Somewhere deep in 1st layer of thee Abyss, a young 8 year old little blonde hair girl name Riko wears a browm coat with blue jeans and glasses on her face, she encounters a group of humanoid creatures standing in the forest gathering resources for their small campfire. One of them resembles like a human but the others have animal characteristics. One of them haves rabbit-like ears, the other has cat-like feature while the other creature mostly resembled like a human but both arms and legs are covered with fur while the hands are claws and it's knees and legs resembles like hooves. And the other one has a shark-like appearance despite walking on land.

Despite not resembling humans, Riko wasn't frighten by their appearance and introduce them kindly with a warm smile. They were surprised by the girl's courage, showing no fear and view them like ordinary people. In exchange for kindness, they introduced themselves to her.

Nanachi

And the nameless robot who happens to have no name.

Nanachi is the one with rabbit-like ears, save for a long sturdy tail, horizontally slanted pupils, carnivorous teeth and human-like hair; which is straight and cream-white in a short bobbed style. In contrast, medium tan fur covers the rest of the humanoid, with light tan covering the insides of their ears and belly. She haves a blush-like spot on each cheek; which has two thick whiskers protruding sideways. Other animal traits include a cat-like mouth with little fangs, yellow eyes with horizontal oval shaped pupils (similar to a goat's) and erect bunny ears. Her fingers have rather unusual stubby.

She wears attire consists solely of gray-green, baggy, drop-crotch harem pants, with dark-pink hip-bags on both sides, red pant legs, exposing the torso.

Mitty has cat-like ears on her head that are pointed out and tan blush like spot with whiskers on her face. Her body, hands and toes are covered by white pinkish fur and has four claws each

Her hair was reddish in color, long, and messy, sticking out at random angles. Some of it seemed to be tied up into a messy ponytail on the back of her head. Just like Nanachi, she wears saggy crotch drop-harem pants that are blue but expose the torso.

Faputa's upper arms, and upper torso are dark in color. Her hair is long and feathery. Fluffy white fur covers her rabbit-like ears, forearms, legs, and lower body, starting at her hips. One of her most noticeable traits is her four arms which Riko noticed. On each of her hands are 3 large red claws, which act as fingers, with the forth and fifth folded away.

Red claw like protrusions are also on her hair, her knees, and the ends of her feet, similar to hooves.

Her eyes are yellow with large, rounded pupils. Behind her are 5 tails, which spread out like a fan.

Sharkulo has a shark-like appearance, but he has a smooth blue human-skin, blue fin on his back while he has smaller fins connected to his arms. Has sharp claws on both hands and legs, he has blue hair and a thin tail. Just like the rest of the group, he can stand and walk. But unlike the rest of the group, just like Faputa he too doesn't wear any clothes.

Finally, a humanoid that hugely resemble a human but it seems he resembled like a robot.

He has light brown skin and dark hair. His ears are slightly pointed. His eyes are yellow, and his pupils are catlike, vertical slits. There are two red patches of skin on his cheeks, and four more on either side of his rib cage. His eyebrows are small and gray. Though he is a robot, the only parts of him that appear to be mechanical are his arms and legs, which are bulky compared to the rest of his body. He wears purple pants are baggy and stop just below his knees. The buckle of his belt resembles an eye with a long slit.

Due to Riko's youth, she befriends with them all out of pure curiosity. They would often play with her, teach her new important skills and communicate with one another.

After those wonderful fun time she spends with them, she has to leave for return to home, but promises them that she'll return.

Throughout the days or weeks, she would often bring them food, give them small gifts and small tools they need that can only be found outside of the Abyss. There bond has gotten very strong everyday and developed a new friendship. But the ones with the stronger bond the most is Riko and the robot child. A month later, when the three Narehates ventures to another area of the 1st layer of the Abyss to find more resources, Reg was put in charge of guarding their small treehouse. He's also in charge of protecting Riko from any danger due to her current age on that time. The two would spend time together and would chat together to build their friendship even more. Despite having no name, Riko decided to think of a name for the robotic boy.

Throughout the week, Riko would think and think of a name for her robotic friend until she thought a name. She kindly reveal the name to give the robot child which he was surprised.

Reg

The reason for naming him was because she used to have a dog named Reg but unfortunately he passed away 2 years ago. It wasn't easy feeling sadness after the loss of her beloved pet but Reg was all she could think of. At first, the robotic boy wasn't fond being named after a dog but if it makes Riko happy and honor her deceased dog's name then why not. He accepted the name and felt like his bond with Riko has grown stronger even more. After the end of the week, the three Narehates return from their scouting for more resources, but three brought familiar friends but only Reg would recognize them. But these new faces never seen nor met Riko, while Riko never seen them before.

At first, Reg and the three Narehates grew worry if Riko would be shy and hide behind them but Riko somehow wasn't shy or nervous with the new faces and happily greeted them. Riko introduces herself to the two sheep-eared twins, a bird-like humanoid with pink hair, half snake and half bull figure and other friendly humanoid beings.

Faputa and the rest would later discover that Riko have named their robotic friend after a dog. They laugh out of amusement but accepted the name Riko have given him.

A month later has passed, their homemade treehouse has been destroyed by the terrible weather which shocked the whole group. When Riko comes to their hideout, she see all of the group sitting near the campfire with a frown on their face.

Riko would discover their home has been destroyed and they have no place to protect themselves from danger or a place to keep them worm or sleep.

It was hard seeing them look gloomy throughout the days, she tried her best by getting her book from her small bag and a pencil to write the blueprints. But due to her current age, she's not well at making blueprints and the treehouse design looks inaccurate.

But then, she remembered something that could help her dearest friends. The next day, she brought them an actual blueprint that shows the details and instructions of making a house. But the design appears to be a small house that has only one wide room. She gave them instructions and help the entire group by making their new house.

It took weeks to make a house, chopping off woods as a primary task, cutting off into pieces and make details as part of house like a door or floorboards, while those who have the ability to create sticky substance (Faputa is one of them) is a perfect role to stick the crafted woods together while Reg help hold the giant walls.

After their long days, they've finaly finished builing the house that took 4 days thanks to the huge numbers of the group. They were shocked by their new home. Once they entered their new home, they relaxed from the hard work and rest on the floor. The floor doesn't bother them but they don't Riko to sleep on the floor uncomfortably, Faputa let's Riko sleep on top of Faputa's fluffy tail that's open like a fan while it act as a pillow to the human child. And for Reg, he would sleep right next to her as the entire group finally rest in peace happily. Riko would soon realize she's not alone anymore, she made new friends and stay together with them forever.

Until...

About 2 years later, Riko hasn't been visiting frequently as the group grew extremely worried. Days later, Riko returns to meet to Reg and the group but their are something different about her. Reg and the rest discovers Riko's appearance suddenly change. She's a bit taller as her height reach Reg and his friends, she wears a some sort of brown cave raiding outfit with a light brown helmet with a light attach to it. But they notice she has something wrapped around her neck, she's wearing a red colored whistle. At first, they were a bit cautious towards Riko but as long as that's the Riko they know then their friendship with her is still pure. Even though Riko brings them things, she doesn't visit them often and always visits them for 3 days a week.

But their time together with Riko has come to an end.

When years come into years, Riko became a full-fledged adult. Her outfit appears to be the same size that could fit her and she wears a different helmet with a pink feather attach to it. She visited her childhood friends to give them a giant feast, she brought food, drinks and utensils to use. For Reg and the Narehates, they assume it was a celebration of their friendship with her for years but for Riko... it was her final visit. She watches eating the food she brought while she remember the time she spent with and their strong friendship they have formed. But she also know it's time for her to say her goodbyes, she left the group one last time without looking back. Leaving Reg and his friends puzzled, leaving them to fend for themselves once again and find food on their own.

Unless...

They waited for Riko instead, hopefully she'll return again, they waited from days to weeks to almost at the end of the month. The group didn't find any food and the primeval creatures are not found near in sight. They waited and waited until they became to weak to move and their body has become pale and skinny.

Until one day, the cold snowstorm headed the 1st layer. All the food are completely gone and all the creatures have hibernated while the humanoids enter their home without any food or water to feed for themselves. During the time past, the group become hungrier and weaker, despite Reg is a robot, he still needs food to store more energy in order to scout any food as possible and feed his starving friends. But there's not a single fruit to find or encountering any primeval creatures.

Reg couldn't venture down the 1st layer leaving his friends defenseless in their weaken state. He always stay alongside all of his precious friends as their body slowly shows nothing but skin and bones. Reg was devastating seeing his friends dying from starvation as he couldn't do anything but watch as he sits close to his friends helplessly.

Until one day, when Reg was wandering in the nearby forest while the cold snow storm blocked the entire area, he found 2 dead bodies laying around on the ground rotting. These two oversized male bodies died from natural causes. At first, Reg was going to ignore the bodies and return searching for food, but he realizes from the past weeks, there's not a single animal or fruits found nearby. This led him to finally decided to take the two bodies with his robotic arms.

At that night, Reg brought two decaying corpses in their shelter, the group were shocked seeing dead bodies in front of them. Reg made terrifying decision which he was hesitant about, he told his friends in order for survival they must... consume the human corpses in order to satisfy their hunger. Faputa and the rest were against Reg's decision but they soon knew they're going to die without eating something in order to survive.

The Narehates decided they must consume the dead corpses without second thought.

The bodies were later consumed, leaving nothing but bloody bones.

This act has change their lives, this traumatizing experience has led them to become ferocious and craving for human flesh and become something so horrible that they cannot return to their old selves.

They soon develop a strong hatred towards Riko for abandoning them, leaving them to rot.

They locked away their friendship with Riko, then they announce all the layers of the Abyss as their own.

Reg and the Narehates split in multiple groups, moving to different areas of each layers to inhabit. But before they depart their separate ways, they made a promise. A promise that all of them must follow.

Someday, if one of the group has been harm or threaten, all of them will leave their territory and return to the 1st layer and leave the Abyss to cause mayhem.
