Energy Crystal."
"The question is where…," said Kyland, turning to Joe. Grayson shook his head as he looked at the Fossil Tracer, "Well, seeing Aurorus erupted east of the coast, it would make sense that the fossil would be somewhere along the Sunyshore Coast…"
Lisa turned around as she looked at the map closer that was on display. She scanned it as she noticed the red blip by a body of water, "You mean Route 223?"
"It has to be there," said Grayson, looking at it.
"Even so… that place is super dangerous unless you have eight badges," said Atticus, looking at Kyland. Kyland nodded in agreement, "Yeah, Route 223 is a tough route. Not also will we be finding the fossil, but strong Pokémon live there too."
"Even so," said Mack, looking at Kyland, "We can't afford to take the risk. We need to do whatever is necessary to find the crystal and then come together to free Leona."
"Right," said Joe, "So, let's all work together."
Immediately, the seven rangers started splitting into teams. As they were walking and working together, Joe looked over as Jo was standing, staring at the glass. She couldn't believe that her calculations and everything that happened would go up in smoke. She looked down as she took a deep breath. Joe walked over as he placed his hand on her shoulder. She shrugged it away. Joe turned around as he looked at the map, "You know, being mopey isn't going to solve it."
"I wasn't expecting this to be such a daunting task," said Jo, looking at Joe. Joe shook his head, "When you are with us, fighting monsters like this, it gets a little tough. Sometimes, you need to just bite the bullet and get through it. If you can defeat Mooks like you did earlier, you can help us save Leona."
"I just didn't expect all of this," Jo replied, turning to Joe. Joe went to speak as Jo shook her head, Joe grabbed her lightly by the elbow as she turned around, "I'm more thankful that you helped us. Without you, how could we have beaten the enemies that you witnessed. It takes guts to fight, but your brains really helped us when things got rough. You helped Roark, Professor Rowan, Drake and now us. At least let us help each other."
Jo chuckled as she turned to Joe, 'You know, for someone who's such a ladies man, you really do have a heart."
Joe grinned as he looked at the glass window, "Just don't tell anyone. I hate being vulnerable."
Jo placed her hand on his shoulder, "But, that's what makes you unique."
Jo and Joe turned around as they headed back toward the lab, to help deepen the search to find what they needed.
Sunyshore Coast…
The winds were picking up a little due to the coastal wind that was coming through as Icewolf and Sinustis arrived. As they were walking toward the border of the city, Shockhound turned around as he grabbed him by the neck. Sinustis was choking a little as Shockhound's eyes narrowed with anger.
"So, do you have a plan, old dead one?"
"I do… if you would wait," he said, looking at Shockhound. Creamelia and Maracturne were walking forward trying to get Shockhound away, but Shockhound continued to snarl, pushing them aside as he looked at his foe. Turning around, he noticed Turnchou who was sitting there in surprise.
"Leave him alone!" said Turnchou, looking at Shockhound, "What's your problem?"
"Metagar pretty much took a hike and I don't want anymore mistakes," Shockhound stated with anger, "How can I tell that these revived monsters can do the job?"
The villains stood there silently as Shockhound released Sinustis. He turned around toward Maracturne, stretching his hand out. Maracturne looked at him as he backed away, "What do you want?"
Shockhound pointed to his wrist as he looked at him, "Where's my new device you were supposed to make?"
"Oh… you mean what I have?" asked Maracturne, looking at his dark emerald smartwatch, "That's still being made. Why?"
"In that case…," said Shockhound, walking over. Maractune screamed as Shockhound grabbed his watch, pressing a few buttons. In a flash of green light, a greenish tablet appeared on the sand. Grabbing it, he looked at Maracturne, "I'll need the Magna Beam eventually."
He turned around as he walked away with Sinustis and Icewolf. Maracturne crossed his arms as he looked at him, "What an annoyance!"
"He's really pushing it….," said Creamelia, turning toward Turnchou. Turnchou shook his head as he folded his arms across his chest, "Well, when Gircannon and Ferro Fett are on your back for not completing these missions thanks to the rangers, you can feel the pain coming from it."
"He never thinks through anyway," said Maracturne, waving his finger, "That's how the gold ranger killed him last time. He was lucky we put him back together."
Meanwhile…
Joe was sitting by Jo's desk in her base, going through her laptop. As he was looking on the screen, he was looking at the Aurorus Zord himself. He was shaking his head as he was going through the diagrams. As he was looking at the blueprints, Joe couldn't believe it. He noticed different blueprints of a mega designed robot of some kind. He was still in shock as he went through it. As he looked up, he noticed Jo walking toward him. Joe stood up as she went to fold her arms across her chest with her left foot in front.
"I thought you were helping," said Jo.
"I was," said Joe, looking at Jo, "I can see why you are a target now."
"Unfortunately, those secrets can't be revealed yet," said Jo, "If you are looking at the blueprints. I need that crystal to do it."
Joe turned around as he looked at her, "You might as well forget that. We are going to have to work extra hard if you want the zord back. Well, we all have to work hard to get it."
As he went to walk away, Jo turned around as she pulled him by the arm, "So, what do you know? I was going to disclose it once I found it."
Joe turned around as he looked at her, "Isn't it obvious? The reason why Aurorus was taken? Seriously? It's a super weapon. Gircannon pretty much is going to turn that zord into the next super weapon, just like what happened to Aerodactyl."
"Well, I was hoping I would find it before he took it," said Jo, looking at the black ranger. Joe turned around as he looked at Jo, "That would be optimistic but if you think about it, you can't underestimate both of them. If Gircannon knew about Aurorus and its secret weapon, it's only a matter of time until he modifies Aurorus to do his dirty work. If he uses Leona's energy crystal to do it, it will have twice the power."
"Well… you mean like…" asked Jo, "What Dracozolt did to Omastar and Rampardos a while ago?"
"Correct. Except this time, it will be Tyrantrum… and you know how powerful Tyrantrum is from what you've built," said Joe, looking at Jo. Jo sighed as she turned to her laptop, "Well, you have a point. I should've told you all from the beginning about Aurorus and its power."
"Don't blame yourself," a voice said. Joe and Jo turned around as Drake walked down the stairs. Drake landed on the floor as he walked across the platform, "In a way, keeping secrets from the rangers until you find the crystal was important. After all, the fun part about doing what you do is create awesome weapons to help our team. Joe does have a point though, Gircannon probably knows the blueprints to our secret weapon."
"Well, we should probably hurry," said Jo, turning to Drake. Joe nodded as he sat down to work with her on finding the crystal. Drake experienced worry as he looked at what was going on. Gircannon and Ferro Fett pretty much got the trump card. It was only a matter of time until both learnt to use it.
Ferro Fett's Ship…
The dark corridors of the brig were exposed with blue lights. Down the hallway, sounds of past commandeering monsters were snarling, looking around as they noticed a cell separated by the rest. Immediately, they knew it was Leona. Leona was sitting in the cell by herself as she was looking down at the floor. She knew it was cold… too cold. Looking up, she managed to look at what was going on across the hall. When the Mooks threw her into the brig, they were doing as they were told, but forgot to put her in a place away from the lab. As Leona stood up from the cold floor, she walked over as she saw some red and green lights. Looking over, she was watching what was going on. A few Mooks were walking around, creating a grey and silver device with green and red lights. It was some sort of weapon that they were building, looking into it, she turned as she heard voices.
"Hey!"
Leona quickly scuffled to the floor. Ferro Fett walked past her, heading toward the lab, "Where is that modification to be used? Gircannon needs it snappy to use against Sinnoh."
Leona turned around as she reached for her pockets. Annoyed, she knew her Fossil Blaster and Energy Crystal were taken. She turned around as she noticed her red Dino Com that was on the floor in the hall, next to the cell. Ferro Fett must've picked it up when it was confiscated, and it must've fallen out somewhere. She quickly crawled toward the cell and reached her hand toward it. As she looked over, her fingers reached the red strap. As she grabbed it, she reached for the Dino Com and brought it in with her. Grinning, she turned around as she wrapped the Dino Com around her left wrist. Pressing a few buttons, she noticed that the signal was busted. Teleporting out wasn't an option. But, using the Find Me app that was installed was perfect. As she pressed the red button, she looked over as she turned to Ferro Fett, who was walking past her. Shaking his head, he looked at her as he stopped in his tracks. He turned around as he looked at her, "What are you looking at?"
"Simple. Your ugly face," said Leona.
Ferro Fett went to open the cell, only to hear the intercom system go off.
"Ferro Fett, I need you on the bridge!"
The sound of Gircannon's voice echoed. He turned to Leona and pointed to her, "I can't wait to kill the princess that should've died years ago…."
As he walked away, heading toward the bridge, Leona turned around as she went to start her message. Speaking in a quiet tone, she went to start, "Rangers, if you can hear me… I'm located in Ferro Fett's Ship. It looks like Aurorus is going to be modified as a major weapon. You need to target this ship and destroy it. I don't know if I can find my way out… but you need to destroy it. It's not a suggestion, it's an order."
Jo's Base…
Atticus, Grayson and Lisa arrived as they were heading toward Jo. Joe turned around as he noticed the three of them had their heads shaking. As Joe turned around, he looked at the green sludge that was on their shoes, "Yo, where did you go… Pastoria Swamp?"
"I could say the same thing with you," said Atticus, pointing to the shoes, "We couldn't find anything."
"Where could it be?" asked Jo, "If it is not at the Sunyshore Coast and it's not in the city…"
"It would have to be north of the city as we predicted," said Joe, turning to the others.
"That is where Kyland, Mack and Thomas went when they were trying to find their research," said Grayson.
Joe slowly nodded as he turned to Drake. Drake nodded as he looked at them, "Well, it is our only option."
Looking all over the place, the alarms began to go off in the base. Jo turned around as she went to her laptop. The rangers walked over as they were noticing Sinustis and Shockhound blowing up parts of Lake Valor Dam.
"This is bad!" said Jo, looking at the others.
"No… this has to be a trap," said Joe, turning to Jo.
"What do you mean?" asked Jo.
Grayson nodded slowly as he understood Joe's point of view, "Lake Valor Dam connects Lake Valor and generates power from Veilstone to Sunyshore besides solar-powered panneling. The dam is huge where they could break it and flood all Western Sinnoh. But… to lead us out of Sunyshore to go to Lake Valor is a trap."
"Yeah, but Sinustis doesn't have the power to destroy… infect," said Lisa, turning to the computer, "Unless they are going to breach the control room and infect the water supply."
Atticus turned around as he looked at the others, "We better get going."
"Keep your Dino Coms nearby," said Jo, "I would rather make sure you get out alive and back here than going to get killed over there."
Joe nodded as he turned to the others. The other rangers started heading up the stairs and out the door. Drake turned around as Jo sighed. Jo turned around as she noticed a red blip. She turned around as she went to look at it, "No way… Drake, you've got to see this!"
Valor Dam…
The Lake Valor Dam, a dam which collects water for energy as well as helping with Sinnoh's water supply was somewhat in smoke as Shockhound and Sinustis walked in. Shockhound slashed hallways and corridors as he walked inside. The Mooks turned around as they caused an invasion. Walking toward a group of Luxray, the Mooks headed straight toward them as the Luxray jumped up, releasing a Thunder attack. Sinustis turned around and released green spikes, hitting them. The Luxray began to feel weak as they landed on the ground.
"Pokémon Security? Please," he said, turning to see the control room. As he opened the door, he turned around as they walked in. Turning back, Sinustis hit the jackpot. There were 20 clear glass pipes of water that were flowing. He turned around as he looked at Shockhound. Shockhound grinned, "The rangers can deal with this while we find the crystal. Do it!"
Sinustis nodded as he went to fight. He turned around as he heard footsteps. He laughed as Joe, Atticus, Grayson and Lisa showed. Sinustis stretched his hands out, "Why hello, rangers. You missed me that much?"
"Cut the crap," said Lisa, stepping forward, "We have a mission right now, but everyone's lives are more important right now."
"Well," said Shockhound, turning to him, "I am not going to sit here and let you stop us. Mooks!"
Immediately, the Mooks emerged from the ceiling, crashing through the debris as they landed on the ground. Joe and the others took out their Fossil Blasters, "Rangers, Let's Poké Battle!"
"Fossil Charger, Energize!"
Pressing the buttons on the Fossil Chargers, the rangers did a little dance, spinning around as they had their Fossil Blasters in hand. Opening them, the rangers placed their Fossil Chargers in the Fossil Blasters.
Armaldo Charger, Energize!
Carracosta Charger, Energize!
Kabutops Charger, Energize!
Bastiodon Charger, Energize!
The rangers spun the blasters. A golden aura surrounded each blaster as they struck their blasters in the air, "Unleash the Power!"
Pulling the trigger, the Prehistoric Pokémon were unleashed as they landed on the rangers. A white glow surrounded them as their suits arrived. No sooner they had their uniforms, the Mooks headed straight toward the rangers. Joe jumped over as he went to use his Fossil Blaster, shooting the Mooks down. He turned around as he began to shoot more. Next, Grayson was using his Fossil Saber, slashing a few that were in his area. He turned around as he continued.
Behind him, Atticus went to shoot them down his blaster and slash the other Mooks that were near him. He turned around as he noticed Sinustis heading toward one of the pipes. He quickly grabbed his Carracosta Charger and pressed it. Placing it in his blaster, he spun it as a blue aura surrounded it. Pulling the trigger, a Carracosta started to head straight toward Sinustis. Quickly, Shockhound used his saber to block it. An electric current struck Atticus as he landed on the ground. Lisa turned around as she shot the rest of the Mooks. Turning around, Lisa headed toward Sinustis as she went to shoot. Shockhound went to release an electric bolt, only for Atticus to shoot him down. Shockhound flinched as Atticus slashed him with the saber. As Shockhound landed on the ground, a green aura surrounded Sinustis as he disappeared into the water current.
"Sinustis!" shouted Lisa, "Great… now we got to find an antidote!"
"Hahahahahahaha," shouted Shockhound, laughing as he looked at the Mooks, 'Do you honestly think that Sinustis was going to infect? He'll be back shortly."
"Then where did he go?" asked Joe, aiming his weapon.
"… Well, your shoes when we fought you earlier had some residue at the coast… I am sure they were quite muddy," said Shockhound, grinning.
"Wait…," said Atticus, "Now, thinking about it, our shoes weren't normal mud. It was bacterial wasn't it?"
"Bingo… and you should know that Sinustis can trace any bacteria in water… even in places underwater…," Shockhound replied, "That woman that helped you earlier… she has it on hers too. It wouldn't be surprising if… maybe she was involved with helping you?"
Joe said nothing as Shockhound laughed. Shockhound laughed hard enough where he walked to Joe and pushed him aside, "You see… this is all going according to plan and you rangers fell for it, this time."
Atticus reached for his Dino Com, "Jo, come in!"
Before a response was given, Shockhound released an electric pulse, knocking Atticus to the ground. Atticus carefully got up as he looked at him. As he tried again, Shockhound went to strike. This time, only for Atticus to shoot Shockhound down. Shockhound yelled as he landed on the ground.
"Jo, come in please!" said Atticus.
Back at Jo's Base…
"You found it?" asked Jo, looking at Drake. Mack nodded as he turned to Thomas and Kyland. Kyland grinned as he stretched out the Sail Fossil. It was already cracked with the crystal intact. Drake nodded as he looked at it, "Interesting how Aurorus could emerge without its crystal. It broke through the fossil."
"Interesting," said Jo, looking at them, "And where was it?"
"Literally… the waterfall behind the Pokémon League entrance," said Thomas, laughing, "It took us hours, but we found it with the Fossil Tracer. How are the others?"
"Fighting Shockhound right now," said Jo, turning to Mack, "Plus we found Leona. She's given a precise location and it looks like Joe was right about Aurorus being used as a super weapon.
Mack turned around as he looked at her, "Shockhound?"
Kyland turned around as he looked at Jo with a surprise, "Weapon?"
Thomas turned around as he had a gut feeling. A blue aura surrounded him as he looked at the ground. He noticed something green as he began to analyze, "This is a pool of sludge… how long has this been here?"
"Well, I mean we have been walking back and forth on the beach. We didn't get a chance to clean it up, I guess. Why?' asked Jo.
"This isn't sludge… or mud… it's bacteria," said Thomas, turning over to hear Jo's laptop go off. Jo turned around as she walked over to her laptop, "Atticus, I've got good news!"
"Great… well, guess what? You and the others need to evacuate! That bacteria is traces of Sinustis's body. He went through a rip current in the dam as a diversion. He's heading your way. You need to pack up whatever you got and ship it to Dino Paradise. NOW!"
As he hung up, the three rangers nodded as Jo turned around, "Kyland, pack up the weapons. Thomas, pack up the chargers. Mack, I need you to do something for me."
Kyland and Thomas went to quickly pack up everything, finding whatever they could to store them. While that was going on, Jo lead Mack to a secret corridor. At the end of the corridor, there was a purple and silver door. Pressing the button, she opened the door as Mack walked in. Mack stood in surprise as he saw the computer server that was connected to a few lines.
"What are we going to do?" asked Mack.
"Simple. I am transferring all of my work to Drake's hideout. I need your Fossil Charger," said Jo, "I don't have a fossil charger, otherwise I would do it myself."
"Right," said Mack, grabbing his Fossil Charger, "Fossil Charger, energize!"
Pressing the button, golden energy surrounded the charger. Looking over, Jo noticed a silver and black device on the floor. Kneeling down, she pressed a green button. The device rose as a black tower appeared with a charger insert. As Mack pushed the charger in, blue and green lights were glowing. Immediately, a screen appeared as Jo began to see it.
"Main Computer, transfer all data from server to Dino Paradise," said Jo.
Working…
As the computer started booting and transferring, she turned around as she looked at the computer, "Main Computer, how long will it take to transfer?"
It will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the process.
Jo nodded as she turned to Mack, "That's more than enough time."
Mack turned around as he looked at Jo, "For what?"
Jo grinned as she turned around, looking at him, "Main Computer, Security Breach Level 5. Commence Self-Destruct Sequence."
Mack turned around as he looked at Jo, "What does that do?"
The computer started running as he turned to Jo. Waiting for an answer, the computer began to stop as it went to speak.
Set desired time interval for self-destruct sequence. Warning, if you self-destruct during a transfer, you will lose all data from the base.
"Main Computer, set timer for five minutes! No audio warnings! Enable."
Transfer will be done in one minute! Self-destruct in five minutes. No audio warnings.
The tower began to shrink as the lights began to turn from blue and green to red and white. The Fossil Charger was ejected, landing in Mack's hands as Jo and Mack started heading toward the lab. As they turned around toward the lab, Kyland and Thomas were noticing the red lightshow as Jo went toward her laptop, transmitting the coordinates to Aerodactyl.
"What are you doing?" asked Kyland, "And what's with all of this red."
"I'm transferring data to Dino Paradise," said Jo, looking at Kyland and Thomas, "Transferring coordinates to the Aerodactyl Zord to save Leona and then we all need to leave!"
"What do you mean we all need to leave?" asked Kyland.
"Self-destruct?" asked Mack.
Kyland and Thomas looked at each other and then at Jo. Jo nodded as Kyland grabbed her by the lab coat, "I don't want to die! Have you lost your mind?"
"What's self-destruct?" asked Mack, a third time.
"Basically, Jo set a timer where this whole base will explode in a matter of minutes. It's used as a security precaution… granted, how long do we get?" asked Thomas.
"We have 4 minutes… there are no audio warnings," said Jo, looking at her screen. As she turned around, she saw the loading screen diminish. The coordinates were glowing into Aerodactyl as she turned to Mack, "Our next step will be to use Aerodactyl to get to Leona."
"Got it," said Mack.
Kyland turned around as he looked at his Dino Com, "Joe, come in…"
"I hope you're leaving!" shouted Joe.
"Well, we find the crystal but don't return to base. Jo activated a self-destruct sequence…"
Suddenly, a green aura surrounded the bacteria. The rangers turned around as the Mooks arrived with Sinustis, "Why hi!"
"I'm afraid you are a little late," said Jo, turning around.
"Hand over the fossil!" he shouted.
Jo grinned as she turned to him. She only had now three minutes and fifteen seconds to leave the lab. She turned to Kyland, Thomas and Mack as Mack turned to Jo, "Jo, Thomas and I will head up there. You need to get out of here!"
"No one leaves!" shouted Sinustis.
"Fine… then you are just going to have to fight us out," said Jo, closing her laptop and putting it in her backpack. The other three rangers nodded as they grabbed their morphers, "Fossil Charger, Energize! Unleash the Power!"
Within five seconds, the three rangers transformed into their suits. Jo started to head up the stairs, grabbing the Sail Fossil, only for Sinustis to appear. He grinned as he went to use his claw, "Take this!"
Jo dodged as she jumped up, kicking Sinustis in the face. She turned around as she went to tackle the Mooks. The Mooks turned around as they started running up the stairs.
"After her!" shouted Sinustis.
Immediately, Mack jumped up as he stretched his arms, creating a wingspan. Landing on the top stair, Mack used his Golden Amber Saber and stretched it out, releasing a golden wave of energy. As the Mooks were knocked down, Sinustis laughed as he released green sludge everywhere. Snapping his fingers, explosions appeared. As the explosions occurred, there was a crack in the glass that touched the ocean. Thomas and Kyland nodded as they hopped over. Immediately, the water started leaking through. The rangers started to leave as Jo went to follow. As Jo started running, she tripped and fell. The Sail Fossil began to fall out of her pocket. As she went to grab it, the Mooks went for it. She kicked each of them as she pulled the Sail Fossil from the Mooks hand. Sinustis turned around as he released green sludge toward her. Immediately, Thomas pulled the trigger with his Fossil Blaster shooting it down. Running down, he grabbed her by the arm and started running out the door. Sinustis turned around as the door closed behind them. Jo turned around as she pressed a red button, sealing the door. Sinustis and a few Mooks were banging on the door.
Quickly, the three rangers started to run out of the cave, heading toward the coast. As they all managed to get out, Jo looked at her watch. There were five seconds left. Quickly, the rangers took cover at a dune as a major explosion occurred on the other side of the cave, causing a little earthquake. Jo watched as debris flew out of the water, glass shards, etc. Mooks were flying out as Mack turned to see it. He stood in shock, surprised at what was going on. Kyland removed his helmet as he looked at Mack and Thomas. He needed to breathe, "That was way too close. But, all of your research!"
Jo grinned as she looked at him, "It's all in the computers at Dino Paradise, thanks to Roark. I knew what to do."
She reached into her pocket as she picked up the Sail Fossil, "We do have a mission though. Mack?"
Mack nodded as he released his Fossil Charger, "Aerodactyl, I choose you!"
Throwing it in the air, Aerodactyl arrived as it planted its feet on the ground. Roaring, Aerodactyl looked down as the four of them entered the cockpit. Jo appeared as she placed her laptop on the pedestal. Mack turned around as he looked at her, "What are you doing?"
"Implementing a cloaking device. Once they see you up in the air, Ferro Fett will shoot you down. So, we need to be strategic," said Jo. As she turned around, she noticed that the screen showed the cloaking device installed, "Ready."
"Aerodactyl, follow the coordinates!" shouted Mack.
Aerodactyl screamed as it took over, flying straight across toward the sky. Kyland and Thomas held on as they were landing on the ground. Jo hung on as the Aerodactyl was flying through the different atmospheres. Mack turned around as he looked at Jo, "Are you sure this will work?"
"It has to…," said Jo, looking at the laptop, "Alright, approaching the Ionosphere… activating the cloaking device!"
Pressing a few buttons, a purple aura surrounded Aerodactyl as it disappeared, floating in the atmosphere, heading toward deep space. As Aerodactyl broke out of the atmosphere, it floated to see a black and silver ship with a mega hull and purple nacelles. There were green lights that appeared all over the structure.
"That's Ferro Fett's ship?" asked Kyland.
"Wow…" said Thomas, "Interesting."
"It looks powerful," said Mack.
Jo nodded as she turned to the others, "That's why we're cloaked. Because of Leona's SOS, I was able to do a scan of the ship. It's highly powered and could use long range sensors once ships are out of the atmosphere."
"Interesting," said Mack, turning to Jo. Jo nodded as she turned to them, "So, next thing. I am going to teleport you securely to Leona."
"How are we going to do this?" asked Kyland, looking at Jo with confusion. Jo grinned as she looked at him, "Trust me."
Ten minutes later…
A couple of Mooks were walking along the main corridor of the ship, just patrolling around. There weren't any other additional orders. As one of the Mooks went over to the corridor, it felt something smack him in the back of neck. Squirming, the Mook landed on the ground. As the other three walked over to help, each of them was knocked out by secretive methods. Immediately, Jo walked over as she reached for her silver device. The device was titanium, and it had a black and green output like device. Pressing the button, she scanned each of them. As she scanned just the exterior, she pressed a red button as the device began to glow in a green and yellow aura. Kyland, Thomas and Jo began to materialize as they were now wearing Mook suits.
"What is this?" asked Kyland.
"Simple. I scanned their exterior and then I was able to extract that into a suit," said Jo, looking at Kyland, "Now, we can blend in."
"Great," said Thomas, "Where's Mack?"
Jo turned around as Mack was walking toward them, unmorphed with silver and black handcuffs.
"Let's keep it moving," Jo said, turning to the others. Jo grabbed Mack by the neck as she guided him down the corridor. Walking through the halls, they turned to their right, seeing another corridor. As they were heading up the stairs, Jo turned to her left as she noticed something glowing. Walking toward the glowing light, Thomas and Kyland walked forward as they noticed a violet light coming out. They stopped as they saw Aurorus in the docking bay. Aurorus was weakening by the power of lasers that were being done.
"What are they doing?" asked Kyland, looking over. He turned as he saw a grey scope that was on the other side of the room, being dragged over, "Now, I get it."
"They are going to put some targeting device into Aurorus…," said Thomas, looking at the others. Mack shook his head, "They are basically injuring a Pokémon, even though it's a zord to begin with."
"Well, we can't just sit here," said Jo, "Kyland, there is a way to get inside Aurorus using your Fossil Blaster. Once inside the cockpit…"
She reached behind as she took out a purple stick note that was in her lab pocket. Zipping up the suit, Kyland picked it up, "Use this code and it should override. But, it will be enough to escape. We can't do much until we fuse it with the Energy Crystal."
"Got it," said Kyland.
"We'll go save Leona…," said Jo, "Mack will be used as bait to go to jail, but we are just freeing Leona out of prison."
"How will we get out undetected?" asked Mack.
Jo raised an eyebrow, "I don't think we will… but, I did download a map of the ship while we were cloaked. If someone can get to the engine room, we can disable their armor."
Thomas grinned as he looked at them, "I'll handle the engine room."
"Great… let's do it!" said Jo.
Immediately, all four went their separate ways, heading to complete the task. Kyland headed in as he was walking toward the area. He looked up as he was acting like the other Mooks, not paying attention to detail. As he was helping, he scanned around as he was looking at the area. This place was huge for any warships that Ferro Fett wanted. As he was looking at the ship, he placed his hand on the wall, noticing the schematics on the wall. Kyland looked behind him as he went to unzip part of the costume, pulling out his phone. Taking photos of the blueprints, he placed the phone back as he continued to look around. This was a ship he wasn't expecting to see as he was walking around, looking at the blue and green lights.
"Soon, that Aurorus will be a part of our team… controlling it and using the zord will be useful to targeting Sinnoh," said Ferro Fett, "Then, grabbing the crystals will be a piece of cake."
Kyland turned around as he walked toward the device. Climbing up the stairs, he turned around to see Leona's energy crystal connected to the device. Looking at it, it was indeed a targeting scanner. As Kyland went to pick up the crystal, Ferro Fett turned around as he looked at Kyland, who was a Mook.
"You! Over there!"
Kyland said nothing as he pointed to himself.
"Yes! You! Activate the targeting system! I want to make sure it works before we implant it," said Ferro Fett.
Turnchou, who overheard this, turned around, "It's better if we have it in the zord, sir."
"Oh, shut it! I want to see it work!" said Ferro Fett, turning around. Turnchou shook his head as he walked toward the targeting system. Kyland stepped back as Turnchou turned around, "No offense, but I better handle it."
Kyland nodded his head as Turnchou pressed a few buttons. As he did, the red energy crystal started to glow…
Meanwhile…
Thomas landed on the ground as he walked toward the main corridor. Opening the door, he turned to see the engine room. The engine room was full of lights and colors as he walked toward the area. He noticed some Mooks were covering. Thomas turned around as he walked toward each system. As he looked at it, one of the Mooks turned to him. The Mook looked at Thomas, speculating about what he was doing.
"Hello, Ferro Fett asked me to work on the armor modifications. What station would that be?"
The Mook turned to the left as it pointed to the station, "There."
Thomas nodded as he walked toward the system. As he pressed a few buttons, he looked around as he grabbed a grey device from the back of his Mook costume. The Mooks were unaware of what was going on. Turning around, Thomas pressed a green button as all of the data from the screen went into the scanner. Once he got it, he closed the scanner. Turning around, he placed it in his suit, only to see a Mook look at him.
"Hold it… who are you?"
Thomas turned around as he looked at the Mook, "Working on things for Ferro Fett. Come on, I know he may like to thrash but I am sure you don't want to damage his engine while a prize is up there to use for your conquest. That wouldn't be right…"
"… then why is there a zipper on the side of your body?"
Thomas turned around as he looked, "I asked for a place to put my devices."
Immediately, another Mook appeared as it grabbed him by the head. Immediately, the helmet came off as Thomas was revealed. One of the Mooks screamed as it looked at him, "Intruder!"
Before the Mook could press the red button on the end, Thomas's eyes began to glow in a blue aura as he slammed his hand down, releasing some aura energy. The energy erupted as the Mooks flew up and landed on the ground. Being knocked out, Thomas grabbed his helmet and started running, placing it on his head.
Meanwhile…
There were other monsters slithering as Jo walked with Mack. Mack turned around as he walked down the corridor. As they heard some coughing, Jo turned to her left as she saw Leona on the ground. Leona looked up as she noticed the Mook with Mack.
"Mack! They got you too?" asked Leona, looking up to the Mook. Mack shook his head as he put his finger to his lips. Leona looked confused as she turned to see the Mook open the gate. As the gate opened, the Mook grabbed Leona and walked them out of the corridor.
"What is going on?" whispered Leona.
"Simple. Getting you out of here… but just play along," Mack responded.
"It's also important that you are silent," Jo responded, revealing her voice.
"Jo?" asked Leona, quietly.
"Just keeping moving," whispered Jo.
Leona nodded in response. Leona and Mack were escorted by her. Mack turned as they walked back toward the loading dock, where Aurorus was kept. Upon entering, they turned around, seeing Thomas. Thomas aimed one of the weapons at Leona. Leona, not knowing who this is, gulped as Leona kept walking down the stairs. Entering the room, Ferro Fett looked to see the device being channeled into the crystal. While that was going on, Jo knew that Kyland was being held up by Ferro Fett's orders. Luckily, nothing was caught. As Jo walked toward the ship with the others, Jo noticed a purple door on the back. Pressing the button, Jo reached into her pocket, grabbing the Fossil Blaster. Holding it, the scan took place as the door opened. It was loud, but the targeting scanner was overpowering.
Walking into the cockpit, Jo and Thomas immediately removed their Mook items to reveal themselves. Thomas took out his Fossil Saber and slashed the cuffs on both of them. Leona turned around as she looked at them, "I am so happy to see you guys…"
"We are just waiting on Kyland…" said Jo, can't turn anything on yet.
Suddenly, there was a mini explosion. The rangers looked up to see the console explode on the rafters where Turnchou and Kyland were. Turnchou looked at the Mook as he looked at the scanner, "This crystal was supposed to work with it… right?"
"I guess not…," said the Mook, "We are going to need to the others."
As Turnchou went to grab it, the Mook did. Turnchou turned around as he looked at him, "Where are you going?"
Ferro Fett looked up as he watched what was going on, "What are you doing?"
The Mook laughed as he slid on the railing. Jumping up, he grabbed a black hook that was dangling as he caught on to it. Picking up his Fossil Blaster, he placed the Omastar charger inside as he landed on top of Aurorus. Spinning it, an aqua blast shot out, destroying the targeting scanner. Ferro Fett stood in surprise as he turned around, "You are not a Mook!"
"Surprise!" said Kyland, removing the Mook suit, showing the red energy crystal, "I'll think I'll take this now… oh and before I forget… seeing that Turnchou took forever…"
"What do you mean?" asked Turnchou.
Kyland laughed as he looked at him, "I did a few things while you were working on the targeting scanner."
He turned around as he reached for his Dino Com, pressing an application, "Boom!"
Pressing the button, there was an electronic surge that occurred throughout the loading bay. Every Mook received some form of electrocution. Ferro Fett was trying to walk to defend it, but the electricity was too much to the bare. As Kyland got behind the Aurorus, he walked inside as he turned to the others.
"We made it," said Kyland.
"Flashy entrance…," said Thomas.
Jo turned around as she looked at the others. The rangers nodded as a violet aura surrounded Jo's pocket. Picking up the Sail Fossil, a violet aura surrounded the Aurorus Zord. Aurorus roared as the cockpit turned on. The rangers were amazed as they were looking at the screens.
"Alright," said Jo, standing in the middle, "Shall we make an explosive exit?"
"Yes," said Thomas.
Jo turned around as she looked at Aurorus, "Aurorus, Aurora Beam!"
Aurorus floated up from the base, turning around as it smacked the whole loading bay, destroying the wires and all. Releasing a rainbow beam, the exit erupted. Immediately, the cabin pressure accelerated as Mooks and devices were flying out. The lights turned red as Aurorus flew out of the ship.
"Mack, get into the Aerodactyl and disengage the cloak!" said Jo.
Mack nodded as he grabbed his Golden Amber Saber. A golden aura surrounded him as he teleported to the Aerodactyl Zord. As the Aerodactyl Zord flew with Aurorus, a blue beam struck out, trying to target them.
"Obviously they are on the run!" said Leona, turning to Jo.
"Yep… Thomas, shall we?" asked Jo.
Thomas grinned as he took out his device. He placed it in one of the cockpit stations that had his Fossil Blaster in, "Transmitting armor modulations…"
As that was going on, the Aerodactyl Zord released a Hyper Beam, piercing the armor. Ferro Fett's Ship released a ruby and dark energy beam, piercing Aerodactyl's wing. The wing had minor burns as it flew across. Mack turned around as he looked at the others, "Can we get this done? I don't think Aerodactyl was made for space!"
"The modulations are complete," said Thomas.
"Perfect. Let's send Ferro Fett and his cronies down!" said Leona.
"Aurorus, Thunder Wave!" shouted Jo.
Releasing yellow electric pulses, Ferro Fett's ship was surrounded by an electric wave of energy.
On the bridge, Maracturne and Cremelia were holding down as they were watching this, "How?"
Ferro Fett walked in as Gircannon turned to them, "Shoot them down!"
"Our weapons are down!" shouted Turnchou, looking at the zords. Gircannon turned around as he looked at Ferro Fett, "You should've anticipated this."
"Did you notice they were cloaked?" asked Ferro Fett.
Turnchou shook his head, "We do not have a device that can detect cloaking. We were supposed to get that AFTER our mission was done."
Ferro Fett shook his head, "That's right…"
BOOM!
The bridge exploded as a few Mooks landed on the ground. Lionel turned around as he noticed the explosions happening, "What in the world? I thought this ship was impenetrable."
"It was…," said Maracturne, turning to the others, "They are able to match their weapons with our armor mods."
Ferro Fett pushed Maracturne away, noticing the security cameras. As he looked at the security cameras, he turned to see a Mook download them on the screen. Ferro Fett turned to Maracturne, "A Mook did this?"
Gircannon pushed Ferro Fett away. A black aura surrounded the camera as the Mooks identity was revealed. Cremelia looked at it the camera in anger, "The Grey Ranger!"
"He obviously didn't come alone," said Gircannon.
BOOM!
Outside, Aurorus and Aerodactyl started shooting down Ferro Fett's Ship. Immediately, Mack turned around as he took Aerodactyl across, "I see there's a ship breach in the engine room."
"Do it!" shouted Jo.
"My pleasure… Wing Attack!"
Aerodactyl flew across, using its left wing. The wing pierced into the ship, destroying all of the wiring, engines and anything that lived on it. Flying across, the engine core exploded. As the engine core exploded, Ferro Fett's ship started to glitch. Purple and black lights were flashing as the Aerodactyl and Aurorus Zord started flying back to Earth. Back on the ship, wires were coming down and flames erupted. White lights flashed before them as the villains were hanging on.
"Gircannon, if you would've just let me do my job!" shouted Ferro Fett.
"Oh don't worry," said Gircannon, sitting down, "The fun is just beginning!"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" asked Ferro Fett.
Gircannon grinned as he reached over to his seat, pressing the silver button on the side, "Execute Order Shadow 64."
Meanwhile…
Sinitus released green and purple beams, shooting down at the rangers as they landed on the ground. Joe got up as carefully went to grab his orange Fossil Charger, "Relic Claws, Energize!"
Pressing the button, an orange glow surrounded his hands as the Relic Claws arrived. The Relic Claws began to energize through Joe as a purple aura surrounded him, heading straight toward Sinustis. Sinustis yelled as he was hit. A black aura surrounded his claws with an image of Armaldo surrounded him. Stretching the Relic Claws, Joe jumped up as he began to spin. A purplish-blackish aura surrounded him as a spiral wave was forming.
"Crush Claw!"
Black and purple claws combined as he dug through Sinustis. Sinustis screamed as he landed on the ground, exploding into pieces. The four rangers and Drake turned around as he looked at them.
"Well… I guess it's time for the Magna Beam!" said Shockhound, grabbing Maracturne's tablet. Pressing the button, he realized nothing was going on, "Magna Beam, work!"
"Something's going on," said Lisa.
Drake looked up as he pointed to the sky, "Look…"
The rangers turned around as they noticed an Aerodactyl and an Aurorus Zord flying toward the rangers. Behind them was a flaming ship, spiraling down. Shockhound stood there in agony, "MY SHIP!"
"Looks like the plan worked after all…," said Lisa, grinning.
"What plan?" asked Shockhound.
Drake walked forward as he looked at him, "To bust Aurorus out, my team snuck into save Leona. Guess they decided to destroy your ship from the inside out. You're done, Shockhound."
Shockhound took a huge breath in anger as the Aerodactyl and Aurorus Zord arrived. The door opened as Leona managed to walk out, meeting the others. The rangers were surprised to meet the others as Jo walked toward them. Shockhound turned to her, "You did this!"
"That's right I did," said Jo, turning to Shockhound, "I've looked all over for this crystal, and I am not going to give this Pokémon away because you want technology done to it. It has enough tech already installed to still be a living being."
Immediately, the rangers turned around as the sky turned dark. Looking up, Leona stood in shock as the rangers looked up in response. Surprised, Ferro Fett's ship was flying across, with parts and explosions. However, a red aura surrounded it as the ship began to change form. The rangers watched as the ship began to float and transform. The head of the ship stretched out with the engines tucked in. Red spikes emerged out of each part as a golden head appeared. It had bluish-greyish eyes with black and red claws that popped out. Screaming, red and black energy beams struck down, causing the rangers to land on the ground.
"Giraton?" asked Drake.
"You know this?" asked Leona.
"One of Gircannon's ultra ships. Ferro Fett probably didn't know that Gircannon's ship can do something to this extreme," said Drake.
Leona turned around as she looked at the others, "Let's get it done!"
"Aurorus Zord is too weak from the trauma that occurred," said Jo, "I won't be able to use it."
Mack nodded as he turned around, "Regardless, we need all 8 zords to stop this guy."
The rangers nodded as they turned to each other, grabbing their Fossil Chargers, "I Choose You!"
Throwing the seven chargers in the air, the rangers turned to notice the seven zords land on the ground. Giraton released red and blue energy beams, shooting them down.
"Joe, Grayson!" shouted Leona.
"Right," said the two.
Leona turned around as she took out her Fossil Blaster. Placing the Tyrantrum Charger in the blaster, she spun it and struck it in the air, "Unleash the Power!"
A flash of red light surrounded her as she transformed into her ranger suit, "Tri-Fossil Fusion!"
Immediately, Tyrantrum opened its mouth. Black and green energy surrounded Armaldo and Kabutops as Tyrantrum ingested the energy. A red aura surrounded the Tyrantrum as the legs began to rise higher, seeing robotic feet. The Tyrantrum Zord roared as the upper body rotated, leaving the tail to be the left side and the head of the zord on the right. The Kabutops Zord jumped up in the air. Folding its legs and stretching its blade like arms, it connected to the left side of the Dino Charge Megazord. The Armaldo Zord jumped up as it folded its arms and legs. The tail turned into a sharp edge nozzle. The head of the zord connected to the other part of the Tyrantrum. Finally, the head of the Dino Charge Megazord was formed.
"Dino Shotgun Megazord, Battle Ready!"
Giraton released a beam of ruby energy. The Dino Shotgun Megazord dodged it and began to shoot. Beams did not pierce the zord at all.
"Wow… it didn't even phase the zord," said Grayson.
Meanwhile…
Jo walked into the Aurorus Zord cockpit as she turned around to look at the damages. As she went to do a few things, she looked up as she noticed the Sail Fossil dropped with the crystal. Grabbing the crystal, a foot stepped on her. Jo looked up as Shockhound snarled, "Did you think I was going to let you repair this ship scot-free?"
He picked her up and kicked her to the side. As Jo landed on the ground, a golden energy beam struck as he landed on the ground. Jo turned around as Kyland and Thomas arrived. Shockhound laughed as he looked at them, "You guys are too much!"
As he went to charge his saber, an explosion appeared. The rangers held on as Jo landed on the console, pressing a red button. An opening appeared in front of Shockhound as he was booted out of the zord, however because of the force, Kyland and Thomas were hit too. Jo screamed as the Aurorus Zord flew into the lake, smashing in the ground. As the door closed, Jo turned around as she was hit in the head. Landing on the ground, she had the violet energy crystal in her left hand.
Back on the ship…
"I've tried everything… to help you succeed in your mission," said Gircannon, turning to Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett looked up as he turned to Gircannon, "You are a failure as a captain of a crew."
Maracturne and Cremelia said nothing as their ship, which is now Giraton, released another beam of energy. The beam of energy created an electrical surge, which caused the zords to split. As they all flew across, all 8 zords tried to make a scratch. Nothing happened.
Explosions surrounded the area as the three rangers landed on the ground from their zords. He turned to see all 8 of them.
"Say goodbye!"
Lake Valor Dam…
Leona turned around as she was looking at the damage. She turned around as she went to speak to the other rangers, "Gircannon's not an easy guy to stop."
"No scratches, no dents… it's too powerful," said Atticus, "Options?"
"Think fast, he has more tricks up his sleeve," Joe said, turning to the other rangers.
Immediately, Giraton hovered over the rangers. Its mouth opened, releasing an emerald beam. The other zords were hit as explosions surrounded them. The robot slashed into each zord as Tyrantrum, Kabutops and Armaldo were hit. Aerodactyl, Carracosta and Bastiodon arrived to strike them. As another beam was relinquished, Aerodactyl released a golden energy beam, only for a shield to form. Omastar and Rampardos were knocked out, landing in the woods.
"Wow, it's super powerful!" Mack shouted.
"Rangers, full on attack!" shouted Leona.
Each ranger jumped up and entered their cockpits. Once inside, the rangers activated their Fossil Chargers and placed them into the blasters, or at least for Mack, his Golden Amber Saber. The rangers nodded as the six zords stood together. Opening their mouths, the rangers released their Fossil Blasters.
"Hypercharge Beam!"
All six zords released amber-colored energy, transforming into a wall of electronic energy. As the energy swirled toward the ship, the ship floated as the beam missed. Opening its mouth, a black and red energy beam emerged, damaging the six zords. Each ranger held on in their cockpit as Lake Valor's Dam began to erupt. Explosions continued as pieces of the wall flew toward the ocean, releasing a major crack.
Gircannon turned around as he looked at the other Mooks, "Now… activate the ultimate weapon. Shadow Stream!"
A black and green energy ball formed from its mouth. Releasing it, the beam of energy headed straight toward the zords. A green electric pulse formed as explosions erupted. The rangers yelled as explosions arrived in each of the cockpits. As the zords fell to the ground, explosions occurred. Gircannon grinned as he turned to Ferro Fett. Ferro Fett looked up as Gircannon looked ahead, "THAT is how you destroy the rangers."

Chapter 25: Ferro Fett's Showdown
A/N: So, Gircannon really did it to the rangers. His ultimate power as you saw, he showed through as a prime example of how strong he is. He also did it in Hoenn in between Relic Hunters and this season. This took 2 weeks to write… not going to lie, it was tough to squeeze Kyoryuger elements with Dino Charge elements. But, I'm glad this chapter is done but it's not over… yet. 2 more chapters of this arc. So, I wonder if the Violet Ranger will be used, and I hope that Aurorus will be used for good and not in Gircannon's hands…
Which reminds me… so I started this series exactly six months ago today (May 24, 2023) and today (November 24, 2023) marks the halfway point of Dino Charge. Yeah, I know… finally! The fact that it took 6 months to finally get this far... and that's impressive and honestly the new system I have actually works. I write 10 chapters before I start and then start posting and so far, it's been going well.
