Chapter Five: Breakfast With Royalty
Sonic and Amy made their way towards the dining hall, and they both took a seat at the table. Amy was sitting at one side of the table, and Sonic sat at the other side. King Jules and Queen Aleena were already there.
"You're looking lovely, Amy. Glad to see that you're safe now." Aleena smiled.
"Thank you, Your Majesty." Amy smiled back.
"So, you're the Amy that Aleena was talking about. Well, you're a very pretty young lady. Almost Princess like." Jules complimented.
Sonic and Amy gulped at that compliment knowing that Amy is actually a Merhog Princess.
"Oh, well, thank you for the compliment, Sire." Amy blushed.
"Where do you actually come from, may I ask?" Jules wondered.
"Uh, well, I'm not really from anywhere. I never knew who my parents were, and I grew up as an orphan. And the children I grew up with were raised to be slaves for them on the ship. So I spent most of my life sailing the seas." Amy made up.
"Yes! Which must be why you were wearing those rags, because the slaves made you wear those or something." Sonic added.
"But how did you get on that rowing boat, if you were from a ship?" Aleena wondered.
"The ship had an accident, and the ship was sinking, so most of us were able to grab a boat, before it fully sank. I've been rowing for what seemed like hours. Then as I mentioned earlier, I accidentally dropped my anchor, which punctured a hole at the bottom of it, and it started sinking." Amy explained.
"And I saw you struggling to swim, and jumped in to save you. And that's when Mom found us, advised me and you to get ready, and here we are now." Sonic finished.
"That why you took ages to get here, Sonic?" Jules wondered.
"He already got it from me, Jules. No need to tell him any more." Aleena laughed.
Just then, the Acorn family arrived into the dining hall. Nigel took a seat next to Jules, Alicia took a seat next to Aleena, and Sally took a seat next to Amy, which Sally looked at Amy in confusion.
"Good morning, may I ask who this is?" Sally wondered.
"Oh, Princess Sally. This here is Miss Amelia Rose. Or Amy she prefers to be called. And Amy, this is Princess Sally. Sonic's fiancé." Aleena introduced.
"Pleasure to meet you, Your Highness." Amy introduced, as she extended her hand for a handshake.
Sally was hesitant at first, then but slowly but surely, she didn't want to show rudeness to a guest, so she accepted the handshake.
"Lovely meeting you also." Sally replied.
After that, the breakfast was being served. There was eggs, bacon, sausages, and many more. Everyone began to pick out what they were having, and began to eat.
"Also, AMY, don't you go trying anything funny around here. I'll be watching you. Especially with Sonic, as he is my fiance, after all." Sally warned Amy, as Amy looked on with worry.
"Oh, well, don't worry about that. Nothing whatsoever. All he did was save me from drowning earlier." Amy explained.
"Is that so? Well, regardless, I'll be watching you. Try nothing funny." Sally warned again.
After that, everyone proceed to eat their meals. Especially Amy, who has never tried any of this food before. And to her surprise, she actually like what she was having.
Half an hour later, Sally and her family were having a day out to explore the kingdom. Amy was looking around the corridor at some of Sonic's family history portraits.
"Everything alright, Amy?" Sonic asked, as he approached her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just wondering what Sally's problem is with me, because she whispered to me saying she's watching me, and not to try anything funny." Amy thought.
"Yeah, Sally can be quite uptight about this kinda thing. No idea why." Sonic stated.
"And THAT is your fiance?!" Amy asked in worry.
"Indeed so." Sonic sadly replied.
"Anyway, now what do we do?" Amy wondered.
"Well, you said you've always wanted to explore the world up here, right? So how about I give you a grand tour of the Kingdom?" Sonic advised.
"That would be wonderful." Amy smiled.
"Don't worry about Sally. If she spots us, I'll tell her it's a grand tour for you, our guest." Sonic smiled.
"Thank you for defending me, Sonic." Amy smiled.
"No problem. Take as much time as you need, and I'll meet you outside where the carriage is. I'll have it arranged to travel." Sonic told her.
After that, Sonic left, and made his way outside to arrange a carriage. Amy stood there and continued looking at the photos. A lot involved wedding portraits, and each of them looked really happy.
"I hope I get a wedding like this. With someone I truly love. I'm supposed to marry Scourge, but why does my heart beat the way it does mainly for Sonic?" Amy wondered.

After Amy looked on at the pictures of the royal weddings of the past, she turned around, and made her way towards the front door, where Sonic wil be waiting in the carriage.
