It had been three days since we arrived in Abnegation. The factionless haven't dared to attack yet. Eric and I were on patrol at this particular moment. "Tris, Behind you!" Eric shouted to me as I turned just in time to see one of the factionless trying to attack, I aimed my gun, and prepared to shoot but the factionless knocked me off my feet and flat on my back. I heard gun shots, before I felt Eric's hand on my arm. "Tris are you Okay?" he asked, as I nodded. "I'm fine." He helped me up and we fought the factionless, defeating a majority of them, leaving only 2 living. "Are you sure you're okay Tris?" I nodded, slowly.

"Lauren!" Eric called, his arm resting around my shoulders. "Yes?" she asked as she came over. "Can you handle getting the rest of the Dauntless troops home? I'm going to take Tris back now and get her checked out by Marlene." Lauren said "Of course go on." Eric and I took off and arrived back at Dauntless within 20 minutes. "I'm sorry..." I whispered, as we entered Dauntless. "For what? Tris, you have nothing to be sorry for. I'm so proud of you." I smiled as we walked to the infirmary and entered. Maddie was sitting behind the desk. "Can I help you?" she asked, not really glancing up. "Hi, Is Marlene available?" Eric asked. "Yeah, have a seat and I'll let her know you wish to see her, is there a specific name I should tell her?" I said "Tris and Eric..." Maddie's eyes shot to ours, before saying "Right away! Please have a seat." She scurried to one of the exam rooms, while Eric and I sat down. "What if the fall caused harm to the baby?" I whispered. "Don't think negatively, honey. We're here checking on the baby. I'm sure she or he will be fine." "Eric? Tris? Come on back." Eric helped me up and into the exam room. "So, what's going on? I never get a visit from the fearless leaders!" I laughed and said "'Fearless leaders' huh?" Eric grinned.

"Well, I'm pregnant, about 9 weeks along, according to Erudite General... But We were just on a mission in Abnegation, and... Well... I fell on my back..." Eric said "We just want to make sure she and the baby's okay." Marlene said "Are you having any pain?" I said "Just in my back, but I'm chucking that up to the fall..." Marlene said "That could be, but we will do a full head to toe exam and an ultrasound to check. Okay?" I looked to Eric, who said "Yeah, that's fine. We had an ultrasound before..." Marlene gave the head to toe exam before getting the ultrasound. "So, your back is one giant bruise. But other than that, you look just fine. Now let's check on baby Coulter." She put the gel on my stomach, before maneuvering the ultrasound machine around my belly. "And here is baby Coulter. The baby looks okay... Heart rate seems a little faster than normal, but that's okay, given the circumstances." I looked to Eric, who said "What can we do to bring it down?" Marlene said "Lots of rest, and fluids, should help, and I can check in tonight, before I head home, and I can drop a few things off for you then too. If you'd like?" I looked to Eric, who said "That actually would be great, thank you."

Marlene said "Great then, let me print these out for you, and you guys can head home." I waited nestled in Eric's arms. "I hope she can bring some pain meds that are safe for the baby..." I whispered. Eric said "I'll be right back honey." He returned, after a few minutes, later. "Hey. I'm back." I smiled, grabbing his hand. "What did you do?" I asked, as Marlene came in. "Hey, here's the sonogram pictures, and some pregnancy safe pain killers, as well as prenatal vitamins." I took the sonogram, while Eric took the bottles. "Thanks Marlene." Eric and I returned to our apartment. "You went and asked her for pain killers, that were pregnancy safe, didn't you?" I asked, as I sat on the couch. "Yeah, I did. My wife's needs come first. You said you were hoping for some pain meds that are pregnancy safe."

"So you made it happen." I said with a smile. "I did." He kissed my forehead, before sitting beside me. "I'm sorry you got hurt honey..." He whispered. "It is what it is..." I said, laying my head on his chest.

Jensin: Hey, Lauren texted me, saying you and Tris came back early. Is everything Okay?

Eric: Yeah, we're okay now. It's a long story, the factionless are defeated, Tris got hurt, and could've been bad, so I had to bring her home, to get checked. I think we should have a meeting the three of us, then I'll have a separate one with Four.

Jensin: Hey Four and Uriah, the second you get back, meet me at Eric and Tris's.

Jensin: I think you're right.

It didn't take long before there was a knock. "I'll get it." Eric said as he got up and went to the door, opening it. "Hey, Jensin, Uriah, Four and Lauren... Come on in, have a seat." Lauren sat beside me, whispering "Just because you can't function after fighting doesn't mean you can just leave bitch." "Whoa Lauren that's uncalled for." Eric said urgently, as his hands rested on my shoulders. "You know it's true Eric!" I looked to him, our eyes meeting briefly, before he said "Tris got top priority to leave, because we had more than just her health to worry about! We had to worry about our unborn baby first."

"That's still no excuse!" Lauren argued. "Lauren, need I remind you Eric and I are the heads of Dauntless and you're being disrespectful to one of us." Jensin warned. "You guys have no authority over anything. Just because Max retired..." "That's it. Lauren, go pack your things, and get out. You're done here." Eric stated, as Lauren got up, me following her to the door, which I regretted, cause the second she reached the door she opened it, shoving me out of my apartment, then slamming the door on my face. "OWW!" "LAUREN THAT'S IT!" Eric's voice shouted before the door opened. "Zeke, Can you take this traitor to the holding cells please!?" Zeke nodded and dragged Lauren out, while Eric helped me back inside and back over to the couch.

"Tris, your nose looks swollen..." Jensin said, concerned. Eric looked to me. "It hurts like hell." I whispered.

Uriah: Hey Babe, can you come to Tris and Eric's? Tris's nose looks broken...

Marlene: Yep. On my way.

"Marlene's on her way to try and help. What can we do to help Eric?" "No, it's okay… but now that you know about baby Coulter kid appreciate the extra support for her especially when I'm not around." "You got it." They promised. They visited a little longer, but all ended up leaving except for Uriah, when Marlene came in. "Dang girl that looks like a nasty thing let me look closer." On further examination she frowned. "Okay, so I'm going to have to cast up your nose. It's definitely broke." She quickly put a cast on my nose, and then handed us a bag. "What's in here?" Eric asked. "Inside here, is something new Erudite sent over. Here, I'll show you how to use it if you wish?"

I nodded, as she pulled out a little device. "Lift up your shirt please." I obeyed, as she put the wand thing, on belly as she turned it on. Woosh Woosh Woosh Woosh filled the room. "That is your baby's heartbeat." Marlene said, as I Looked to Eric, tears in my eyes. "This is for you guys to keep here, so you can monitor the baby's heartbeat." I was too moved to speak. Eric said "Thank you, Mar. This means so much to us, and I think it will ease Tris's mind a lot as well." Mar smiled and said "Of course. Anything for the fearless leaders!" "'Fearless leaders?'" I questioned. "Oh look at the time! Uriah, we should give these two some privacy... Let's go dear." They left, and Eric said "That's our code name around here. We're the Fearless leaders. Apparently Jensin started it."

"Nice." I said with a yawn. "When's the next leadership meeting?" Eric said "Let's get you to bed." His arm wrapped around my waist as we went to our bedroom, where he helped me change before I lied down, which is when he changed and checked the calendar before lying beside me. "Tomorrow, there is one, and it's here at Dauntless, so I'll let you get some sleep a little longer." I snuggled into him as I dozed.
