Season 3 - Aka Sid and Gareth's Epic Journey Across the 5 Realms

Episode 1 - "They Killed Gareth!"

Sid and Gareth embark on their Hero's Journey - or more like, are banished! The Valencians issue a 24-hour notice for Gareth to get out of their country. They all want to pound on Gareth for oppressing them, but since he's a friend of Galavant, which is denied by both of them, they allow him 24 hours to leave the city.

Gareth doesn't take this well and wants to take the case to the court. Everyone else thinks he's gone mad.

Sid thinks he's crazy, and that they should hurry out of the city quickly. He even mentions Madalena and their mission to save her. He's not exactly itching to run after her, but between that and death by angry villagers, he figures this is better.

But Gareth expresses that he's never run away from a fight, and that it's important to him. Plus, he think derisively, they probably aren't really going to kill him. He's spent a year and a half in their kingdom, and he thinks these theatre nerds don't have the guts to do something like that. He is obviously wrong.

The Jester, eager to take a bath and relax after the tumultuous war, stumbles upon the villagers and the war-room from Season 2. Only now there is a secret compartment that opens after he stumbles in. A villager behind him notices this, and thanks him. Then he shouts, "Hey guys! The Jester found the weapons!" and they thank him profusely for giving them the means to kill Gareth tomorrow. The Jester, being a giant coward, runs away. And after deliberating for half a day, decides to warn Gareth, who still doesn't quite believe him.

The King and Queen of Valencia are approached by Gareth, who wants to prove Sid, The Jester and everyone else wrong - and he asks them if he would actually be hung and quartered tomorrow. They reply yes - which confuses Galavant, who snaps out of lovey-dovey mode to ask where this ferocity was at the war-zone earlier. Some joke about their wishy-washy theater country is made.

The Queen explains that while they don't care either which way about Gareth, their people do, and that they must therefore make some elaborate play where they "kill" Gareth. Gareth objects as he thinks it's a wuss move and not very manly.

Sid explains that it's either this or running away in the night.
