Virtue and Venom: Chapter 32
Road to Konoha (3 years after Naruto left): With Naruto and Jiraya
Naruto was basically bouncing on his feet as he walked down the road to Konoha; Jiraya seeing this spoke up.
"Calm down kid; it's not going anywhere" Jiraya said and Naruto looked at him with the widest smile he could muster.
"I can't help it; it's been so long" Naruto said as he clenched his fists "I get to hang out with Mamushi again, train with Kakashi sensei, rub my awesomeness in Sasuke's face and most importantly see Ino again" he said. 'Ino' Naruto thought with a hint of pink on his cheeks.
Jiraya saw this and chuckled 'he wants some time with his girl eh' he said 'well I can't blame him; 1 year at the fire temple and 2 years on mount Myuboku with no women' he thought. Just then the village gates appeared off in the distance and Naruto began to run towards them.
"Come on pervy sage" Naruto shouted as he ran down the road.
"Hold up…little shit" Jiraya said as he chased after his hyper apprentice.
Naruto and Jiraya both showed their I.D cards and were allowed access into the village "ok kid; I'll go to Tsunade, go and find- "Jiraya began until he turned and saw Naruto was already gone "damn it Naruto" Jiraya shouted.
Yamanaka flower shop: With Ino
Ino was currently arranging flowers on a shelf to help out her family 'ok roses, lilies, sun flowers, poppies- 'Ino thought as she checked her list; just then the door to the shop opened and the bell rang "welcome to Yamanaka flowers; how can I help you" Ino said not turning around.
"You can let me see that sweet ass of yours" a mans voice said; Ino could barely process what he just said until she felt a hand grab her ass. Ino seeing red swung around and threw a punch only for it to be caught by Naruto "hey babe; long time no see" Naruto said with a wide smile.
"Naruto! How dare y- "Ino began until she realized it was Naruto "Naruto! Oh my god" Ino shouted as she jumped up and into Naruto's arms. Naruto wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight "Naruto you ass; you didn't tell me you were coming" she said as some tears fell down her cheeks.
"Sorry babe; I wanted to surprise you" Naruto said as he let her down; Ino took a step back and looked at Naruto as he looked a lot different. Naruto's blonde hair was longer and flowed over his headband which was now black instead of blue and he was taller at around 5 foot 10 inches; his cloths changed as well as he was now wearing an unzipped black collarless jacket with the fire temple symbol on the back, a dark orange muscle shirt, dark blue pants and black sandals.
"Oh, thank god you got rid of that ugly jumpsuit" Ino said "You look a lot better now; and now you are taller than me" Ino said and Naruto got a tick mark.
"Hey don't forget I landed you wearing that thing" Naruto said "but I have to say you look great too" Naruto said looking over Ino (she looks the same as in canon).
"Aww thanks babe" Ino said with a blush.
"Ino what's going on" came the voice of Ino's mother "why are you- "she began until she saw Naruto standing there. 'Lord fourth' Ino's mother thought thinking she was looking at Minato Namikaze again.
"Hey Miss Yamanaka; long time no see" Naruto said snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Oh, my word Naruto" Ino's mom said running up and hugging him "my god you got so big; and you put on some muscle and weight" she said touching his arms and stomach. Naruto grinned and nodded.
"Yeah, I gained a lot at the fire temple" Naruto said "I also went to Mount Myuboku but…" Naruto began until he had horrid ptsd of the food there. "I didn't really eat that much there" Naruto said.
"Well, we have to celebrate tonight" Ino's mom said "tonight you will come over and I will make you a nice home cooked meal" she said and Naruto beamed.
"Oh god please yes" Naruto said hugging her "I hated the food there; I never want to eat another bug again for the rest of my life" he said making both Ino and her mom go wide eyed.
'Wait what' Ino thought.
'Did I just hear him right' Ino's mom thought.
"Oh yeah Ino; I got to go to the hokage office, you want come with me" Naruto asked and Ino nodded.
"Sure; mom is it ok" Ino asked.
"Sure, honey go on ahead" Ino's mom said "just remember come back tonight Naruto" she said and Naruto nodded.
"You bet" Naruto said as he grabbed Ino's hand and exited the shop with her.
"Oh, what I wouldn't give to be 20 years younger" Ino's mom said "now then what to make for dinner tonight" she said as she got back to work.
Hokage tower: 20 minutes later
Naruto and Ino were outside the hokage office to see Tsunade and Hiruzen; Naruto opened the doors and walked in "hey grandma Tsunade I'm back; you to make me hokage now" he said. Tsunade was talking to Hiruzen and Jiraya when Naruto walked in and she was floored.
'Holy crap he looks just like Minato' Tsunade thought; Hiruzen was also thinking the same thing.
'Yep, he's definitely your son Minato' Hiruzen thought "Naruto my boy; welcome back" he said with a smile.
"Welcome back brat" Tsunade said "so is all this just for show or did you get stronger" she asked and Naruto scoffed.
"Come on granny; you know I got stronger" Naruto said and Tsunade smiled.
"Well, I'd hope so; because you have some competition now" Tsunade said "come on out; I know you want to" she said to which Naruto became confused. Just then someone dropped from the ceiling in front of Naruto into a crouch before rising up.
"Naruto; you're back" Mamushi cheered as she sprang forward and hugged Naruto who was stunned.
"Mamushi" Naruto cheered as he hugged her back "I missed- oh my god" Naruto said. Naruto was surprised by how good Ino looked but with Mamushi he was floored.
Mamushi was taller now at around 5 foot 6 inches and her long black hair was done in a pony tail at her shoulder blades; she was wearing an anbu uniform consisting of a tight black bodysuit which emphasized her curves and impressive bust, steel plates over her chest and back and her head band was tied around her left arm. Mamushi's face was also different as her face was slenderer, her lips had light purple lip gloss and she had eye shadow which made her silver eyes more noticeable; in conclusion Mamushi was drop dead gorgeous.
Ino seeing Naruto dumb struck kneed him on his leg making him yelp in pain "ow, what the hell Ino" Naruto said but regretted it when Ino gave him and annoyed look.
"Excuse me" Ino said "I didn't see you make that reaction when you saw me, your girlfriend after all these years" she said and Naruto paled.
"It's not like that; I was just surprised that's all" Naruto said waving his hands in front of himself "I just didn't expect Mamushi to change so much that's all; you're still the only girl for me" he said and Ino became less annoyed.
"Yeah, I blossomed" Mamushi said doing a twirl "I also became super duper strong too; I've been kicking a lot of butts on my anbu missions" she said.
Flashback
A man was in his bed as masked Anbu approached his bed "what are you doing in my house" he whimpered as he raised the covers to shield himself "what are you doing in my house" he sobbed.
"I want waffle fries" Mamushi said as she raised up her sword.
Flashback end
"I even won Anbu of the month for the past 2 years" Mamushi said "so yeah I'm pretty awesome" she said making everyone sweat drop.
"Well, I'm glad to see you Mamushi" Naruto said as he and Mamushi hugged "so how's Kakashi sensei and Sasuke" he asked.
"Why don't you ask us yourself" came Kakashi's voice from behind; Naruto turned around and saw Kakashi, Anko and Sasuke standing in the door wat "yo" Kakashi said.
"Kakashi sensei" Naruto cheered as he saw his sensei for the first time in years; Naruto then turned to Sasuke.
"Hey loser; you got stronger or were you just wasting time" Sasuke jabbed at Naruto with a smirk; Sasuke was wearing grey pants, black sandals and a dark blue jacket with the Uchiha crest on the back and a muscle shirt underneath. On his back he carried his mother's old sword from her jonin days and on his left hip he had his father's tanto.
"Ah piss off bastard" Naruto said "I can kick you ass then and I can kick your ass now" Naruto said with a smirk himself.
"Wow looking good kid" Anko said walking up to Naruto "man if you were a couple years older and I wasn't with Kakashi here I definitely take you for a ride" she said making Naruto blush and Ino fume.
"Now Anko don't tease him" Kakashi said "and please don't taste his blood" he said and Anko groaned while walking back to Kakashi.
"Fine" Anko said putting away her kunai "but only because I love you" she said as she slapped his ass making him jump.
"Ughh could you 2 not act gross in front of me" Sasuke said; Mamushi then appeared behind him and slapped his ass in return "Mamushi, what the hell" Sasuke said with a blush.
"My booty" Mamushi said as she wrapped her arms around Sasuke; Naruto chuckled at this then realized something.
"Hey where's Gaara" Naruto asked and Hiruzen spoke up.
"Funny you should mention that" Hiruzen said "2 months after you left and when Gaara recovered from the mission we got a letter from Suna; they needed a Kazekage so…" he began.
In Suna: Kazekage tower
Gaara was currently doing paper work in his office when the door opened; Hinata walked in carrying 2 bento boxes "Gaara I brought us lunch" Hinata said with a smile "how about you take a break so we can eat" Hinata said and Gaara nodded.
"Thank you Hinata" Gaara said as he and Hinata sat across from each other "how are thing going at the academy" Gaara asked.
"Very well; I have high hopes for this new class" Hinata said; since coming to Suna Hinata has been working at the academy to help train kids in basic ninja fundamentals.
As they ate the door opened again "we're back from kicking ass and taking names" Tayuya said as she walked in with Temari.
"Did the mission go well" Gaara asked and Temari nodded.
"Yes; 1 bandit camp destroyed" Temari said putting the scroll down on the desk.
"Very good; I'll process it and get you your pay" Gaara said "you 2 are dismissed for the day" he said.
"Fuck yeah" Tayuya cheered "hey babe lets go; I wanna get trashed tonight" she said as she grabbed Temari's hand and began to drag her along.
"Oh my god you are so predictable" Temari said rolling her eyes before giving her a kiss on the cheek "but that's what I love about you" she said. Both Temari and Tayuya exited and Hinata looked at Gaara.
"I can never get over how perfect they are for each other" Hinata said and Gaara nodded in agreement.
Back in Konoha
"Gaara is Kazekage, Hinata moved with him to Suna and Temari is a lesbian dating that sound girl we captured during the invasion" Naruto said wide eyed.
"Yeah, it was pretty surprising for us too" Tsunade said "but her Temari and Tayuya bonded in prison and fell in love; and who am I to get in the way" she said.
"Damn I missed out on a lot" Naruto said "well I'm back now and we can pick up where we left off" he said.
"Glad to hear that brat" Tsunade said as she stamped a paper "as of right now Team Kakashi consisting of Kakashi Hatake, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Ino Yamanaka is now fully operational" she said and Naruto and his teammates smiled.
"Awesome; the old group back together again" Naruto said with a smile.
"And along with that" Tsunade said stamping another piece of paper "as of right now Team Anko is also formed consisting of Anko Mitarashi, Mamushi and Sai" she said and Naruto looked at her confused.
"Wait who" Naruto asked in confusion.
"That would be me" came a voice as Naruto and Ino looked up and saw a pale boy drawing in a sketch book; he then jumped down from the ceiling and landed in front of everyone "I am Sai; I'm an attaché and Mamushi's partner on missions" he said with a creepy fake smile.
'Oh god this guy gives me the heebi jeebies' Naruto thought.
'Oh, my he's even paler than Mamushi' Ino thought 'and how does he have a better figure than me' she thought touching her stomach.
"Wait you're Sai" Sasuke said and Sai nodded; Sasuke then looked over to Mamushi "you never told me he was a guy" he said and Mamushi shrugged.
"You never asked" Mamushi said before getting a mischievous smile "why are you jealous" she said; Sasuke turned away with a pout and crossed his arms.
"No… just… forget it" Sasuke said before Sai began to chuckle.
"I believe he's jealous" Sai said making Sasuke annoyed and making Mamushi chuckle.
'Ugh great I hate him already' Sasuke thought.
"Ok now then" Tsunade said gaining all their attentions "since we've discussed everything, I believe it would be best for Naruto to go and get situated" she said. "Ino, could you take Naruto to his new apartment" Tsunade said and Ino nodded.
"Sure" Ino said grabbing Naruto's hand "lets go babe" Ino said as she and Naruto walked out of the hokage office. Tsunade began to chuckle which made everyone else look at her in question.
"Um Lady Tsunade; what's so funny" Kakashi asked and Tsunade smiled at him.
"I wish I could see his face when he sees it" Tsunade said.
A little while later
Ino and Naruto were walking through the streets of Konoha as they made their way to Naruto's new place "so what does it look like; have you seen it" Naruto asked Ino who only chuckled.
"Oh yeah I've seen it" Ino said with a shit eating grin making Naruto confused; as they rounded the corner Naruto became even more confused.
"Uh babe; this is your house" Naruto said pointing at the Yamanaka compound.
"I know; follow me" Ino said dragging him along; Ino opened the door and began to lead Naruto through her house until they reached the dining room.
"Welcome back you 2" Ino's mom greeted as she sat at a table full of food with Inoichi sitting next to her.
"Naruto good to see you; you look well" Inoichi said with a wide smile; Ino then let go of Naruto's hand.
"Tada" Ino said and Naruto scrunched up his face in confusion.
"What the hell is going on" Naruto said looking around "am I being punked; are there cameras somewhere" Naruto said.
"Oh my god my boyfriend is an idiot" Ino groaned making Naruto gain a tick mark "we here, you dumbass, we are in my house" Ino said as she reached into her pocket. "Here is your key" Ino said handing it to Naruto "you live here now; this is your home" she said slowly for Naruto who was wide eyed.
"What" Naruto said in disbelief.
"We couldn't image you living alone so we decided to move you in here" Ino's mom said "we have a room prepared for you and Ino in another part of the house; so, you 2 can have your privacy" she said shocking Naruto. Naruto then looked over to Inoichi who was smiling.
"Welcome home Naruto" Inoichi said.
Ino, her mom and Inoichi were all looking at Naruto with wide smiles; suddenly their smiles vanished and they all became concerned.
"Naruto are you ok" Ino asked with worry; Naruto was crying and choking as he tried to keep his composure.
"I-I really have a h-home now" Naruto choked out; Ino went up and hugged Naruto and her mom followed shortly after.
"Of course, Naruto" Ino's mom said "you're family to us" she said; when she said this Naruto began to sob uncontrollably as he held both Ino and her mom.
"I-I have a-a f-family" Naruto sobbed out as both Yamanaka women held him tight; Inoichi seeing this felt his heart pang and he got up. Inoichi walked over and placed a hand on Naruto shoulder; Naruto looked at him and Inoichi smiled.
"Welcome home son" Inoichi said with extra emphasis on the 'son' part.
A few hours later: Naruto and Ino's room
Naruto was lying down in his bed feeling the softness and smelling the fresh linen; he still couldn't believe he was living with Ino and her folks in their clan compound. He was so caught up in his thoughts he almost missed the door to the bathroom open up and Ino walk out wearing her purple short shorts and her white tank top.
"Oh man I'm ready for bed" Ino said as she crawled into bed with Naruto; Ino scooted over to Naruto and pecked him on the lips "I'm glad you're finally back" she said with a small smile. "I missed you so much it hurt sometimes" Ino said as she touched Naruto's cheek "are you ok, you cried a lot earlier; I hope I didn't- "Ino began but Naruto stopped her by putting a finger to her lips.
"No, you did nothing wrong" Naruto said "I just… all I ever wanted was a family; a mom and a dad, to hear welcome home son, or I missed you sweetie" he said. "I always dreamed about it; and then I wake up to a cold and lonely apartment" Naruto said making Ino frown "Mamushi was there but it wasn't what I wanted" he said.
"Well now you have it" Ino said making Naruto smile "now quit being all sappy and let's go to bed" she said making Naruto chuckle. "Do you want to be the big spoon or little spoon" Ino asked and Naruto smiled.
"Little spoon tonight" Naruto said; Naruto turned around and Ino held him from behind wrapping her arms around Naruto "goodnight Ino" Naruto said as he turned off the lights.
"Goodnight Naruto" Ino said as she closed her eyes.
Naruto grabbed onto Ino's hand and closed his eyes feeling her soft breathing on his back 'I'm home' Naruto thought before falling asleep.
Suna desert
2 cloaked figures were making their way through the desert on their way to Sun in order to complete their mission.
"The one tails jinchuriki is out target" Kakuzu said "how much trouble do you reckon he will be to capture" he asked.
"A lot harder than it would originally be" Sasori said as he walked along side Kakuzu "Deidera and his explosive fighting style would've been the best way for us to capture him; but he and Hidan both had to go and get killed" he said and Kakuzu nodded.
"Hidan was an idiot; I do not miss him" Kakuzu said "however all is not lost; I am skilled in Lightning release, if the reports are correct, it will prove invaluable since his sand manipulation is earth based" he said and Sasori nodded. "And let's not forget; we already captured the 4 and 5 tails before those 2 fools got killed" Kakuzu said
"Well then; let's do this as fast as possible" Sasori said.
The 2 Akatsuki members walked through the desert to Suna unknown to anyone that the Akatsuki began to make its move.
