Chapter 79: A Parting Surprise

Everyone becomes confused and shocked to hear about the statement.

"Huh? But why?" Sereia asks.

"I mean, wouldn't causing trouble on this scale be grounds for immediate expulsion?" Idia replies.

Suddenly, Epel yells, "You gotta be KIDDING ME!"

"Wha?" Idia reacts, confused.

And Epel points out, "Your people completely wrecked Ramshackle Dorm! You'd better take responsibility and fix it."

"Yeah, that's right! We'd JUST finished patchin' all the leaky spots too!" Grim says.

"They're right. You need to fix all the mess you did," Jasper agrees. "Not to mention your soldiers owe Grim and Briar an apology for kidnapping them."

Rook chuckles, "Heh heh heh. You make a good point. Our SDC reward money will have to go toward repairs now."

"Actually, 50,000 thaumarks wouldn't even begin to cover that amount of damage. I expect you to repair the building entirely," Jamil says.

"Uh... Sure…" Idia replies.

Then Leona says, "And fix up the botanical garden too. That's the best napping spot on campus."

"Naps…..?" Idia questions, but lets out a sigh, "Okay, sure…"

Then Riddle says, "You should also restore the stables and damaged fields."

"I'm pretty sure YOU burned those—" Idia points out. And then says, "You know what? Never mind. I'm not going there," Idia says.

But then Azul says, "You know, we never did finish the game your troops so rudely interrupted. And as I recall, I was winning. You'd better not be trying to cut and run."

"Uh, excuse me? I was definitely winning. Could you NOT rewrite history here?" Idia says.

Vil says, "Anyway, the point is, you have plenty of work left to do on campus. And I expect you to face up to all of it and not run away."

"We'll be seeing you at school," Briar says.

"Ugh, okay. Fine," Idia says.

He remains silent for a little and says, "...See you at school."

Soon, everyone climbs on the chariot. Then the chariot flies away, taking the Night Raven College students back to the school. Now Idia finds himself alone.

Idia sighs and says, "See you at school, huh…"

And then shouts in frustration, "But seriously! They're totally not gonna let me come back! None of those guys listen to a word I say! Ugh, Night Raven College students, am I right?! They're all so vindictive, they'd probably never let me hear the end of it if I welched on that stupid little promise. This SUCKS. They would ve forgotten all about this if the River Lethe was working! Now it's turned into a big hot mess…." And calms down, "Ah."

And then remembers, "…Oh yeah. They're not going to forget any of this, are they? Not what happened here, not that stupid promise... And that's…normal."

He then remembers seeing his brother, Ortho, "Ortho…"

After a moment of silent, Idia says, "Well, I'd better do what I can to fix this mess."

When Idia begins to leave, he notices something shiny on the ground, "Hm? What's that shiny thing?" and begins to approach the strange object, "It's the thing Grim had stuck in his throat…"

Idia then bends down to look at the object and becomes shocked, "BWHA?!" And picks up the object, "It's… What was this doing in Grim's mouth?! How did it…" But Idia decides to calm down and says, "Oh, whatever, I don't even care! With this, there may still be hope!"
