[alternate storyline] Elizabeth is just settling into her new role as Secretary of State and trying to dodge all the hardships that are coming at her-the loss of her friend George, the possible CIA involvement in that death, and so much more. The stress is already starting to get to her, and Henry is worried for her health.

Elizabeth is announced Killed In Action during her tour of duty in Iraq in 2004. But, is that what truly happened? Soon enough, Henry will find out that no it isn't. An expanded version of The People Left Behind.

[pre-Madam Secretary] Elizabeth and Henry are home for Thanksgiving on the farm and grading papers, but Elizabeth is feeling a bit frustrated with her new job title.
