Hello once again my ever lovely and ever loyal peeps and peeplips!
So here we are, Security Breach is done, it's over and the threat of Afton is final gone, right?
Wrong.
Dead fucking wrong.
If you followed the last chapter, Afton may have finally gone to Hell, his followers are very much still alive and roaming free, ready to wreck vengeance on the man who had killed their leader. Like most cults, they're cockroaches or better yet, like a hydra. Cut one head, two more will take it's place much like a certain organization we all know and seeing as HYDRA was working with Afton, now having a digital Vanny as their own Jarvis, you can bet your ass they're going to make a comeback at Xero and allies.
But not at the moment.
Now, Xero is going to have to deal with a whole host of new problems cropping up, like his upcoming meeting with certain leaders, stubborn bioterrorist, a furry cult wanting revenge on him for killing their furry killer god and a whole list of other bullshit that is going to keep Xero busy for a very long time. Politics non-with standing, things are just getting started, as much like the undead, nothing stays dead in this world. Someway, somehow, they always find a way to come back.
Unlike a certain now burning in Hell furry killer.
But don't think for a second that the over looming threat of his Cult is done, far from it actually, as Xero's battle with Afton was just the first one. Many more will come before the Cruse of Afton and his dark legacy are gone for good. But as we all know, if there is one thing Afton is good at, any Afton really, is that not even death itself can hold them.
Not for long anyway and usually takes a few times before it sticks.
Really, when does death ever stick in this world? Be it in the Fate one, FNAF or even the Resident Evil world?
Anyway, i've seen some complaints that Marvel's Spider Man 2 is too short and in all fairness i completed the game in like, six days, side quests and actives all the way but that's mostly because i begin playing the game from like ten in the morning to TWO AM, late in the night and got it a day earlier, so, eh, yeah i just went all balls to the wall, all hands on deck kind of thing. So, yeah obviously i was going to get it done pretty fast and in all fairness, i completed "Miles Morales" game in about two days, doing the same thing and while i do believe it would have worked better as a DLC, i cannot argue with the result, nor the epic story it told.
To me, Marvels' Spider Man 2 was actually a coming of age story for Miles, while Peter realzes he doesn't need to be Spider Man anymore. That he no longer had to sacrifice everything and everyone for the sake of his mission and could do just as much good, without a mask. Thanks to Harry and his dream of 'Healing the world'.
Boy, did the ending of the game most certainly set up the third and final installment of the game and for once, i have no idea what's going to happen. I mean, i can't speak without giving out some very heavy spoilers about the game's plot and ending but boy, was it a wonderful, epic ride from beginning to end. Sad to say it's over now but hey, what can you do?
It is what it is. As always i own nothing but my OC.
So please read, review and "What the fuc-BOOM"
Chapter 11: BREAKING NEWS: Aftermath
"I say it again Mr. President, this is a fool's errant."
President Ellis Graham rolled his eyes before looking at Wilson, ready to say exactly what was on his mind, when his daughter, Ashely Graham did it for him, "And listening to you repeat the same thing over and over again is annoying but we do it anyway. So, what don't you do us a favor and knock it off already. This is happening whether you like it or not, so just save us all the headache and put a cork in it already." Ashely had not changed much, at least physically wise, since the faithful kidnapping a year ago.
But mentally, she had changed a lot.
Ashely was a young woman with light skin, blonde hair just reaching past her slim shoulder and brown eyes. She wore a sleeveless red form fitting shirt that clung to her growing body but keep it nicely covered in a way that was both nice on the eyes but not in a slutty manner. She wore a dark blue jacket over it, with a pair of black pants and black boots. Wearing a similar color scheme to one of her saviors, that brought bloody retrubition upon her kidnappers and made them pay for what they've done to not just her but countless others.
To top her outfit out was the necklace around her neck, holding up a familiar red symbol laying on her chest.
A red wolf head, howling, within a spiked circle.
Upon her return to the states, her father and many others quickly came to realize, she had gained a much harder back bone with an equally sharp tongue to match. Before, she wouldn't have dared to speak back to the SOD or any of her father's people, for fear of messing something up or simply intimidation. Whether it was out of fear, respect or not trying to hinder her father in his job was unknown to Ellis himself but honestly, he didn't find the change in her annoying or hindering.
If anything, he was grateful for it, as it helped Ashely in more ways than one. At the very least, help her grown mentally and while she had some PTSD because of the nightmare she suffered, she still going when many others could not.
Moving on, the 'all' being the massive group that under no normal circumstances would these people ever willingly be in the same room, let alone the same location without trying to kill each other. What are the groups you ask?
First was the president with his daughter, William Stryker and his assistant, Yuriko Oyama. In addition, there was Leon, members of his cabinet with some secret services men and Leon's new team among them, Shen-May, Patrick and Jason. Defense security Wilson, his advisor, general Ross, his best man Blonsky, the CIA director Geroge Mcgrath and Ryan Clayton. But they weren't the only ones.
Amongst the large group, were members of the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, the Brotherhood of Mutants, SHEILD and the BSAA.
The Brotherhood's side was Magneto himself, his right-hand woman Mystique, Quicksliver his son, Toad, the Blob, Avalanche and Domino. While yes, it might not seem like much, but Magneto alone could take on an entire army by himself and win.
Easily.
So easily in fact, it was a widely regard fact that the US had plastic and non-magnetic weapons in production at this very moment the powerful mutant decides to strike against the country, declaring all-out war. To some, it was merely a matter of time before the war between humans and mutants broke out, with people on both sides, preparing for the inevitable.
But fortunately for everyone on the planet, there were many people that wished to see such an event never come to pass.
On the side of the X Men, was Charles Xavier aka Professor X, Logan aka Wolverine, Ororo Munroe aka Storm, Hank Mcoy aka The Beast, Scott Summers aka Cyclops, Katherine "Kitty" Pryde aka Shadow Cat, Bobby Drake aka Iceman and Rogue (Anna Marie).
Naturally, the Fantastic Four were all four members, that were more or less, siding with the US group, as a sort of balancing out the badly unbalancing of power between the groups. Even if they all came to the same place, to meet the same person and possibly make an alliance with his organization with the unspoken rule of "Don't kill each other" that didn't mean it wasn't tempting for some.
More than others, but you get the idea.
Everyone in the world with access to the world wide web now knew some of Xero's and by that extensions, Chaldea's abilities and powers. It would be a fool's errand to squander getting such a powerful ally on their side, just to satisfy some petty rivalry and or grudges.
Not with some much to gain and so much to lose just because someone couldn't keep themselves in check.
No one knew what else the man had up his sleeve, let alone his allies that were possible just as strong or perhaps, even stronger then him.
Coming to the side was the BSAA, containing Chirs, his team, Jill Valintine, Carlos Oliveira and director Clive R. O'Brian. Unlike the rest of the groups, this was the most relaxed group out of all of them. Even if the members were all like spring coils, ready to move in an instant but having faith that their Magus friends would have some sort of plan in place, in case someone got happy trigger fingers.
After all, they chose the location and time for all these groups to meet, many of which had plenty reasons to hate and want to kill one another. But unless something was done soon, any thoughts and actions of peace between the groups would shatter like fragile glass.
Then there were members of, let's call them, the Stark team; Pepper Potts his personal assistant, Harold Joseph "Happy" Hogan Tony's driver/bodyguard, Obadiah Stane his business partner and Tony's best friend, James "Rhodey" Rhodes. These were the three closest to Tony and while Rhodey was here to make sure his friend was alive and well, he was also extra protection for the president, if their 'host' proved to be hostile.
For all the good that would do.
Finally, there were the members of SHEILD.
There was of course, Director Nichols J. Fury, agent Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Phil Coulson, the STRIKE team and the four members of the World Security Council. Pamela Hawley, Gideon Malick, Chao Yen, Douglas Rockwell, Jakuna Singh and the leader of the WSC himself/secret HYDRA agent was Alexander Pierce.
Although he kept up a good nature look, not looking worried at all, his mind keeps wondering to the new 'deal' their newly found 'ally' had given him and HYDRA. Truth be told, she was the definition of wild card, as HYDRA knew very little of this Vanny AI Afton created to be his second. The fact Afton didn't tell them about her existence set off all kinds of red flags to Pierce, but the leader of HYDRA knew that it was a risk he they had to take.
They've already sunk too much into Afton's twisted plans to come out empty handed, otherwise it could set them back several years if not decades. His top research team and their scientist have been studying the Remnant that brought Afton back to life, bounding him to the computer program, even the Springlock suit he died in. The man himself was very tight lipped about it, either from his unwillingness to admit he did not know something or because he wanted to keep the secrets of the Remnant for himself, HYDRA did not know but looked at it closely with a keen eye. If they could find some way to harness its power, there would be no limit HYDRA could not reach.
But with the defeat of Afton and the destruction of the Mega Pizza-Plex, they had basically lost everything they were working for, as they didn't learn anything aside from speculation and guess work.
That meant basically millions of dollars in research into the mysterious substance known as Remnant just went down the drain.
They had to find a way to make up for their loses with Afton's defeat and the destruction of the Mega Pizza-Plex, leaving their agents scrambling to find the remaining hideouts Afton had before Mazoku did. The possibilities, what they could do if they just simply understood how Remnant worked, what HYDRA could achieve would be limitless.
But they had to understand it first!
If that meant teaming up with a wild card like Vanny, one that they couldn't really control, then so be it. After everything that has happened, after the upload, revealing Mazoku and what really happened to the Mega Pizza-Plex, Pierce knew they would need all the help they can get.
Three Days Prior, At The Crater, 6:27 AM
"Please tell me you got all of that?"
While the chaos and flurry of activity was happening all around, where the once proud Mega Pizza-Plex once stood, the group of 'thugs' that witnessed everything went completely unnoticed by all. Which was exactly the group's intention and what they were hoping for.
This group wasn't a group of thugs, wannabe gangsters, harden criminals or even a legitimate threat to society as a whole.
At least, they weren't from a certain point of view that is.
You see, this group disguised as thugs was known as a crackpot, laughed at by everybody, group known as The Department of Paranormal Activities or DOP for short. These are the kid of people that investigate what others would call crack pot theories and unexplained phenomena. The kind of people that believe in things like Bigfoot, aliens, supernatural, mythical animals, dragons, demons, etc.
Even if some of them are completely and utterly true, everyone else that wasn't with them (Or apart of the supernatural world) were laughed at, mocked even, for believing in the supernatural, for years by other agencies. Some going so far, as to actively use the fact no one believed their very existence of this department was necessaries, to steal their funding from the government, causing the DOP to be in the red in terms of funds.
In fact, if the agency didn't find any definitive proof of the supernatural existence within the next six months, they're funds be cut off completely and shut down. That had left the agency scrambling to find something, ANYTHING to prove their worth, which lead them to the Mega Pizza-Plex.
With the recent disappearances/murders cropping up all around Detroit, very reminisce of the old murders in the 1900's, almost matching the same MO of Mr. Afton's killings and the fact some claim to have seen people wearing odd bunny masks, lead the DOP to investigate the new Freddy Fazbear's place. But seeing as they didn't have the funds or legal standing to investigate up close and personal, all they could do was watch from afar.
Then EVERYTHING happened.
The night/morning that changed everything.
The chance, THEIR chance to prove everything was delivered to them on a sliver platter. The opportunity, the proof they needed to not only stay afloat and keep their jobs, but all but blow all the nay-sayers out of the water in a speculate fashion. This opportunity would not only enable them to keep their jobs and prove their worth but show everyone why the DOP was needed to combat what they already knew: the supernatural existed, it was real, and it was very, VERY dangerous.
That was proven when William Afton not only came back from the dead, hellbent on taking over the world, but the one who defeated him had powers and abilities beyond that or a normal mutant or even a super soldier.
Captain American and the Red Skull might have been titans in their time, but it was just that, THEIR time.
A time long since passed from the 1900's to the 2000's and in almost ten years, humanity will soon witness another step in their evolution.
"Yes." The lead agent, simply known as Agent 1, spoke in a breathless tone, eyes unblinking as he stared at the scene with a camera in hand, "We've got EVERYTHING, it's all recorded. Sir, this is our chance to show our superiors-"
"No." His handler spoke, "No, if we show our superiors, they'll either claim the video is fabricated, CG's or just outright threw out all the evidence we've collected. Do you see the dark skinned, bald man in the trench coat? That's director Fury of SHEILD, the kind of people that buries people like us for attempting to reveal the truth with coverups and what not. I've seen it happen before, we cannot allow what has happened here be buried by anyone, not like Raccoon city." Agent one and the rest of the disguised agents all stayed silent for a moment, in mourning for the people lost in the city and a respective silence for all those lost souls, before their handler spoke once again, "Agent one, what i'm about to tell you to do could make or break our organization, but it has to be done. People NEED to know we have these kinds of monsters living among us and the ones at the top will do everything they can to keep this a secret, so we have to be the ones to reveal it to the world. This event shows us that there is indeed far more to the world then anyone ever expected, even us. If we keep this to ourselves, if we allow the truth to remain hidden, then it could mean the end for humanity in the future. If people keep their head buried in the sand, then we may not even have a world to call our own anymore."
Ghosts, people that can come back from the dead, Hell (Or what most certainly looked like some kind of Hell), magic, alterative dimensions and God knows what else was real, it was enough to make agent one's head spin. But his handler was right, people needed to know about this and the fat cats at the top would rather bury the truth, then reveal it to the public for who the hell knows why.
But that guy, Mazoku or something, his abilities were well off the charts.
No seriously, all of their charts might as well have been rendered useless. They need more charts!
Bigger charts!
THE BIGGEST CHARTS EVER MADE, CAUSE THIS GUY'S POWER IS WELL OVER ANY CHART'S ABILITY TO MEASURE!
But that was beside the point, as the true danger lied in this young man's powers. Having just one of said powers, be they super strength, speed, durability or his unique brand of electricity (Or was it lightning?) manipulation would be pretty dangerous if some crazy mutant had one of his powers, let alone having ALL of them in one person, warranted an immediate response.
Whether he did anything bad or not, having any of those powers and using them with such skill, still warranted an immediate response. He didn't know what they would do, nor did the agent particular care but what he did know, was this was the kind of thing that needed to be contained before it spiraled out of control, doing something much worse than just simply destroying robots possessed by dead serial killers.
This is why their organization existed after all, for exactly things like this.
That wasn't even including his terra-forming ability or some sort of power to take everyone to an entirely different plane of existence, who knew what else the dark-haired man could do. Not to mention, the redheaded lady that somehow turned herself on fire and had some sort of pyrokinesis ability and was obviously had some sort of immunity to fire.
And that blue haired one, the one with the pink lighting power, she was able to completely vaporize the massive mall with just one attack! Seriously, what the fuck?!
How the hell were people like this stayed hidden all this time?!
It was all pure insanity and just the kind of thing the government would coverup but not because they fear FOR the public, but because it would become inconvenient for them to deal with the fallout. That may sound cynical, but agent one knew that if the big cats had to wipe out towns, to entire cities themselves, as proven by Raccoon city's destruction, just to keep certain elements secret, they would do so.
It was an open secret, as many didn't believe it, but the reason Raccoon city was 'sterilized' was to not only stop the spread of the infection but to cover up the fact the Umbrella cooperation was directly responsible for the creation of the T-virus. But any and all evidence of it, went up in smoke with Raccoon city.
Now, that sound like something a paranoia shut in that lived in their mom's basement might say, but in the world, they lived in, it wouldn't be the craziest thing. After all, just before the 2000 century begin, two years prior, an entire city was wiped out because a zombie virus of all things, broke out of a secret lab, killing and infecting everything it could touch.
Seriously, it sounded like one of those openings to an old fashion zombie game.
Only this was real.
...And the virus didn't infect people but animals and created all kinds of horrific monsters as well. Some tried to cover up the existence of these unique BOW's but like everything else in the digital age; their is always a camera, ready and recording everything. Truth be told, this entire thing sounded like a zombie game but that was beside the point. The point is, that reality was more often than naught, stranger than fiction and what many believed to be a myth was not only very much real but very much active in this day in age.
And very dangerous.
But his handler was right, if humanity kept their heads buried in the sand, if they allowed the truth to remain hidden, then it could very well lead to the destruction of their entire race if they failed to act. To reveal what was hidden, make everyone aware of what was really going on and what was hidden behind legends and myths.
"Understood sir. I'll see it done."
For the survival of humanity and it's future, the truth had to come out, least their ignorance get them all killed or worse.
After all:
EXTINCTION IS FOREVER.
At Chaldea, 6:40 AM
"You look like shit and, oh for fuck's sake, we're an organization meant to protect humanity, not running an orphanage."
Xero didn't bother to give Olga a snarky or smartass response, just tugging past the white-haired woman after he stepped out of the portal with his group, Gregory's still in his arms with Olga standing there with a stoic look on her face. One that changed to annoyance when she saw the small boy clinging onto the main master of Chaldea and yet, despite her annoyance it was obvious to Xero that she was very worried. After sitting Gregory down, before heading towards his room. It was only after getting out of clear view of everyone else, did he allow the fatigue show on his face. Olga was so going to let him have it when he woke back up, after all the shit he just pulled, even in his tired state, he knew she wouldn't be happy about what he did, but Xero was just so tired, he didn't care for the possible consequences that would come with his decision to basically invite several groups to Chaldea.
Even if the newbies were in awe of the advanced halls of his home/workplace/base. It was a naturally reaction and one thing Xero was proud of, as he helped create some of new equipment/toys Chaldea stored away in its personal stock, personally.
Him and Da Vinic.
The good thing about being the unofficial boss of Chaldea, was that he could push his work onto others, within reason of course.
He wasn't going to forth all his work onto other people, while he most certainly could, he wasn't that type of person to do that kind of only would that kind of thing drive him mad, he simply wasn't lazy type and preferred to do his own research, part of his own rules but that was splitting hairs.
First and foremost, he needed a shower to wipe all the sweat and shit off of his body before heading to bed. He hated feeling all the ickiness while laying on bed and he had enough experience going to sleep filthy thank you very much. If he didn't have to go to sleep filthy, then he wouldn't, as it was an occupational hazard most of the time.
This was thankfully not one of those times.
"So, this is your boss?" Tony questioned, eyeing the woman up and down with a critical eye, as Olga did the same, "Is your hair dyed or is it natural white like my grandma's hair."
"And you must be Xero's father." Olga spoke in a very bland tone, looking the older man up and down with unimpressed eyes, "Got to say, meeting you in person; I'm not impressed. I suppose Lilith only had use for your genes and nothing more than making Xero."
"Well, i wouldn't say that. Maybe i'm just that great of a catch."
"Doubtful. Most likely, the only reason she let you into her bed, was for the soul purpose was to get the semen to create Xero. Giving what she had to pick from, it must have been a very close race on choosing between you and several other men but you won out of sheer luck."
"Can you two please not fight." Xero interjected, rubbing his forehead, making Vi look worriedly at him.
"Are you alright sensei? You honestly look like you're about to keel over." It wasn't just her worry clouding her judgement, as the man she came to see as more than just her teacher, but a father figure, very much looked like he was about to fall over dead. Mana fatigue was a dangerous thing and having it siphoned directly like his was, would have killed a lesser Magus.
"Yeah, even i think you look terrible Xero." Gregory none too helpfully supported Vi's concern's as, of course, Freddy had to butt in.
"Indeed, my sensors are telling me that your body is suffering from severe sleep deprivation and have multiple contusions as well." The bear now looked very worried and concerned, as his cute, adorable ears went down his iron skull as a result.
"Yeah, well that's what happens when you try to Sumo wrestle an armored, robot wolf being controlled by a long dead serial child killer." Came Xero's snippy response, as he magicked his armor away, revealing his torn clothing and now, very bruised body. His pale skin around his scarred chest was now sporting a very ugly purple, rather then the regular pale whiteish color.
"Okay, yeah i'm not doctor but that looks really bad." Tony winced at the sight of his son's brusied, and very scarred, upper body.
"What else is new?" The Magus groaned a little, ignoring the horrified looks he was getting from their newest residents, as everyone else just looked registered at the sight. It was a very common sight sadly.
"Ya know, at this point, if these guys decide to shoot you with tranquilizer darts, it will not surprise me at all." Gudako said simply, shaking her head, getting her fellow redhead to look at her shocked.
"Isn't that a bit excessive?"
"Trust me Claire, Oni-chan would never sleep if he had his way and the only time he sleeps on a regular schedule, is one he's forced into bed."
"Oh, yeah, okay that's probably my fault." Tony said honestly, "I have a similar habit, if i didn't think you were my son before, this most certainly would prove it now."
"And i assume i have you to thank for all his smartassness?" Olga asked with a glare, as Tony gave her a cheeky grin.
"Yep! It's nothing personal snow white, it's just an unwritten Stark commandment; Thou shall be the sassy little shit to the very end."
"Hey, language." Freddy, ever the papa bear covered Gregory's ears aka the child in the place of the two swearing, making all three roll their eyes at him. Even his three band mates as they all had, what they call 'child blockers' added to their AI's, least they curse in front of children. Even if you ignore what was going on during the previous night's events, mostly due to the corruptive programming Vanny and Afton had stuck in their heads.
After all, they were built to entertain and love children, not hurt, least of all KILL them.
"What is this place?" Gregory asked, ignoring everyone around him as he gazed in wonder at the sleek, white/sliver walls of Chaldea. The walls of his new home and quite frankly, it was a hell of a lot better than living in some damn cardboard on the street.
What?
He was an eight, almost nine-year-old kid that had been living on the streets after running away from a foster home, then mind controlled by an evil old child killer, what do you expect?
"You don't say." Bruce commented dryly, looking vaguely amused, "I would have never guessed, like father, like son. So tell me, are you going to pull off some amazing magic tricks or turn into a giant, sliver skinned monster with Mr. Fantastic's stretching ability?"
Tony gave Bruce an odd look, "Magic, sliver skin monster and stretching ability? Okay, so ghosts exist, i can somewhat understand that but, not like i have very much a choice now, but magic? Are you for real? I mean sure, what i saw was beyond amazing and fantastic but i wouldn't call it magic per say. Just because we haven't seen it before doesn't automatically mean it's some sort of supernatural thing. This isn't the dark ages, it's the twenty first century."
"He doesn't know?" Bruce asked, looking at Xero, as he nodded a little with a sigh.
"Yeah, uh, just met today." He sighed a little, leaning more weight on his right leg, rather than his left one as it was pretty banged up thanks to Afton's attack and was still mending. Something that did not go unnoticed, "I wasn't lying when i said i am very tired right now, so Gudako, Olga, can you please give him the proof he needs in order to see the truth of our world."
"I know i said you looked like shit, but is it really that bad?" Olga asked, now more concerned than annoyed, as Powder nodded in her sensei's place.
"Oh, you have no idea. The amount of magic and power sensei threw around was crazy!" The blue haired girl said, throwing wild jesters around to show her point, "And that wasn't even including the fact Afton somehow found himself a Siphoning crystal of all things!"
"What?" Olga narrowed her eyes, "As in an actual Siphoning crystal? A real one? Are you certain?"
"It was the real deal alright." Vitch answered, "I had planned to use one myself on our dear husband before he defeated me and color me surprised when the old bastard actually had one in his grubby hands."
"Beat him?" Tony questioned but went ignored.
"As much as i hate to say it, she is right." Morgan confirmed, when Olga looked at her, "The crystal took quite a bit of my husband's mana before he destroyed it. I do not know how or where he acquired it, but it does not bode well for us."
Olga almost slapped her face, of fucking course, when Xero was involved, nothing was ever simple.
Ever.
"It was-"
THUMP
Xero suddenly felt all his muscles contract and go slack, his monition causing him to nearly fall flat on his face had Tamamo not caught him before he could fall.
"Father!" Vi blurted the word out without thinking, all but rushing to her sensei/father's side. as did Powder as the Caster class Servant gentle lifted him back up as he smiled weakly at his daughter in all but blood.
For now, anyway.
"No worries big hands, just, oh Goddess and Twins above fuck me. Guess Afton drained a lot more mana from me then i originally thought. Bloody hell, haven't felt this shitty since i escaped the Inquisition."
"Father?" Tony once again questioned, but mostly latching onto the fact the red/pink haired girl called Xero 'father' but was ultimately ignored, as Tamamo wrapped an arm around her husband and being to gentle carter him off to their shared bed, while saying, "Come on, lets go see Asia and make sure you don't have any internal bleeding or anything of the like."
Who and what is an Asia?
Leaving Gudako behind to deal with their guests, making the red head merely kept her ever-present smile, "So, who's up for some breakfast?"
With Xero and Tamamo
"You know, when we said that we would consider using tranquiller darts on you if you kept on this self-destructive behavior, we really are going to actually start using them on you darling." Tamamo said with a rare serious look on her face, as helped her beloved along. While she could admire his work-ethic, this was getting very ridiculous and tonight, it almost got him killed.
"And very unhealthy too."
Tamamo cast an eye over his body, not at all liking what she was seeing. Her dear husband's had bags growing under his lovely eyes, with his equally lovely head was starting to get tangles and knots. Although she knew this case was very personal to him, for various reasons, but that did not excuse him neglecting his health like this!
It had to stop, NOW!
"And you and i both know, even if you did it wouldn't work on me." Came his sassy replay, as the fox woman smiled a little, happy to see he still had some spunk after enduring such a harsh trail.
"Maybe, but..." Tamamo's hot breath was sudden half an inch away from his ear, as she spoke in a very sexy tone of voice, "... there are other ways i can 'trying' you out, my darling and believe me, that option is VERY tempting. It is both a Servant and a wife's duty to ensure her beloved doesn't get himself killed because he was too stubborn to take a nap."
Oh, she meant THAT kind of trying out.
"I do not believe that is a good idea, mother Tamamo." A new voice cut in, as a small figured rounded the corner. It was another young girl, wearing a simple black dress, with a small, gold cross laying on her chest. Her most distinguishing feature was her long black with two bangs going down her smooth skin, reaching down to her knee's, pale skin, a cute face and her duel-colored eyes; the right side green while the left was purple.
Amythest purple color.
"Come father, let me see the damage." Spoke Xero's only blood daughter, Asia Mazoku, formerly known as Asia Argento.
At The White House, Oval Office 8:02 AM
"I see, well, that quite a lot to take in Leon." President Ellis Graham didn't know what to say or even think at the moment, as he leaned back in his seat, his mind spinning with all the information he was given. He wasn't the only one, as various people were in the oval office, wanting to know exactly WHY there was a massive crater, where the once proud Freddy Fazbear Mega Pizza-Plex once stood.
Ya knows, the kind of thing that is not only newsworthy but is the kind of thing that can send the people into a panic if not handled correctly. Words like 'bombings' and 'terrorists attack' or anything like that tended to winding people up into a frenzy is a very, very bad thing. Panic meant fear, fear meant anger and anger can lead to violence. The fact it wasn't even a terrorist attack meant nothing, as many groups would be more then willing to take credit, even if it was simply an entertainment joint for people, the aftermath of what was left behind would certainly be a show of power.
It's one thing to destroy a massive building but to completely and utterly vaporize it, was nothing but a show of terrifying power. After all, if they could do that to the Mega Pizza-Plex, who's to say they couldn't do it elsewhere.
A place with more people and a lot more things to destroy.
In the Oval office, there were the members of President Ellis's cabinet, general Ross, general Hager, the director the CIA Geroge Mcgrath, another four-star general, Secretary of Defense Wilson, the president advisor, which was funny enough also named Ryan Venable, Leon, Patrick, Shen May and of course, Jason.
Damn, there were a lot of Ryan's names around here.
Needless to say, the room was very, very crowded and everybody wanted to say something but only one was allowed to speak.
"Yeah, and that's not even the tip of the iceberg." The blonde man leaned back into his seat, "Zee basically gave everyone a blank check to come to Chaldea to explain everything that we just saw in order to make sense of the cluster fuck we just saw. Seeing what we saw at Fazbear, really makes you wonder; how many more victims did Afton actually have and how many more will take up the reins of his dark legacy and how many more have become like the original band members of Freddy's? Soulless machines with tormented souls trapped inside the metal, trapped in a never-ending cycle of pain."
It was indeed a valid question, one that worried many and that last bit made it sound so much worse.
"And if what this Charlie person said is true, then Xero is the only who can put those who have died to rest and stop these 'Twisted Ones'." The president said with a furrow brow, deep in thought on how to procced with all this information.
"But how can we be certain that this is true?" Wilson, always the buzzkill, voiced the one question no one wanted to ask, "How do we know this isn't some ploy to draw us all into one place, one location and kill us all with some fancy lights and tricks. Mr. President, if Chaldea turns on us, we would be powerless to stop them as they crushed us, effectively crippling our entire country and leaving it at their and our enemies mercy." He stood up, unwillingly to be shut up this time, "We've had the hacking on our systems and now this? How do we know we can trust him? How can we be sure that all of this, everything that has happened, isn't part of some master plan that monster has created in order to get closer to the highest figures of authority in our government to not only kill us all but us the ensuring chaos for whatever reason he might have. Hell, how are we sure that, that man isn't secretly working with the Los llluminados the entire time and either had some kind of fall out or worse, some sort of power play?!"
"Because that's not how he works." Leon said simply, making all eyes turn to him, "Ellis, i have worked with Xero and Gudako on several occasions on missions concerning BOW's and any form of the T-virus. Along with taking down several criminal syndicates and while they had their own reasons, but they helped me take them down, nevertheless. The very least we can do is at least give them the benefit of the doubt."
"Agreed." The president said, much to the disapproval of many but couldn't argue with Leon's valid reasoning.
"I don't mean to impose sir, but how exactly did you meet those two, Leon?" Patrick asked, unable to see any reason why those three would met under friendly terms.
After getting a wordless nod from the president, Leon smiled a little, "That, Patrick, is a very strange tale."
Flashback
Leon was in a bind, seeing no way out without suffering some major consequences in the process. He had just found the president's daughter, Ashely, thankfully only a little roughed up but alright. Naturally, there was quite a bit of stiff resistance between him and his young charge, as to be expected but what he didn't expect was the sudden monsters appearing.
When Leon took this job on, entering the isloated village, he expected a lot of things.
But what he didn't expect was for particular everyone to be on the kidnapping of the president daughter, nor did he expect them to be some kind of mutated monster things. After killing more than a hundred (Or what felt like it) the special agent was finally able to find Ashely and get her free and was moving to the extraction point but thanks to the storm, it was well outside this twisted village.
Now here he was, surronding by new enemies, all incoming with several deadly weapons and he, running low on ammo with only five bullets left and his trusty knife, with Ashely sticking close back to him.
"Goddamn, it's going to take a miracle to save us now."
But this wasn't a video game, movie or some cartoon; when the hero is conroner and help suddenly arrives. That's not how real life worked-
CRACK
RUMBLE
The sound of thunder rumbling and cracking in the cloudy sky got Leon's attention, as Ashely stuck even closer to him and it was because of that fact alone, is what saved her from a very bad hair day.
CRACK-KA BOOM
Black and red lightening surged from the sky, crashing down on the ground, slaughtering the infected people left and right. The lightening burned so hot, it cut clean through the infected villagers, leaving behind burning wounds and burnt blood, unable to stain the ground with the infected blood of the Las Plaga parasite.
The non-infected duo's eyes widen in shock (Pun very much intended) and before they could even blink, let alone following the blinding light, or shielding their eyes from the brightness, it was over. The lightening attack kicked up a lot of dust, blanketing the arena in a thin fog of dirt, preventing Leon and Ashley to see in front of them.
"Tap, tap, tap, tap."
Even if their ears were still ringing at the very ear drum busting sound and their sight was lost for a moment, both blondes could hear and see someone coming out of the dust fog, then a voice from within it spoke, "Got to say, you're either very brave for willing to walk into this den of vipers, stupid, delusional fool with thoughts of grander for coming alone to face these monsters or merely someone trying to save an innocent from this hellish nightmare simply because it's the right thing to do. So, tell me, which one are you?" Finally, both Ashely and Leon were able to see just who caused the sudden lighting strike.
For one, it wasn't just one person but two people and a very, very, VERY big wolf that looked like some kind of ghost wolf.
The man, the one who Leon assumed was the one that used the lighting to save his and Ashely's bacon, wore a black, tattered cloak with his hood was pulled up, covering his masked face, one that resembled a sleek sliver skull face, the one you saw from the game Dishonored, with glowing red eyes. To top it off, the newcomer wore some kind of sliver metal armor on his arms, inscribed in some sort of langue Leon couldn't tell. The armor only seemed to cover half of his arms, as Leon could see some of the man's pale skin just below his arms. On his belt, was a black belt with sliver chains on it and a equally sliver wolf belt buckle that were attached to a pair of black pants and to finish it off, he wore a pair of black combat boots.
Standing behind the newcomer really caught the blonde's eye and caused his young charge to fearfully step back and why wouldn't it?
In the past few hours, Leon had seen all kinds of monsters but the large wolf behind the hooded man made the infected people look like a tiger cub. For one, the wolf was much, MUCH larger than regular wolves, with its fur looking like an eternal blue flame to it with a pair of twisted golden eyes that reflected the fires of Hell itself. The great beast also had old, iron shackles around its ankles and its rider was clad in armor, but it stood out the most.
Why?
Because first and foremost, the armored rider not only looked like a knight of old but more importantly, it had no head. You heard of the tale of the headless horseman in those old Halloween stories, right? Well, that is what Leon was seeing right now and judging by the look of shock/fear on Ashely's face, he wasn't seeing things or being blinded by the smoke or tricked by the light.
The rider was most certainly headless and was really here.
"What the hell is with today? As if the mutant villagers and monsters weren't bad enough, now we've got this?" Leon really began to think Fate or some other form of higher being up there was fucking with him, cause clearly, no one luck was this bad.
"And you are?" Leon finally asked, not really aiming Sliver Ghost at the newcomer but not lower it either, "I assume you haven't killed us yet because you aren't with the Los Iluminados cult, so why are you out here in the middle of nowhere? Unless you're out here to roast marshmallows or something."
"Is that what they're called?" The newcomer asked, titling his head, "I guess there are worse names out there, personally i would have voted for 'The fucked up, milky white eyed, dump-shit moron cult' but, eh it doesn't really off the tongue ya know. And sorry but i already ate all the marshmallows i brought with me, but i can go get some more if you like."
Despite the situation, Ashely found herself giggling a little at this comment as Leon smirked a little, "Nice to see someone has a good sense of humor, especially out here."
"Oh yeah. I mean, i try to lighten the mood, be nice to these weird eyed assholes and they're all 'Ragh!' 'Grrr' and just when i think i've had enough of the snarls, this one asshole comes at me with a chainsaw and bags over his head. And the only thing i can say is: 'Are you a damn cultist member of are you audition for a cheesy slasher film?' You know, the ones with the killer having a bag over his head and using a chainsaw, chasing the stereotypical teenagers around? But that's not important, what is important is why is an agent of the American government and the president daughter here in this particular hellhole on this shitty side of the world?"
"I could ask you the same thing, masked strange suddenly shows up out of nowhere and kills these twisted fucks, saving us in the process? Why do it?"
The masked man simply looked at Leon for a couple of seconds before answering, "These dipshits made the terrible mistake of attempting to kidnap Lady Yasaka's daughter. I help stop it and now, i'm here to put an end to this cult. How about you?"
Flashback End
"Lady Yasaka?" Ellis mused over the name in his head, having to be familiar with many people high up in various governments around the world in order to maintain the peace between nations, "I have never heard anyone by that name."
"Neither have i. Xero didn't say who it was and i didn't ask, only deciding that he was our best bet in getting off the island." Leon leaned forward, eyes hard as he looked directly at Ross, "And let me tell you this, general, Xero liked Yasaka enough to completely destroy the island and Valdelobos, where his castle was located in Spain...in just one attack. So, if i were you, I'd think twice about pissing him off."
At The Triskelion, 8:52 AM
"And you're sure this isn't some kind of trap?"
Fury rolled his one good eye at the oh so important World Security Council's so-called concerns, while he stood in Pierce's office. God, did he hate politics and those who thrived on them, especially when they felt the need to ask dumb questions, "Trap or not, we have a very, VERY powerful, unknown enhanced running around. One that is connected to a mysterious organization that we only know by name and reputation alone. No matter how many times we tried to acquire information on them or send agents after any possible known members, we come up with nothing. Now, that same powerful enhanced has basically invited us to his front doorstep, ready to open their doors and let us in without a fight, trap or not, this is an opportunity we cannot pass up."
And getting a very powerful ally was simply a nice bonus as well.
"Nick is right." Thankfully, Pierce had enough sense to see reason and support Fury wholeheartedly, "As it stands, we have little to no information about this Mazoku person, aside from rumors, hearsay and the reports from the BSAA on their missions that end up wiping out entire villages. Even then, in the reports all it said was 'the Villages were beyond contaminated' and was thus given the order to be purged. The method on how however was not mentioned and the only thing it said was it was left in the hands of their liaison between their organization and Chaldea. We are in uncharted waters ladies and gentlemen; the battle at the Mega Pizza-Plex just showed up this Mazoku person and even one known as The Fire Angel are capable of, along with their allies and i have a feeling, we've barely scratched the surface. We've made deals with the devil before when in times of crisis and with what little we know, what these people can do is something we cannot be left in the dark about. God only knows how many more are out with their capabilities and who know what else is out there, thigs we do not know about, let alone equipped to deal with. Now is the time, for us to open the gates and let the devils inside, rather then burying our heads in the sand and waiting to see what happens next."
That caused the meeting room to delve into silence at the implications of it all. They'd seen the footage that some of the SHEILD agents were able to capture, if not at the start at the fight but the major parts of it and the ending. It was beyond anything they've seen in the past few years, with only Bruce Banner aka the Hulk being able to pull of such feats in pure destruction.
That wasn't even including what they knew about known mutants like Charles Xavier, his X Men, Magento and of course, his Brotherhood. Now a, what one could call, a third fraction had appeared to make both groups look like wet behind the ears recruits was a very terrifying thought to the WSC.
"Then again, i suppose their skepticism is understandable, as those who know about Chaldea are very tight lipped about it." And the fact Chaldea actually had more authority and were ABOVE the members of the World Security Council in terms of said authority, meaning they didn't answer to them pissed them off something fierce, Fury thought with a silent chuckle.
But it also worried him too.
The World Security Council was created to oversee SHEILD, to make sure they didn't go too far with their own authority and seeing as they were a spy agency, tasked with keeping the world safe, their authority can be easily abused. But the fact SHEILD wasn't even allowed to see the files on Chaldea, did cause Fury's normal paranoia to ware its head.
While nobody told them anything about Chaldea or what went on in there, aside from the fact it was also created to protect humanity's future, no one was stopping them from spying on its two agents or actually approaching them to, ya know, ask. Something SHEILD wouldn't normally do with so little information on them but with the way things are going, SHEILD would have to put their pride aside and ask directly.
Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest.
"Then we-"
RING~
RING~
RING~
Suddenly, alarms started ringing out, cutting off the councilwoman, as Pierce's computer suddenly started up with a "Breaking News" broadcasting on the news. Unlike most computers, all of SHEILD's systems were keyed into opening automatic breaking news stories like this one, to ensure they did not miss any kind of news that could fall under their jurisdiction.
While it was rare, some things did slip through the cracks, and they needed to keep up with such things.
As such, when the blank screen behind Fury and Pierce lite up with news and the title "Breaking News" it surprised none of them that it actually happened. As the screen turned to two news hosts, Lester Holt and Harris Faulkner.
"Good morning, i'm Lester Holt." A dark-skinned man with a near balding head and glasses on his face spoke with a smile, as his co-host, an equally dark-skinned female with shoulder length brown hair and eyes, spoke.
"And i'm Harris Faulkner. And today, we've got quite the wakeup call." As she spoke, a new caption replaced the Breaking News one, replacing it with the words "MONSTERS AMONG US?" "Barely a day old, barely twelve hours old and a new viral video is spreading across the web. One that has made everyone question: Do monsters exists and are they among us?"
"Aside from the obvious ones, like tax collectors?" Holt joked, getting a laugh from his co-host.
"I suppose that's true but thanks to this video, uploaded by an anonymous source who wishes to remain that and i for one, believe we should let them. After all, they risked life, limb and very possible, they're very soul to get us this shocking video."
"Indeed. To those at home with young children, i suggest you take them away, for the video you are about to see, is not only shocking but very disturbing on several levels." Finishing his peace, the screen changed to show the new viral video, revealing it to be the fight between Xero and Afton at the Mega Pizza-Plex.
The WSC, Pierce and Fury could only stare at it for a second, before the dark skinned man finally spoke what they were all thinking.
"Fuck."
All over the US, various people watched the new report with shocked and amazed eyes. Unknown to SHEILD or anyone else, this video had been uploaded to the Cloud, so it would spread all over the world, showing EVERYONE what truly happened to the famous Mega Pizza-Plex. As the video went viral, all across the world and would be known as "The Devil of Freddy Fazbear Vs. The Grim Reaper of Chaldea" for years to come, many people watched it. Ranging from the average joes to the corporate CEO's, to common criminals and yes, even conspiracies nutjobs and the like.
In the US anyway.
In several countries, people ranging from the poorest, even the homeless ones to the very rich watched with interest. That also included those who had been indirectly helped by Chaldea and the BSAA or had been directly hurt by the two, namely Xero. Many criminal cartels and organizations who had been personally hit by the Magus, some survivors of several criminal groups that had been butchered by him, were making plans to turn this to their advantage.
Others, people not at all effected by either Chaldea or the BSAA directly however, like a certain organization known simply as The Facility, were making their own plans for the Magus, who had taken their wayward weapon. Others groups like The Facility, were planning to find a way to acquire the Magus and use him for their own ends. Both in the US and all over the world, including a certain Think-Tank and a growing terrorists group.
Several organizations and groups, many of them not very nice and were more than willingly to force the issue, we're planning on having Xero 'join' their groups for his powerful electrokinesis ability.
And not in a good way either.
But they weren't the only ones watching these events transpire.
Asgard Bifrost, 10:12 AM, Earth Time
Unknown to everyone on Earth, high above the sky, deep within space, lied an ancient civilization.
One that has stood for more than a thousand years, since the beginning of the universe. One that has been at the center of many myths in Mankind's history known simply as, Asgard, Old Norse Ásgardr. In Norse mythology, the dwelling place of the gods, comparable to the Greek Mount Olympus. Legend divided Asgard into 12 or more realms, including Valhalla, the home of Odin and the abode of heroes slain in earthly battle; Thrudheim, the realm of Thor; and Breidablik, the home of Balder.
Asgard is a small, planetary body that serves as home to the Asgardians, a race of beings recognized by humans on Earth as the deities of Norse mythology, such as Thor and Odin. It is not round like the Earth, does not spin on its axis, and does not revolve around a star. It is a flat, asteroid-like mass that has a top surface with a gravitational pull, similar to that of the Earth, in order to keep the citizens and their cities from floating into the void.
There are natural nexus portals that exist on Asgard, due to deposits of the wormhole-sensitive, crystal-like material used in the construction of the Bifrost Bridge. These portals are in direct contact with the roots of Yggdrasil, a tree-like cosmic grid that connects the Nine Realms. Heimdall operates and safeguards the Bifrost Bridge from Himinbjorg. The Asgardian government operates through a strict monarchy which separates the royal family from regular Asgardians.
Asgardians have a reputation as peacekeepers throughout the Nine Realms. The first known instance of Asgard's maintenance of intergalactic peace was the First Dark Elf Conflict during the Convergence of the Realms. Asgard's king, Bor, fought to prevent the Dark Elves, led by their king Malekith, from using the Aether to revert the universe to its previous state of darkness. The Asgardian army successfully put a stop to Malekith's campaign and many believed them to be dead and gone forever.
The current king of Asgard, Odin Allfather, now ruled with releam enternal as a wise and strong king.
The city of Asgard is now a collection of elaborate buildings and intricate spires. Seemingly built into the rock, large structures with sweeping terraces top many of the cliffs; gleaming pyramids, statues, and columns surround Odin's palace - Valhalla, a many-tiered structure resembling a towering pipe organ - at the center of the city. Another notable feature in Asgard is the Bifrost Bridge, which provides passage to all the Nine Realms, but can only be opened if permitted by its guardian, Heimdall. It also includes Odin's Vault which contains many powerful and ancient artifacts, including the Casket of Ancient Winters, which was taken in the last war between Asgard and the Forst Giants. Additionally, it is where the Hall of Asgard, where all important public events take place presided over by Odin, is located; colorful ceremonial banners of the Nine Realms adorn the vast chamber during celebrations, in which the hall is crowded with Aesir and representatives from across Yggdrasil.
We now turn our gaze to the Biforst.
Heimdall the Gatekeeper to the entrance to the realm eternal, Asgard and the Guardian of the Biforst, watched the events happening at the Mega Pizza-Plex with his all-seeing eye. Heimdall was a tall, dark skinned man with orange eyes that flickered with magical power and wore golden armor with a equally golden helmet. In his hands was the key to using the Biforst, a massive claymore like sword with blue magic flowing through its blade.
Among his duties as the Gatekeeper, keeping an ever-watchful eye out for any and all dangers to his home, Heimdall from time to time, peered into other worlds. With his all-seeing eyes, he was able to watch the events transpire in those words, as if he himself was standing in their presence and right now, at this very moment, the mighty Asgardian watched The Great Defender of Midgard defeat his advisory.
Mr. Afton aka the Spring-Trap.
Hearing footstep approaching from behind, the dark-skinned man didn't even turn to see who it was, "Is there something you need, my prince?" Because with his eyes, he knew it was the first-born son, Thor Odinson. "Heimdall, what news on Midgard?" Like him, Thor was a very tall, well-built man, standing at a proud 6'4 foot tall, with straw like blonde shoulder length hair, electric blue eyes and a growing beard. He was clad in his usually armor. Black armor padding covering his torso, with chainmail sleeves and of course, the red cape on the back.
"Aside from the usual rumblings of day-to-day life, nothing." The gate keeper said in a stoic tone of voice, not even turning to face the Odin-son, "However, you might be interested in hearing that the Guardian of Midgard has defeated yet another monster, one unlike we have ever seen." It was no secret in Asgard that when Midgard was covered in flames by the King of the Demon God Pillars that it was a pair of young Seidhr's that had waged war against the demon king to not only save their world from him but defeat his 72 demon pillars and the monster himself.
The fact he summoned four the fallen Valkyries to his side also gained a lot of attention from Asgard but seeing what he was doing, Odin decided to just sit back and see how this plays out.
His son, Thor however had much different ideas and wanted to keep an eye on the Seidhr's. Namely, the one who used lighting, his father given power no less and honestly, Heimdall wonder if the first born would go to Midgard soon to meet the Seidhr's.
"Truly?" Thor's face lite up in excitement "Tell me more my friend."
But whether that was a coming to them as a friend or a rival, was up in the air.
Peru Amazonian Jungle
Deep within the wilds of the Peru jungle, a man hunted his prey, being ever careful not to make a noise. For the prey he was hunting was a dangerous beast, one that has successfully hunted down the most dangerous creatures in the world with little to no effort on his part.
By that, i mean, despite the danger, this beast was able to defeat these dangerous creatures with ease.
But no matter how powerful, strong, resourceful or smart a creature may be, age was always a factor to consider. Nothing stayed young forever (Ha, if only he knew) and sooner or later, age caught up with everyone.
Even HIM.
That's why he was hunting, for he has held the title as "The Hunter" long enough. It was time for a new champion, a new Hunter to take his crown and what better way to do that, then to claim it via a successful hunt. This caused the dark skinned man to chuckle darkly. Yes, having His head on his wall, as his first trophy would certainly be the perfect debut.
CRACK
The hunter furrowed his brows, upon hearing that familiar sound of a branch snapping, his gaze snapping up and upon seeing a shadowy figure, he smirked. Pulling his knife out, he creeped closer to the figure, mockingly speaking as he did so, "You've grown slow in your old age, Sergei." Then with a quick lung, he stabbed the figure... only to go wide eyed at seeing nothing but a sliver pelt. What, but how-
"A fate, you will not share." Spoke the deadliest hunter in the world, Kraven the Hunter, starling the younger man but he didn't show it, as the much larger man was right behind him.
Stopping only for a second, the younger man attempted to backhand/slash at Kraven, only for the larger man to easily dodge, grabbing his arm and neck, lifting him up the ground, much to the younger one's horror, "I have been in your shadows for HOURS! And yet you sensed, NOTHING?! Angry hiss, Pathetic." Kraven tighetn his grip on this failure's of a hunter's neck, making him grow red in the face from a lack of oxgeyn and then.
SNAP
Snapped his neck and with a disappointed sigh, threw him away like yesterday garbage.
Ignoring the now dead man, Kraven cast a look over his shoulder, seeing his men slowly approaching, making the man even angrier even if he didn't show it, "I asked for an equal." The fact his would be equal not only didn't sense him or his men made him wonder if those fools thought so lowly of him or if he was truly that good.
Finding someone that could rival him, that could KILL him in a fair, one on one fight in skill and strength would be a difficult endeavor but Kraven never imaged it would be THIS difficult.
Slowly, one of them approached him, holding an iPad in his hand, "Apologies sir, but perhaps we have found you a new prey, worthy of your attention." The man booted it up, showing a certain new YouTube that was already reaching a thousand views.
Originally, Kraven wasn't interested and only gave it a once over but as the video went on, as the fight between the two armored beasts keep raging on with the video barely keeping up with the duo, Kraven felt something stir in his heart, as an evil grin begin to form on his face.
Hope.
Excitement.
Anticipation.
For the first time, in a very long time, Kraven was seeing something he'd long sought for; a worthy prey, a worthy rival, AN EQUAL!
This man, this BEAST...this is EXACTLY what he was looking for. Someone, something worthy to rival him in skill, strength, intelligence and was a clear killer. Someone worthy to take his final breath, to parade his corpse for all to see that he had killed him, while his body became maggot food. Kill or be killed that is the way of the world. The ONLY way to live.
The strong trample over the weak and Kraven would not allow God to decide how he dies.
Not on a sick bed, while his body withering by a sickness that God decided to give the greatest hunter in the world.
No.
Kraven would not die an old man, strapped to a bed while his body betrayed him. No, he Sergei Kravinoff would die in a glorious battle, against a even greater hunter and nothing, not even God himself will take that away from him. As the fight continued on, the two creatures on the screen fighting like demons, like their lives depended on it, it only confirmed Karven's new goal.
"Light the fires and have our men began searching." Kraven said to his subordinate, as the man nodded, walking off to do as he was told, while Kraven grinned in excitement, "The great hunt begins."
His Final hunt.
San Fransico, San Quentin State Prison
"Well, well seems Lilith's son is just as if not even more dangerous then the old bitch herself."
The serial killer known as Cletus Kasady watched the news report with an amused smile in his face, as he watched the news report from the confines of his small cell. The entire thing making him crackle and laugh as it went on, "Oh yeah, he's Lilith's son alright and it will make it all the sweeter to see the life leave his eyes."
Despite watching the video from beginning to end, that would normally make a person think twice about going after the Magus, Cletus did not feel fear. If nothing else, he felt a surge of excitement and glee flow through his veins as he watched the son of the woman who put him in this hell-hole, rather than giving him the sweet release of death.
Now, her son would have to pay the price for her own arrogance.
He chuckled darkly, as the camera focused up on the younger man's face, "I do hope he is a strong as the video makes him out to be. Be a real shame for him to die so easily." No, a quick death was not in the cards for the Mazoku and Cletus had every intention of making the young man suffer for his mother's sins, "I do hope you are prepared."
Because when he got out of here, There's Going To Be Cranage.
Japan, City Of Kyoto
"Mother! Mother, did you see that, Pa-Xero did it! He beat him."
"Yes he did dear, yes he did."
In the city of Kyoto, hidden away in plain sight from human eyes, was the Youkai city of Kyoto and in the palace was it's leader of both the city and leader of the Youkai Association, Yasaka. By her side, was her now nine-year-old daughter, Kunou.
Yasaka was by no means a normal Youkai but a Kyuubi no kitsune or in simpler terms, a Nine Tailed Fox.
Yasaka has both a human form and a fox form. In her human form, she appears as a young woman with a voluptuous figure and very long blonde hair with matching eyes. She is a woman with delicate facial features and her eyebrows are cut very short and round a symbol of nobility. Her hair is usually tied in a loose ponytail, reaching all the way down to her legs that ends in a spiral, with taut bandages to keep it in place. She usually wears a traditional shrine maiden attire, and over that she wore a white coat held closed by a red ribbon and a golden crown. Atop her head, are two flickering gold kistene ears and nine swaying tails just above her shapely behind.
Kunou looked an awful lot like a younger version of her mother, complete with a set of her own fox ears and tails.
While Kunou cheered and ran around their room, very much like a child should, her mother had a thoughtful look on her face, as she smiled, "Hmmm, it has been sometime since we've been to Chaldea and with this little meeting of theirs happening, perhaps i can...help him out. After all, that is what allies do after all."
And her daughter would be delighted to see him again and who knows, maybe the younger hybrid would be willing to become more then just a friend to her daughter. Her near slip up wasn't missed by her mother and it HAS been a while since she dated.
Done.
Boom, betcha weren't expecting a camo appearance from Thor or Cletus, let alone Kraven himself to make an appearance.
Got to be honest with you all, my lovely peeps and peeplips, i was very happy with how the ending of this chapter turned out. Beside from getting some good teasers for future Arc's, i like these little cameo's setting up the future conflicts for Xero and Co.
One that sets him on the path to crossing blades with the world's deadliest hunter and the other, host to the BLOODIEST symbote possible. Well, most blood thirsty symboite but you all get the point. But i like to ask, the REAL question here: How and why did Lilith out Cletus in prison, when she could have easily killed him and for what reason could she have to associate, let alone talk with this grade A psycho?
Yeah, got them brains a thinking don't i?
Guess you've got no choice but to keep reading my story to find out the truth, till next time my ever lovely peeps and peeplips.
Devil out!
