Kyle Singer gets on a helicopter and prepares to leave Afghanistan for good. Kyle feels a little bad leaving his commanding officer behind, but he was given a direct order, and he does want to return to his family.

Vice president G'ulom works late in his office. Soon the Americans will be gone. This operation hadn't gone exactly as planned, but it was enough. G'ulom wished that Razi had killed Samira Noori before he died. Still, G'ulom would have her killed soon enough, possibly when he had president Daoud assasinated. Then, he would finally have the power that he craved. Or so he thought. One of his bodyguards walks into G'ulom's office and shoots him. The last thing he thinks before he dies, is to wonder what went wrong.

Dimitry Utkin is in his helicopter, savoring champagne and listening to news reports from America. It seemed that some of the bombers had been stopped. This undoubtedly means fewer casualties than hoped for, but as long as the American people are afraid, that Keaton can still be manipulated into acting more aggressive. But Dimitry would not see the money from this. His helicopter blew up, killing him and his pilot, he never even knew what happened.

Kim and Nicole continue talking about their mutual fears.

Nicole: Eric is head of field ops at CTU. I always tried to prepare myself for this day, but there's no way of preparing for something like this, is there?
Kim: I guess not. My father worked at CTU, my mom tried to prepare herself. But she ended up being the one who was killed. I blamed my dad, got involved with eco terrorists, and spent over a decade in prison because of it. Jamal, he made his mistakes, but he tried to make amends. He always said he feared what Allah would say on his day of judgement. Now he might find out.
Nicole: I'm about to go to the hospital chapel to pray for Eric. Would you like to join me?
Kim: Yes I would.

Jack and Tony continue driving towards the signal. Even if the bomber in Chicago called the other one, did the other contact this one? It does seem odd that neither one has detonated yet. Maybe they are arrogant enough to think they can get to their targets in time, reverand Adam and his daughter are religious fanatics after all. Hopefully they can use this arrogance to stop them.
