Chapter Fifteen: No Fear!
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all looked into the water, and saw the silver palace all the way down. It was shining from the moonlight.
"And that's where Amy's from, right?" Tails thought.
"Yep. Like she told me, when the moon shines just right, the palace reflects, and you can even see it from above the surface." Sonic explained.
"That's all well and good, Sonic, but one problem. How the hell are we gonna get down there?" Knuckles wondered.
"Not sure, but I'll swim down there, if I have to!" Sonic stated.
"Maybe you won't have to." a mysterious voice appeared.
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all looked around, and couldn't find where the voice was coming from. They all took out a sword from the ship's supply crate. Then all of a sudden, mysterious creatures emerged from the water, and climbed onto the ship, they all had tailfins, but it magically turned into legs for them to stand.
And low and behold, there came Scourge, and of course, Fang. They also magically had legs. Scourge was still in his purple form, with his quills pointing upwards, and black and red eyes.
"Scourge! Where is Amy?! I swear to God, if you've hurt her..." Sonic demanded.
"No need to panic, Sonic. She's perfectly safe. Unfortunately for you, you're not going to live long enough to see her." Scourge laughs evilly.
"That's what you think, Scourge! We are never going to give up, and we are not afraid of you!" Tails called out.
"That's the spirit, Tails! I couldn't have said it better myself!" Knuckles complimented.
"It doesn't matter how powerful you are, Scourge! It's gonna take a lot more than that to scare me, because I'm not scared of you at all! Even if I die trying to defeat you, I can at least say I've died trying! Whatever it takes, I will end you, and make sure you are put down!" Sonic snarled.
"Well, I must say. And I have to admire your courage, Sonic. You've got guts. I do like someone with guts. Just too bad you've got such big guts, because that gives me more to rip out of you." Scourge chuckles.
"If you think this army is enough to stop us, you're sadly mistaken! I can deal with them blindfolded!" Knuckles stated.
"We've fought worse enemies than these!" Tails added.
"Well, so be it! ARMY, ATTACK!" Scourge yelled.
And with that, the army all charged towards Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, and a huge sword fight began. Even Fang joined in, and Sonic charged towards Scourge, and they had a sword fight of their own.

Sonic and Scourge's swords collided, and they glare into one another's eyes with rage.

(Scourge singing)
This is only the beginning
Your anxiety's now justified
I will tell you something
There's no place left for you to hide

Justice is now mine
You can be certain

Tails and Knuckles continued to fight the army, and they defeated and killed half of them, leaving them with one hundred and fifty left, including Fang. Scourge wasn't happy with the results, but he continued to focus on Sonic.

Hearing sounds of your heartbeat
Like a time bomb slowly ticking down
You'll not see me coming
I will end your life without a sound

Scourge then knocked Sonic to the ground with a strong push, and then placed his sword on Sonic's chin. Scourge chuckles evilly.

It's unavoidable
I'll proceed my vow
There's no escape
I am unstoppable
.
Another fifty of the army was killed by Tails and Knuckles. And Fang came from behind Tails, and kicked him to the ground. Tails looked up, and saw Fang standing there, laughing at him.
"You fight well, fox. But it's time for you to go to sleep." Fang chuckled.
But before he got the chance to do anything, he gulped in pain. And when he looked down, he saw a sword right through his stomach. Tails gasped, and then looked behind. It was Knuckles.
"That was close. Are you alright, Tails?" Knuckles asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me." Tails thanked.
"No problem. Right now, we gotta finish the rest of them!" Knuckles warned.
Tails nodded in response, and he and Knuckles continued to fight the rest of them.

(Knuckles singing)
There will be no penance
For this parasite that you've become
There's no such repentance
This judgment won't be undone

(Tails singing)
There shall be no mercy
No lenience as I'm alive
Vengeance now coming
Believe it now, you won't survive

Tails and Knuckles killed another fifty, and now that leaves fifty of the army left. Scourge looked on, and saw a lot of his army laying down dead, including Fang. He gasped in shock, and Sonic kipped up back to his feet, and grabbed his sword to continue fighting Scourge.

(Sonic singing)
Justice shall be mine
You can be certain

Tails and Knuckles killed twenty five of the remaining army, and there are only twenty five left. And this really enraged Scourge.

(Sonic singing)

Sonic kicked the sword out of Scourge's hand, and he then held the sword at Scourge's chin. Tails and Knuckles finally killed the remaining members of the army, and now it's only Scourge left.

(Sonic singing)

Sonic then took a swing with his sword, ready to decapitate Scourge's head from his shoulders. But hitting his neck with the sword was like hitting a brick wall. It did no damage whatsoever. Sonic gasped in shock, and Scourge laughs evilly.

Scourge then shines bright, with a bright purple aura. And this knocked Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles backwards. They all landed on the fense of the deck. And looked towards Scourge. Scourge just laughs evilly at the three.

Scourge stands there, and laughs evilly at the three.
"It doesn't matter if you killed all my army or not, you can't kill me! I am immortal!" Scourge laughs again.
"Immortal or not, I will find a way to stop you once and for all!" Sonic snarled.
"Listen to yourself, Sonic! I have the most magical artifact in the world! I have the power to do anything I want! So believe what you want to believe, but you can not, and will not, stop me, no matter how hard you, or your friends try!" Scourge smiles.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Sonic yelled in rage.
And with that, he rushed towards Scourge with his sword in hand, but Scourge raised his sword, and the sword pierced Sonic in the stomach. Sonic gasped in pain.
"SONIC!" Tails shrieked in fear.
He tried rushing to Sonic, but Knuckles held him back. Both of them were shedding tears in their eyes.
"Tails, no! I can't risk losing you too!" Knuckles sobbed.
Scourge then takes the blade out of Sonic's stomach, and Sonic fell to his knees. Scourge then quickly grabbed Sonic by his throat with one hand, and lifts him up. Sonic has blood flowing from his mouth, and Scourge chuckles evilly. And without question, he then threw Sonic with so much force, that Sonic landed into the water, and his body sank underwater.
"NO, SONIC!" Tails sobbed.
He managed to break free from Knuckles's grasp, and he ran towards the edge of the ship, and looked down. Tails whimpered, and he was crying uncontrollably. Knuckles ran over, and held Tails in his arms, who was also sobbing.
"I'll leave you two here to lick your wounds. You'll both die out here in the cold wet rain anyway. Now I've got one more Kingdom to take over. Mobius! I'll rebuild a new cast for my holiday there. You're both welcome to come back to that palace, and become my slaves. Because that's the only choice you have now. " Scourge laughs evilly.
And with that, he vanished into thin air. Knuckles continued to hold Tails in his arms, and Tails rested his head on Knuckles's chest.
"Sonic! I can't believe he's gone!" Tails sobbed.
"I'm sorry, Tails. And I'm sorry I couldn't save you, Sonic. We were supposed to fight together, until the end of our lives." Knuckles sobbed.
And with that, they had no choice but to turn the ship around, and sail back home, knowing they'll have bad news for the rest of the family, and friends, and also to become Scourge's slaves.
