Chapter Nine: All According To Plan
Back deep in the ocean, it was later in the evening, and all of the Merhogs were asleep, except for Scourge, and Fang. They were both in the throne room, talking about their plan.
"Excellent work, Fang! Now they're all asleep, it's finally time to take action. It's all going according to plan." Scourge laughs.
"Thank you, Sire. They fell asleep pretty quick though. I thought you said it'll take till later in the evening for it to kick in?" Fang wondered.
"How much of that potion did you pour in?" Scourge thought.
"Well, I wasn't sure exactly the amount, so I poured nearly the entire thing into their food." Fang replied.
"Oh, brilliant! Usually the required amount is to make them asleep in a few hours, but it's been said if you apply too much, it makes them fall asleep faster. Good job, Fang!" Scourge praised.
"Uh, you're welcome, Sire. Now they're all sleeping, what do we do now, Sire?" Fang thought.
"Well, Fang, my good fellow, YOU are going to go into the King's bed chambers, and bring me that trident!" Scourge told him.
"Oh, but, but but, me, Sire?! Why me?!" Fang wondered.
"You'll be fine, Fang. Everyone is asleep. Nobody is going to see you do it." Scourge chuckled.
"Oh, fair point, and well made. Don't you worry about a thing, I shall go and get it now, Sire." Fang told him.
"Excellent!" Scourge laughs.
Fang swam towards the bed chambers of King Alfred, and Queen Angelica. He then slowly opened the door, and looked inside. As he looked around, he saw a stand next to Alfred, which has his trident standing on it.
Fang then swam towards the trident, and looked at it. It was a 5 ft long staff, twenty-four carat gold, and Fang could even see his reflection on it. He slowly placed both hands on it, and lifed it off its stand.
"Ooh, blimey! This is a lot heavier than I thought. Anyway, better bring this back to His Majesty." Fang thought.
After that, he then swam out of the room, closed the bedroom door, and then he swam back down the palace to look for Scourge. As soon as he got to the throne room, Scourge was there anxiously waiting.
"Sire! I have it! I have the trident! Sorry that took a while, Sire. It was a lot heavier than I imagined. So do be careful with it." Fang warned.
"At last! The magical trident is mine!" Scourge exclaimed happily, and chuckles evilly.
Scourge carefully takes the trident off Fang, and it started to glow.
"Well done, Fang! I knew you wouldn't let me down." Scourge thanked.
"You're most welcome, Sire. Now that you have the trident, Sire, what do you plan to do with it?" Fang wondered.
"I am glad you asked, my good fellow." Scourge chuckles.
He then raises the trident towards the surface of the water, which is the equivalent of into the sky. A beam of light shoots into the air, and then multiple beams came straight back down, and it spawns an army of three hundred Merhogs.
He then spawned a cage in front of him, and magically transported Alfred, Agelica, Amanda, and Diana inside of them. And they were even wide awake.
"Daddy!" Amanda shrieked.
"What's going on here?!" Diana whimpered in fear.
"Alfred?!" Angelica thought, in fear.
"Scourge! What is the meaning of this?! What are you doing with my trident?!" Alfred demanded, sternly.
"Oh, Daddy! That's no way to talk to your new ruler of the ocean. Now I have your trident, I don't even need to marry your daughter." Scourge chuckles.
"But why, Scourge? We trusted you! You were to be our son in law!" Angelica yelled.
"Business. It's all been about business. How else would I have been able to get the trident? Have you trust me more than enough, until the time was right to get this. And Amelia, she was my easy way to get round to it." Scourge smiled evilly.
"Now Scourge is your ruler, you will bow to him!" Fang added.
"Never! You will NEVER be the King people want!" Alfred yelled.
"Well, you don't have much of a choice now, do you? Now I'm going for your Amelia." Scourge chuckles.
"But, Sire, we don't know where Princess Amelia is!" Fang mentioned.
"True, Fang. But nothing that the trident can't tell me. Magic Trident, show me the location of where the Princess Amelia is." Scourge demanded.
The trident spawned an aura on top of the trident, and it now shows Amy in Sonic's palace above the surface. Scourge chuckles.
"You actually sent Amelia to the world above us? You dare bring danger to us all?" Scourge asked.
"Nonsense, Scourge! The Mobians above us mean no harm! She was always a curious child, and wondered what it was like up there, so I changed her into a Mobian, so she could be up there and explore." Alfred explained.
"Not to worry. Gives me more places to take over, as well as the ocean. GUARDS, RAISE YOUR FIST INTO THE AIR! WE WILL TAKE OVER THE OCEAN, BUT WE WILL TAKE OVER ABOVE THE SURFACE ALSO!" Scourge chuckles evilly.

Fist into the air

Scourge swam towards the cage, and stares into Alfred's eyes evilly, as the guards outside of the palace line up. Scourge chuckles evilly.

(Scourge singing)
What's the fighting for?
The enemy's at your door
Aren't you keeping score?
All right, all right, it's on
.
Fang swims outside, and floats in front of the army.

(Fang whispers)
Ignite the fire, bring ignite the flames
.
Scourge magically spawns fire from the top of the trident. Fire usually doesn't work underwater, but because the trident is powerful, it's capable of doing very much anything, which Scourge used to his advantage. He continues to chuckle evilly.

(Scourge singing, guards chanting)
Ignite the fire, bring ignite the flames
Hold this line and ready your aim

Battle's hear, are you with me?

Fang swims back and forth, making sure the army are lined up correctly, and prepared for anything.

(Fang whispering)
Come on, come on

Fang chuckles, and Scourge looks outside to make sure Fang, and the army are prepared to conquer the ocean.

(Fang singing)
Now it's ride or die
The enemy's in your sights
We're wanted dead or alive
It's time for revolution

(Army whispering/yelling)

Ignite the fire, bring ignite the flames
.
"GUARDS, CAPTURE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, AND LOCK THEM UP, UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO WORSHIP OUR NEW KING!" Fang called out.
"YES FANG! ALL HAIL KING SCOURGE!" the army chanted.
Scourge watched on, and chuckles evilly. The army captured any Merhog, or fish they could find, and threw them in a cage. All the Merhogs screamed in fear.

(Fang singing, guards chanting)

Scourge then raised the trident into the air.

(Scourge singing, guards chanting)
Everybody raise your fist up
(Hey, hey, hey)
Everybody get, everybody raise your fist up
.
After that, fire spawned from the ground, in front of the prisoners, so it scared them to the point that they had no choice, but to raise their fists into the air.

(Scourge singing)
Everybody now, everybody raise your fist up

Raise your fist into the air
.
Scourge chuckles evilly, when he even sees that Alfred, Angelica, Amanda, and and Diana also had their fists into the air.
"Much better. Now you're cooperating." Scourge chuckles.

Hold the line and steady your aim
Let out your power, let out your pain
Battle's near, are you with me?
Then raise your fist into the air

Scourge swims outside, and floats above the palace. Alfred holds Angelica, Amanda, and Diana close, as this was all they could do.

Scourge laughs, and chuckles evilly, knowing his plan is all going according to plan. What will become of the ocean now? And what happens once Scourge reaches above the surface?
