Santana woke up to a weight pushing against her body, and instantly relaxed at the smell of Quinn's perfume. "Hey…" Quinn whispered.
"Hey yourself," San said, wrapping her arms around Quinn and pulling her closer. "Did you have a good nap, my love?"
"I did. It was much needed, what about you?" Quinn asked, snuggling even closer.
Santana laughed at the familiar movement, glad that there was some normal again. "Same. Much needed." Santana rubbed Quinn's stomach, feeling her girl relax even more into her. "We have some things to talk about…"
"Like where I was?" Quinn asked softly, reaching down to still Santana's hand so that she could turn the girls ring.
"That's one thing." Santana agreed. "And the other night…" Quinn tried to snuggle closer, a sure sign that she was uncomfortable. "Shhh…I'm here, I'm right here." It was moments like this that reminded San how much she missed Quinn when she was away.
"Can we move to our bed?" Quinn asked.
"Yeah, Baby, of course." Santana told her. She waited for Quinn to get up and then followed her up and to their bedroom. Santana groaned as she lowered herself down on to the bed.
Quinn grinned at her, "Did Britt lay into you good?"
Santana fake glared at the girl as she pulled her down into her lap. Quinn giggled and Santana felt like the world was right for a moment.
Santana kissed the side of Quinn's face and took a deep breath, "It feels like we have just been on a crash course since college started."
"Yeah," Quinn whispered.
"I'm sorry about losing it the other night, Quinn." Santana told her, rotating her girl so they were eye to eye.
"I know, S. I forgive you." Quinn assured her.
"I'm not sure what even got into me." Santana told her, wracking her brain for what could have been the catalyst for her moment of insanity. Quinn bit her lip. She 100% knew what had gotten into her girl, and had made moves just that day to fix it. "You got something you want to share Q?"
"No, I think this is something you need to really do some internalization on this one, S." Quinn told her.
Santana nodded, "Okay, Quinn, and I promise to really think about it." Santana pulled the girl back into her lap. "Can I ask you something?" She pulled them both down so that they were laying together. Quinn nodded and snuggled close to San, anticipating her asking about where she was that day. "Do you really not want to tell me where you were?"
"I really don't." Quinn said without hesitation.
"Okay mi amore. You don't have to." Santana told her.
Quinn turned around surprised. "Really?"
"Really, now if it starts eating at you, like the Rachel thing did, I would like you to talk to someone. It doesn't have to be me, but it has to be someone. Can you do that?"
"Yes ma'am." Quinn assured. Santana watched her girl's entire body relax in front of her and knew she had made the right choice.
"Thank you Santana, you have no idea how much stress you just took off my shoulders…" Quinn told her.
"Wanna watch a movie before we have dinner?" San asked.
"Yes!" Quinn cheered excitedly. Santana laughed and grabbed the remote to turn on the TV.
A few hours later they all sat around eating dinner. "I went by the gym today…" Rachel started. Quinn groaned internally, this had not been the plan. Rachel needed to shut up. That was the plan, shut up and let the other two naturally discover things on their own.
"Oh yeah?" Britt asked, looking up at her girlfriend waiting for her to add to the thought.
"Yeah, I wanted to see if there were any kickboxing classes…" Again Quinn wanted to snap at Rachel, but instead she studied her plate intensely, trying not to be noticed.
"Kickboxing classes?" San asked, surprised. Quinn could feel the shift of her girlfriends eyes to the top of her head. "Did you know that Rachel was interested in kickboxing, Quinn?"
"No, that's news to me…"
"Q, sit up and join the conversation, please." Santana said.
Freaking Rachel. Quinn lifted her eyes and saw confusion in Britt's face, anxiety on Rachel's and suspicion on Sans.
"Was there a class?" Britt asked.
"Yeah, but its at like 530 in the morning on Fridays and Sundays, gross." Rachel said.
"What a bummer," Santana said.
Rachel must have been the only one to not catch the anger tinged sarcasm because she kept talking. "I know! Anyways, when I was looking at the schedule, I noticed that Amy's classes weren't on there anymore…"
"What?" Britt asked, confused by the turn of events.
"Amy didn't have anymore classes on the schedule?" Santana asked. She pulled out her phone to verify this information. "It looks like the classes are still here."
Quinn looked back down at her plate trying to not let guilt consume her. "Maybe they haven't updated it online yet." Rachel said, "I asked one of the desk people and they said that she moved back home and they will be sending out emails."
"That feels weird…" Brittany said, trying to piece together this information.
"Maybe she realized that we weren't the people to mess with…" Rachel gloated, while trying to sound nonchalant, never the girls strong suit.
"Amy doesn't seem like the giving up type, but that was a really interesting thing to say…" Santana told her. Rachel, just seeming to realize that maybe she had gone the wrong way about this went quiet. "Quinn?"
"Yes?" Quinn asked, suddenly wishing for the distraction of food.
"Do you know anything about this?" Santana asked her.
Quinn bit her lip, she couldn't lie to Santana. Well she could but she didn't want to, but she also wasn't too interested in telling the truth. "I don't know the right thing to say here."
"The truth." Britt and Santana said at the same time.
"That was the truth," Quinn countered cautiously.
"You don't want to say because you think you will be in trouble?" S asked.
"I don't think. I know, but that's not why." Quinn told her.
"I'm gonna need some help here…" Britt said, "Rachel, you aren't going to be spanked, do you know what happened?"
"Yes." Rach said slowly, looking over at Quinn.
"And?" Britt asked.
"I don't really want to say either." Rachel said with a matter of fact tone, that Quinn was always in awe of.
San leaned back in her chair, thinking. "I feel like this is a crazy question, but did either of you have anything to do with her moving home?"
Quinn bit her lip again, trying to gather the right words. "May I be excused? I ate all of my food."
Santana stayed quiet thinking about what to say in this moment. She knew that now was a good time to work on changing and not just yelling, but being more understanding. She looked behind Quinn at the clock. "Do you have your phone on you?"
"Yes ma'am." Quinn said confused. She hesitated at the edge of her bar stool, ready to jump up.
"I'm not an exceptionally patient person, but I can give you this…you may be excused and you and Rachel may go on a one hour walk to decide how you want to tell us whatever you need to tell us. Britt and I will have dessert when you get back and we can all chill in the living room and talk, does that sound okay?"
"Really?" Rachel asked.
Quinn knew that the tide could change any second though so she picked up her and Rachel's plates, sat them in the sink and pulled the girl towards the door.
"Take your coats!" Britt called. Quinn poked her head back in and grabbed both of their coats and a pair of shoes Rachel had by the door before popping back out. "That was unexpected."
Santana groaned as she stood up, "A sore bottom, makes for a softer head…"
Britt laughed as San took their plates to the sink to wash, "I don't think that's the saying."
San turned and smirked at her, "I'm trying here."
Britt stood up and kissed her friend lightly on the cheek. "I know, and I'm proud of you." She pulled down a box of brownie mix to start on.
"What are you going to do when they come back and Rae says they did something awful?" San asked.
"Do you really think they are capable of making that girl move home?" Britt asked, skeptically.
"One of them is for sure, and Quinn has been known to check a girl when she needs it." San said, drying her hands.
"Well…Rach and I agreed no more spanking until we shored up our foundation some, so do you have any suggestions?" Britt asked.
San laughed, "I'm so glad you asked!"
