Chapter Eleven: What Does Your Heart Say?
Sonic heard a knock on the door, and it was the voice of Amy calling his name.
"What are you doing here, Amy?" Sonic wondered.
"I'm just worried about you. Mind if I come in?" Amy asked.
"Not a good time, Amy." Sonic warned.
But no hesitation, Amy opened the door, and walked into the room. Amy did look around, and saw the room in such a state. But she looked at Sonic in the eyes.
"Sonic, I understand. I know you're upset about what happened with Sally. And I want to be here to support you. I'm not Sally, you can trust me." Amy explained.
Amy walked towards Sonic, and knelt in front of him. Sonic still has tears flowing in his eyes.
"I'm lost, Amy! I don't know what to do, or what to believe! I cut my own hand in anger, and my mind is blank. I don't know what to do anymore." Sonic sobbed.
Without a care in the world, Sonic wrapped his arms around Amy for comfort. He continues to cry uncontrollably, and Amy even felt tears falling from her eyes, as it was killing her inside seeing Sonic like this.
"Here now. It'll be alright, Sonic." Amy told him.
Amy still has some tears in her eyes, which is the first time she's ever felt those in her eyes. But regardless, she wrapped her arms around Sonic's head, and strokes his quills for comfort.
"It'll be alright, Sonic. I'm here for you." Amy insured him.
"Why can't you be allowed to stay here forever? If my people knew what you really are, and accepted you all, and your father agreed to keep you here, I'd make you my bride in a heartbeat." Sonic stated, still sobbing.
Amy breaks her embrace, and holds Sonic's head in her hands.
"Sonic, instead of thinking with your mind, tell me what your heart desires. Forget about what I am in my world, tell me what your heart believes. What does your heart want?" Amy smiled.
"Well, ever since we met, and we hung out, you've been nothing but nice to me, you're sweet, kind, very beautiful, you've been there for me, supported me, and you feel like someone I can trust."Sonic started.
"Go on." Amy still smiling.
"And, it's hard for me to say, but every time I see you, or in your present, my heart beats like crazy, like we were made for one another. So what I'm trying to say is... " Sonic was cut off.
"You love me?" Amy thought, as she has happy tears in her eyes.
"Yes, that's exactly it. I do." Sonic admitted.
"Sonic, nobody has ever said these things to me before. Not even Scourge has said these things to me. I know who I'm supposed to marry, but like you, the feelings I have for you are mutual." Amy stated, with happy tears.
"And now you're shedding tears, just like us Mobians. So that indicates that were not so different. Mobians and Merhogs are in a way, one in the same." Sonic mentioned, also with happy tears.
Both Sonic and Amy stood up, and held each others hands, staring into one another's eyes.

(Amy singing)
Do you ever feel like nobody was there?
Do you ever feel forgotten in the middle of nowhere?
Do you ever feel like you could disappear?
As if you could fall, when no one would hear?

Sonic then placed his head against Amy's. Feeling one another's touch made their hearts beat really fast.

(Sonic singing)

I think there's a reason to believe you are okay
Because if you don't feel strong enough to stand
You could reach, reach out your hand

Sonic backed up a little, and stared into Amy's eyes. Both of them smiled warmly.

(Amy singing)
And oh, someone would coming running
And in my mind, they'll take you home
.
Amy placed her head on Sonic's chest, and she could feel Sonic's heart beating. She knew his heart was beating like this, because he truely loved her.

(Amy singing)
Even as the dark comes crashing through
Or you need a friend to carry you
And while you're broken on the ground
.
Sonic wrapped his arms around Amy's head lovingly.

(Sonic and Amy singing)

Now let the sun come streaming in
Because you'll raise up and you'll rise again
Raise your head and look around

(Amy singing)

(Sonic and Amy singing)

.
(Sonic humming, Amy vocalising)

Sonic then took a hold of Amy's hands, and guided her towards the balcony. The full moon was out, and it was reflecting off the ocean. It looked really beautiful in Amy's eyes. They both stared at it for a while.

(Sonic singing)
There's a place where we bon't have to feel unknown
While every time that you call out

Sonic and Amy then turn to face one another, and stared into one another's eyes again.

(Sonic and Amy singing)

(Amy singing)

Sonic took a hold of one of Amy's hand, and placed the other around her waist. Amy placed her free hand on Sonic's shoulder, and they begin a slow dance around the balcony.

And suddenly I see that (And suddenly I see)

Sonic and Amy stop their slow dance, and they stare into one another's eyes.

(Amy singing)

Now you are to look around
(Sonic and Amy)

After that slow dance and the long stare into one another's eyes, Sonic placed one hand on Amy's chin. And without even thinking, he drew his head closer to Amy's, and eventually placed his lips on Amy's. This was a loving, passionate kiss. They've kissed for about ten seconds, and then they break it, and embraced one another closely.
"I don't care what you are, or where you came from, or even the fact this was my first kiss, I love you, Princess Amelia Rose." Sonic told her.
"And I love you, Prince Sonic the Hedgehog. And that was my first kiss too." Amy confessed.
"I want to arrange this marriage, whether my parents agree or not. I have to tell the the truth about you. They're bound to find out sooner or later." Sonic mentioned.
"And that is following your heart, Sonic. Not with your head." Amy smiled.
And after that, they both left the balcony, and left the room. They went downstairs to meet with Sonic's parents. What should happen now, and how will Sonic explain what Amy really is, without sounding too crazy, knowing that they all believed Merhogs are an urban legend?
