Harry walked down the corridors of Hogwarts feeling alone. His friends were nowhere to be found and the school was pretty much empty since the majority of the students from third year to seventh were in Hogsmeade. He navigated his way through an unfamiliar path after an intense tutoring session with Professor Lupin. He was lost in though and didn't notice another student headed his way.

He collided with the other person and stumbled backwards and landed hard on the ground. He looked up and saw a blonde head also on the ground, her head bowed as she started to gather her books that were scattered on the floor.

"I'm so sorry," Harry said quickly and shuffled forward on his knees to help gather her fallen books.

The blonde smiled softly when she looked up to meet his green eyes, "No harm done. Thanks for the help," she said as she stood up from the stone floor and took her books from Harry's grasp.

Their eyes were locked and in that instant Harry felt something shift inside of him. A warmth spread through him, and he couldn't help but stare at this unknown blonde, drawn to her calm manner.

"I'm Harry," he finally said.

"I'm aware," she said with a wry grin.

"Right," Harry laughed faintly.

"Daphne. Greengrass," she introduced herself.

"Were you headed to the library?" Harry asked once they were both standing, and Daphne had all her books back in her possession.

"Yeah, working on the Defense assignment and Ancient Runes as well."

"Same here," Harry hurried to say he didn't want to leave her yet. He would do almost anything to stay near her. Even do homework.

"I didn't think you were taking Ancient Runes," Daphne smirked. The duo began to move towards the library and Harry blushed.

"I meant Defense. Probably should've taken Runes though. Divination is not fun," he said with a grimace.

Daphne just nodded and the pair continued their trek to the library in silence. Harry just basked in her presence and tried to think of something to say but couldn't come up with anything before they entered the library.

"Want to sit over there?" Daphne asked as she pointed towards the table in the far right back of the library, "It's where I normally sit," she said, and Harry made a mental note to keep an eye out for the beautiful blonde whenever he was in the library.

"Yeah, sounds good."

Later that night Harry sat in the common room and listened to Ron and Hermione tell him all about their trip to Hogsmeade. He probably would have felt jealous but after spending the afternoon with Daphne he was in no rush to go to Hogsmeade as long as the blonde was here at the castle with him.

"What about you Harry, what did you do?" Ron asked after he and Hermione finished their story.

"I met my future wife today," Harry said with a dreamy sigh and ignore the shocked and questioning looks on his friends faces.
