Alexander looked at the door to the small apartment. Jon O'Neill had memories of living in a three bedroom house, of fishing in a lake with no fish, of the stars. And now he lived in a small one bedroom apartment, because no one knew what to do with him. That was going to change. He knocked on the door. A young man who looked no older then Xander had been that Halloween three years ago, answered the door.

"If you're selling something, I'm not buying."

"Jack's sends his regards. I have a job offer for you."

"Prove Jack sent you."

"I didn't say he sent me, I said he sends his regards. I know what it's like to look in the mirror and not see your own face looking back at you. I know what it's like to have to get use to a life you never would have imagined having to live. If you let me in, I can explain."

Jon swung the door open and motioned him in. He listened while Alexander explained his circumstances.

"Can you prove it?"

"I can show you my ship. I can teach you how to activate your own healing ability."

"What do you mean, my own healing ability?"

"Jack was able to access that Repository because he's a descendant of an Alteran, which means so are you." Alexander held up his hand and let it glow.

"I can do that?"

"Yes, it's just a means of learning how to direct energy to your hands, the brain can do more then you know."

"Say I buy that. What's this job offer? Something undercover?"

"No, leader of an expedition to another galaxy. My home galaxy, where the city of Atlantis is. What is there may help turn the tide against the Gou'ald. But we were at war, when I was pulled here, against an enemy that there is a good chance is still active. I'll be the military commander, but we need an over all leader, civilian, with training, experience and knowledge of science. You're perfect."

"Physically I'm not even 17. I doubt anyone will listen to me."

"We can take care of that. We have a way we can age you. It's not easy, but it'll give you back a couple of decades."

"I've got memories of some damn weird stuff, I suppose it's possible. I want to see your ship."

"Come on."

Alexander led him to the park nearby and walked straight through the cloak, Jon followed him.

"It's a beauty." He said admiringly.

"Come on board. I'll tell you about how I almost made McKay lick a friend's boots clean as an apology when I caught him bullying him. His boss got him to apologize, but he deserved to have to do it."

"You've had the displeasure of meeting him."

"He hit on my wife seconds after I introduced her, in front of me and then he tried to sneak on board my ship. Displeasure is too mild a description of my feelings in regards to him. But you'll be in charge, his boss. All though, I'm not sure he'll be going along. I don't think he can handle the rules I laid out for him."

"Probably not. Alright, if you can age me, I'll take the job."

"Next stop, Sunnydale, California."

After returning the Altimah to the hanger bay, Alexander drove Jon to Giles'.

"What all is involved in this aging?"

"You're going to sleep for awhile. When you wake up, you'll be a couple of decades older."

"About the same age as Carter."

"Unfortunately for you, the original's got dibs."

"They doing anything about it yet?"

"Aside from talking? I don't think so. But they are looking forward to the Gou'ald being defeated."

"Thanks for letting me know."

"I was lucky, My Corda was pulled out too. Living without that woman in my life would be damn hard."

"Tell me about it." As they arrived at Giles' condo.

"Thank you for trusting me. I don't plan to ever break that trust."

"I don't trust easy, but I think you're legit, I can't explain it, but I trust you. Let's get this over with."

Once inside, Giles directed Jon to sit on the couch. Alexander touched an instrument to his neck and injected a knock out drug.

"Using Magic to age someone is hard." Giles said. "It takes a lot of power. And if we're not careful, could damage him." Once Jon was unconscious. "But I understand the necessity of this, so I will do it. Please stand back." Once Alexander was out of the way, Giles recited the spell and Jon began to age. Giles carefully directed the Magic and slowly Jon went from a not quite 17 year old to a 35 year old. They left him to sleep on the couch and Alexander helped Giles to his bed. Then he sat in the chair near Jon and waited for his new friend and boss to wake up.
